Popeyes - complete an online survey to receive validation code for free food is a scam

I ate at a Popeyes today and completed your online survey in anticipation that I was going to get a validation code to receive free chicken and biscuits only to discover it to be false advertising and a scam...very frustrating because I had to call your corporate office to be transferred to another number in which I was on hold for over an hour in which I...

Popeyes discrimination of civil rights

My name is mr. Donald wyatt who applied for a manager position for popeyes in indpls ind through snag a job. Snag a job set me up with a phone interview with the owner of the indpls market popeyes who the franchise is out of colorado. Waited a week for a reply from popeyes if I was to be hired. So I contacted snag a job to find out. Snag a job contacted me by phone and by email and was told this. The owner of the indy market from colorado told snag a job that he will not hire me because of my culture. This is a civil rights violation of discrimination and wish to file a complaint against this discrimatory practice.

Legally, discrimination is about race or other specific demographics but "culture" is entirely legal to discriminate against. You had an interview with them and apparently said something they did not think fit a manager. I can refuse to hire a person based on them telling me for example that they didn't think it was important to come to work every day they were scheduled, just because, thats the way they see it. That could fall under the culture thing. Clean up your language is my guess.

Every time I go get chicken they have this rude casher guy taking orders... With all of the people out of work get somebody else to work there and fire him... He was nasty to the people in front of me this time which is just wrong... People are reading the menu and he is like rushing them or getting mad that they are taking so long to order he is a jerk and needs to be shown the door... The other people there are real nice but you always have one rotton apple in the bunch... It is the popeye's near publix in melbourne fl... If any body with the head office reads this please do something about this jerk...

It's called a fast food restaurant for a reason, speed. Some of us are on a limited schedule. If you don't know what you want then let the next person in line go ahead with their order. You can still read the menu and decide what you want, THEN step up to the order counter. The cashier is just trying to keep the line moving. Sounds like a good job to me.

Popeyes harassment

I karen Lynn Torres am a Homeless disabled lady. I pan-handle every day and give my Business to Popeye's.

Today the manager "JEFF" sits down next to me and states: ":"Karen I see you out asking my customers for money and it's hurting my business." I replied, : "Sorry, I won't do it anymore."
Jeff needs to be taught the first rule of sales, you never turn any customer away and the customer is always right! Jeff not only lost my business now I will get on facebook and tell all my friends not to go to popeye's on Lake Street. JEFF sees me pan-handle EVER-DAY and all my money used to go to POPEYE'S so how am I hurting his business"?
Thanks! Karen Torres

I went to Popeyes and ate a two piece dark meat chicken with potatoes and coleslaw. Within two hours I was sick. I began to vomit for the next four hours along with diarrhea. I passed out twice and luckily only received a few bruises. Worst night of my life.

Popeyes bait and switch

I am tired of these blasted bait-and-switch Popeye's commercials! I have been seeing this same commercial about 3 strips of this new amazing chicken tender, along with seasoned fries and a biscuit, only for the low price of $3.99 as a meal! So, with mouths watering and hungry tummies, and lean income, we immediately get into our car and drive to Popeyes. Low and behold, the manager tells us "Today is the last day of that offer, and we ran out of those chicken tenders." Naturally, we had to resort to buying something more expensive because we took the time to drive there and were hungry. Guess what: That was several weeks ago, and the same exact commercial with the $3.99 chicken tender deal is STILL playing! I am not going to be a sucker for Popeyes anymore! They utilize the ol' bait-n-switch tactic and I am not giving them my business anymore!

Popeyes popeyes employee yells at customer

Today I went into Popeyes (#3283) to get my weekly usual and for some reason this time things went terribly wrong. I waited momentarily while the employees assisted the drive thru. I then complain and thats when AUGUSTINE comes over to assist but obviously bothered I requested his attention. I place my order and when I proceed to pay he snatches the money out of my hand with an attitude. I then complain about his rude and nasty behavoir and thats when ISABELL begans to yell, scream and really become biligerant with me. The other employees held her back and requested she lower her voice because the dine in customers were becoming startled from her behavoir. I asked for a refund and did not proceed with business at this location. I had to drive over a mile to get decent customer service (#2056). I am a frequent customer with receipts to prove it. I will not be remaining a customer unless something is done about ISABELL. It is never acceptable to yell and scream at a customer in such a manner. It should not be allowed by anyone representing POPEYES. I will not let this situation go. I will be notifying corporate, the manager at the location in addition to posting my reviews on ever website. People deserve better when they patronize a company.I want to be contacted in regards to his traumatizing experience.

Popeyes didn't geet what was ordered

I placed an order for one snack meal and full meal. The snack was regular chicken all white and the full meal was all white and to be the spicy one. After we left with our order and opened the boxes to eat, I found I had regular chicken and instead of all white I had gotten a breast and a leg. This meal cost over $10 and I couldn't even get what I had ordered. The snack meal was ok. I really feel that I should be compensated for not getting what was ordered and paid for. I am not from Decatur so was on the road about 10 miles out when I discovered this.

