Credit Acceptance awful company

I recently purchased a 2002 Dodge Neon from Phil Steinle Motor Cars in Sandusky, Ohio to help prepare my daughter for her future. Had I known I was being lied to right from the start I would have never signed any papers to purchase this car.

It started off by the sales person telling me that I had to put $1900 down on a $7000 vehicle. I know my credit wasn't perfect, but she showed me an approval the day before that did not include putting $1900 down, in fact it was $1500 down. She told me it was because of the different car that my daughter picked out on the day we decided to go for it. She then told me that it was the finance companies policy that I had no choice but to sign an automatic withdrawal form to have the payments taken directly out of my checking account. I believed her on both occassions as her and my daughter attend school together, her daughter has stayed overnight at my home.

The first couple of months were fine and I never had any problems whatsoever getting my payments taken from my account. I then, in July of 2008 had an identity theft on my personal checking account. This caused the August payment to be returned for NSF. I am not disputing this at all. I did however offer confirmaiton from my bank that there was indeed an identity theft and was refused to provide that documentation. I received a call from Credit Acceptance who agreed that I could give a different account and have the payment taken from a different account (my daughters', I figured it was her car and she was giving me the money for it anyway). Credit Acceptance connected me to True Pay who I gave the account information to. I explained to her that it was an ATM account and not a checking account. She said that was no problem as long as I have a routing number and account number. I also confirmed this with my bank who gave me the routing number. I confirmed this information on line as well as with the person on the phone. She also told me that it is not Credit Acceptances policy that the payments have to be made automatic withdrawal.

The payment was then scheduled to be taken out on September 8, 2008. I watched the account and there was no activity for that day or the following 3 days. I then received a call on the 12th from Credit Acceptance (Audrey) asking me why the payment arrangements that I had made were once again returned by the bank for NSF. I told her that the payment wasn't even attempted on the 8th. She informed me that the payment that the payment was attempted on the 8th and the 12th and then changed the story to 'it was returned for a non existing account'. She then said if I can fax her a copy of the bank statement that the payment was to be taken from and can prove that the funds were available on those days, she would clear it up for me. I heard nothing back from her.

On Saturday I received a call once again from Credit Acceptance wanting to know why the payment was not made. I explained the entire story to the person on the phone. She said 'I see the fax that was sent to Audrey reflecting the money was available, however you can't make a payment from an ATM account, it has to be a checking account'. Even though I cleared this with my bank and had verified it with Audrey and another person from True Pay that I gave the information to. She then proceeded to tell me that I had to Western Union the payment, pay even more to send it that way and that also had other charges occurred because of the payment being returned so many times. She said I would have get another checking account and have the payment taken from it instead of my daughters' ATM account.

I then took my daughter to the bank, opened a checking account with her so that I could make the August payment that was due. When I returned to my home to call Credit Acceptance to give them the correct information once again. I was then told that Credit Acceptance or True Pay could no longer accept checks from me to make the payments and that I had to go to Western Union or Money Gram to pay it. I at that point refused to do this.

I called Credit Acceptance back and demanded to speak to a supervisor, I was told there was none available. I called again later and spoke with Gabriel who told me to go to Western Union or Money Gram, or I could mail in a money order. I opted to do the money order because I was not going to pay another dime for a mistake that was not mine.

On Thursday, September 18, 2008. I received a call from Once Choice Recovery that stated her driver was at my car and needed the key to pick it up. I once again ended up on the phone with Credit Acceptance arguing my case. I asked if they could give me 1 hour to go make the payment and to not take that car at that time. They stated that it was up to the driver. I spoke with the driver who of course stated that it was up to Credit Acceptance.

When I called Credit Acceptance again, they miraculously lost all of the notes that pertained to some of the conversations we had over the phone. They even went as far as stating that I never called in to give any new account information. They said in order to redeem the car, I had to pay almost $800. The August payment which is $255.00, The September payment that was just due on the 16th, and a recovery charge. I decided at that time that there was no way Credit Acceptance was getting any more of my money. They have already received $1900, plus the payments I have made so far, plus now they want a recovery fee of $300 for taking the car less than 10 miles from my home?

This company should be put out of business. In doing some research of my own, it appears that there have already been several class action law suits filed and won. It also appears that it is time for another.

