Public Storage burglarized storage unit

On June 9, 2017, I vacated my unit at Public Storage Facility on Hegenberger Rd. in Oakland, CA. Upon entering my unit, I immediately realized that my unit was burglarized. I went down to the office to complain and requested to speak to the manager. I spoke to Migdalia Torres Martinez. I informed her that it was obvious that this was an inside job. She informed me that the office was broken into and keys were "stolen" from the office and she wasn't sure which units were broken into. Since she stated the keys were stolen, I requested a copy of the police report of this incident as well as a copy of the notice that was sent to all Public Storage occupants notifying us that our units were compromised and that we should come and inspect them. She was off course unable to produce those documents and proceeded to tell me that she was off of work and wasn't going to discuss or deal with business and got on the elevator. My deceased husband's PRICELESS belongings, electronics, clothing as well as a comic book collection valued over $30k were all stolen from the unit. THIS IS A DISGRACE and I'm pressing charges against her and public storage. After speaking to other occupants that day, I was informed that occupants have seen Migdalia and her boyfriend selling stolen goods at the nearby flea market. I also researched them on Facebook and was able to obtain evidence supporting my accusations.

Public Storage missing and damaged property at public storage unethical business

My complaint against Public Storage @ 895 Cobb Pkwy Marietta, GA the District Mgr is Greg Lovelace. I moved my property out only to find all my boxes had been gone thru, bags ripped, missing property, damaged property, furniture, cords ate thru and rat droppings on everything when I complained about damaged and missing property Public Storage seemed unconcerned and did nothing to reimburse me for my stolen and damaged items and when I asked why was my locked cut off more than 6xs I was told because if payment is late for 23 days they start Auctions and they cut my lockoff to gain access to see if something is still in the unit to sell to pay for the Auction, but my property was Never Auctioned and all the late and Rental fees been paid. I did not feel it was right to have access to my property by cutting off my Lock? I was also told this location has No Security Cameras so no way to know who accessed my property other than Public Storage Employees and Manager and no idea what happened to my missing furniture, items. My mistake for trusting Public Storage with my property I will NEVER use Public Storage or any of its Affiliates again. BUYER BEWARE This UNETHICAL company should be Shut Down!

Public Storage unit/customer service

I was told my due date was July 5th from the office I rented from while customer service said it was due July 1st. They need to be more clear when renting out units they started I needed to add an emergency contact even though I started I didn't want one/ so I listed my kids father. Before I wrote his name and info down I simply asked is this going to stop him from renting out a unit in his name. Front desk stated No he will still get the promotion price since he's just an emergency contact. FINE! He drives 45 mins JULY 5th & JULY 6th there each time he's told he can't rent it's 5:15 we are about to close this was JULY 5TH. Even though he was scheduled to go in. JULY 6th came once again he drove 45 mins to get there. The lady stated to me she reviewed his reservation and wasn't going to give the promotion to him even though he doesn't have any into rented in his name Just listed as my emergency contact. BUT waited till he got there to tell him instead of wasting out gas she could have told him when she called and asked if was on his way. 3216 E Pioneer Parkway Arlington Tx 76010

Public Storage Bad Service

We was with Public Storage for almost two years. We just vacated on July 1st 2017. We called to let your company know that we were vacating on July 1st 2017. And made sure we did not have to pay for any for July. We got everything out of our unit July 1st early that moring. When it was time to go to the office the manager was gone. So we came back. And tried to get a vacate letter to be done with it. Then the manager said you owe 19.84. Well I was very upset! Because I was LIED TOO! Get this... 15.00 of it was for the insurance. That's for a month! And they charged us for a day. Well our things were out before 11am. DO NOT GET A STORAGE UNIT FROM THIS PLACE! PLUS ALL THE INSURANCE MONEY WE PAID SOME THINGS GOT DAMAGED! Plus the payments go up without notice! BUNCH OF LIAR'S!MONEY HUNGRY PEOPLE!

