I file a claim for unemployment on 09/13/2012 my telephone interview was scheduled on 09/28/2012. My employer submitted false statements (I worked for a California Tribe, they have sovereign immunity and do NOT follow any state laws) Today is 10/08/2012 my claims has not been resolved. So I decided to submit an online inquiry since thier 800 number does not answer phone calls. Now, the only proof that I had that I was in fact terminated by this tribe was COBRA documentation confirming my termination. The following is the response that I received from the California State Unemployment office! I need to submit this to someone who cares, if any in that agency :

I have not found employment yet as of 10/03/2012. I have not provided a false statement I have been terminated since 09/13/2012 my medical benfits were also terminated as of 09/30/2012, in fact I recieved COBRA documentation, this documentation confirms my termination of employment from Tule River Indian Tribe of California. My employer has not provided me with my final wages of accrued paid time off. Please reinsvestigate and confirm your actions.

How is our response incorrect, YOU told EDD on your application that your last day worked was 9/13/12 and you are telling EDD again in your email that your last day worked was 9/13/12 so how is our response incorrect? And again, the first week of your claim is 9/9/12-9/15/12. We do not care about your Cobra documentation as it has nothing to do with your Unemployment Insurance claim. You need to reevaluate your information.

I bet this is from the lady I was talking to today.
I have been trying to get through for a long time sence 11/15/2020 is when i filled out my clam sence then i havent got ahold of edd when i finolly did i was told i was under the old sestem and i wasnt prossesed yet that i had to go through idme and get varified then i would get a varification # i do this and nothing im told there was no. edd you are heartless, cold, you have no concern for human beings. Im ashamed to think this is America, HAHA .. But hey EDD has ramped up its ability to handle CRAP! Ive been beaten, lost everything i own, got a fever of 101 degrees . been told ill get call backs, never did. I guess thats what you get when you work from home. A Bunch of lazy people who could care less. Ill be sleeping on the ground tonight watching my wife cry her self to sleep cold and hungry as i hold her and tell her its going to be ok.. EDD do you know how it feels to watch the person you love more than life cry hungry and cold and you cant do a thing to help because the people who have jobs paid for my our taxes are sitting at home doing [censored] but eating bon bons while the supervisors do so much less..
In June 2020 i filed for UI and since my last job was for myself ending in March 2020 i received 347 a week and was a pua claim. was awesome until i realized the referee from ID ME wrote the last digit of my social down wrong. The edd told me to open a new claim and that would fix everything, HA now they cant find my original claim, they have me under someones social ending with 7429 not even close to mine. It have been over 5 months i have lost my home, got covid, been beaten up by homeless people for mine and my wifes blankets, lost literally everything we own due to not being able to pay for our storage, ive lost 25 lbs, Cant get into a shelter because i worry them that i still have a cough and they might get sick. I have eaten chips for days cause its all we can afford, today for the 3rd day in a row i have a fever of 101 degrees . im 53 years old and my wife has a mental disability she has spent several nights in the emergency room due to this. Im going to probably lose my wife and probably literally die. I have had to verify ID 5 times and never shoulda had to because the referee from ID me is the one who messed up. they wont help me at all im a human being, we all are and look how we are treated, its like a 3rd world country. im begging for help, no one cares.. Im pissed when i hear people who filed bogus claims or panhandled and got ui benifits and they never have issues. Ive done nothing wrong now they finally were going to give me monet but for last 8 weeks now im getting penalty weeks when i certify and i did nothing wrong. lets get a class action lawsuit all of us we deserve it.. god bless you all Joe San Diego

EDD is not just shameful, but they are CORRUPT. I had someone call me from this phone number today, [protected]. The shadiest SCUM on Earth so I called and reported this anonymous SCUM with the Federal agency. Told the agency that the woman left a nasty voicemail alleging I used foul language when EDD FAILED TO PAY MY RIGHTLY BENEFITS TIMELY. The EDD holds millions of people's money and gives everyone a hard time, acting like they are the police. Federal Agency will now investigate this corrupt EDD worker and I told her that I want a complaint filed immediately. Folks like me, PLEASE feel free to call and report against the EDD at this number, and start to lodge formal complaints against the SCUM: [protected]. Sacramento AND Washington DC needs to know that EDD is literally harassing and stealing people who have NO JOBS and want their money paid timely. EDD should be audited and be penalized from charging overpayments wrongfully and treating unemployed workers like jail criminals. The Government needs to lower THEIR SALARIES AND BENEFITS, from the workers to the Judges. The EDD system is worst than the mafia. It is time that government officials from EDD be complained against and be criminally charged for their civil harassment and causing us jobless people emotional distress! It is time that something is done about them and they ARE INVESTIGATED.
How did you report this? I just had a disgusting conversation with a “tier two” specialist who kept speaking to me like I am an incompetent imbecile. I am searching where exactly I can report her unprofessional demeanor.

