U.S. Security Associates Won't Pay For Time Worked

I highly recommend avoiding anything to do with U.S. Security Associates at all costs to anyone. I am still working to get paid from over 2 months ago. I worked 70 hours per week, there was nothing but drama from the supervisors and staff. Very immature all together. All legal paperwork, employee files, etc was stored on a public drive and in a desk without a lock; easily available to anyone and everyone to do as they please with anyone's personal info. Worst place I've ever worked and zero respect or gratitude shown. The company has already been sued for millions in 2015. Stay far away from @USAOfficer

U.S. Security Associates NON PAYMENT OF EARNED WAGES

I have not been paid for the 9.5 hours I worked at Sam’s Club in La Marque Texas, back in April 2013. I have spoken with several people with this company and they still haven"t paid me. i have contacted supervisors and HR reps to get this resolved and to date still no action has taken. I feel I have been very patient, but enough is enough.
I plan to contact the local newspapers also warn other officer’s of your company not paying wages to employees.

U.S. Security Associates accusied of disobeying orders

This company is accusing me of Leaving my post with their client even thou they asked me in person before they fired me for this if I had ever left my post. Told them in person that I never left my post even when i had injury that felt like it could of been fatal that put my health at risk I still never left to get medical attention except when the next security officer guard came in and let me leave 5 to 10 min early to go to Emergency Room to get medical attention. Also accused me of not doing my job cause I had told them repeatedly that I was having health issues with back pain spasms and sever leg & knee pain that would hinder me from walking alot without the need for a cane and wasnt able to do every patrol because of it.

U.S. Security Associates poor treatment

I worked for US Security associates. I worked in a southern NJ branch, where the manager was never there because he ran several offices. The Secretary delegated everything and they messed up my schedule quite often. The only thing nice I can say is the office is clean and they're not bigots! From day one it was one lie after another. My pay rate was changed thus botching my checks, I was told i'm making X but never got paid that across the board being at the same site most of my tenure. I needed a week off and was told sure then a couple weeks later I was let go. Do to my record of complaints which I never heard about till I was fired. No, write ups I was ever told about! The day I was fired, I learned I was a diabetic not finest my hour. Not they're fault but THAT really SUCKED. If I could sue I would...or at least write a book about all the dis-function, politics and lies I dealt with in my tenure there!

I understand your situation To little to late. Don't get yourself fired, just stack your evidence until you can find another job or you decide to quit. Fear of being fired is the reason they have power...firing someone for telling the truth, if you have a positive work record is just political they must have not liked those that got axed . I learned after my second week with this company that gossip and kissing butt is the only way you keep a job there long term!

I work for US Security and have seen a lot of crap go on there in my 26 months on the job.
I have been cussed out in front of my peers (TWICE) and have seen others receive the same treatment. The manual CLEARLY spells out that that type of behavior is not acceptable and that the FIRST offence is immediate termination. However, the perpetrators not only remain on site, they have also been promoted to lead officers.
I have worked on the last three Thanksgiving Day shifts (I began with the company in October of 2009) and it took me until Christmas Eve of '09 to get my Thanksgiving Day overtime money, as they paid me straight time for it. I don't mind working on Thanksgiving, because I take vacation for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, but to have to wait a month for my overtime money is just wrong.
I was recently called a liar by our Regional Manager (the 3rd one in 2 years) because I was late for work after being clipped by a car on the interstate, and didn't get a police report. A police report is only given for damage of $750 or more, and mine was just enough of a paint rub to warrant only a $10 bottle of touch up paint. But I had to get off of the interstate, then find a safe place to be able to get out of my truck to inspect the damage, and then proceed to work. I was 2 minutes late and got written up for it.
Currently, I am awaiting my vacation check for putting in my 2080 hours in a year, and haven't received it yet. Our book says that you receive it 30 days AFTER hitting that mark and I hit it on November the 14th. I have tried to contact them today only to get voice mails. That is the way of this company. They DON'T want to talk to you, so they screen their calls and hope you'll go away.
The only reason that I am still with this company is that there really isn't many jobs out there (thanks to our wonderful government), I am in school, and I have bills to pay. Until I find something better, I am stuck in this crappy place.
If anybody is looking for a job, and is in desperate need of one, DO NOT go work for US Security.

