Today I called POF Customer Service and advised the first assistant I needed to cancel my subscription. He asked me if I was on a desktop. I said I have one nearby. He gave me a website to type in. A box came up wanting my name and a key code.
The POF assistant wanted to establish a remote connection to my computer. I told him that was not going to happen.
He then transferred me to his supervisor. The supervisor said I was due a refund of 100 dollars since I was quitting POF within 3 months. He told me to get a 50.00 pre paid CVS pharmacy card and give them the card number. They would charge 50.00 on it and refund 100.00 on my original credit card number. I told him this was nothing but a scam. I told him to keep the 100.00. These techs were Middle Eastern sounding males. Use caution with POF customer support by phone.

I had a profile Mvrockstar, email [protected]@yahoo.com. first part of July 2018 I bought a year upgrade. Don't know if I got hacked or what. Couldn't get back into it. I opened a new profile bigriverpilot123 email [protected]@gmail.com. I'm not upgraded on this profile but like I said on the other one I was and please move it to this one or get it were I can get back into my other profile. I'm writing to you to find out to why, over the last year, I have open three accounts on the dating site, to find hour after I've opened a new account, I can't get into it, I opened a recent account under the name of MrBGT, email address David.[protected]@mail.com, still four weeks on from opening the account I'm still unable to log in, could please tell me to why, I've opened three accounts with you now, to find I can't get into any of them .

I have been cut off by POF for several months for no reason whatsoever!
Even last year customer service reinstated me twice or it could be thrice, all that because I did complaint and then, their version that I did unsubscribe which is not true at all.
I haven't any matchmaking for a very long time.

**CLIFF NOTES VERSION: Stay away from POF, their security is sub-par and their customer service representatives are sketchy!**

Beginning yesterday, I was suddenly kick out of my POF profile. Despite numerous attempts to recover the password, I was informed that my email did not match a registered account. I called the customer service phone number - which took me almost two days to find due to POF not putting any customer support contact information on any of their sites - and was connected to an Indian call center. The call center representative, Barry Allen (not real name, I'm sure) was rude, condescending and suspicious. Rather than assisting me with resetting my password, he redirected me to two different sites not associated with POF and attempted to get me to enter personal information. When I asked him to explain what he was doing and why he wanted me to enter this information at these sites, he told me "because that's why I'm telling you to do". I requested to speak to a Manager or Supervisor and was told "No, no I will not forward you". I ended up deleting the app and will never be opening another POF profile again. Do yourself a favor and stick to dating sites with a better reputation.

Do not use this website or any others operated by match group, inc.! This company has, and continues to be, the subject of countless class action lawsuits in the u.S., canada, and all over europe. They have settled a shocking amount of lawsuits for committing fraud (i.E., fake profiles, fake messages, spam bots, fraudulent billing practices, lying about cancelling memberships, lying to consumers, etc.).

They insulate themselves from external contact so you are unable to complain. If you reach out to them online, you will immediately find that they will send you generic e-mails (i.E., "thank you for contacting us", "your feedback is important", etc.), but they will not assist you in any way with actual problems. They make it impossible to contact them in any other way - if you have any doubts about these statements, just try for yourself and see what happens.

Aside from class action lawsuits, consumers have gotten no responses regarding claims, requests for refunds, reports of fraud, etc. The only reason that any laws exist for this service are due to extensive class action lawsuits which they lost over and over; and the only laws that protect consumers from this company's fraudulent business model are in canada, europe, and states in the u.S. Where suits were already won. They have a legal policy of only protecting consumers in states and countries where they have been forced to by the courts and extensive legal settlements.

I have included links to various consumer websites, forums, and other public sounding boards that deal with fraud, deceptive business practices, and lawsuit information. Pay attention to the negative reviews and see how many positive reviews you can find out of thousands... You may be surprised at the stories, comments, and complaints that you find, and wonder how they still operate in the u.S. They even got caught using the profile of a deceased u.S. Soldier. This company is a disgrace, do not trust them or you will regret it. Don't just believe me, see what all of the other people who have reviewed them have to say and decide for yourself.

Here are just a few, out of many, consumer websites that have a stunning amount of negative reviews, complaints, requests for refunds, calls for further lawsuits, and so on; some are even exclusively negative, with no positive reviews whatsoever! I signed up for pof. I never gave pof my credit card information. I never requested any purchases yet you guys charged me TWICE for tokens I never wanted our asked for. I don't even go on this website anymore because its a joke. I want my money back in my account and you can go ahead and delete my account while your at it. You took my grocery money somehow without my consent, much less a password.

I received a strange and. Out of order message from a member.. It suggested I was some kind of prostitute.. I was absolutely mortified.. I messeged back.. No swear words, just told him it was unacceptable to send such messages.. This is getting more and more frequent. Your policy states.. No nudity, unbelievable. I've had at least 4/5 guys sending me messages with nudity in them.. I block them straight away.
I am absolutely furious as, I have been an on/off member for more than 4 years.
I am respectful.. I have no false pics, I am not rude to guys, yet I got a WARNING tonight for telling a guy.. I wasn't accepting his sexual type message..!
The amount of sexual messages I've had you couldn't make it up.
Also you must be loosing ALOT of members, and I understand why now, as youve put my search into 75 miles from my home postcode.. Ridiculous.. I don't want to meet a guy in Manchester or Glasgow.. That's why you have the bars of how far to search.. I would appreciate a decent reply ASAP. Shocked.