I am demanding at this time that my down payment of $1900 be returned to me as well as every payment I have made toward this car. I also am demanding that any adverse item placed on my credit report be taken off immediately.

I will definitely make every attempt to get my story heard by every consumer to let them know to not shop at Phil Steinle's (you can't tell me they don't know how you operate), or get financing from your company. You are the definition of predatory lending.

If there are any pending class action law suits against either of these companies, please let me know. I will gladly join.

I am going to recommend all people dealing with credit acceptance to contact kimmel and silverman at 1 800 lemon law. They will take care of your cases against CREDIT ACCEPTANCE. They will solve all your worries. Trust me. I get no more calls from that company.

I got to experience identity theft just two months after buying through them. The company owner Don Foss was extremely rude, and threatened to kick in my door earlier today when I tried to discuss my intention to sue if they didn't start trying to resolve the discrepancies between the dealer and their customer service. The number he spoke from during the call was [protected] which seems to be a direct line (no prompts.)

I hope I can sue them for reporting a debt owed to them (CAC), on my credit report when the loan was discharged with a bankruptcy.
These ### are the only debt on my credit report other than one credit card I have paid on time in full every month.
For four years, since my bankruptcy that $3, 146 has been listed as a debt to them that was written off with my bankruptcy.
I am calling my attorney today. God, I hope I can get 3 times as much back.
(Oh, and they took my car from a car lot one day before I was going to pay (I called to tell them I had the payment and the money to get it off the lot), so they got there damned collateral back already.

Oh, I see the last post was two years ago. Damn.

Do not finance a bicycle with these people no matter how desparate you may be. My ex-husband financed this car in my name with this company about 3 years ago. The car was garbage to begin with when the A/C went out the first week, the transmission went out at month 2 AND 3. Well luckily someone hit me head on and totaled the piece of junk after the 3rd month. Unlucky for me, I sustained serious injuries but have since recovered. Thank goodness we purchased GAP insurance for this vehicle! I was late 1 week late 1 time and the second you become late they begin to call and harass you beginning at 8am in the morning and ending at 9pm that evening. They even called Saturday and Sunday threatening to reposess the vehicle. Why I'm so angry now is that it has been 3 years since this lemon has been paid off. My auto insurance paid immediately and GAP paid soon after. I was up to date on the payment when the car was totaled. Well Credit Acceptance didn't seem to get that. They have totally wrecked my credit which I have disputed month after month after month. Finally they have removed all the lates from the account from 2 of my reports. So I thought the battle was over...not so fast. They have reported me as being 90 days late last month, and the car has been paid off since NOV of 2006! NEVER NEVER NEVER finance with these people! So now I begin the battle again. It has dropped my credit score dramatically.

I have had similar negative experiences with this company. This company has called me a week BEFORE the payments were due. This constitutes telephone harassment and is illegal.

i have one bad experience with credit acceptance and that was i had to move a payment back so i would have money to pay it, so i called them she seemed nice over the phone said everything was taken back but NEVER put the change in the system so about a week after the original due date i get up and go to leave for school, and come to realize i cant find out they turn the GPS system on in my 05 jeep and deactivate and they said they were come and pick it up the next day... i threw a fit over the phone i the lady in return started getting an attitude back at me. after like a half hour of going back and forth with the dumb [censor] she said she would fix it as a one time courtesy never once said sorry for any inconvenience or sorry for making me miss school... then she has the nerve to tell me i have to call the GPS company to tell them to turn my car back on [censor] if you ask me! so that was my experience with CAC for that was the last bad one *fingers crossed*

I agree Credit Acceptance has the worst customer service reps. I am on unemployment and have been since February. They told me that I would have to pay atleast $425 a month. That is almost a whole umemployment check. But I have been doing that for months. So I wanted to make that payment on the 20 of November because the first check I need for rent. They told be that I could not do that I needed to pay it on the 6th. I just paid out $450 this month. The man in collections told me that there were "other" ways to make money while I am trying to find a job. I thought that was so rude. I asked for his name so that I could call corporate. He said it didnt matter he was in Costa Rica. I could do nothing.

Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. Recently revised in 2006, this law outlines acceptable behavior for debt collectors as they seek to collect money owed. For instance, debt collectors may not do any of the following: * Call you before 8 AM or after 9 PM or at work, unless you agree * Swear at you a she did telling me to hush up and be quiet * Harass you by incessantly telephoning and she did * Continue contacting you if you have notified them in writing to stop and i am going to pay even when i told her i am paying its going to take a while but i am paying * Lie to you about what they plan to do if you don't pay, or about how much you owe and she did * Made threats and thats what i am pissed about i was treated unfairly i was called 5 time on a sunday i am paying on my car payment of 74.00 a week and i owe 184 a month in a half behind! and i am trying to pay i am on unemplmet at this time i have a lawyer at this time helping me with my class action lawsult on something else and at this time i have to contact him because i am being harris by you company on a sunday 5 time the same lady i do not think this is right or fair i know my rights If i feel you are being abused by a debt collector, i can sue the debt collector for actual damages plus court costs, attorney's fees, and up to $1, 000. You can also file a complaint with your state Attorney General's office and the Federal Trade Commission (FTC). Each state has its own laws, and your state Attorney General can help you determine your rights.

Credit Acceptance scam and cheating

In July of 2008 i had my car for a month made my car payment on the 1 if august, wich was my first car payment ever. Paid my note that morning. Me and my family were inside a cell phone store when we came out there was a tow truck and lady standing by my car and had it hooked i asked what was going on she said they were there to take my car. I had told them i made my payment that morning showed them the receipt she tried calling it in whom ever she talked to said it did not show in their computer she told me off went my car. The next day i called credit acceptance and spoke to a lady named audrey she told me i had to pay an extra 700.00 to get my car back. That was the first run in with this company. When i got my car back i called the audrey again and i had asked her if she could set up automatic withdrawal from my checking account she said no problem and i was thinking ok GREAT so everything was going ok for a couple of months until oct.2008 i checked my account nothing was taken out called them back they said they put it threw that morning i said fine waited a couple of more days still nothing was withdrawn. Calle back asked to speak with a supervisor said no one was available called back 2 days later asked to speak with a supervisor again they gave me to a person named Gabriel seemed she knew what she was doing was i ever wrong. She told me they never did automatic withdraw from checking accounts i asked if i could use my debit card she said no. She told me they only take western union and money gram and i said thats bull u know what! To make a long story short i still don't have my car they told when i called the 1st time i had to pay 1375.00 and now its up to 1675.00 i refuse to pay this money and i would urge anybody who wants to buy a car if the salesmen tells you the company is credit acceptance RUN!

KKSMOMMY2008 - Did you not test drive or LOOK at the vehicle you were buying? It's not up to credit acceptance to pick the vehicle for you...that is totally up to you! All they did was pay for it...so, when you buy something and borrow money from someone to buy it, you have to pay them back, whether you have the item still or not. It's your fault you bought a piece of crap, not credit acceptance's. You buy as is when you buy used.

u know i had the same problem with them, i bought my car in oct 07, and the bad thing was my husband was deployed i needed a car and went a picked it up that night from the dealership, well to my surprise that morning i got up to go to work got on the interstate and this car was bounceing everywhere... got to work and one of the guys came out and looked, said my tires were down to the wires, so i called the dealership they told me i bought it AS IS... so i called CA they pretty much told me the same thing, so not only that but my tail light was busted out so that cost me a ticket, and 165.00 later and a lil over 300.00 for new tires, we were transfered to GA and the car was getting worse, so now with the car not turned on at all you step on the brake and it makes this horriable sound... so my folks told me to turn it back over to them and they bought me a better truck... but now CA is trying to get the rest of the bal from me and now i have to pay to have a medatoir talk between me and there attorney... i am planning on filing a lawsuit agianst them cause i turned the car back ove in jan of 09 and the are saying that i did it in april.. i wanted that piece of crap ASAP