U.S. Security Associates Lawsuit of discrimination

I had been employed with us security associates for alittle more then a year when while working for Factory 2-u clients, I was "laid off" for the simple fact that "client" was requesting male guard to pose more of a threat to the daily and hourly thieves. When I first started working with the company they never even completed a detailed background and hired me right away because they were in demand of employee placement. At the time I thought "cool" but now I know why. I was placed in a position where I was relieving an employee who failed to have respect for her fellow coworkers and basically got away with murder leaving post 30 minutes early and leaving the key to security vehicle in the vehical for me to find when I arrived on post. Her reasoning was that of she had to catch the bus, and if I couldn't come in early for her everyday then that was her only option. All the while the field supervisor and other upper management officials allowed this behavior to continue till it got so bad that the female threatened to physically violate me in a voicemail. Then and only then was this person "fired".
Shortly after that there was a "random background" performed. Supposedly on all employees, and the points came up on my driving record so I was pulled from that post after 8 months and sent to Delano Sears warehouse to set as a front desk receptionist. I would meet and greet all the employees and sign in all visitors. The job was cake, but the supervisor on the post didn't care for my obvious race. When the graveyard shifts were set up as random between the three shifts to make it fair ... I got stuck with all graveyard shifts then, after I was promised mornings ... I was sent to graveyards because no one else could do it. Mind you I was the only one driving up from Bakersfield. Then after 3 months I was in the midst of training two individuals... Which this made me think I was doing good, if the supervisor trusted me enough to train, but low and behold behind my back I was only training these individuals to take over my position. Therefore I was "phased out" of my own job! This was now the second time in the first year that I was being "laid off" from the same employer..
I was then found a setting post in back of a retailer watching stock that was left in an outside alley way. I was back on graveyard. This lasted for another 3-4 months. No complaints. When that job post ended or was better said "cut", I was sent to Factory 2-u in the ghetto. Now I am a white female 29 in age 170 pounds. I was unarmed and there to observe and report. I read the handbook and the rules of factory 2-u clients were conflicting. The client wanted me to follow suspects and chase them out of the store all the while clients lp management wanted me to check reciepts and staystanding up front of the store at all times. At this time there was a new field supervisor-- who cared less say or do ###! When the client only paid for one guard supervisor left one with me for about three weeks of payed train. When I didn't need any training. Plus this individual would write in hours he wasn't even working and get paid for over time he didn't even work. He was robbing the company blind but hats what the company deserved for not checking. Ha ha ha.
About 4 mos into this post, mind you client managmebt and guards are to work together and notify one another of suspicious acts within or around the areas. One Friday night a black male came Into the store and stuffed a bag with shoes, he left the shoes in the back for another male to pick up..Factory 2-u Managment was aware of this and did not fill me in. The black male grabbed the bag and walked out. When I asked the male "are you planing to pay for your purchase!?" he replied back "are you Trippin ###!" then he took off running. The client wanted me to chase after him. I just started laughing. And said that is against post order commands with us security. For insurance pourposes I am not to chase follow or invade another individules privacy due to being negligently sued. Long story short, for the fourth time I was being laid off... This time to apparently not upholding the needs of the client. Which this excuse later turned into being laid off due to clients request of removal and request for a male guard. Which is sexually Discriminating, and I soon after filed a complaint with fair employment and was rewarded for half of what I deserved out of court! DO NOT WORK FOR THIS COMPANY!

U.S. Security Associates Unfair Treatment of Employees

Husband use to be a Patrol Supervisor for over 3 years and has never had a raise - they added more responsibilities on him but never any money. Still making $10.00 hr. Also, when he had to go p/u company vehicle 1/2 hr away then drive to the first site. He was never compensated for that time. He also was never compensated for driving the company vehicle from site to site. Only on the arrival time. That is not legal. They also made him cover different sites at various pay rates even though he was up since 8 in the morning and working all day long. They even made him work the overnight shift because he couldn't find anyone to fill in. A person cannot get by on just 3 hours of sleep a night and function normally, especially when the work is driving all the time. My husband had to put up with verbal and emotional abuse from the branch manager all the time, especially when the branch manager couldn't get his way. The benefits actually sucks - they don't pay for anything. They wouldn't even cover an MRI. All we can say is stay away from this company If you file for unemployment or worker's comp "they will fight you all the way" as the regional manager has said.

I was forced to resign due to treatment. When I when to management about the conditions and treament, they stated I was making excuses. Once my supervisor found out I called, he threaten to fire me. I would still call and management would not return my calls. I cal the ethics hotline which solved nothing. The employer never responded to the case. Now I am left, with out the employment.

I work at a Amazon facility and they have been lying to us since January of 2017 about pay raise, us not getting paid correctly, branch not answering calls and WAY more! and on top of all that they just gave us a raise a week ago and have already taken it back for no reason, stating budget cuts. Lance brewer district manager runs a bery poor program at the company. He has people training that dont want that job and barely skim over policy and procedures. When there is a large turn over it cant always be the new employee. It has to be poor management and poor training. I saw people with years of experience and that were let go before probation was done and no problems were brought to the employees attention either. Just good bye. EXTREMELY NON PROFESSIONAL

I agree. had problems with a supervisor named Butler in the Kraft and Con-Way trucking, in Winchester, Virginia. when I quit, I was not paid t all. I also think they are stealing from Conway and not really guarding the place and taking the food from the refirgerators of the employees there. But who will listen to me? If I contact Con way or Kraft, they will dismiss me as a disgruntled employee.