Public Storage managers holding units hostage, refusing access to move out, illegal fees, and theft

This place is a case study in progress. The employees hate their jobs, do not want to be working there, or be bothered by the consumers that pay to rent. These girls do not give a rats [censor] what the image of this company is, are not interested in customer service. They cut off locks when they please, then demand you purchase new ones for 50 bucks or you are not allowed back in your unit. I was denied access to my unit for 28 days by management, they refused access to me to move my belongings out for 28 days. After 4 attempts to move out I had to call the sheriff's department, send out a deputy, to force the manager to let me into my units to vacate. There was no delinquent payments,, no reason to hold my stuff hostage for 28 days. They tried to say I had to purchase new locks at 50 bucks to gain entry to move out. I said I am not going to buy locks that management cut off and then ransacked my belongs, I had purchased said locks already, they cut them off for no obvious reason. I had spent around $6000 in this place, and they are chopping locks for what. The managers would take off when I was coming in to get my access back. Leave the property knowing I was trying to move out, and had made move out dates in advance. Leaving me with movers, truck, and no access to my unit. All this cost me enormous amount of money having to pay people to show up, only to be left high and dry by public storage managers, who would either leave the property, or lock themselves in the office, and refuse to do their jobs. This ploy was a attempt to force me to pay another month's rent, or put additional fees on my account. This place is run by a bunch of crooks, they are in violation of the deceptive trade practice laws. They do not care if they are destroying the image of this company, if they are operating within legal boundaries, or if they are breaking laws. Like I said, had to call the sheriff's office to get my drivers license back that one of the managers confiscated and held after locking me out of the office.. I have never seen behavior like this anywhere before.. They are attempting to force me to pay a additional month of rent by delaying my move out, and rain is in the forecast for the remainder of the month. This is the last place you want to store your things. This place will throw everything possible at you to force additional fees on you that they pocket themselfs..

Public Storage payment and then told it was auctioned

I was told to pay my unit, I had sent 3 cashiers checks and none were honored. In this time I was incarcerated and had my boyfriend make a payment. He did and said he'd pay more over the weekend. Only to find out Monday it was already auctioned. How come I owe the full amount if it was auctioned it should be lowered.
I have lost everything bc of a pm who failed to be up front and honest
I plan to sue

Public Storage storage unit

I went to my storage unit in Belton MO yesterday and found that it was infested with MICE! The on-duty manager just pushed me off on the insurance which only covers $250 worth of damages! I have reached out twice to the District Manager Travis Olson who has yet to respond! ! The unit given to me had a huge hole in the ceiling big enough for a large person to go through and the ceiling that was in place was bulging and barely held in place. The hole was eventually fixed per my request (the office attendant only offered to give me rat traps because of my concern). Apparently the fix came too late. They should never have put me in this crappy unit in the first place! I expect a FULL REFUND and damages!

Public Storage customer service

I will never use this unit again i had picked up my items from the unit as i went to leave i had an employee at the mclean virginia location yell at me because she was walking her dog AT WORK while on the clock and because i wasnt expecting a dog to be at this womans workplace i almost ran over the dog with my car she yelled at me to watch where i was going, i didnt know public storage promoted such unprofessionalism, every time i go there she is outside smoking a cigarette talking on the phone i have moved the items out of the unit and canceled my business there it was ridiculous public storage needs to get control of their employees its disgusting

Public Storage unit raises for maintenance, what maintenance?

I'd like to know why the price of my unit has gone up twice in the year and a half that I've had this unit? The girl told me for maitance, what maitance? I rented from this exact place years ago and nothing looks any better than it did back then, so what maitance are we talking about? They do nothing with my unit to maitain it, I do that myself. So I'm confused as to why the price has gone up twice in a year and a half, please explain. Stuff sitting in a box that doesn't require anyone to do anything with shouldn't need to have the price raised so frequently. Once it reaches $175. I'll be moving my stuff out of there, I'm sure a lot of other people feel the same way. Plus I am never late on making my payments, but that's a ridiculous price to charge someone if they're late. What a racket storage is.

