wrong tax return sent to irs & excessive fees
I created the start of my return online FREE Edition with Turbo Tax (TT) and thought it upgraded to Deluxe, but after they filed and I signed release to third party to withdraw from my checking, they took $59.90 for a simple return. When IRS deposited my refund it was much higher than what I claimed to be filed with them. I learned TT kept record of my initial return (completed Monday), not yet sent. The next day (Tuesday) when I revised my return and much prior to TT processing and sending it out to IRS 2 weeks later, TT sent the Monday return and not the Tuesday revised correct return to IRS. I had to amend my entire return and owed IRS money. This clearly was no fasult of my own and TT is at fault. When I spoke to Rodney tonight (March 12, 2011) he dodged the ball and tried real hard for me to read what he felt was a useful enlightening article produced by TT, which had nothing at all to do with my issue. He said there was no phone number, no address or email to send a complaint letter to and actually ignored my chat when I stated I wanted a refund for services not rendered and having to amend my return due to their fault. Eventually I ended the session after being ignored by IM.
direct deposit refund screw-up
We have been using Turbo Tax online to file our taxes electronically for several years. We filed for 2010 and had a sizeable refund coming for both federal and state. We asked for direct-deposit to our same bank as we had in previous years. After a couple of months, the refunds had not arrived so we checked with the IRS. They said the funds had been electronically refunded weeks earlier. We then checked our tax return printout and were alarmed to see that the bank information was not correct. We eventually found out that the routing number was for JP Morgan/Chase Bank (even though we bank with B of A) and that the account number portion was an invalid account. This was months ago, and after countless hours on the phone with the IRS, the California Franchise Tax Board, JP Morgan-Chase, and Turbo Tax, we feel like we are no where nearer to getting things resolved. So Turbo Tax was absolutely no help. They said they sometimes scramble the bank account numbers between years (normally all of our profile info is retained year-to-year) "for our security", and basically said it is not their problem and that we need to take it up with the IRS. The IRS apparently has no way after the fact retrieve any detailed information about which account number funds were transferred to. They cannot even tell us whether the transfer bounced back or went through. And JP Morgan Chase understandable is confused as to their involvement since we do not even bank with them. But they have verified that the account number is not nor ever would have been a valid account number, so that the transfer should never have gone through. But that info apparently is not enough for the IRS to send us a new check, since they cannot verify for themselves that the funds never went out. We are starting to wonder what it will take to get our refund.
scam
I have used TurboTax for the past several years and have always been quite pleased with it. This year, I have even been using its free, on-line service called "ItsDeductible, " which allows you to track all kinds of charitable donations and attaches government-approved dollar values to them.
I was thinking about purchasing TurboTax on-line this year instead of buying a disk with all that packaging material that just gets discarded (or recycled, as appropriate).
So I went on-line to check it out.
Be cautious and pay attention to the costs if you want to download the program vs. buying the disk.
To download the TurboTax Deluxe version, the cost is $29.95. Then, to download the State version, that will cost an additional $36.95. Total download cost is $66.90.
To buy the traditional CD via the website, that will cost $59.95 -- and the State version is included!
I can't say that is the same for the other versions. And I do know they have a free, basic version (but you still need to buy the State version).
I find it a little disheartening that it would cost more to download the Deluxe programs than to buy the CDs with all that nasty packaging no one needs.
Seems like it makes sense that it would always be cheaper to offer something via download than to offer it on a disk with the expensive packaging, but I don't own the business, so what do I know?
I love TurboTax and know they can charge whatever they want. I have every intention of buying the software today. I will go to Costco where it will be cheaper than the $59.95 -- PLUS I will get to use a $10-off coupon there, so that's great!
Just be cautious when doing your own shopping!
I filed my 2010 tax return this year with Turbotax, as I have for several years past. I had expected my refund today, February 11. However, when I checked my checking account, the money was not in there. I had to check a secondary company's website, which informed me I had to contact Turbotax regarding my refund. When I called the 800 number provided, the "gentleman" on the other end of the line informed me, in no uncertain terms, that Turbotax had incorrectly filed an entire BATCH of refunds, and as a result, I would be receiving my refund via check. The "gentleman" also informed me that there was no recourse, nor was there anything that could be done on their end.
The night before my tax refund was to go into my bank account i get a e-mail saying they had a processing error and cause my refund not to go into my account. they told me that the i.r.s will mail me my check. now instead of having my money when they told me it would go into my account. i have to wait 7 to 10 days now. i have bills due and no money to pay them.
