I am writing this as a customer of cozy cats, read this before buying a kitten from this breeder. Trust me it's worth the read.

I bought my Scottish fold in late August. I've been looking for a Scottish fold for a while and this was the closet breeder near me and I saw how many people bought from this breeder. I messaged this breeder saying I was interested and she told me she had a female kitten and she sent me pictures and I fell in love. I received this kitten the following day and the breeder was extremely nice when I met her. When I went home I had my kitten in my room. She started sneezing from the beginning and it wasn't just once or twice, it was excessive sneezing, she had a lot of mucus also. I texted the breeder telling her about it and she said it would go away in an hour, I'm no veterinarian but I know no sneeze goes away in an hour😒
I brought her to the veterinarian the next day, actually 8:30am to be exact, because i was extremely worried. The vet told me that my baby kitten had an upper respiratory infection and she would need samples to see if she had any other infections. After the vet I went home to feed my kitten and I waited for her to go to the bathroom, I collected her poo samples and dropped them off at the vet. 2 days later I got a phone call from the vet saying my kitten has Giardia. If you don't know what Giardia is it's basically a parasite spread through cats, they can get it through drinking water and food, and also feces.
I informed the breeder about this and she seemed concerned but she gave me some excuse, this is exactly what she said..
"The thing is it's my friends litter, I will call her now and make her pay the money. This baby was not
From my litter I was helping my friend to sell the baby because she used my male stud for services so she asked to sell it on my page. Once I will speak to her I'll get back to you promptly - I promise"
It's really funny how it's not HER kitten it's her "friends" kitten
Weeks went by and I didn't hear back from her, she told me that her and her friend got into a big argument and her "friend" refuses to pay the $670 that this kitten has cost me for her medical costs. I informed her about the lemon law and she just kept putting it off, I sent her the 'unfit for purchase ' form that my vet told me to mail to her because she should be paying for this and she still wouldn't respond. After weeks of waiting I messaged her and she said that her friend wouldn't pay the $670. She was offering to give me $150. And she also said that her "friend" would take the kitten back and give me back the money. That was an automatic no because i already created a bond with this cat spent so much money on her and my little siblings loved her.
You think this is the worst it can get? Wait there's more.
She made me send her proof of all the treatments she received which I had. I sent it to her email and waited for a response. A week later she said that she wouldn't pay the $670 because the vaccines have already been given to my cat. I addressed my vet and she said my kitten would have been too young to receive them. I told this breeder that I would get a lawyer involved because i just what her to pay what she needs to pay. It is now November 10th and I never received anything from her. My kitten still has Giardia and since she cleans her self it has given her a lip infection also.

I purchased my furbaby from Hasiya in October 2016. We live in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. When we received him he had runny eyes and nose and was sneezing. We took him to the vet the very next day and he was diagnosed with a URI. I told Hasiya of his symptoms when we got him and she denied he had any of them when she had him. So he mysteriously got a full blown URI in less than 12 hours. We ended up paying for the vet costs as Hasiya was in full denial. Fast forward now to March of 2017 and our furbabies breathing has progressively been getting more and more wheezy, he snores loudly, makes gagging noises and coughs. He has had a loss of appetite and is not as active. We took him to the vet and he has a congenital tooth defect in his mouth causing his upper canine to dig into his gum causing inflammation and infection. He also has a suspected nasopharyngeal polyp and is now being sent to a specialist at the top animal hospital in our city. He will have to undergo being put under for surgery for a tooth extraction and polyp removal which will leave him with horner's syndrome for several weeks, with the risk of it being permanent.
When we got our kitty, he was very small, he started losing his baby teeth well past the time a kitten should be losing it's teeth, according to the documented age she gave us when we received him. The vet estimates that he is actually 4-6 weeks younger than the age that Hasiya gave us.
She gave us a medical document that is entirely in Russian, I can't translate any of it and am not entirely sure that it is real. I am worried it is all forged documents in order for him to be flown from Russia to the USA and then to Canada. I'm worried that he is not vaccinated as she claims and when the vet tried to scan for a microchip one could not be found.
We are faced with a very large vet bill and with the Canadian to US exchange I have paid Hasiya over $2000 CAN for a sick cat. I love my cat to bits and give him the best in care and food. All I can ask is for Hasiya to refund me the cost I am putting in to ensure that my cat lives to his 1st birthday, whenever that date is.