Public Storage employee

The Afro-American woman began harassing me by pounding on my window of my vehicle that i got into because of the hail and rain. I was killing about an hour of time before having to pick up my son from school down the street. She threatened me and said she was watching me sleep all morning which is a lie. She yelled at me demanding that I leave the property and that unit will lockdown and i would be trespassing. She was absolutely out of line. I have been renting hear for 200 a month for months and never have been miss treated. I called the manage and left a message but the Afro-American called Me back threatening again very angry demanding that I leave at once. I was getting some things out and putting things in my unit while killing time so I have done nothing wrong. I am so upset I truly have been bullied harassed and feel very violated !

Public Storage illegal tampering with an cliente account

Prior to April 4, 2017, my bill was payed for know problems, except for an employee who was making rude comments and suggestions of making a get away with my rent money. Which is exactly what they did. Because two to three days later someone placed a padded lock on my unit A145, and I was locked out from my unit without a notice. The next day my gate code was disabled and I couldn't even get into the building, "without any notice". It's now 4 weeks later numerous calls to customer service, no emails of an explanation, and the run around by the property manager, and DM, as to what's going on with my unit rental. Customer service has mentioned that a 6 month pay increase was added, but they did not see anything stating an exclusion from my UNIT. Now there manager wants to speak with me regarding an unspecified subject. I don't have time for there assumption, I'm a paying customer, and would care less if they are insecure about something going on off the record. I will pay my bill. But my gate code needs to me restored and the lock they put on needs to be cut.

Public Storage public storage facility, chicago il broadway st

We booked a storage unit 1 month from moving, had to cancel it bc they don't hold them for that long (after the 2nd visit there I was told this). Ok, np. Booked a unit 11 days from moving (I looked at the unit twice). Morning before move, I get an email stating the fee is now double what I originally reserved online. Well that's odd since I have the email confirmation stating it was the $1 move-in special. Called the facility, was told there is nothing they can do about it and call customer service. Called customer service, was told the email was wrong with the lower price and I should call the Storage Facility.

Something totally not right here. Called facility back 2 more times, called customer service once more, even left message for the owner ( who checks his VM twice a day). Owner stated the original reservation was a "pre-reservation". Ok, I get if it was, but NO WHERE on the email does it state that.

We even had to end up renting from here bc the movers were literally on their way to the facility. We were stuck. The unit we rented was smaller, cost more, damp, and smelled of mildew/mold.

Way to scam more money out of your customers at the last minute when they are already dealing with the stress of moving. This facility did not make anything easy.

Public Storage customer service

This public storage facility off cousteau in laguna hills is such a joke. I had one of my worst customer service experiences today. Some gross rude lady named jennifer interrupted my appointment because she had to let me know I did not qualify for any promotion and I would have to pay the full price of like over $400. Even though my reservation states otherwise. I asked her why and she said some # about me having an existing account etc.. When i've personally never used their facility before. I tried to explain but she was soo loud and rude I couldn't even deal with how she was talking to me. So I walked out because no one deserves to be treated like that. Tried to call their corporate customer service to make a complaint and I got like 4 phone numbers. Biggest run around ever! Tried to call customer service to file a complaint, they told me to call their district manager, lizette janikowski who couldn't find my reservation tried to look it up and then got disconnected with me, I tried to call her back and then I called customer service back since an hr went by with no return call. They then gave me the dms supervisors #. No answer. It's the biggest joke honestly. I honestly hope that lady was just having a really bad day because no one deserves to be treated like that. I manage a restaurant and I would fire any of my bartenders or servers if I ever heard of them treating a customer like that. I wouldn't be surprised if I don't get a call back and she doesn't get reprimanded. And why is it so difficult to file a complaint?

Public Storage brandy at 6451 hilltop drive, north richland hills tx

Brandy allowed several people to live in storage unit! One of them is a well known needle junky! You will find needles on the roof building G! As well as allowing​ them to keep a extension cord plugged in all day and night! She also mentioned that she does drugs as well! She allowed people to be in there until after there rent was due and gate code was not working ! Told them to just sneak in under the gate!