My story is much the same as the ones I've read here...did my 2008 taxes using Turbo Tax. All seemed fine until two years later when I received the notice from the IRS that I owed them $600 for not reporting state tax refund income and retirement income. Looked at my copy of the return printed from Turbo Tax and the state refund is clearly there on my copy, but not on the one the IRS got...hmmmm. Class action suit sounds like a pretty good idea to me. I also find it disturbing that, when I pulled up this consumer affairs page to read complaints about Turbo Tax, the first thing I see at the top is an ad for Turbo Tax along with a link to their web page!
On November 9th while checking my bank account I noted a recurring withdrawal for $64.15 from intuit. I called the number listed [protected] and talked to a representative who told me I never authorized an automatic renewal and should not have been charged. I called Suntrust bank and they sent through a disputed request, the next day that charge was not on my account. However on November 19th; ten days after the representative from Intuit told me they would refund my money and cancel the Turbo Tax Advantage I was again charged for $64.15 on my account. I called the number *** *** ****. After a lengthy menu and much confusion I talked to Ashwini who could not understand English, could not find my account, kept asking me for an order number even though I explained several times that I did not order anything. She told me a CD had been recently mailed to me which I have not received. I then talked to "a supervisor" Shankar who again told me I would receive a credit in my account within the next 3-5 days. My question is this why would they again charge my account 10 days after my first phone call and why would they mail me a CD several days after my first phone call unless they are trying to slip this through my account?
My free taxes cost a total of nearly $60.00 I thought I was paying a process Fee of $29.00 (reasonable) I dont expect something for nothing . I was scammed.
messed up my 2008 taxes
T.T. prepared my taxes last year (2008) and put in that I paid $2, 189.083.00 in real estate tax. Their software did not catch it, I did not catch it (as this is what I paid them for) and the IRS did not catch it. I was refunded $4200 back and now received a letter from the IRS that there was an error in my 2008 taxes, and that I now owe them the $4200 back plus interest and penalty. I called TT and they gave me a site to file a complaint, but it is a non-existent place to go file a complaint form.
Bogus complain. Turbo Tax is not the same as hiring a tax professional. What you're paying for is software to e-file your return, nothing more.
I have never had an issue with TT. They stand behind their product. Try calling again and talk to a supervisor and keep calling until they get it right!
How is their fault when you entered the numbers? How the hell can it outguess what you put in there? Take responsibility and grow up.
could not print ssa copies of w-2's and 1099's
After I entered all of the data to print w-2's and 1099's into Turbo Tax Business 2010 I was unable to print the copies that are sent to the Social Security Administration because they did not offer the option to print without the lines and text. This is necessary because the forms that go to the IRS must be on their pink forms - you know - the forms from the dark ages. Turbo Tax support was useless. The live community - again - useless. The business version did not even offer the option of e-filing to avoid having to use the IRS forms.
I had to enter the date all over again in another program that allowed e-filing.
I will never use them again
Turbo Tax On Line cumputed we had paid excess social security tax and entered a credit on our 2008 federal return. Letter from IRS arrived 11-12-2010. It seems Turbo Tax combined social security tax paid (we both work) on our W2's to my husband. The goverment now wants the money back. I trusted Turbo Tax to cumput the information entered correctly. We have never had any problems with our taxes before not in 43 years. We will find someone else to do our taxes in the future. It seems 2008 was a bad year for mess ups at Turbo Tax as we weren't the only ones the happened to. I will never use them again.
I will never use them again either. I put down for both my Federal and State Taxes to be direct deposit. The web site said that both are filed and with direct deposit. When I downloaded the info to save my forms; the forms said that I would receive my Federal Refund in a paper check in FOUR to FIVE weeks! I was so pissed! I called them and waited forever; they had no answers; told me I cold call the IRS when my forms were accepted. I don't think the customer service rep had any idea of what she was doing! I asked for a refund; it took forever for her to do it. They said the refund for the services would take up to 90 DAYS! THEY SUCK...don't use them.
I used Tax Act without any problems in the past. I tried Turbo Tax because the websites said they were number one; so I decided to give it a try! I wish I had investigated further before using them. I really needed my refund sooner than FOUR to FIVE weeks this year!
bad service
I have my turbotax online account,
recently when i tried to logged into my account, my password was not working, i tried to reset the password and I noticed turbotax is sending password reset link to some different email address, it was not my registered email address.