I am in agreement with EJEBB who stated: "I am a tax payer receiving horrible services from the state, who has lazy employees, (that I help to pay their salaries with my tax money), too many different agencies which confuse tax payers, shame on you!..and...They hide in p.o. box numbers and different desks to confuse the public!"
I hope someone is reading these complaints and taking them seriously.
I have been treated unjustly and with prejudice which led to the discontinuance of a claim.
Because of that I stubbornly did't report that I worked ONLY ! Hour /week. (Admittedly, my mistake).so EDD billed me $900 of overpayment which they said I needed to pay back. Since then I filed an appeal, and they set a date of shortly after Christmas, when I was visiting family. When I forgot about it they told me too bad! REally? Christmas? They knew people have a tendency to be kind of busy at that time of year so my buess is they do this on purpose.
I have tried several times to communicate with EDD and they either don't answer the phone, or get extremely impatient and huffy on the phone, or pretend to get very impatient with me and hang up after only talking to me for 5 minutes (after I have waited no less than 10-20 minutes for them to answer the phone in the 1st place). I have a mind to drive all the way to Sacramento and talk to someone in person.
Yes this is [censor] unbelievable more than not they are [censor], I got one that really helped. Of course it didn't take long for somone too [censor] that up again. I haven't seen any money for over a month bills need to get paid but what do they care hell no, its not their [censor] getting turned off. Why in the [censor] do they need ten days to make a determination when its so clear, bottom line is I called in sick at the job site, a 3 hrs. Later I get a call that the manager at that particular establishment does not want me back out there (this mgr. Does not work for my co.) my boss asked if something happened between me an mgr. I said no everything went great, my boss told me stay home the next day that he would be having lunch with them an see about getting back out there. Well for some reason this mgr. Doesn't want me back out there. So my boss said sit at home hang tight let me see where I can put you... We stayed in touch he told me he was about to a job walk that Friday... This week I filled out my claim and put out of work due to lack of work, staying in contact with co. So imagine how surprised I was when the co. Said I volunteerly quit, I told the interviewer I never quit really a $ 33.60 hr. I would be stupid to quit, now tell me what takes 10 days.
Pay me my money stop acting like its your money
My case was the worst i've seem. I filed on 2014 my claim and I won twice, presenting all proofs and evidences to my case. my employer was a no show for the hearing without a serious justification for his action. very angry, because I won, at this point the employer reopened the same case and filed with a different number. guess what edd accept that! f.. ing me up big time. now we have two cases. the one I was receiving my benefits without any problems on regular week basis, and the second case that was the fact the employer didn't showed for the hearing without no justification and reopened the same case with a different number to get rid of the situation. of course the two cases got mixed and confused to understand and edd stopped my regular payments. edd fault to accept the reopening case. I appealed! to correct the problem and won my merits and benefits because they are and still in effect. now the employer who had no reasons at the first place to do a reopening case, is extremely angry and pissed off, and decided to take me to the appeals board, the employer last chance to fight, against me who won twice. I don't give up easy, I am a fighter too, specially when things are in my favor. I end up had to file a writ of mandate to the appeals board to correct the mistake in a superior court in los angeles downtown, and I did all by myself no attorney help, cause would cost more money. all done! got the day of the conference hearing just for court approval. guess what after all this nightmare, pain in suffering me broken, running back and fourth, I received recently an errata papers from the appeals board and a phone call coming from sacramento that they had fixed my case, and the f... ing edd at this point had a copy of this errata papers too. edd never contact me. now I am super pissed off with all mistakes and errors that the state of california did with me, causing so much pain, suffering waste of time stress. I went to marina del rey office to fix, this problem today. guess what? I got two lazy public employees seat at the front desk telling me that they are work force, and they couldn't solve my problem, but if I go there 8am tomorrow they can help, because this phone number [protected], works only from 8 am to 12pm. lazy f... ing public employees. moral of the story: I am a tax payer receiving horrible services from the state, who has lazy employees, (that I help to pay their salaries with my tax money) many different agencies there to confuse tax payers, dealing with the same subject. and I was right since the beginning that I filed my case! shame on you, get real get better! don't hide in po box numbers and different desks to confuse the public be more transparent in dealing with those claims.
I had problem getting my disability benefits and could never get thru to edd for months calling everydayt! I finally called my senator jean fuller and she helped me and got my benefits. I got 10, 000 check after jean fuller helped me. I would suggest anyone who needs help to contact their senator. hopefully your district has a good senator like kern county does. good luck!
Be careful if you ever get interviewed by the san bernardino pac, interviewers over there will act rudely, ask bogus questions, in order to make you twist your own words so that they can deny you benefits, california government is a sham and fraud. while all these hardworking californians have gotten lied about governor brown gives them a raise as an award for this type of behaviour. I wish I could go work for a governmental group like the edd and just make up lies and get paid for it!... wait I have morals so that won't work, government lies.
They do not answer calls or return emails
I am also having problems with the edd. ca.gov they do not answer calls, emails or correspondance. I have not seen a check in over a month and still do not know what the status of my claim is!
I have also had significant problems with chard synder.

I have the same problem with Chard-Snyder. Cannot get the same story from two representatives. Countless mistakes, claim not processed, FSA not paid. Absolute incompetency!
