My Electrolux dryer purchased in December of 2023 developed a loud noise after a few months and the Blower Wheel was replaced under warranty. A couple months later the same noise occurred and the wheel was again replaced under warranty. In August of 2025 it happened again and this time I had to pay the $305 labor cost as my warranty had expired. Electrolux supplied the plastic wheel at no charge- they did take responsibility for this issue which I appreciated, however, why should I be punished? They recognized the problem; supplied the part that was faulty; therefore accepted responsibility.
The problem is clearly a design flaw and was not corrected during warranty and I should not have to bear this cost forever more.
As an architectural designer I recommended Electrolux highly to many of my clients and now I am feeling badly about that decision.
Claimed loss: $305 for labor replacing a wheel the third time and three scheduling experiences, taking time off to be home, etc. What about the next time?
Desired outcome: Replace dryer or free labor for 5 years.