Popeyes bad quality of food

I went to popeyes around 930 pm I ordered a two special they had for 4.99. The service was great but when I got home to eat my food my chicken was old you can tell because it was rubbery like and you can see it was under the light to long. I would like for them to replace my meal because I would rather for her to say we're close or whatever then to lert me buy old chicken.

Popeyes nasty order-taker

There is a Popeye's Restaurant in Harrison, NJ close by my job. Although it is out of my way, I decided to visit the one in East Orange, NJ instead because it is in my city. Around 7:20pm, I entered the drive-thru: the order-taker was short and nasty. In the middle of my ordering, she cut me off and barked that I come to the window. At the window, I asked, “what is the problem; I did not do anything to you, why are you acting like this?” The woman says that she was the manager- not the order-taker I spoke with and that she was going to help me with my order. Relieved, I said “good- ‘cause I don’t know what that girl’s problem is and I didn’t do anything to her”. While the manager took my order, the nasty order-taker actually came to the window starring me down. I point to her and asked “is that her?” The manager says yes. I say, “I do not want her to have anything to do with my order, nothing what-so-ever”. I was assured that she would not, but she came back to the window making faces at me. I said, “Look at what she is doing right now”. While the manager was putting together my food, the order taker tried to take my credit card and I told her that she was not going to touch my card or anything because I was not going to deal with her. She swelled up yelling, talking nastier than before- saying that it was her draw(er); I had to give her my card because no one else can touch her draw(er)… She hit the machine, pulled on the drawer and repeated- no one touches her draw- and shook her head at me. Then other workers came to look at me and laugh. One came back asking me to pull over and wait for my food. I told her that I wanted my money back and nothing from this place. The manager came back and said that she was working as fast as she could but had to wait for my chicken fingers. I repeated that I had had more than enough and wanted nothing from this place but my money back. She said she understood and refunded my $20.83.

I drove thirty seconds to Kentucky Fried Chicken and went into the restaurant this time. I did not hear anything coming from drive-thru. The young lady at the front was responsive and very cordial. She let me know that she would be happy to take my order when I was ready, but she stepped away immediately. Another team member saw me ready and said that she would take my order. I spent $27.19- the same items I wanted from Popeye’s plus a chicken potpie.

I am horrified that Sha-Sha, the nasty order-taker at Popeye’s (her name is on my receipt), behaved so badly to a customer and especially to me because I did nothing to antagonize her. I am hurt because I went out of my way to visit that Popeye’s (it is across town from my home and the highway I get off of plus I have a refrigerator full of food- a meal was already in the works to cook for dinner that evening when I decided to change it up). The owners should choose their employees better and maybe give a customer service review before putting them on the floor to represent their business.

When Popeye's came to Centerpoint everyone was so excited, I have always gone to the one at the Palisades so when you guys opened one in Centerpoint I thought great! Wrong every time I go I don't have the sauce I asked for that should come with the fingers or as the other customer commented my drink is carbonated water only or it's not the drink I requested or my three piece I paid for is a two piece and these teens have attitude out the wazoo, management in my opinion needs to be re-evaluated as well.

Popeyes never going back

On 6/08/2011 we visited the Popeye's Chicken in Keller, TX. We placed our order in the drive thru and was asked to pull forward because they had to cook our order of Wicked Chicken. She said it would be 3 minutes. We pulled forward and waited for 12 minutes. They finally cam out with our order. I asked the manager why it took 12 minutes for what were told would take 3 minutes. Her response was "We had to cook your other order (chicken breast dinner) because they had given the last breast to a customer that came thru the dive thru after us". I said isn't it customary to serve the people that had paid first. She said "I am sorry but that is what happened". I asked if that is all she had to say and she said yes. I then told her that I would be contacting her corporate office. She said "That is fine, do what you have to do". I called Popeye's when I got home. I spoke to a customer service rep that took all the info. She told me that someone would be contacting me within 48 hours. It is now 6/15/2011. I still have not heard from anyone from Popeye's. I guess this shows the company's concern about their patrons (former now). We will never go back because of their lack of concern.

wow, that extra 9 minutes of waiting to stuff your face with nasty greasy slop must've been killer.

obviously someone made a mistake and gave it to someone before you by accident, and you felt the need to get a manager, throw a tantrum, call corporate...then come here and further make a fool of yourself. All that, and it was in June, and is now November.

Move on..

Popeyes shorted on to-go orders

Ordered two $20 specials on takeout consisting of : 12 pcs of chicken, two large sides, and 6 biscuits per order. We received no biscuits and only twenty pieces of chicken. When the day Manager was notified, we had to wait ten minutes for him to arrive, the situation was explained to him, he offered no apology, no word whatsoever... He just turned away and said nothing further, but I told him that we would be contacting the Popeye's Headquarters, writing the Better Business Bureau and copying the local police and sheriff.

We buy lunch one to three times a week for our work crew, when we have them move, build or otherwise do a big job in the field that takes the lot of them to do. . .

