Yesterday, 8th July 2024 I went to the Ecco shop in Birmingham, my new nearest Ecco store. I had phoned Ecco company and they told me that I would have to take them to an Ecco Store. I had thrown the first shoes, a trainer type shoe away but then two others of my Ecco shoes did the same thing. The soles completely disintegrated. One shoe was leather top, in excellent condition without any scuffs, the other pair were leather sandals, very supportive and the style I liked but again the soles completely disintegrated. The lady managing the shop said the most she could do was to give my 30% off a new pair. Ivsucvombed to buying a new pair of walking sandals with a 39% discount. (I found out later that these walking sandals were in the sale online anyway with a 30% discount so in reality I received no compensation. This has greatly distressed me since Ecco shoes are very expensive anyway.The-new sandals which I bought were £100 but had a discount attached so we’re £70. This is still expensive for sandals. I hope I haven’t been foolish in purchasing them. I in fact received no compensation whatever for the three pairs of shoes which were unrepairable. I left the two pairs with the lady managing the shop who said no-one else had complained about this disintegration. I told her I would write to you about this, I also spent over £20 in having to get to the shop. It would have cost a lot less if I could have posted them to you. I was told by the person I spoke to that I would have to go to an Ecco shop to get compensation.

I received no compensation, just spent £70 more than I was intending.

Having now read some reviews and complaints I see that this is a fairly common complaint about Ecco Shoes soles disintegrating. I would like some further compensation for my time, expense and for the £70 I spent on a new pair of sandals. I hope you will at least refund me for these.I can photograph the receipt and my fares for this outing.

Claimed loss: Three pairs of Ecco shoes, two leather ones, my fares to Birmingham from Bishops Castle in Shropshire, the new sandals costing £100 which were in the sale for £70.

Desired outcome: At least compensation for the new walking sandals I bought, on 8th July 2024 from the Birmingham store. Please refund me.
