Ulta / earn points to wrong account

On January 28th 2017 at 4:41 pm I bought 212 dollars worth of makeup items. When I get home I checked my points on my app and I found that my points did not get applied to my account but another account. I was told on customer care email to return the items to get the correct points back but I gave the makeup items as a gift. What can be done to fix this situation. I am really disappointed with how I am told to fix the problem that I did not create.