So the issue is someone hacked into online turbotax account, changed the registered email address, changed the security questions. By doing this they got hands on all my 10 years tax document, which consist of my and my son social security number and other confidential information.
To my surprise turbotax.com did not even send me email before making such a big changes and still they do not have any record about my email address in that particular account.
I am questioning major security flaws in turbotax.com product.
overpayment in my refund
I received a notice from the IRS saying I owe $458.00 for my 2008 tax return filed with TurboTax. I have requested nearly 3 weeks ago to have TurboTax review the calculating error the sofware made and have not heard a word. I put in the exact amount of of my 1099-g and the software added 10% tax to my total tax withheld, which then caused an additional overpayment in my refund. When I reviewed my documents and tax return vs what the IRS shows to be the actual amount, one can clearly see the error TurboTax software made.
bait and switch
I was filing 2010 taxes for my 21 year old who had under $8000 income and no deductions, property, etc. We used the free version last year for 2009. Using last year's login it automatically switched us to the Deluxe version, charging $29.95 before it would let me file federal or print. (We chose not to file state with them because of the extra fee.) There was no warning or indication that this would occur. Is this bait and switch legal? How about a class action suit against the company?
selling personal info
I used Turbo Tax last month. It was suppose to be free but I was upgraded to the deluxe and paid 29.95. ALmost to the end was a form to fill out giving them the right to "share" your information which means sell. I did not fill this out. I did not authorize them to sell, give away, or lease my personal information yet since the day I pused the send button and I was lost in cyber space for about 5 minutes I have had one virus after another on my computer and numerous calls from the Gallop organization and numerous calls asking me to update college applications, surveys, and deep breathing with no one talking. Enough is enough. Someone make them stop this possible deception.
software refund incorrect
I am Disability Pension, I have $12, 000 in Pension and only one thing to deduct, Rent $6, 000.00 so you can see that I am poor and not qualified to do income taxes. I purchased Turbo Tax, the basic and choose Interview method, which was easy, you just answer questions. But my life and welfare depend on the $330.00 refund that I get every year without doubt. The rent I tried to enter by overriding F3 and it still came up Zero and Zero refund. If I did not have a friend who told me that I needed to manually go into the forms section and tick off something that said I had rent to deduct. I would have submitted this and got no refund. There will be millions of people in my situation and maybe REVENUE CANADA knows about this and purposefully does this so unsuspecting people get no refund that may pay for necessary items in an already poverty situation. It is pathetic. I was online for 25 minutes with INDIA with someone who could not even understand me. I called some long distance place that I could not afford either to try to explain this to them. The software is defective. The interview should say, tick here if you have rent to declare or property tax credit. In my opinion. This is complete robbery and CANADA REVENUE AGENCY IS PROBABLY IN ON IT.
PATHETIC CRAPPY GOVERNMENT THIEVES.
customer service
I did my taxes online with Turbo Tax and was charged extra money than stated. I was told an amount I would be receiving and when I got my refund check it was a 1/4 of the amount stated. I called their so called customer service line and it rang for quite a while. Then I waited on hold for 25 minutes before the line disconnected. The recorded messages states how important "we are" and that they will be with you in a minute or so-then they disconnect. I actually still haven't spoke to a "live" person and can't get through to the IRS either. Everything is automated but doesn't answer any of the "complaint" or "error" topic's that I need to discuss. This company is horrible! Don't make the mistake of giving your bank info. as they take your money but don't follow through with great service as stated. How do I really find out what to do in my situation?
I fill with turbo this year for (2014 filling) and they stated it was 34.99, when I was done filling total cost was $106! What a rip-off!
does not work / bait and switch
I thought I would try it because my daughter uses it. She has very simple return EZ and this year mine is pretty straight forward also except turbo tax online cannot get it processed even though all the information is correct and their fix it program is useless, their help icon is no help, their support is worse, but if I wanted to pay another $40 they could guarantee me it would go through. For such a simple process turbotax sure makes it difficult. I would be far better off paying a tax professional $70 to e-file or do the return myself and mail it.
I would never use this company again and will spread the word as far and wide as I can that this is a fraudulant company.

Here's a slice of "dialog" from the "help" site at Turbo Tax...
Please wait while we find an agent to assist you...
You have been connected to Vishnu K.
Vishnu K: Hello Tony.
Tony Jones: Hello
Vishnu K: Thank you for contacting TurboTax, previously QuickTax. How are you doing today?
