On 31.5.22, I arranged with Fantastic Services for two cleaners to be sent to my property for two hours at 1600.
Instead, three cleaners arrived at 1530: no effort made to clean their hand upon entry, nor clarify what my wishes were.
Instead I was met with sighing and irritation.
I used google translate to translate my wishes into Bulgarian as it was clear they had no intention of communicating otherwise. They read the instructions out loud and thanked me. My instructions were clear: focus on the three downstairs bedrooms, downstairs bathroom, downstairs toilet and shower; move the furniture and clean thoroughly. When they moved into the kitchen area, I again stated that I wished those areas to be done thoroughly.
I left the property for 30 mins.
When I arrived back, the three were upstairs in the bathroom, slamming my soft-closing fittings shut forcefully. The upstairs walk-in closet door had been opened in the wrong direction, partially avulsing the hinges from the frame. It now hangs skewed and cannot be opened without further damaging the frame.
In the kitchen, I found an expensive crystal glass on the counter, half empty with three defrosting ice cubes. Food had been taken from the pantry.
On inspecting the rooms, the baby's room smelt of cigarettes and spiders webs remained around the window frame. In my office/ bedroom, my papers had been moved but NO attempt to dust ANY of the surface has been made. Two dead flies remained on my cream carpet.
I am appalled.
Further comment has been made by the company to my personal account: refund has been given however no effort to fix the damage to the upstair walk-in wardrobe door. The previous offer of repair has been rescinded by the Customer Care Team. Their response: "With regard to the damage, the provider denies responsibility for that as it would take a lot of force to detach the hinges from the frame like that and the cleaners would never do such a thing intentionally".
Two adults live in the house and built the house; we clearly know which direction the door opens.
This matter is not resolved and will be escalated. I have asked for the complaints procedure within the company but have not received a response. I would be grateful if anyone has insight to this.
