Procter & Gamble leaking hearing aid batteries

I bought a 16 count package of Duracell 312 hearing aid batteries. So far, 7 out of 11 of them have quit working in 2 - 3 days. And they are leaking! I called the customer service phone number only to be told that it wasn't "battery acid" and they would send me a coupon for replacements. The $10 off coupon didn't cover the cost and who wants to use more of a product they don't trust. I'm afraid that these leaking batteries will ruin my $$$expensive hearing aids.

Procter & Gamble AA & AAA batteries

This is to inform you that the "duracell batteries" "aa" "aaa" "d" in the past three years has caused great damage to the devices that I installed the batteries into. This "battery leadage" I thought was just a temporary manufacture discrepancy. However, in purchasing the above mentioned batteries at different locations and at different dates through the last couple of years the situation did not improve. The above mentioned batteries were still causing damage to the devices I used them in. So of course I went to another name brand of batteries and haven't had any damages. I even used the same type of batteries from "dollar tree" which is at very low cost and the battery would go dead and "no leakage" this is a shame "a no name battery is used at a very low price" and causes no problems. I went online and found many other similar complaint dating back to 2010, I would have thought there would have been an investigation, etc. To correct the problem and to reestablish "good customer service" obviously that is not important to duracell! I will be informing everyone I come in contact with, by any means possible, to get this information of "poor product manufacturing and very unconcerned customer service" I would imagine by the company I am sending this complait through is just a go between to detour these complaints so duracell can claim they had "no idea of these complaints" disappointed consumer

Over the past two years I have had numerous electronic products damaged caused from leaking Duracell batteries. I have used Duracell for many years but I no longer can afford to use them due to the cost of repairs and in most cases replacement of destroyed equipment. Duracell where is your quality? Nothing but problems with these batteries.

I've had many devices damaged my leaking Duracell batteries. I have to throw away a Grundig radio, an answering machine, multiple flashlights and several other things due to the batteries leaking and eating away the battery contacts. The acid leaked into my Grundig radio and destroyed it. Several of my friends had the same problem. I pointed out that they were Duracell batteries. I no longer buy Duracell and advise my friends no to either. Duracell needs to fix the problem.

Procter & Gamble not near as good as your previous bra

I've been buying sam's batterries for yrs. since you changed to the duracell i've noticed they don't have power or the lasting cranking power of the old Champions you use to sell. don't know why you change a good thing. Golf carts you better be close to the shop when the gauge moves at all and i just changed my 5 yr old batteries in one of my large trucks preparing for winter, tempted to put the old ones back in. Looking for a new battery supplier. l Disapointed Larry Sanger

Procter & Gamble leakage

WARNING for all Duracell batteries from AAA to D size. I have purged my entire electronic equipment of all duracell batteries. They now destroyed another piece of equipment through the failure of leakage. Even prior to the expiration date on the side. I've lost an expensive Nikon SB Flash to quality flashlights to clocks. They don't seem to be able keep their chemicals inside and the leakeage has destroyed my hard earned equipment and electronics. Their failure rate is extremely high compared to the other brands. What seems to be the problem? The part everyone will encounter is the equipment that isn't used everyday and has been sitting around in a normal enviroment waiting to used. No more "Copper Tops" and leaky bottoms for me.

Just came looking for other peoples comments as I've just found yet another product destroyed by Duracell. Batteries still got charge, but leaked out and corroded the terminals in what was by best LCD clock. I've lost countless other devices in the past mostly non-replicable items. I won't be buying Duracell ever again, and looking to get compensation from Duracell for the damage.

Procter & Gamble Damaged vehicle interior

I purchased the Linen/Fresh Scent Febreeze Liquid Air freshener that is made to clip on to your air vent. I have had it in my car for four days now. Today I noticed it leaked all the way down my dashboard, and completely stripped away the paint. I am irate because it is a product specifically made for the car interior, yet it is not friendly at all with the contact of any car surface. Do not buy! And do not buy any liquid air freshener. It will easily damage your cars interior when come in contact with.

You can contact P&G and they will send you a complaint questionnaire, which if completed they will consider, review your claim. The catch is you need to have the Febreze Clip-on AND the original packaging. I spent the time to fill out the questionnaire, take/send (12) pictures, acquire (2) damage estimates (Nissan's quote was over $3, 000) and explained I thought it was unreasonable expectation for a consumer to have the packaging for a $5.00 air freshener for over a week after purchase, PLUS save an air freshener that was leaking on your hand and just damaged the dash board of a new car…The response boils down to thanks for filling out the form, but without the clip-on and packaging we cannot “evaluate the merits of your claim.” In other words by requiring the packaging and clip-on they can skirt the fast majority of claims.