Credit Acceptance auto loan

had nothing but problems with this company since day 1, it is a long story so wil try and summarize, 1st is they changed the due date without telling me, i signed for the 15th of the month, they changed it to the 30th, also never got warranty info or any statements for the 1st year or so, i changed the payment method to in person, they took up to a month to credit the account so by the time the statement was done which by the way is the very next day after the due date which is ridiculous it woud show i was behind when i was not, some months i never even got a statement and had to keep phoning and demanding a statement be sent. They also forgot to record payments on 2 seperate occasions so every time i phone to see why it is showing i am behind they say everything is fine and the payment was not recorded yet, so i kept making payments up to 1 month before the due date they kept recording it a month behind so they were not applying the payments to the correct month. If the employees themselves cannot figure out the statements how the hell is the customer suppose to know, as it went on i kept getting attitude every time i phoned or talked to a person and was lied to about a phone number. i sent numerous letters trying to resolve the issue and saying i am withholding payments till i get a updated statement showing the correct amount owing, This July they took the vehicle even thou July was not due for another 2 weeks and in writing by them in June that i was caught up, But their story changed and said 2 months was owing which it was not, I went in and a employee got angry and blew up in my face and they called the police saying i was the one that was outta control.

So i said fine keep the car if you are not going to apply the payments right, My Father was there and he asked is that it? anything else that has to be done, the manager said no but in Oct. they send me a invoice still saying i was 3 months behind and for the loss they suffered which just found out is nothing as they are selling the car for more then what was left owing on the lease, They are now freaking out as i went to the bbb and filing a complaint with the government and said they will be sueing me which their is not a chance in hell of them getting another dime from me and have told them action has already been started for my losses, now this last week they keep harassing me changing their story and calling me a liar and they have me recorded on tape saying i wanted the due date changed to the end of the month which i think will not be admissable in court if it gets that far after the government are done with them.

anyone else have issues with this company, please respond as it will help my case, thanks

YES! It looks like they shut down not long after I took them to court. Just found out last weekend when I went to search them and they closed their doors. I would like to think my complaints and actions helped in getting rid of them and good riddance. Guess they are not so smitten with themselves now. :)

@ daddy-O and payyourbills1, please learn how to read, I was making payments and even paid early and ahead, they kept reporting that payments were made a month to 2 months after they were actually made!, as for" never hear a peep from them" that was the problem, no statements at all and they did not even tell me they took over my loan! so daddy-o you just think it's all great but you got problems coming no doubt. Now you guys might have something on the other's here but if there are similar complaints there is a problem.

Cannot get into too many specifics as we are still in negotiations of settlement, but I was shocked that there representative showed up since i did not get a defence from them, they tried to say they did a defence and tried to deliver it to me which is a lie cause I was at home at all the times they said they tried.

The judge kinda laughed at them as they were trying to claim a loss saying they sold the vehicle for the bare minimum.

So far what was talked about is they will drop more then half of what they were claiming against me, reimbursement of my overpayment that I made(they offered to take 3 more payments off then this which shocked me) erase the car loan off my credit reports(which makes me happy and also this way I get money back in savings cause now my credit is better then when I signed this transaction)and pretend this transaction never happened, they offered this before I could demand it which was another surprise.

Also I will have most of expenses covered when I go get a new vehicle(from a different company of course)when I am ready to do so, plus they offered further reimbursement for the minor costs I was seeking.

On the flip side i did not get all what I wanted as the judge would not allow it and after all the deductions above whatever is left of the balance owing I still have to pay which I am not happy about cause there is no proof that there is any money owing from there side, but I can include this amount in my new car loan with another company so they get paid right away and I don't have to deal with them anymore or they said they will work out a payment plan with me which i am not going through that hell again unless i have too for a few months until i can get a new car deal set up with another company.

What i got from there rep talk is they wanted to settle, we were one of the last ones to be heard so it was a long day and both of us were tired and I was just happy to talk a settlement and get it over with.

Again the above has to be finalized, I have 2 other finance company's already that said it would not be a problem to include whatever amount in a agreement so maybe not 100% ideal but I just don't want anything to do with this company again and move on with life.

I hope they learned that they have to do better business practices and not do the same mistakes that they did in this case(which I doubt, they will just keep doing whatever)but hopefully I helped others in some way.

Tomorrow is the day, still can't figure out why they did not file a defence, but oh well, hopefully they either forgot or they are going to agree to settle which is the only reason they are allowed to show up as they filed there intent to defend late and did not file any defence at all.

Otherwise I will be awarded default judgement for all costs.

Just looking to get this over with.

Sorry to hear, but yes I had employees rude to me on a few occasions as well, and as I said I could not reach any management either.