Tony Jones: I am disappointed.
Tony Jones: I would like to have the free returns for my sons...
Tony Jones: that Turbo Tax promised with Premier.
Tony Jones: Can you authorize that, or do I need to speak to a manager?
Tony Jones: [Time passing...]
Tony Jones: hello?
Tony Jones: [more time passing...]
Tony Jones: are you there?
Vishnu K: Tony, please let me know how many returns have you used?
Tony Jones: 2 - my wife's and my own
Tony Jones: I was promised 12 returns, and have always done my sons' returns without having to pay extra.
Vishnu K: Are you getting any error while you are preparing more?
Tony Jones: This year, after I paid $117, now you want more money for my sons returns
Tony Jones: No error - just I have to pay extra in order to see the T1 or submit the file to CRA
Tony Jones: It is not right.
Tony Jones: I feel betrayed and deceived.
Vishnu K: Please let me know how many returns are available according to the "Return Counter Summary?
Tony Jones: where do I find that?
Vishnu K: Please open your TurboTax program.
Tony Jones: ok... one second...
Vishnu K: After opening click on 'view' at the top and select "Return Counter Summary? Please check 'Returns available' and 'Returns used'.
Tony Jones: I don't see 'view' at the top...
Vishnu K: Could you please let me know are you using TurboTax online?
Tony Jones: yes
Tony Jones: and when I am in Premier, and I start a new return for my son, it makes me choose "Student' and then I am in Student...
Tony Jones: and I have to pay more...
Tony Jones: how do I do my son's return in MY premier?
Vishnu K: Tony, I am sorry you chose wrong program.
Tony Jones: Well, how do I get into the right program?
Tony Jones: It promised me "12 returns"
Tony Jones: How can I trust Turbo Tax again?
Vishnu K: No, in TurboTax online you need to pay for every individual account.
Vishnu K: And in TurboTax desktop/CD version you get "12 returns".
Tony Jones: Where does it say that in the promotional material? It doesn't.
Vishnu K: http://turbotax.intuit.ca/business-tax-software/home-and-business-online.jsp
Vishnu K: You may see the CD/download and TurboTax online.
Tony Jones: Oh you mean this... "Additional/spousal returns for TurboTax Premier and Home & Business are priced at $16.99 each for the 2010 tax season."?
Vishnu K: Yes.
Tony Jones: In the tiniest print at the bottom of a LONG scroll-down page.
Tony Jones: I see.
Tony Jones: This is how Turbo Tax does business.
Tony Jones: This did not happen to me with QuickTax
Tony Jones: I feel it is dishonest and deceptive
Vishnu K: Tony, I am sorry, you need to use TurboTax desktop version.
Tony Jones: The CD version clearly advertises "New! 12 free returns" then because I have a Mac, I must use online version, but it does NOT say "Watch Out! With this version you have to pay every single time!"
Tony Jones: I cannot - I run Mac OSX, I just converted from Windows.
Tony Jones: So now you are punishing me for owning a Mac?
Tony Jones: Deceptive, bait-and-switch practice.
Vishnu K: Tony, you are using Mac then you only use TurboTax online.
Tony Jones: I KNOW! DON'T TELL ME SOMETHING I ALREADY KNOW!
Tony Jones: WHAT I AM SAYING IS THAT THE ADVERTISING FOR THE DESKTOP VERSION PROMINENTLY SAYS FREE RETURNS...
Tony Jones: BUT THE ONLINE VERSION DOES NOT PROMINENTLY SAY "NO FREE RETURNS'
Tony Jones: IT IS DECEPTIVE AND DISHONEST.
Vishnu K: Because desktop versions and CD versions are not compatible with Mac.
Tony Jones: What is the matter with you? Do you not understand that this is not why I am complaining? I understand that Mac doesn't run the desktop version.
Vishnu K: Okay.
Tony Jones: My complaint is that the two versions do not make the same offer, and they conceal the difference between the two.
Tony Jones: so a mac user gets lured into the online version and then has to pay more for the same service.
Tony Jones: it is DECEPTIVE and, in some jurisdictions, it is UNLAWFUL.
Tony Jones: So now, get me a manager, please, Vishnu K.
Tony Jones: get me your boss.
Vishnu K: Tony, my boss is not available here.
Tony Jones: What... you work unsupervised? There is no manager present? I find that hard to believe.
Tony Jones: I ask you again, please get a supervisor into this window.