I am so upset this has caused so much damage to my car which was supposed to improve it. Why would they put a solution that would damage the interior of the car plus at flimsy plastic cover. I am a single mom. I can afford an attorney and it devalued my car a lot now. I am so upset I’m hysterically crying. Why would you make this?

Same here! I Purchased the Hawaiian sent febreze vent clip for my 2017 focus that I have owned for less than six months. The clip leaked all over the dash and console and stripped away the finish. I am just sick about it because this is the first brand new car I have ever owned and until now everything was immaculate. I can’t believe a three dollar vent clip has ruined part of my interior. There should be a class action lawsuit against febreze and we should all be reimbursed for the damages that we’ve incurred due to these faulty vent clips. I don’t understand why they are still on the market when the company knows that they can cause this type of damage!

Procter & Gamble ivory bar soap has shrunk!!

Proctor & Gamble is cheating the customer by making the bars of bath soap smaller at the same price!
For decades they put out a decent product at a decent size then, they slip in a smaller bar and now they've even managed to make it even smaller, again!
This is nothing, but pure greed!

Stop buying from them to show them without us their profit will shrink to zero!

Raise the price and stop shrinking the hand soap! Who wants to open a new bar more often thus wasting the customers time (on top of customers $$). Here's another thought: I don't care if the damn thing floats, so how bout taking the air out and put more soap in? It's not greed, it's stupidity at P&G!

Procter & Gamble straps that's breaking & gel

Goodday

I've been using pampers since 5 years ago with my first born, now all
Of a sudden when I started with pampers again, pampers has become
A problem, whenever I clean my 7 weeks old baby, the straps seems to fall
Off, this is now the 3rd pack I'm using, and even with the 1st 2 I've had this
Problem, and I didn't bother to call pampers, cos I thought its not necessary,
But now I'm just fed up, and I mean, pampers is not cheap to waste like that.
I'm really considering to change my brand. Even when I take it off, then the gel
Is against my babies bum.

Hi, I have recently purchased a box of the premium nappies as I was pacing my sons bag I noticed the quality of the new nappies is considerable different - the older nappies had a strip which turns a different colour when wet the new one there are no indicators and the nappies itself is of poor quality this is only the latest problems - When I made the choice to go with Pampers, I was told it is the best in the market even though it is expensive while when I first started I didn't have any complaints of late the issues seems to add up - 1 my previous purchase was even worse every time we had to change the baby we had to clean up the gel that falls out the nappies, as well while some of the nappies keeps the wetness in some of them don't, we have to change the babies clothes at night as the nappies does not keep him dry - other purchases 1 when opening the nappy it tore as it was stuck together about 45% to 50% of the box was put into the bin as they could not be used - another purchase straps just tore of about 10 - 15 nappies - It seems as if the quality of the nappies are getting worse and now that my son is active we find the nappy becomes undone and fall out - I am lucky that I have not had an embarrassing incident outside my home but I shouldn't be experiencing any fall outs :-( - My Email address is veleshramchander@yahoo.com - PAMPERS WE HAVE A PROBLEM

Good day. I am really frustrated with Pampers diapers. My son had an allergic reaction to his huggies. I switched over to pampers but so dissapointed with the EXPENSIVE diaper. My son did not even pee twice and all the gel is falling out of the side? Its so frustrating becuase when night time changes come i have to clean is whole crib that is full of gel! I bought 3 jumbo pack but are so dissapointed. I would like to know what is going to be done about it. Like we all said its expensive. My boy used a jumbo pack huggies 2 weeks now with pampers its a jumbo pack every week. I have photos to show that the diapers is torn and that its not even full yet. I've got a similar problem to the ones mentioned above. The little rubber bands at the sides always seem to come loose/break, leaving the nappy wide open on the one side, resulting in leakage. This is a huge frustration as I've bought quite a lot of nappies in advance, also because I used to trust pampers in the past. It's got nothing to do with the activity or size, as my baby is only 4 weeks old and therefore not very active, and the size is correct according to his weight. I feel pampers is one of the leading brands in nappies and therefore should provide a certain service/quality that goes with the price/name. At this stage, according to me, that's not happening. Please do something. Hope to hear from you soon. Thank you in advance. janetmostert@telkomsa.net

The quality of Pampers nappies have dropped. I have been using size 4+ . I usually buy a box. recently 2 boxes had gel that is so hard and uncomfortable for my baby. the straps breaks and there's always leakage. in most of those Pampers the cushion is not even. I had to throw away almost half.
Very disappointed about the quality of Pampers that are made. Pampers are not cheap.