Update by PGSI
Nov 02, 2011 7:58 pm EDT

I had my wife go, and even warned her against going to Popeye's because of similar problems in the past. . . So, today, I went to Popeye's, talked to the Manager directly, received nothing but rudeness, went to Bojangles (about two blocks further South on Blanding Blvd. on the right), spent $72 on three 12 pc takeout specials with three large items each and 1/2 gal of tea to go, and guess what, they had a supervisor double-check the order before giving it to me, even through in some extra gravy, honey, jellies, napkins, cups and plates at no charge and without asking. I am sending my compliments to their headquarters management now!

Update by PGSI
Nov 02, 2011 7:46 pm EDT

Caveat Emptor is never a good policy with takeout! It aways implies the customer is being cheated unless the customer checks the contents. A pig in a poke. When money is exchanged for a clear order a contract is made. When something less is delivered, the act is fraud or theft, especially when such is repeated, as is this case. . .

Update by PGSI
Nov 02, 2011 7:33 pm EDT

This isn't the first time. . . This store has a history. There would not be a complaint if management would own up to these errors and at least try to correct them, much less, try to make it right, which, they never seem to be able or want to do!

Update by PGSI
Nov 02, 2011 7:13 pm EDT

Always pack the contents of your to-go orders and double-check them before giving the order over to the customer. Obviously, this was not done. . . and it will cost y'all a good deal of business.

Popeyes undercooked chicken/sides missing 3 times

Have made 3 vivits to Popeyes (a new one just opened in Milford, Delaware) 3 times the sides have been missing, and the last one the chicken was sour and undercooked (13 piece). Went back and took the chicken back, took about 20 minutes to get someone to wait on us (my wife and I) Was told that there was nothing that they could do without corporate approval. What does this all mean? Crap food and service and passing the buck! Will never go back, and word of mouth will be my main objective!

Yes, check your food before you leave the lot or dinning area...I have that problem all the time with different places...especially Wendy's. But the manager shouldn't have been rude. What she should have said was to come back up, bring your receipt (with your stuff or without it the receipt would have sufficed) and could have gave you what was missing...problem solved (in the perfect world lol)

To bag Or not to bag that is the question?, If it's in a box do you really need a bag? Or do you just want to add more trash to your local City Dump?Hear tell they have this concept where you can actually eat your food inside so that you dont have to worry about that bag to place your box inside of, maybe that could be an option for you? And Jim after seeing the sign you posted i'm very glad they closed the Popeyes here, hard telling what else they are selling the public disguised as food, dont think that the majority of us are ready for the JALAPENIS CHICKEN POOPERS on the menu at that popeyes.Lol.

Popeyes I found a disgusting finger nail in the mashed potatoes!

On May 15th aound 6 pm I arrived at popeye's chicken and biscuits And ordered a 11 peice all dark meat chicken box, with that I had my pick of two sides which I ordered mashed potatoes and coleslaw, Along with my order came 5 biscuits as well. for the cost of 19.99$ plus tax. As I later returned to my home and starting passing out the meal to my family I myself loren Lara Felt something hard and oddly shaped in my mouth after consuming the fourth or fith bite of my mashed potatoes. I then grabbed what was in my mouth only to find that it was what appeared to be a finger nail clipping. I being completly disgusted and worried for my family's health threw away the remains of our meal. words can not describe to you how upset and disgusted I am about finding a fIngernail clipping in MY FOOD! I expect to get a complete refund of my money or I will take further legal actions on this! you can contact me at [protected]. and my address is 286 lancer oak drive apopka florida 32712. I would like to tell you about the improvement in this store number 12986. This is the Cookeville TN store. I wrote it up about a year ago and said I would not go back. Well I have now been back about three time . The store is now very clean and you can now read the stand here sticker on the floor. The smoke from the grease is gone and I think from the way the food come out it is being change and the temp are set as they should be . As I said I have been back a few time so this is a change in the way the store manager train the crew and keep their store. Good Job and I am glad to see the change. I will be back. Dennis Lewis

Popeyes vulgar language from employees

Y family and I went into this location and when we entered the store we could clearly hear this dark skin black women just yelling out every cuss word she could find in her very limited vocabulary. She detailed how she will run people off the road, she would put sugar in the tank of someones car and all types of threats. She paced up and down in the back as she said this and she had on a shirt that I assume was a manager shirt so me my pastor and children all left the store. I called popeyes and got the [protected] phone number to put in a complaint and I waited on hold for 30 minutes before I gave up. I tried to bring this to their attention since I am being ignored I am bringing it to the public's attention. No wonder why church's won the taste contest good ness with managers like that they will never succeed. I am appalled and very offended by the statements this lady was spinning out of her horrible mouth. Popeyes I want an apology now!

Whatever you do, make absolutely sure that when you finally make your way up to the Supreme Court with this outrageous miscarriage of justice, that you don't forget that very relevant detail that this women (sic) is not only black, but she also has dark skin!

You see, it adds oh, so much credibility to your Jerry Springer-esque tale of death threats and property damage.