Tony Jones: [...time passing...]
Tony Jones: Hello?
Tony Jones: [more time passing]
Vishnu K: Yes, I am here...
Tony Jones: [...and more...]
Tony Jones: ok
Tony Jones: so - where to from here?
Vishnu K: I was looking for him, but I am sorry he is not available here.
Tony Jones: I understand you are probably unable to help me. So now I would like to speak to someone who has the authority to escalate this issue.
Tony Jones: Come along, now... I am sure there is a manager. You must know by now that the internet is full of "Turbo Tax rip-off" sites, people are upset and I am one of them.
Tony Jones: Vishnu please just put the manager on your desktop.
Vishnu K: Tony, I request you please come over phone. We will provide you the best solution about this matter.
Vishnu K: Please...
Vishnu K: I am providing you the contact...wait.
Tony Jones: ok... I'll wait for a phone number and I will call you.
Vishnu K: Okay..
Tony Jones: and Vishnu, please do NOT give me Intuit Canada's 1-877 number...
Tony Jones: I have been around that rose-bush already, and it is not useful. Just a voicemail loop.
Vishnu K: 877.440.4288
Tony Jones: And where does that take me?
Vishnu K: Please come over-phone to resolve this issue soon.
Vishnu K: To our support team.
Tony Jones: I am calling... it is technical support only
Vishnu K: yes.
Tony Jones: ok...
Tony Jones: hold on...
Vishnu K: Okay.
Tony Jones: he will get his boss, to give me a refund
Tony Jones: he says... we will see.
Tony Jones: I know I'm not the first person with this complaint.
Vishnu K: Are you still on phone.
Vishnu K: ?
Vishnu K: Tony, I hope we are still connected.
Tony Jones: yes
Tony Jones: sorry
Tony Jones: this other fellow is running back and forth with his boss...
Vishnu K: Okay.
Tony Jones: Now his boss wants to know where I saw "12 Free Returns"...
Tony Jones: here we go again.
Tony Jones: How much do you think your customers enjoy this kind of thing?
Vishnu K: I know, but I am sorry the website clearly states that you would get 12 returns for desktop/CD versions.
Vishnu K: I can imagine your frustration because you paid for that service which was not useful to you.
Vishnu K: But why did you pay? TurboTax online does not ask you for pay until you not prepare for Netfile.
Vishnu K: Are you still on the chat?
Vishnu K: I am sorry but I must close this chat in order to assist other customers. Please try again when you have more time and we will be happy to assist you. Thank you for Contacting Intuit Canada and have a great day.
Thank you for using QuickTax. You may now close this window.
Your session has ended. You may now close this window.
SOOOooo... there you have it. Basically, the chat session ended because I was on the phone with another support guy (also in India). I asked for a refund and was told it was non-refundable. I pointed out that everything is refundable, it just takes a credit to my Visa card. He eventually agreed to escalate my dissatisfaction to "Level 3" - a revealing term in itself. I now have to wait for an email and a callback. The last chap did acknowledge that the web is full of complaints about Turbo Tax and "That is why I am escalating your situation to Level 3".
ADVICE TO OTHERS: IMMEDIATELY ASK FOR "LEVEL THREE". GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!
hidden fees and misleading rush of refund
Ok Turbotax is ridiculous and I fell for their gimmick again! I guess with the year passing my mind went foggy on the hidden fees and misleading line of ### that says "get your refund in as little as 8 days!" My total bill for filing was $58.00 ad that's because I owe state taxes- ootherwise I'm sure it would have been more. I used the online version with 'free' federal returns. Their disclaimer says refunds in 8 days if you file the 1040 EZ, 1040A, etc. which I did- now 17 days later and I still do not have my refund! I'm a single mom, student and my kids B-day is in February. I depend on this refund for survival until a day when I won't have too...I'd rather have my money fast and pay a little extra then to be promised fast and free service and then ramrodded! No more Turbotax ever!
Sorry allowed- not aloud
hahaha! Geez I'm aloud to complain- I filled out the 1040A and yes I checked the email and my refund was postponed due to delays. Not everyone is in the same boat, don't hate because I'm a single mom.
Get y0ur refund in as "little" as 8 days! You stated 8 days if you filed form 1040EZ, 1040A, etc. Which form did you fill out and did you request direct deposit and received a confirmation of the direct deposit? This 8 days would only apply to 1040EZ and 1040A, not 1040 long form. So there is no etc. applicable. Also, TurboTax sends you an email that allows you to check on your refund status. Did you pay attention to that? I got my refund within reasonable time from the IRS website. The IRS website stated my refund was to be mailed last Friday and I received the following Monday.