Hello, I am very disappointed with the box of pampers I purchased from my local asda store.
out of a box of 30 odd nappies atleast 20 of those nappies were rubbish! I barely even get the strap around my child & it rips off, what is going on there? At first I thought it was my fault but after the third nappy & barely tugging the strap at all I realised its the quality of the nappies.. I have always bought this brand of nappies for my child & would like to carry on buying them but the quality of the straps are terrible & I can't afford to buy nappies for the fun of it a lot like a lot of other mothers! I would apreciate if you could email me? A simple apology wouldn't go a miss.

I am very disappointed with pampers. I am using active baby size 4+ and the urine and gel are leaking out of the diapers 95 percent of the time. I have thrown away several unused diapers. Every time i think that i bought a bad batch but doing some recearch its amazing that so many people are experiencing the same problem with pampers. My 13 month old baby battles with nappy rash, is the leaking gel in the pampers diapers the root cause for the rash?

Procter & Gamble leaking/corroded batteries

February 16, 2012

We have used duracell batteries all our lives, my husband and I are 55 years old, we have 3 grown children and currently 4 grandchildren we are battery consumers trust me and we have always bought duracell.

Over the last year we have had a 3 cell flashlight completely ruined from leaking battery acid, we couldn't even get the batteries out they were so badly corroded. Also we had the same thing in a regular flashlight and most recently just yesterday our thermostat went completely dead (not great in Northern Wisconsin in February) for our furnace and when we removed the cover low and behold there were two double AA duracell batteries leaking battery acid and corrision all over the place.

I guess its time to give up the ghost on the duracell's and go for something else everready I guess!

I hope something can be done about this. Thank you Cindy Brandis

Around Christmas of 2013 I bought a 10 pack of Duracell AA batteries. I put one in a clock and a week later the clock stopped working. I put in another battery and
the same thing happened. Then my granddaughter stopped by with a clock for Christmas gift, we tried to put a battery in it but the battery appeared to be too big. We tried another, it went in but the clock didn't run. Then my TV remote quit working, I put a new Duracell in it and the TV turned on but then nothing else would work. When I went to remove the battery, the whole compartment was full of whitish powder. It was ruined and no type of battery would work I then noticed that my new Duracells with an expiration of Dec 2023 had Chinese symbols next to the AA. Apparently these batteries are now manufactured in China. So Goodbye Duracell and Hello American made Energizers. Will now alert all my family, friends, and post on Facebook.

I've noticed same thing. I used to use Duracell exclusively without problem. Now, it seems that everything I have Duracell in has corroded, ruining the devices. I told my daughter to check her devices too, and sure enough, they were corroding too. I took out one battery and it ruined the finish on my dresser with leakage. It would appear that something has changed with Duracell quality. I no longer trust them to be a top notch battery.

Procter & Gamble leaking batteries

Four AA batteries with a 2016 usable date on them leaked into the battery copmpartment of my WII Fit Balance Board. The batteries have been in the board for about one year. The contact points in the board were corroded and pottasium hydoxide powder was all over the batteries and the battery box. I was able to clean up the mess, install new batteries (Eveready) and the board was functional. This is the third time I have had corrosion/leakage from Duracell batteries. Duracell has no guarantee on its batteries and their quality control seems to have suffered lately.

I have had many - and yes, I mean many - Duracell double-a batteries leak into expensive equipment in the last two years. Previously batteries only leaked if they were dead and left in the device too long afterwards. Now the batteries leak before they go dead. This means that the damage isn't discovered until the functionality of the expensive sleep-sound travel alarm clock, or telephone headset, or digital recording device, or television or stereo remote are close to ruin. Or, sadly, have already been ruined. What are they thinking? I will never buy another Duracell product again. And one can clearly see from my list of troubled device that I have almost exclusively used this brand for years.