i was hired by US Security Associates on Dec. 23 of 2014. While i was having my interview with one of the managers whose name is Andrea, i heard this other US Security manager talking on his cell phone, screaming, and cursing out an employee. This manager whose name i don't really know, was disturbing my whole interview to the point that manager Andrea has to closed her office door. Minutes later after he got done cursing this employee, he abruptly pushed Andrea's office door and threw a pile of paper work over my head that almost heat me ! The point being is that, on Dec. 26 of 2014 i called the office to let them know that i had a car problem. Well, unfortunately the person who answers the phone and i expected to be professional at all times was the same manager that was treating his employee like garbage the day of my interview. Of course, he treated me the same way, like trash. All i wanted to tell him was that i was not going to be able to make it on Monday when he started to go off on me on the phone. After seen and heard this manager talking this way with an employee of his and now to me, there is no doubt that he gets pay for doing this ! Now i have no job because he gave me no choice, but to return my uniforms. Not even relocation to a closer place so, at least i could find my way around or something.

US Security is the worst of the worse. David Floyd is the project manager at the Amazon facility in fernly nevada. A total alcoholic with no morals. The branch manager John Mc Neil is just as bad. The guards at Amazon take all kinds of abuse. Floyd comes to work most of the time hung over and takes it out on the guards. WARNING. Don't work for them out of their sparks nevada office. They are crooks .

I work for this compmany now in delaware and I find that to be true. The company is also racist and don't really care for the employees that work for the company. When you call to speak with somebody in the office they are always in a meeting. Your giving their voicemail or told somebody will call you back and you NEVER recieve a call back. This company is very bad. When you have a complaint your told in their on words to deal with it or we'll find somebody else to do the job then your out of work for a LONG TIME. this company is unfair.

most security companies pay rate is based upon the post. Ive seen it many times that a company will put out "now hiring, paying 12.00hr" adds... but what it does is get you to get hired, they put you at the 12.00 post for a week...then move you to a 10.00 or less post... that 12.00 post is a draw... its only meant to get warm bodies on a post.
Most states have a law that require you to have a minimum of 8 hours between shifts, if that company is not doing that (supervisor or not) then you may need to speak to your states labor board.

U.S. Security Associates Unfair Treatment

I must preface this account with the following details: Unfortunately, due to the economy, I have been an employee for this company for over four years. I do not have any written reports against my name, and I have recently provided my two-week notice of resignation. Although I have been unfairly treated in the past by this employer, which includes upper management, I decided to extend courtesy by providing a two week notice of my resignation. However, this courtesy was failed to be extended back to myself, and I was told to not complete my remaining balance of working days. I was appalled by the audacity of these individuals to choose for me to not complete my final employment dates.
Feel free to research this company; they have numerous complaints against them, sexual harassment lawsuits, and poor employee reviews. I am shocked that more clients do not terminate their contracts with U.S. Security Associates, INC. and switch to a more quality service provider. U.S. Security Associates Inc. hires just about anyone, and I mean ANYONE. The company provides poor benefits, little to no promotional opportunities, no raises, no incentives or positive feedback for its employees to provide quality service.
Furthermore, management lacks professionalism. Numerous employees have been subjected to their valid complaints being ignored, to passive aggressive behavior, to unfair treatment, and to feel as if they need to settle for such injustices! While working for this company over the years, I have witnessed good employees being wrongfully terminated while other employees who happened to be favored received preferred treatment! It became blatantly apparent that in order to "succeed, " one needed to place his morals on the backburner, turn a blind eye to bad behavior, and placate poor management.
When is enough actually ENOUGH? Current and previous employees of this company need to UNITE and have a voice. Voice your dissatisfaction, proclaim NO MORE, and stand firm in your beliefs that every employee is ENTITLED to fair treatment, to have his valid concerns addressed and rectified, and to be respected. Individuals need to be held accountable for bad behavior, and management needs a complete re-structuring from ground up!