SO for a update, the deadline has passed to file anything with the court as of Tuesday, I have not received any defence from them so it pretty much seals the deal for me and I will be awarded judgement in my favor.

I gave them 1 more chance to settle it, all I could do is send a letter to there fake lawyer address, once again they have not responded like always, so I can show the judge the numerous times I tried to settle this matter.

Again they filed there intent to defend late but the court allowed them to file anyway after i notified they were late, so it's suppose to be me and the judge only, so hopefully it will not be long as I have everything laid out and ready, 2 envelopes full of evidence. August 24th is the court date and i am looking forward to getting this over with.

As for the post above me, have you thought about going to another company to take over the lease? I offered to do that but auto credit would not respond, so I should have just went ahead anyway, so I would look into that.

So I just happened to try and look up their representatives info that was on the defence, IT'S FOR A FREAKING PRODUCE STORE! lol, this is getting better and better, Number not even for a lawyer and the address shows no lawyer's office even at that address!.

So I put that in my reply to the statement of defence or whatever you want to call what they filed and going to file that Monday, which I am not looking forward to going back to the office for small claims, they are all idiots in there.

So I have filed a claim against them, they could not even take the documents right when I served them, lol pathetic.

They just filed what they call a defence late which the court was notified before that they were late but they were still allowed to file, they did not file anything except a piece of paper claiming the correct amount owing and that the car was sold, but further down they say there is still money owing to them, and they are trying to show a agreement between us even though I did not have a agreement with them and again that is proven in my claim LOL.

They did not file anything in regards to my claims made, surely they know they are screwed with all the evidence I filed and yet they are still trying to defraud even though there defence will be thrown out for numerous reasons.

I am taking a copy of all your stories above to the judge, if anyone else has a issue with these people please post, the court date is not till near the end of August unless they come back to reality and want to settle before hand which I will only take cash for 100 percent of my costs and damages I listed.

sorry to hear thaty angel, hell they never reported anything on my credit report with respect to the payments they got on time or early, they show 2 different amounts on both credit bearue;s, lol yup that will be shown to the judge in court, mind you I showed that to the business bearu and never got a answer as to why.

I am just waiting for 1 more piece of evidence and I am filing my claim with the courts the next few weeks

I just received notice today that the business bearu i lodged the complaint with are now changing their toon and can't or won't do anything after being clearly shown laws were broken, therefore I have no choice but to take them to court which i already was working on cause i had a feeling the agency was not going to do anything, auto credit acceptance replied they acted appropriate, LOL now that's funny.

They also keep changing their story which is great cause i can show this in court, It won't take 15 minutes cause of all the evidence i have which includes your stories cause they told me the day that they took the car that i was the only one who had issues with them, which from here we all can see that is false. They changed their story again and said i drove the car without insurance which is false and am getting letter from insurance company which a family member works at so that can be proven a lie, lol.

So I am not totally stressed out having to go to court, it is the last thing i wanted to happen but they are not complying so i have no choice but i have lots of evidence and i know i am right.

I would advise everyone to keep EVERYTHING in writing from dates and times of every conversation( i wish i had a tape recorder during this event as that would have sealed the deal, but they state they have conversations on tape so works for me), receipts, contract or lease, whatever has to do with the company keep detailed records.

I purchased to buy. A 2001 BMW, which was dwn payment of 4, 000, cash and insurance. Drove the car for 3 months, with oil change of mileages @ 89, 000. 3 days after 3 months driven, radiator problems effect started. Paid cash for towing, diganosis service. Credit Acceptance, customers service, quote i am still to make payment of 300.00 monthly fee. I was without transportation for 4 months. After repair and waiting on warranty to pay for repairs. When credit acceptance approval any vechiles to customers. They should have vechile pass inspect for registration. I lost my car, and its on my credit record to keep me to purchase a Merdeces Benz. 12 tribes of juda

ihave the same problem and when i called them they changed story and it went from 4 payments to 2 payments and it on my credit report and its hurting my credit cant do nothing with it on there and they wont remove it so i am just stuck.

my credit report says 1300 is in collections and i got a bill for 1726.88, i checked my credit report yesterday and the update on the report was 5 days after the date that was on the letter i got, the orignal amount is 15, 236 i to never recived any notice or non payments or letters within the last three months and this ### pops up cause the low life ### primary defaulted well running from the law too i work part time and go to school full time have my own bills that are never late n an extra 377 a month ill wont be able to pay, how likley is it for them to sue