Procter & Gamble leaked

I had bought 8nos of duracell aa batteries expiring in 2013. I had fixed 4 batteries on my slr a few weeks back. When I tried to use the camera it was not working. When I opened the battery compartment, I find that the duracell batteries have leaked & the camera is damaged beyond repair. I have the other 4 batteries in their original packing & I find that these duracell batteries have also leaked. I had made a customer complaint & since p&g wanted to collect the proof & evidences without a commitment, I refused to send the leaked batteries in the original packing & the damaged camera. It is interesting to note from customer service that it is the policy of p&g not to share the email id's of their senior officers for escalating a complaint. Man, if this is the case let us all join & put in some sense that no company can exist without "customer satisfaction.

It also dripped on my center counsel and ate through that plastic. I take great measures to make sure my car is maintained and to have it damaged by an air freshener is awful.

Hi, purchased your product which I find very pleasant and not overpowering ideal to spray in the bathroom.
Purchased 6 spray cans out of which 3 failed to spray after using 2 or 3 times, threw one away but have kept 2 for your perusal if so wished, please inform of what you intend to do about this problem.
Kind regards Ray.

I purchased one of these thinking it would last longer than it does, especially considering the initial cost, and man was I disappointed. Not only can I not get my money back but you have to continue to buy batteries for this thing as well. The fragrance should last longer than a day or so, cause that's all I got.

I have had at least 6 cans of mist and refresh, with the same effect. Half way down the can it starts to trickle out, then wont spray at all. All of these have had to be thrown away half full. I for one think this is getting a bit ridiculous. All of the cans were purchased from different places, so i think their must be something wrong with the spray nozzle. Please put this right as i adore your products, and would hate to stop buying them, which i will do if i get another can that dose not work. I would very much like a response to this from someone who can correct the situation.

Procter & Gamble I am very disappointed with this inferior product and the money I have wasted

I have used it about seven times and now it no longer will eject the cleaner onto the floor. I have changed the batteries three times. Each time the Swiffer still fails to work.

I am very disappointed with this inferior product and the money I have wasted.

I have tried several times to contact customer service on the internet, all to no avail.

I have the Wet Jet and this one when you have it head down, constantly leaks. Never had problems with the first one that came into sales.

I have bought many of these and the biggest disappointment is that it stops spraying for no fore see able reason. The batteries are fresh, it is clear at the sprayer, etc. They send coupons for move batteries or solution but that is not fixing the issue!

I have bought swiffer wet jet also. At least 4 of them. They all end up not working after about 3 months. I really like the ease of their use, but not sure if I'll buy another. Wasting my money.

We are on our second Swiffer in one year because the handle broke on the first one with normal pushing pressure. Everything else has worked well, but we are very disappointed that the handle gives away so easily. Would appreciate a reimbursement or replacement.

I bought a Swiffer Wet Jet to use in my kitchen and entry-way. Didn't try it right away. I even bought extra pads. When I tried to use it, it didn't work. The button that controls the solution didn't work. Tried it many times, still didn't work - wasted my money and I'm on social security.

I ordered a TV from Procter & Gamble. It came damaged and I called up the company and they said they were sending a replacement. I am absolutely disappointed with the service as the one they sent me last was damaged too.

I am very disappointed with the swifter wet jet. I bought 4 and gave them to some friends. I had one but it stopped spraying. The new ones also stopped spraying. I'm very embarrassed because theirs stopped as well. How many do I have to buy before I get one that works ? It's like throwing money out the window. Thanks Procter & Gamble !

Procter & Gamble quality of pampers nappies take a dive

I'm a staunch Pampers baby nappy supporter. Had my 1st daughter 3 years ago, and Pampers, although pricier that competitor products, always delivered. Had my 2nd daughter in November last year and stocked up on my trusty Pampers nappies. I kept one of my first born's 'New Baby No 1' nappies for sentimental reasons, and compared it to the new batch purchased for my new born. They were visibly thinner and more plastic feeling but still effective. The problem came in with 'New Baby No 2' range. My baby leaked through them like a sift! No matter how tight, loose, high or low I tried to fasten them, nothing worked. The problem seems to be the gel strip that does not extend high enough at the back of the nappy. Even tried Pampers' 'Sleep and Play No 2' with same result. I had spent a significant amount of money on utterly useless nappies I am now stuck with and had to change to Huggies. Why are the consumers being done in once hooked with inferior quality? Of course the new 'cotton feel' Pampers range does not have this problem (received a complimentary pack), but is ridiculously expensive! Mommies out there: Be warned! What a dissapointment.