U.S. Security Associates WRONGFUL TREATMENT OF EMPLOYEE'S

I HAVE BEEN WORKING FOR U.S. SECURITY FOR ABOUT 3 YEARS NOW AND I CAN HONESTLY SAY I HAVE NEVER SEEN A COMPANY RAN IN SUCH A POOR MANNER IN MY LIFE. I CANNOT BELIEVE WITH ALL THE WRONG THINGS GOING ON IN THIS COMPANY THAT THERE HAS NOT BEEN SOME KIND OF INVESTIGATION PUT IN PLACE. YEAH THERE A BIG COMPANY BUT WHATS RIGHT IS RIGHT AND WHATS WRONG IS WRONG. THEY HAVE SO MANY LAWSUITS AND SO MANY COMPLAINTS AGAINST THEM ITS CRAZY.
WHEN I STARTED WITH COMPANY THERE WAS NO TRAINING IT WAS JUST "YOUR HIRED I NEED YOU TO START TONIGHT!" WHEN I WAS AT MY FIRST SITE I SEEN SOME STUFF THAT I COULD NOT BELIEVE. THE POST ORDERS FOR 1. THE THINGS THE GUARDS WERE TOLD TO DO WERE RIDICULOUS AND I BELIEVE AGAINST THE LAW LIKE WE HAD TO DO PLUMBING, ELECTRICAL, DRYWALLING, PLUNGING TOILETS, CHANGING LIGHT BULBS, CLEAN UP SPIDER WEBS, MOP UP SPILLS AND PUDDLES OF WATER AFTER IT RAINED. ALSO WE WERE NOT ALLOWED IN THE BREAK ROOMS OR LOBBY AREAS WE HAD TO STAY OUT SIDE REGUARDLESS OF THE WEATHER. WE ALSO HAD TO HANG UP FLAGS ON UNSAFE AND UNLEVELED DRIVE WAYS. I HAVE SAW GUARDS FALL ALL THE TIME. THE LIST GOES ON AND ON. I HAVE TRIED TO TALK TO THE SUPERVISORS OF THESE THING BUT I WAS TOLD "IF I WANT TO KEEP MY JOB I SHOULD BE QUIET BECAUSE THERE'S ALWAYS SOMEONE TO REPLACE YOU!". SO I KEPT QUIET IN FEARS OF LOOSING MY JOB.
SO HERE I AM ABOUT 3 YEARS LATER STILL WITH THE COMPANY. AND I KNOW WHAT YOUR THINKING! WHY ARE YOU STILL THERE? WELL WITH THE ECONOMY THE WAY ITS BEEN I REALLY DON'T HAVE A CHOICE INTILL THINGS GET BETTER. BUT DURING THIS TIME I HAVE SEEN THIS COMPANY AND ALL ITS WRONG DOINGS GO FROM BAD TO WORST! I MEAN REALLY BAD. HERE ARE SOME THINGS THAT ARE GOING ON AS WE SPEAK. 1: WE ARE DOWN TO 2 SUPERVISORS TO DO SITE CHECKS FOR ALL OF SAN DIEGO COUNTY AND 1 SUPERVISOR THAT IS A GHOST BECAUSE THEY DON'T HAVE A POSITION FOR HIM SO HE STILL IS A SUPERVISOR AND GETTING PAID SUPERVISOR WAGES BUT IS ON THE DOWNLOW HOW IS THAT LEGAL? THEY ALSO HAVE TO WORK 12-14 HOUR DAYS BUT GET PAID ONLY FOR 8. NOW I KNOW THATS NOT LEGAL BUT THEY GET THREATENED ALL THE TIME IF THEY TRY TO LIST THIER HOURS. 2: OUR NEW OPERATIONS MANAGER (GERRETT BROWN) SHOULD HAVE BEEN FIRE AND ARRESTED ALONG TIME AGO. THIS GUY BEING A SUPERVISOR AT THE TIME WAS CAUGHT ON WAL-MARTS CAMERAS STEALING THE REG TAGS OFF OF A COMPANY VEHICLE AND PUTTING THEM ON HIS PERSONAL VEHICLE. THATS A FEDERAL OFFENSE. BUT INSTEAD HE GETS DEMOTED TO DISPATCH AND THEN A FEW MONTHS LATER PROMOTED TO OPERATIONS MANAGER. WTF! WELL I GUESS BEING BEST FRIENDS WITH OUR LEAD OPP MANAGER (DANNY SOLA) HAD SOMETHING TO DO WITH IT! 3: THE OFFICE IS LIKE FORT KNOX THIS BECAUSE THE OFFICE IS DOING SOME MANY CORRUPT THING THAT THEY DON'T WANT ANYBODY JUST WALKING UP IN THERE. IF THERE IS ANY ISSUES WHICH THERE IS ALOT OF YOU HAVE TO CALL AND MAKE AN APPOINTMENT. AND MOST OF THE TIME YOUR APPOINTMENTS ARE NOT EVEN LOGGED OR CANCELED. IF YOU GO OVER THERE HEADS AND CALL COORPERATE WITH YOUR ISSUES BECAUSE WE CAN'T EVER TALK TO THEM YOU WILL GET SOME KIND OF DISCIPLINARY ACTION AGAINST YOU OR TERMINATED. 4: THE MANAGERS AND SUPERVISORS THREATEN US ALL THE TIME WE ARE CALLED NAMES, OUR PERSONAL BUSINESS IS TOLD TO OTHER GUARDS, AND YES THERE IS ALOT OF SEXUAL HARASSMENT. 5: THERE ARE NEVER ANY KIND OF ANNUAL REVIEWS OF ANY SORT. AND THERE ARE CONTRACTS THAT I HAVE READ MYSELF ABOUT SOME SITES THAT REQUIRE REVIEWS TO DETERMIN A WAGE INCREASE OR NOT AND THEY DON'T EVEN HONOR THEM. LIKE I SAID BEFORE THE LIST OF ISSUES GO ON AND ON.
THE THINGS I HAVE LISTED IN MY COMPLAINT ARE VERY REAL. THERE ARE HUNDREDS OF ISSUES WITH THIS COMPANY. I KNOW SOME ARE YOU NORMAL EVERYDAY EMPLOYEE GRIPE BUT MOST ARE THINGS THAT ARE ILLEGAL IN THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA AND THEY SHOULD BE INVESTIGATED.
ALOT OF PEOPLE LOOK AT SECURITY GUARDS LIKE WE ARE NOTHING AND THINK OUR JOB IS A JOKE. BUT THEY ARE WRONG! WE ARE THE ONES KEEPING YOU SAFE WHILE YOUR AT WORK, AT HOME, AT THE MALL, AT THE GROCERY STORE, AT A BALL GAME, AT A HOTEL OR MOTEL, AT THE CASINO, IN A PARKING LOT, ETC! WE WORK HARD AS SECURITY GUARDS AND ITS SAD WHEN WE GET NO RESPECT FROM PEOPLE BUT ITS EVEN WORST WHEN WE GET MISTREATED BY OUR OWN EMPLOYER.
IF YOU ARE READING THIS AND YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A SECURITY JOB I DO NOT RECOMMEND APPLYING AT U.S. SECURITY ASSOCIATES. THEY ARE CORRUPT, UNORGINIZED, UNPROFESSIONAL, RUDE AND THEY WILL TAKE ADVANTAGE OF YOU.