These ppl suck they harrassed me so much I changed my number 3 times. I had a warranty that wasnt honored when I took my car to get fixed so I cancled the warranty they sent the money to C/A and I was told that the 2750.00 went towards the principal of the car lol some bull. When I got down to my last 2500 of payments I was laid off but I could still make payments they told me they couldnt accept another payment because I wasnt working @the same job in which they should have sent my title because they took 2750.00 that didnt belong to them and I dont see where it went towards any principal and why.

Hmmm.. I think they have been fantastic! Gave me a loan when no one else would even talk to me! Just make the payaments and you won't hear a peep from them!

I am disputing a car that was repossed and then resold over 14 years ago .I feel that I have been harrassed long enough and it should have been written off years ago because it has been over ten years. I agree with everyone about C A, they are a predatory lending institution company. My younger brother had problems with this company.
On another subject, I noticed that several posts said that they complained to the better business bureau and that nothing has been resolved and that is because it never will be.
You see folks the Better Business Bureau is not a government run agency, it never has been and never will be .
The BBB is a business ( FOR PROFIT) anytime you see another business with BBB logo in there advertising ads or in a store window, they pay for that priviledge $400. each year and if they have a web site that they want to put the BBB logo on it costs an additional $700 each year. The BBB is not government regulated, but they are rich and powerful from all the membership dues they collect. The BBB only cares about its paying members not you the consumer .
If you are having issues with creditors of anykind contact the Federal Trade Comission they are government run and they will get results Quickly.

I am so sick of credit acceptance harrasing me with phone calls every ten minutes and up to 9:00 at night. I make my payment every month of 288.00 and today they charged me 11.00 because they said my payment has always been 299.00 bull. Second it has been two years and I have only gotten 2 statments they are claiming that it keeps getting returned from my address. That is such bull that they are the only ones who have that issue with me, I have been at this address for 4 years. They also claim that my payment is due on the 10th and I mail it out one week prior, they claim it takes two weeks for them to get my payment. That is bull we send mail to Micagan and it takes three days.

Credit Acceptance Overcharged

When I first purchased the Ford Ranger, I was thrilled until I got it home and discovered the transmission was leaking. I called Detroit II Auto Sales in Garden City about the problem, and told me to call the credit company-Credit Acceptance Corporation. I did make the call, about twenty times and they finally said take it to a transmission repair, give them the phone number, and have them bill them. Well I must have call about 823 shops, and they all said the same thing-no way, they don't pay!

I finally had to take it a year later to a trans shop, after several cases of trans fluid to have it repaired by a very excellent repair shop in Dearborn, Michigan-Royal Transmission on Shaefer Street. I was handled with great service, and there expertise was fantastic.

The trans owner Issa, told me the trans was beyond repair, and gave me a fresh rebuild for $ 1, 300.00. I presented the bill to the credit company, and told me to go away, for they did not send me there. I told them the place's they sent me to was not going to touch the truck, without the money, and no credit from the credit company.

I have paid off the truck since, but they charged me double of the sale price, and then would not give me the title, unless i paid it off. Well it was paid off, and because they do not process payment for three days, after they receive them. I had to send a fifteen dollar money order for half of the late fees, and I would get the title by mail soon. Well I did, about two months later, and also was told If I needed them again, I could get another loan, and because my last payment was late in there eyes, they was filing a bad credit report on me.

This really set me back to step one again, and today I cannot get credit with anybody, except the harassing credit company-Credit Acceptance Corporation, and that is never going to happen again! And do not go to Detroit II Auto Sales, even if you cannot get one any where else, or you shall fall prey. For I should have listened to my gut, for once they washed it, I could see it needed tires, and a whole lot of work. And when you pick out a vehicle, they tell you the credit company needs more down payment.