When you sign up for the free version, you will be barraged with emails informing you that this one and that one wants to meet you, viewed your profile, faved you, etc. They will tell you a user's specific name as well... but then you cannot look up the user by the name. But then, to see who the people are that faved, want to meet, viewed ya, etc, POF will tell you that it is required to buy a membership. I ain't losing my mind, I bought a membership and then suddenly, there were no one viewed me, no who wants to meet me people, no one faved me, etc. when i was trying to find dial numbers i got this scam number on Web [protected]

It seems that I keep getting deleted and I have no idea why. I've even made a few pages where I don't post a picture just to see if I get deleted and I do. I want to know why? I just want to meet new people and couples that wouldn't mind joining me and my significant other and I can't log into any of the accounts that I have made. I like pof but I will let my friends and those I know who uses the website that it has my flaws and issues about depleting people accounts for no reason unless this issues is resolved.

I have been on this site for over 4 months now, and before then on and off for a year. I have to say that I am disgusted by nearly every single one of the men I have been on dates with or have communicated with on your site. I never usually complain, but this has gone too far now.

I have to tell you that on Sunday 17th June 2018. I arranged to meet a bloke and I had the most awful experience where by he wanted me to follow him to an unknown destination to meet his friends, which I thought was very odd given I had only just met him, and he displayed very odd behaviour and was very persistent about me following him in my car. I was already vulnerable in the sense that I was unfamiliar with the chosen destination to meet, which was my fault I guess. I know I should not have agreed to follow him, but I was in the moment and I did. He reassured me that we would be at his local pub within 15 minutes, I was following him for 25 minutes, and I was getting more and more frightened as He took me on the M4, and I had no idea where I was. Eventually I had the sense to just turn off at the next roundabout. I was in a state because I had to get back to my children and he knew this. I told him I only had a couple of hours and I could not understand why he was asking me to follow him after just 15 minutes of meeting.
I ended up getting really lost and having to go into a a pub not knowing anyone, to ask for help, I was very upset. Having spoken to friends and various people I do believe that this situation could have ended up in a bad way. First date, desperately wanting me to follow him to meet his mates... it does not make sense. He also continued to call me to see where I had got to, and accused me of being unfair for not answering.

Needless to say I have blocked him and am coming off of the site.

There have been other incidents I have encountered, such as verbal abuse if I don't show my Boobs within the first 3 sentences of speaking, too many demands of wanting rude pictures, and getting sent pictures of mens privates, which quite frankly is disgusting.

There are also so many fake profiles on there, men saying they want a relationship, when they don't... they just want to get their leg over for one night... and I could go on and on.

I think what happened on Sunday really put things into perspective for me, I am a single hard working mum of two, and I really feel that my life could well have been jeopardised if I had not turned off when I did. He said some odd things to me like He was so glad he had met me, he also said that he was coming straight off of POF as soon as he got home. He wanted to come into my home this coming Friday which I thought was a little to pushy. He then invited himself to my house to cook... it was all so strange.

So I just wanted to let you know that there are some really quite nasty men on your site, and although I don't pay for any upgrades I think the people who use POF should be vetted more, as it seems to be full of liars and weirdos.
Unfortunately I have deleted all correspondence between him and myself as I did not want anything else to do with him, so I blocked and deleted him.
I am not expecting anything to be done, just wanted to vent and make you aware.

This is my third time to try to get a response to my dilemma' Hopefully have I have the correct complaint site. When I I called to upgrade to quarterly. the guy told me I had a virus after he went into my account. He told me to send him $199.99 to stop the virus...when I explained that I must talk with my daughter first, he gave me a number (which I tossed) ...He told me to call him, give my info so he could stop alleged virus, My daughter checked and of course I do not have virus. Then the guy charged me an annual fee (not my requested quarterly). I truly cannot afford the excess amount at this time. Because he had my information I also had to stop my debit card and buy another one for $10.00.
Until this happened, I have been recommending your site to other singles. I have had good response and met a couple nice guys. I've been a POF member for many years in an attempt to meet a decent person. Since Match Group has acquired POF, it has become unbearable with the huge amount of SEX Ads & Scammers! I constantly report them, but to no avail. POF does nothing to stop this, including not screening profiles for authenticity, content or indecent images! Why have a code of conduct if it is never enforced?!?

Hi I use the POF app and went to open it only to find I had been logged out so i went to log back in and said i forgot my password so I tried it and said it was incorrect so I then attempted to have it sent to my email, I waited and waited only for nothing to be sent so i tried this 3 times until i just decided to create a new profile. So I went through the sign up all over again only for the same thing to happen again I was logged out and no email was ever sent with a password. So then i waited a few days and signed up again did all questions added my pictures filled out my about me opened my welcome email from pof then I woke up the following day only for the same thing happening again...its like my profiles are deleted when I haven't broken any rules so it makes no sense. I'd like to know what the problem is wheres my profile? why does it keep being deleted for no reason?

i joined POF yesterday and could access the account ok
the moment i upgraded my account with a 3 month subscription it failed to let me access my account or access the site ..my money has been taken from my account .
can your sort this ASAP as the whole experience to this point is not satisfactory to put it mildly.

In recent days many man porno graphic profiles have been showing up with pictures of sexual acts when these are reported POF bans your account why?/ because Markus Frind is getting paid by these porno sites to allow them to be on pof POF bans men's accounts right and left for the simplest and stupidest of reasons yet women can use the f word and curse and say nasty thing POF IS DISCRIMINATORY TOWARDS MEN MY ACCOUNT WAS BANNED TO DAY FOR SIMPLY REPORTING A BLACK MAN WITH A WOMAN SUCKING ON HIS PRIVATE PARTS IT IS TIME TO TURN POF TO THE FBI And a class action law suite is in the works