WOW ! Thanks for all the input about this company, and I have seen some of this stuff in other security companies. But this blatant abuse of employees, I could never work for them ( I'd knock somebody out and say they tripped ) I have all the cards, and have worked security job's & contracts for 18 years off & on. I won't tolerate being mistreated, nor have I ever mistreated anyone working for me. This company sounds like it is owned by the Clinton Foundation.

To All U.S. Security Associates employees. Listen up, first you are in the security industry which is nothing but a "song and dance" business who takes advantage of everyone. Anyone who works for any security company in California, regardless who it is, you will go through the same problems. The way I look at it is one of two ways, first you either except the abuse you are being delt with or you start using all the legal channels to file complaints and suits against the company. I know how hard it is to find adequate employment in this economy, but you have to either accept the hand your delt or change it. People who stay with a company as long as some of you and haven't done anything about the abuse and mistreatment, you're the ones who need to be blamed. If you want to hold U.S. Security Associates accountable and get all the money you are owed, than contact a labor attorney about filing a class action lawsuit. Most labor attorneys will take this case on a contingency basis. As for filing complaints with BSIS and the California Labor board, good luck, neither agency could care less about what is happening to you. Both agencies will tell you to contact an attorney. Here is my advice, keep copies of all your time logs and make sure you turn in all your hours you worked regardless what threats are being made. There is an old say, "He who has the most paper work wins." By keeping track of all your hours and uniform receipts you will have a stronger case. The California Labor laws state that an employer who requires a specific type of uniform such as security must provide all parts of the uniforms except the boots. This means shirts, pants, badges, etc. Also, in the California, if a security company is requiring all security guards to provide their own equipment such as an Armed Guard, they have to pay you double the state minimum wage or they have to provide the equipment themselves. I do not remember the exact statutes on these matters, but I recommend to contact an attorney and file a suit against the company. To be honest, the only way to stop security companies from abusing and taking advantage of security guards to create a Union. Some states are already doing this, or contact different Unions to see if there is a way they can incorporate private security into their existing Union. The only way to change the problem is by fighting the problem and if you lose your job along the way, so be it. Either fight the fight, or shut up and stop complaining about it.

This company is a joke the govermant should envestagate them. During many of my shifts I would call and ask for relief from my post to use the rest room, I would wait on average of 4 hours sometimes my whole shift before I was relieved. You sign your rights to eat off post away, but they do not allow you to eat at your post. They cover up negligent distarges from firearms so that they can keep there client and constitly lie to their clients about vital things that would hirt the company.

Worked for this company for about 2 years; currently, they have a class action suit against them for denying meal breaks to employees; still in the courts, but if you feel that you've been abused in any way by U.S. Security, then, contact a good local employment law firm and you can file a suit for any abuses or or file with the labor board to get unpaid back wages. You worked hard for your wages, so ensure that you get paid in full; don't be a passive victim. The squeaky wheel gets the oil...

