This company was fast, responsive, and did the job for a good price. I would love to use their services again. They scanned around 150 old slides like they said, answered my questions fast, and were nice and efficient. I wish everyone we deal with online was like this!

A very good experience from start to finish. All my questions were answered quickly before I placed an order, and the company's communications were timely and informative. I had slides and prints converted to digital format, and they did a great job within the estimated time and cost.

DpsDave processed over 700 slides from the 40s to the 70s for me. The digital images came back lookin' great. A few slides were fallin' apart and they didn't charge nothin' extra for handlin' 'em. They put the images into folders accord'n to how I had sorted 'em, named each photo image appropriately, and the shippin' process was flawless. I recommend this service.

During my military service in the USAFSS in the early 1960s, I started takin slides. For various reasons, I hadn't seen any of them in 4 decades. I tried converting some on my own years ago but it was slow and the results were iffy. Recently (2019) someone recommended DPSDave. I was very cautious as I had never heard of them and my slides were very important to me. The service was excellent. They answered my questions and stepped me through the process. I had two concerns. One was losing them or damage in shipping and the other was quality of results. They used *** which I've found to be the most reliable package delivery system and I was thrilled with the results! I had a couple of special requests and they were done exactly as requested. These are good folks. I will be using them for other conversions and have already recommended them to family and friends. In early 2021, I sent DPS *** my old 35mm slides and negatives for digitization. I gave them clear instructions on which negatives to digitize and eagerly awaited the results. Unfortunately, the results were awful. Not only did they completely ignore my instructions, but the digital files were unusable due to terrible color and sharpness. I called DPS *** to discuss the issue and was promised a call back after they spoke with ***. However, they never called me back. Whenever I called again, I would always be transferred to voicemail and despite leaving messages, I never received a returned call. This has been going on for about a year now with no resolution. Frustrated, I decided to send the same slides and negatives, with the exact same instructions, to another professional digitizer. The results were fantastic - sharp images with vivid colors, and they had no trouble following my instructions. On DPS ***'s website, they talk about trust, reliance, and integrity, but this couldn't be further from the truth. They cannot be trusted to call you back as they claim, they lack the ability to follow even the simplest instructions, and they don't stand behind their promise of a quality product. In short, they lack the integrity to do the right thing. I strongly advise staying away from DPS ***!

I found DPS Dave to be really slow in responding. There was a problem with some VHS tape conversions. The conversion quality was bad, and there was extra noise on top of the conversion (on both conversions, but NOT on both originals), like it came from the equipment. Also, the converted video had so much distortion that one of them was almost unwatchable. I contacted the company and they ignored me through online chat, call, and 12 emails multiple times (between Sept of 2020 and March ). I kept trying and months later they finally responded. They said it was probably just the tape's quality, but if I wanted to pay again to ship it to them, they would try again (at first they even said it would cost more, but I argued). But by the time they got back to me this time, I had already given up and sent the tapes to another company. DPSDave responded again and said that if the quality of the conversions improved with the new company, they would refund my expenses. Surprisingly, both tapes came back from the new company MUCH better. I contacted DPSDave again to ask for reimbursement and show them proof of the improved conversions. Once again, they ignored me for many weeks. In the end, I disputed the charges on my credit card and gave them all the written proof. Interestingly, shortly after I filed the dispute, I got a check from DPSDave. I'm giving them two stars instead of one just because they were at least decent enough to offer reimbursement if I got a better conversion somewhere else. It shouldn't be this hard to get a company to do the right thing. NostalgicMedia.com was the company I used for reconversion and I was really happy with the results.

I sent my slides to be scanned by this service at the end of July. They said it would take 16 days, but it's already October and they still haven't finished. They stopped getting back to me too. Last month, they mentioned that their scanner broke, and two weeks ago, they claimed they were almost ready to ship. Now, they don't answer calls or emails. I just want them to tell me when they'll ship my family's slides and return the scanned images to us.

I sent 654 fotos to be scanned and paid $275.77 to have it put on a thumbdrive and shipped. They arrived at the end of May. I noticed that the fotos all had contrast issues so on 6/7 I sent my first email to them received response from *** They had tried to correct some yellowing and offered to adjust the contrast across the board, but the demo foto still looked very different. After not hearing back for a week I sent a followup message. The president of the company *** responded. He offered the originals without contrast. As soon as they sent a demo foto I realized the issue was with the original scan. All of them were significantly distorted compared to the same foto that I did myself at home, which I sent to show the difference. After that e-mail on 6/23 identifying the original scan as the primary issue I never heard back from them again. I sent another email on 7/11 and 7/29 and have not heard back since. I used DpsDave.com LLC to convert 18 slides to digital format. They confirmed receiving the slides on August 19 and mentioned a minimum order of $25. I had a few options to choose from, but I simply asked if they could make prints from the slides or digital files. I also left a voicemail with the same question. Unfortunately, they didn't respond to either attempt, so I sent another email. They misunderstood my question as a negative response to the minimum order and canceled my order, returning the slides. On September 19, I asked about the returned slides, but they didn't reply, not even regarding the shipment tracking number. It's now November 7th, and I still haven't received my slides or any communication from them. I feel the need to escalate this issue to the ComplaintsBoard.com and the Attorney General's Office due to their unfair and deceptive practice.