@ Nicky
You have to contact Pampers. You won't get a response from them here. Call the number on the package of diapers.

Procter & Gamble defective 9 volt batch

I have experienced numerous Duracell 9 Volt coppertop batteries being "dead" right out of the newly opened package. Batteries affected have the date stamp MAR 2014 on the side of them. I have atempted to contact the consumer line but their automated voice system does not give specific guidance in reporting 9 volt battery issues. After the voice finishes its message, it automatically disconnects the call. I would like to inform whomever at Duracell that the 9 volt batteries date stamped MAR 2014 may be a bad batch and may need a recall. Thanks!

Procter & Gamble lack of integrity and values

Dear Tide, I have been satisfied with most of your commercials until of late. This one goes against the family integrity and values. We teach our children to tell the truth, yet a mother diliberately tells her daughter that she has not seen her top. When, in fact, she vividly recalls wearing it, staining it, then hiding it. When asked, she wash the top, in Tide of course, puts it back in her room. Then when her daughter wears it, her comment was, "Oh, I see you found the top."
Daughter totally innocent blames it on herself for not finding it.
A mother sits back satisfied she lied to her daughter, smiles and drink
her coffee.
America wonders why so many of our children knows how to lie, cheat and steal. Don't be a part of condoning such behavior.

I totally agree with your opinion that this commercial condones a mother lying to her daughter. I too found that disturbing. thought I was the only one. Unfortunately many more commercials show this type of behavior as well.

People lie, cheat, and steal for a million reasons that have nothing to do with the Tide commercial on TV. Any properly raised child should know not to imitate everything they see on television.

Procter & Gamble I will never buy another product from them

Everyone should boycott proctor and gamble. They are shrinking their packages and still charging the same price. Case in point - charmin bath tissue. The mega rolls used to have 400 sheets; now they have 352. Don't these idiots think we notice these things? They believe their consumers are stupid. Buy the northern soft and strong or white cloud from walmart. All better and cheaper. I will never buy another p&g product.

Procter & Gamble leaking batteries

Here is a copy of the complaint that I lodged with P&G today:
I wish to lodge a formal Complaint regarding leaking Duracell AA Batteries.

Over the last 12 months, I have had numerous situations where Duracell AA Batteries have leaked inside of various pieces of equipment.

All of these batteries were within date range. They made a mess and caused discolourization to the equipment.

The number of batteries that I have replaced over the last year due to leakage, is more than 10. The latest was today (8/13/2010) where I went to replace the batteries in a handheld aviation radio, only to find that 4 out of the 6 batteries had leaked...again! This had happened to this radio with Duracell batteries back in January as well.

I've had enough!
I want an appology!

Yours, a disgruntled customer,
Paul Carew.

I have experienced the same problems with Kirkland (COSTCO) brand, which are made by P&G. Batteries were marked "best if installed by" March 2010, and March 2012. Destroyed a Cannon compact digital camera, among other items.

Procter & Gamble diaper exchange

I recently visited one of you stores to exchange pampers diapers that my daughter received as a baby shower gift.I simply wanted a larger size as the newborn were to small as her son was born at almost nine pounds .I was more then happy to pay the difference in the price .She had received many newborn diapers and he would have outgrown them before being able to use them.I of course didn't have the receipts as they were received as shower gifts.I was deeply disappointed to learn your poilicy is only to refund the lowest retail price within the last 90 days. Both bags of diapers retailed for $13.99 yet I only received a price of $3.99 a bag.The diapers had only been bought within the last two weeks .I find it very disturbing that a corporation the size of yours are allowed to rip the customer off in such a manner.I think we both know that the two bags of diaper that I was refunded $3.99 for will be placed back on the shelve and sold again for the price of $13.99 as well as I have never seen pampers sold at a price of $3.99.It sickens me that you would have such a policy in place. Its expensive enough trying to provide for a baby without a large corporation taking advantage of their customers .I will not be shopping at Zeller any longer and will advise all my friends and family of such unetical policis.I should also add that I returned diapers at Lawton without any problems in the return .I was refunded the regular price and paid the difference for the the larger size and Walmart also said they would issue a gift card for the regular retail price.I'm sure local newpapers would be interested in your "Rip of the Customer" policies as well.Perhaps you should reveiw your thoughts on your return policies to improve customer service because if not for your coustomer you would not be in bussiness.