I will address JACK BRAND, in turn here; Jack-these wages are really marginal-and it sounds like you are working for a "tight-wad pig" of a client! THESE CLIENTS SELDOM COMPROMISE AND TOSS A BONE TO THE EMPLOYEE, OR GUARD. TO TAKE THIS RAFT OF PAPERWORK AND CHARGES TO THE LABOR RELATIONS BOARD WOULD TIE UP A LOT OF TIME-AND MAY GIVE YOU LITTLE-IF ANY-SATISFACTION. THE JOBS ARE STACKED AGAINST THE LOW WAGE WORKERS UNBELIEVABLY- AND IT IS ESPECIALLY HURTFUL IN DOWNTURN ECONOMIC TIMES. THIS DOESN'T HAVE TO BE-AND THE EMPLOYER CLIENT SHOULD KNOW IT IS WELL WORTH HIS EFFORT TO EXTEND A FEW DOLLARS AND FORM A RELATIONSHIP WITH THE HELP-BUT OFTEN, THEY DON'T SEE IT THAT WAY. THE AGENCIES OUTSOURCING, AND THE CLIENTS OFTEN SEE THE GUARDS AS DIXIE-CUP IMMIGRANTS, OR SUBSTANDARD AND UNEDUCATED TARGETS THAT CAN BE ABUSED. IT IS NOT A NICE WORK-PLACE ENVIRONMENT!

U.S. Security Associates unfairly terminated

my husband worked for the company us security for 2 years and then left the company for family reasons then he got rehired on august 2008 and got terminated on march 2009. the reason that he got terminated because they told him that he was calling in too much sick, and they dont understand that he is diabete, there is a law that says that people like these has to take 12 weeks out of the year to check on there glucose, relax, these company they didnt understand that! my husband always did what he was told and did what it took to get the job done, all the people that were he patrol had good things to say about him, nothing negative about him.
my husband did call in one time that i was really sick and they told him that he need a note from the doctor, we got one and fax to them then they needed the number to the doctor to speak to her we got it, then they told him that he wasnt clear to work until he spoke to the supervisor ( which he was on vaction until that monday) my husband spoke to the supervisor and he tried to let him know what happen, mr. daniel told my husband " regardless he need to be at work" he didnt care if i was sick and throwing up blood, he didnt care! my husband went to the meeting that was set for him and that day mr daniel sola told him that he was suspensed until he spoke to the branch manager and that he was going to get back to him that day, he never did. during the time that he was suspensed he called them various times to speak to the supervisor, brian told him " oh hes not in, oh hes with a person, oh hes in a meeting" when my husband went to get his check he asked to speak to mr sola and brian told him rudely " oh hes busy" it was three weeks exactly when my husband was told that he was fired! when we went to pick the check up it took almost 20 mins for rosa to get my husband his check, she was running around without her shoes " unprofession" and mr sola was there and didnt say nothing? brian was out the in the front munching like his food was going to run out from him .
these company doesnt treat there guards right, supervisers are under trained, un educated, un profressional( daniel sola "supervisor" brian
" dispatcher" rosa " payroll specilist" ) may of the people that i mention are rude, unprofession, and treat people like trash more ( brian the dispatcher)
i think that if any people are looking to find a security company look else were these company are untrain and rude! any guards looking for a job dont go there they will treat you like trash! unprofession, uneducated, undertrained,
save yourself a headache!
the company us security associates "sucks"

I agree with the complaints. I had been working in the Virginia area of the Conroy and Kraft company site. My problem was with a supervisor named Butler. That's where the problems started. He lied about my hours and accused me of being late twice in a row, even though I worked with him so he knew when I was there. Mindgames. Intimidation? I was a newhire and they have this bad practice where you fill out a sheet that the supervisor has access to. It can be changed. You have to phone in when you "clock in". problem is, new employess are not in the "system" so your Social is not recognized so you are at the mercy of the supervisor. when I quit, I found out later that they were not going to pay me, because of time sheet hours being questionable. Again, the supervisor had his hand in this. But the worst is still happening. This happened in early January on the new year. The rude and incompetent manager and the very small Maryland office, dragged his feet in addressing this problem. I wasn't even notified there was a problem with my paycheck. I found out by calling them after 2 weeks and a half. Then I was told there was an "investigation' and then was told by the woman clerk a week later that it was in "corporate hands". What does that mean? Its a sheet with hours. It takes minutes to find out what happened. You check to see if the uniform was returned. You call the supervisor. You talk to the security guards of the previous shift and the shift after the guard who is having payroll problems, - check when he left. Each security guard usually waits until the next guard replaces him. Plus you can check for witnesses, or cameras. Of course on holidays, there might be nobody around the site that you guard. I still have not been paid and can't even get any feedback or update into where my pay is. The manager in the 2 small room office in Maryland can't be patient to listen to me. I was interrupted and so got angry and really started blasting him. He then warns me that I am constantly interrupting him, but he is monopolizing the discussion and is refusing to answer my questions and won't talk to me about who he talked to. Its a lot of bull. In any other company they have a much more professional approach and can solve payroll issues because there is a timeclock or better phone call in check in procedure. I remember when I got hired in the Third week in December 2915, that while I was filling out paperwork in the office, I actually overheard an argument with the manager and a woman on the phone about not being paid. The foolish manager had her on speaker phone so everyone could hear. The lazy woman clerk was there also. they were rude to the woman on the phone. Then, when the manager checks his computer, he then apologizes to the woman, saying, "yeah, you are right. it looks like you didn't get paid and they held up the check for some reason." Right there, I should have realized what I was getting into. A bad branch of this company. It seems this company has a lot of bad apples. I mean, the manager at least should have withheld judgements until he checked the computer and should not have had the conversation on speakerphone so that I could hear. His desk was not even in a private office, It was in the same room as where I was filling out paperwork. The other room they had was actually the room with uniforms. And that office is supposed to serve most of Frederick county and west there of in VA and western Maryland. The other office is in Tysons Corner and that serves Front Royal and east from the Blueridge mnts. But its just the incompetence, the lack of organization and lack of courtesy to inform in writing or call me that there are problems with my pay. And then I find this site that has plenty of similar complaints concerning rudeness, payroll issues.