Public Storage storage bin and customer service

My complaint regarding Public storage is their customer services reps lie, and you cannot get any response from corporate headquarters. I've been trying to contact them since Monday April 3rd, when you call them and they transfer you it gets disconnect and the numbers division levels leave for you to call belong to someone else. Public Storage rental unit

How is it possible that you could raise the rent whenever you want multiple times during the year ridiculous amounts of money I had been there 60 days and you raise my rent raised it again less than a year later and yet another raise going to get together some people to file a class action lawsuit against you force me to pay insurance you raise the rates whenever you feel like it your staff are inadequate

Public Storage storage unit company

Just to let you know, my storage unit k-031 at your ft caroline rd public storage office, is empty. Its all yours you crooks! And liers! When I moved into your unit, I was informed and I was told I could acess it as much as I wanted to, and I could work in it also. Which things were fine great at first. Till you switched managers. See when I moved in, it was store items, wood, crates, business equipment, and I checked and I was told it was ok, no problems, why would I ever just want to store used crates, and wood for! Then you get a new manager in there, and I guess they had something up there # over me, told me no you cant work out of the unit, or use our electric... Well we argued over that, I stopped using your damn gold electric, but yet there were several others in ypur site who could and they still are, and they have been using it, but god damn we never could do it, guess because im white, hell I dont know, others worked out of there units, and used your electric, and the owners drove right passed them not saying a damn word to them, even had extension cords across the roadway too. And no one never stopped told them they cant do it, but damn if we did, they stopped gave us hell, said no. So I guess its just some can do what they want in there units and others cant do things. Every day we drove in there others using your precious electric, working in your precious units-damn things we could not do, things your site managers stopped uis from doing, but yet they drive, walk right passed others doing it, and dont say #! Your rules only apply to those you want to give a damn hard time too.

Your dollar first month advertising is nothing but "bs" too. Every 4 to 5 months you raise the damn rent, I moved into 10x30 at 199.00 a month, and you jacked it up almost double already 360.00...# I could almost get a damn apartment for that much money. You say cost of living raises, bull #!. Your nothing but rip off`s. Liers, crooks, im so glad to finally be out from your storage unit. You can have the damn thing (Empty), and you can start screwing others. I will tell you this much.

And I have already started it, and im going to continue doing it too. Every place I can on the web, or site. Im going to warn, tell them all how crooked you all are. And to not ever use you! I wont recommend you to no one ever! Enjoy losing money you crooks, better raise everyone elses rent now to cover it you crooks, bye and glad to be gone!

Public Storage employees breaking into units

This place is a complete scam. Employees are breaking into units at this location and switching locks for easy accessibility into other people's storage lockers. I got the run around from the "property manager" who insulted my intelligence as well as his fellow staff after discovering that the original lock that was issued to me at the rental set up was not the lock on my storage unit. The claims department never responded after an insurance claim was filed. Will be taking matters further.

Public Storage public storage - wrongful auction!!!

Ps- locked me out!
Ps- never gave me written notices nor received certified mail giving me an auction date.
Pb- employee gave me wrong information and totally mislead me.
Ps - over charged late fees!
Ps- rejected my family members payment.
Stole / sold my - passports, computers, citizenship certificates, clothes, luxury bags, suitcases, jewelry, paintings, furniture, collectors pen, coins, checks, clock, shoes, movies, mail, kidsbirthcertificates, medical files, hospital papers, and etc.., ,
I know this was an inside job -
Plotted auction because my things were rearranged and "missing" time to time.

Public storage is not safe !
If you are a victim by public storage- seek dale washington .

Public Storage storage unit.

I had rented a storage unit from 6/2016 until 3/2017, during that time rats invested and ruined my whole 2 bedroom apartment full of belongings. Also, there was mold and an apparent water leak. The local manager and corporate office refuse to assist me with compensation for my damaged property. I have lost almost all of my worldly possessions. They refuse to compensate me because I declined insurance. I did so after I was assured that their were no problems with rodents, bed bugs, mold, and rodents. I have since found out from one of their employees that was a lie, they have had reoccurring issues with mold and rodents. I have a video of the moving helper testifying about the rat droppings on most of my boxes and the rat they saw running into the hole pictured below. Lastly, they raised my rent from $214.00 a month to $245.00 without even notifying me. Thankfully, I was moving out the day of the rent hike. I paid them to destroy my property!
