Microsoft - billing me for a product I returned

I ordered a Microsoft XBox 360 Kinect Sensor which

cost
$159.99 plus $13.99, plus 24.90% interest, shipped

in Dec 2012. After I placed the order I called

Finger Hut to let them know that I was moving to

Marysville, CA California from Carson City, NV and

to ship my order to my new address. My order went

to my old Carson City address instead of my new

address.

I called Finger Hut again to find out why my order

was taking so long to reach me. I was told it was

because my order was sent back to Finger Hut and

they would reship my order to my new address.

When my Xbox 360 Kinect Sensor arrived I installed

it on my TV. After the installation I realized that

the product didn't have the features I was looking

for. I called Finger Hut to let them know I was

returning the Xbox Sensor and was told by customer

service that my account would be credited once they

received the Xbox Sensor and because they sent the

Xbox Sensor to the wrong address that they would

not charge me for shipping, and they would send me

a return shipping label to send the Xbox Sensor

back.

After two weeks I still hadn't received the

shipping label so I called Finger Hut again. This

time the customer service person I spoke with told

me that I had to pay for the shipping and that the

other customer service person I spoke with was in

error. So I shipped the Xbox 360 Sensor back at my

cost.

The reason for my complaint, I received a bill from

FingerHut. I called FingerHut to ask why was I

being billed and was told that I had to pay for the

shipping. I told the customer service person that I

had paid for the shipping and was told that I would

not be charged for the prior shipping because the

Xbox went to the wrong address. I was told by the

customer service rep that wasn't the case and I

would have to pay for the shipping. I asked to

speak to a manager and was told that they were a

manager. I explained that I didn't think I should

be charged for the Xbox shipping because it wasn't

my fault that they sent it to the wrong address.

The customer service person insisted that I pay the

shipping fee and a late charge. I told them that it

was right to charge me for a product that I paid to

send back and that we should call it even and I

would place another order. The customer service rep

became rude and told me to pay it and hung up on

me.

Now I have received another bill from FingerHut for

$108.35 for a product I don't even have. Plus they

dinged my credit.

I feel like FingerHut is trying to rip me off.

I would appreciate if you can help me resolve this

this issue.

Thanks

If you allowed your credit card to be used to create his xbox live account you have entered into a billing agreement. This is called pre-authorization to charge for whatever your grandson purchases. It is in their user agreement. If you don't want further billing, order a new card and any future attempted purchases will not go through. However, your grandson will lose his xbox live account if you file a chargeback.

I think your first course of action should be to talk to your grandson about not utilzing the card without consulting you first. Let him know that you are cancelling the card as well. If he claims he doesn't know what you're talking about he is blowing smoke directly up your ### :)