Your comments and many of the comments posted here explain why many of you are working in a low skill position such as a security guard and why you get no respect from your management. Most of you are uneducated, as evidenced by how you can't even spell simple words, and don't have the maturity or integrity to take accountability for your actions. I see many "I was treated unfairly's" and "I was set up, " and the real kicker is the stupid low-life who is actually SURPRISED that she and her husband got fired for faking sick and calling out too frequently! I've worked in the security business and I found that many of the ghetto and trailer park dwelling types always claim some kind of chronic ailment or mystery disability and use it as a crutch as to why they didn't do their job, or trying to get out of a shift. I had one guy working under me who claimed he had a bad heart, which would always "conveniently" cause him to have chest pains before shifts on weekends or holidays, yet he managed to have an excuse as to why he couldn't present emergency room or hospital discharge papers. Many ghetto types like to fake a "family emergency" in an attempt to leave early. I got a newsflash for all of you: your employer is a profit driven business, and if you're causing overtime, which cuts into that profit, well then they have every right to get rid of you. If you're too stupid or lazy to do your job, and your ineptitude is jeopardizing a revenue producing contract, then guess what; they have every right to get rid of you.

I was fired two days after being promoted by the client, yeah, the client. the supervisor did not want me at new post, so she went back and found something to fire me for. And the thing that I was fired for, at least 2 other people at that post, do the same thing and they still have there jobs. She even had the patrol person go back and write up a new statement that he seen me outside. That information should have been put on his ORiginal DAR, not a month after . This supervisor has a high turnover because she does not know how to treat people fairly or evenly. She likes to sit at her desk and play on her phone. All the sites have books, magazines, radios and you can have your own personal phone, to play on. I know it states in the handbook, that this is NOT allowed.

I have worked in the security industry for a long time (over 20 years). I can tell you that some of what you read in these comments is true but a lot of it is false. No low wage security company wants to have to hire a replacement for you. Chances are that if you get fired, you got fired for good reason. Oh they may not have treated you the way you wanted to be treated but the causation was still on you. In those rare cases where your actions did warrant termination, there are two possibilities as to why.

First, clients have the right to have you removed from their facility. Given the client-contractor relationship, the reason why may not be a legal one but by contract the security company is required to comply (if not they may lose the contract). Second, there are some honest mistakes that are made. Some times the company may not know specifics of an incident or have no way to prove what actually happened so they make the best guess they can. If that happened to you, move on and find another job. Face it, the one in security didn't pay all that well any way.

As for the rest of the complaints- yeah stuff happens sometimes. Usually its human error. When a branch makes consistent errors- especially with payroll- determine the severity of the problem (do they fix it right away, does it happen often, etc.) and if it is too bad, move on.

I should think for most people, its a job. I do the best I can to help everyone but that doesn't always work. All I ask of my folks is to be respectful (of me, your teammates, the client, visitors, etc.) and I will be respectful to you in kind; do your job and I will bend over backwards to do mine; don't cause problems and I won't take issue with you; be patient and I will be patient with you.

I was just let go from US Security Associates last week. I had NEVER ONCE been written up, called off, or left early. I had times where I worked 12 days in a row. I worked every shift, at different times, pulled long hours (12 hours, 16 hours), and I tried to do everything I could to make our workplace a better place to work. I agree that the "chain of command" is full of idiots. My wife went to high school with the branch operations manager. She said he was known as the biggest drug user in the school.

The long hours stink, they give you no breaks, you have to try to find 3 minutes to go to the restroom when you can.