Where can I start? Well first, do not purchase a kitten from this breeder even though they are as cute as can be. This breeder lies period . It is not that the kitten that we received wasn't
absolutely adorable. It's that she sold me a kitten that got very ill two days after receiving him. My kitty was so ill. He was throwing up and so larthatic that I rushed him to the vet after two days. He lost so much weight that im sorry to say he was like a tiny little skeleton . After a complete exam, blood work and X-rays it was determined that he was suffering from a possible bacterial infection? Who knows ? The most shocking revelation was that when the vet scanned his microchip she discovered that his paperwork did not match the microchip Id number that was on his vet papers that were sent with him. The paperwork stated that my kitten was born in August of 2016 and he at that time would have been approximately 5 months old. My vet said this kitten is not 5 months old. He is more line 3 months old! So, after paying almost 300.00 I then proceeded to contact this breeder and disclose the vets report and inquire about the discrepancy regarding her vets paperwork that was sent and the facts discovered by my appointment with my kitten to the vet. Her explanation was " gee it seems that I sent you the paperwork from another kitten. Ok? Where is the vets record for my kitten. Gee I sent you the paperwork for his sibling and that buyer has your paperwork and will send it ASAP. Then she said I'll forward it to you. Ok. Two months and numerous follow ups ...we still do not have the correct paper work. Excuses after excuses. Three family members have passed on and she has been in Russia for the last two months. No access to Internet and yet she continued to post new listings on her Facebook account. Promises of reimbursement for the vet bill but she doesn't have access to her pay pal account. That was probably the most laughable. You can access your pay pal account anywhere in the world ... Including Russia . Bottom line and words to the wise this person is a good deceiver . I won't use the word scam artist. But when things go wrong for you she does seem to scam that person in that moment. Buyers beware !

I was fortunate that I determined this to be a scam before I purchased from Cozy Cats NY. By searching the Internet, I saw the exact same kitten pictures on multiple Websites. That lead me to believe that she was, in fact, a broker rather than a breeder. Also, I asked her to send me a current video of the kitten that we were interested in purchasing and, although similar, it was not the same kitten when you looked on the shades of the colors and the markings. After reading the above comments, I hope that everyone avoids anything to do with Cozy Cats, NY.

Hello, I have had a similar horrible experience with Cozy Cats NY

*please read before purchasing a cat from cozy cats ny*

I received my kitten on jan 20, 2017

Hasiya kerim / hasiya kerimova / hasiya badalov (Breeder)

• imports cats from russia / ukraine (I found her photographer who confirmed he lives in kiev, ukraine and has not traveled to the us)

• sent me a cat who was too young (6 weeks old) *medical record from my veterinarian confirming age attached*

• sent me an underage cat on an airplane (They must be 8 weeks old)

• used fake documentation from russia to fool the airlines into thinking the cat was 4 months old and full vaccinated *documents attached*

• sent me a kitten who is sick (Upper respiratory infection)

• sent me fake pictures and videos of my kitten (She has now taken down the post with the kitten she told me she sold but I took screenshots of everything *picture comparison attached (Her picture on the left, the kitten I received on the right)

•told me that the cat was fully vaccinated but sent me fake paperwork (On a canine form) *picture attached*

•refused to provide me with her veterinarians information to verify said vaccinations (Because she clearly did not go to a vet due to fake documentation)

Hasiya is a liar, scammer, and is most likely running a kitten mill in russia or ukraine.

Do not purchase a kitten from her and do your research on breeders! Ask questions and if they avoid them, cannot answer, or make excuse after excuse, do not risk it. She does not care for these animals, she only cares for the money and will do anything to keep producing kittens no matter the health risk of the kittens.

If you too have had a horrible and illegal experience with hasiya & cozy cats ny, please reach out to me to add to the complaint so she stops with her illegal and inhumane business.

I hope you get your money back. This lady should also be sued for lying to you and wasting your time. This is animal abuse. She is trying to make money off innocent kittens she doesn't care about at all.