Do you not understand that "as little as 8 days" means that is the quickest you can receive your refund, and not a guarantee for how long it may really take?
And every that td577 said as well.
refund/ bank info
i filed my taxes on 1/21/2011 and when i was done i noticed that there wasn't a web page for bank information...6 hours i trying to locate this web page only not being able to find that damn bank info page. i spoke to 4 csr's who have given me almost nothing to find the bank page...with turbo tax it seems like you can't get the refund direct deposited using the free edition...that fact is last year..i received my refund direct deposited in 8 days...not so much this year...now i have to trace down my refund that i filed with turbo tax as the BIGGEST HEADACHE..so beware tax filers... i will be looking closely at turbo tax and may file false advertising charges with every agency who are watchdogs for such a thing. i don't want to see people making a comment who don't anything about this, for then your intelligence will show all who enter this site.

screwed up direct deposit/irs will now send hard check
I wanted to report that Turbo Tax had a major glitch in their system for people who used the program and had their refunds direct deposited to their account. Turbo tax is trying to keep this quiet but it’s a major problem. Basically everyone who wanted to have their refunds direct deposited is now going to be getting a live check from the IRS. Turbo tax did...

Do not use the debit card service. I was due to receive $200 with their Direct Deposit service. The card came and with a quickness but had no money on it. This is after they charged me nearly $79 all ready bringing my return even lower from $280. I was charged so that this magical plastic pos could show up in the mail even faster because there would be " NO HASSLE AT ALL!" according to turbo tax. What a scam. Now I am waiting on hold and have been for a half hour after searching for 2 hours just to find the "talk to a representative" option on the call service. This will be the last year I use turbo tax what a b.s service now. This is fraud with with tax money...

I love turbo tax, but I would never go any route besides direct deposit.
I've been using turbo tax for years and always use direct deposit. The software is easy and accurate.
stay away at all costs
I am beginning to wonder who owns Turbo Tax.
I have always had a professional preparer, but when the price climbs to $425 prep.for a single mother who owns nothing, I tried Turbo Tax.
I used it in 2006. Easy. Simple. Cheap. In May 2008, I was then audited for 2006 and put through months of penalties, fees and add on's, and was told I would have won, but the time limit meant I had to simply pay up. What time limit you might ask? The one that passed by waiting months for the IRS to dialogue, then respond.
I paid the extortion on a credit card.
Now, I get another notice of an audit for 2008 taxes.
That was the only other time I used Turbo Tax.
It shows I did not list $32 for an interest checking account (understood) and my $900 return from the state the previous year. Was this the stimulus that it never asked about, from Bush?
Are you kidding me?!?
I filed what I had, as it asked it of me.
What good is an audit guarantee if during the slow, dragged out BS, time limits are missed, penalties apply and interest?
I AM A SINGLE MOTHER! I have never been one to lie, cheat or steal.
I recommend this product only if you love to fight for years in a way that makes you feel helpless and hopeless.
I recommend this product only if you already know what needs to be asked, so that if it misses something, you are aware.
I now know why people work under the table.
No turbo Tax for me. It is a guarantee to me, alright: a Guarantee for an audit!
I used free service

Same problem...Says free...simple filling...single, no deductions, one W2. Get right to end, then BAM..$60.00. WTF? How did this happen. They are playing the odds. $60.00 or start over some where else. I don't think there is a "free" service. I did this last year, same thing. So this year I read every small detail. Made sure I did'nt check any boxes that say I agree to a fee. Nothing says $60.00. Everything says free. By the time you've spent an hour doing this your like "OK, F##k it take the damn $60.00. Should be a class action suit filed.
cannot cancel account/horrible company
Other than TurboTax having minimal and useless customer service, an all around horrible product that you can get most other places for a fraction of the price and continuously send you emails even though you never agreed to recieve any- you cannot delete your account. You cannot cancel your membership. I wanted my PERSONAL information out of their database...

I had an experience about Tax free service in Portugal airport. I bought clothes and I get tax free document. It was just 13 euros. I went to custom after check in and I said that I wore what I bought. He didnt believe me. He said that I should have show to him instead of wearing. Finally he didnt stamp and I couldnt took my tax payments. They should put notices that "dont wear if you buy something with tax free shopping".