The pay - well let's just say that they pay you below the POVERTY level! And that's when they're not cheating you out of hours!

Yet they make out on their website that they have such highly trained professionals... yeah right!

They only want some putz to come to work and stand there so the company can collect their big fees.

Yes, don't work for this company! I was set up and got Fired! This new employee didn't pass down what I had to do for the night, and since it fell on me they fired me and accused me of coming to work and planned to not do as I was told. They charged me with being "Willfully Disobedient" The memo they had on the door was vague and left to interpretation.
Serious, I didn't come to work wanting to Disobey! I didn't have a clue what I had to do and I never seen the note that first shift left for me. They then blamed me for not calling the Site Supervisor. I had no clue of anything until the first shift officer came in @ 6 am. I had NO Say in the matter. Now the new employee went undisciplined and I got fired. They are always right employee is always wrong no matter what happens! They do NO WRONG.
Another time before this ... I worked the 3rd shift and when I got there I was told not to check the empty trailers because I was by myself for 3 hours a night and I didn't have time. Then one day first and second shift didn't find some grills in the trailers for 4 days so they say and everyone got written up. I voiced my opinion and since then I noticed things were happening leading up to the night I got fired. My site supervisor told me that "If I didn't like it there that I could find another job" Then she told every one else of the 4 people who got written up. I thought that was unprofessional! Treatment of the employees is like being in grade school...Then my site supervisor says that she wanted me to sign the write up because she was trying to cover our ###? More like she was covering her own ###! She has no backbone and wouldn't dare stick up for the 3rd shift at all...So I got written up for something I was responsible for...Sure does SUCK!
Now they have a new crew there and they will be going out the door too it is just a matter of time.

U.S. Security Associates Job scam

Unless you're willing to spend money to make money for security officer positions don't waste your time. After arriving at a point of being hired and during the hiring interview I started hearing a whole lot of "oh, by the way". For instance, oh by the way you'll need to pay us 100 dollars for training for WA state certification. And oh by the way we'll need to take another 35 dollars out of your first two paychecks for another ambiguous charge. And oh by the way the full time position offered online is really a part time weekend position for right now and we'll see if we can find something more. In case you aren't familiar with benefits that means the benefits they advertised to pay at 90 days they won't have to pay because you accepted part time employment. Also the 13.50/hr position at North Bend is just the bait. All of their other positions are 11./hr and once you're hired you are obligated to work any of their sites. This company should be investigated for deceptive hiring practices because people looking for a jobs don't have time for "Oh, by the way".

I worked for U.S. Security for years and the office staff in Jenkintown Pa are such a JOKE!

One H/R Manager, Victor Lay is hated by everyone who is unlucky enough to be hired there!

The Account Managers only hire young females and / or friends and relatives! Truly a triple-trash

outfit with very LOW paying sites! Also, I worked at sites where I had to drive the company truck, and they provided NO insurance info and the vehicle was left up to me or any staff member, to keep that barely running old trash truck running and when I had to call corporate for help with the truck issues, I was repeatedly told by the boss, "It looks to me like you are on your own!" Really?

The U.S. Security supervisors who finally did come to do site checks, only showed up to screw the

females who were employees! A real disappointment of a very low quality trash company!

SO glad to kick the U.S. Security dust off of my shoes once and for all! Security company! HA!

I was hired by the Hagerstown, MD 'Branch" to work a Christmas Job.. great money.. but I had to spend 17hrs in my own vehicle.. but at 19.50 it was good for the bank account.. that was December 25th... As 2011 began and I called the "Administrative assistant" I always got a run around or "OOO we have to get some new forms .. I'll Call You..". Jobs were offered at 8 bills an hour.. that most decent security companies would get more $$ for the staff for having to do.. I.e. using your own vehicle for the entire shift [temp assignments] or require a Shack... the disgusting part of it.. the client was UPS.. having been an admin for another East Coast Staffing Co.. I know that USA simply underbid on the contract figuring they will staff it with those 'hard hit' for employement. LOL the Walmart Contract that I worked hadn't been fully staffed until the 24th!

When I was hired I left a goft cat position for a job at U.S. Sesurity promised a golf cart at my post. I ended standing up my
feet to the point of pain on my feet that I could not sleep at night. I had a foot problem for years but avoided jobs that I
would have to stand. I ended up seeing a podiastrest(foot docter} and I hate doctors to see him. As far as I am concerned U.S.
Security outright lied to me. I am a member of pre-paid legal services about this. I was told they had that legal right if
though it is is lie. I ended up spending alot of money on my feet to avoid the terrible pain that I have encountered. I should
not have had to spend any money on my feet. This standing also put me on musle relaxer because standing on my feet
caused arthrical, loss of motion, and pain which is because of their lie to me on the interview. They said your are using T"3s
which was made for police officers standing on my feet for hours.