Once you sign your deal and warranty, and your life away to a life of misery of constant rude phone calls, if your one week before your payment. I remember telling the agent at the auto sales, i wanted $ 245.00 month payments, and left. When the truck's payment book showed, it had $ 324.56, boy was it real tight for three and half months.

hi, my name is jules cleckley. i bought a used Isuzu Ascender '2006 at a Pohanka Car Dealership in September of 2009. the Pohanka Dealership is located on (US Route 214), in Marlow Hieghts, Maryland 20748. my complaint is the amount of the financing w/Credit Acceptance Corporation. my credit isn't to be desired but the rate of finance is about half the vehicle sticker/label price of which is 14, 977.00. during this sale i also bought a service contract w/Wynn's Plus - Contract # : CAP [protected] -, Contract price $380.00 which is additional to the vehicle price. the vehicle is accepted at most vehicle repair shops/repair although parts may need be ordered. my downpayment of $5000.00 is added too the vehicle sticker price including the 23.99% finance rate/charge of that sticker price. more easier to say 14, 977.00 (x) a 23.99% financing/(credit rating) brings the vehicle sale price too 21, 708.57 on top of that my down-payment of $5000.00 is added to this sum, TOTAL SALE PRICE $26, 708.57. i decided to make a three year car-note payment, so the payment each month should be 679.57 plus/minus. NOW after the extensive financing charges plus tags to title totalings, a $5000.000 down-payment is subtracted instead it added. after having said/typed this i'll also type the actual monthly payment i am paying which is $556.63. THIS IS'NT BUSSINESS. i will contact THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU OF WASHINGTON, THE DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA if your problems are'nt addressed. Credit Acceptance harrassment calls

I got a loan a while back from credit acceptance if your 1 day late they will call your job as they have mine several times a day, it is a business and ive asked several times dont call my job at which when you ask them to not call your work they shouldent.

After hour calls are made and on weekends as well even on a sunday. Each caller is very hatefula and nasty to talk to. Ive had calls up to 10;00 pm.

Little did i no when you do on line banking it takes several days for the payment to go through at the time i didnt know that.

If calls are made to harrass me at work after i so advised them i cannot get calls at work a man talks to a co-worker, stop this because it vilotaes the law on telling a co-worker my business.

They told me when I purchased the car the warranty supposed to cover everything, I had to spend $498 to get my car fix. Water pump, everything dealing with the cooling system.

Every single representative I have talked to has been rudely ignoring my questions about my account. I am scared I will lose my car because they can't give me a straight answer like "Is this the amount I was supposed to pay for an overdue bill?" All I got was the lady going back and forth between two numbers instead of telling me yes or no.

Purchase 2005 Volvo late to find out car had been in accident and over 5000.00 in repairs done at volvo dealer in Orland park IL
Futuremore credit acceptance continue to sending letters states 60% off over 12000.00
Still never revived update on credit and claims they sold car for 2.500.00

credit acceptances unfair collection practices should be reviewed by an attorney and submitted as a class action suit. I to have been through the same degrading, harassing practices as you.And to you righteous ones who say shut and pay your bills or let them take your vehicle YOU TO SHALL FALL AND YOU WILL MET THE WRAITH OF CREDIT ACCEPTANCE!

I had the same problem with them and I was with them for almost three yrs! I finally paid my car off and they were suposed to send me my title in 30 days! 30 days came and went so I called to find out what the hold up was a woman said they never sent it and is gonna put another request in for my title and told me to wait 30 more days! Well another 30 days has passed and I still don't have my title so I called again an another woman said they have never received the title from the dealership so I should receive an lein rleases in the mail and which I never did so they r sending one so they say and then I could go to motor vehicle to get a duplicate copy of the title. I said well that cost for me to do that and u ppl told me that when the car is paid off you would mail me my title! Needless to say I will never deal with credit acceptance again!

We have had the same exact issue with them! They call CONSTANTLY if you are one day late! A couple months after we got the car we were a couple days past the initial due date and they came to our house and tried to tow it less than an hour after we had called and paid our monthly due! What is the point of the second notice of "if late you have to pay x amount" if they dont even let you pay a couple days past the initial pay date!

Also one time they called and I told the lady i was planning on paying as soon as i returned home and she started on about "You know the car is equipt with low-jack right, the car can be shut down at any time" Excuse me b**** im pretty sure i just told you i was going to pay my bill today!

I have had "customer service" people actually yell at me when I tried to explain why my payment was goign to be late. They are the most rude people I have ever had the joy to deal with. I would rather walk than finance through them again!
