NTB (National Tire Battery) / poor customer service

I purchased 2 tires made by Faulken om 1/20/2008 and noticed that the the front wheels shacked after the tires were put on and balanced. I also had a car alignment preformed. I brought the car to the local Honda dealership a few weeks later and they thought that the tires were bad. I took the car back to the NTB store in Olathe KS and requested that they inspect the tires. The manager told me that they don't to Tire warranty work on the weekends and that I would have to come back during the week. He also said in a rude manner that if Honda messed with the tires in any way he wasn't going to do anything. I don't work by any NTB store so this makes it very hard to get a tire replaced from them without paying for a new one. My first caution is don't purchase the road hazard protection from them because it's almost worthless. They tried to charge me to fix the flat which should have been covered and then said that the tire did not have a leak, but two days later it was almost flat again. I called the store 3 months later on A Sunday afternoon to see if it was okay to come in for an alignment and tire balance. The service person that answered the phone said, " sure that was fine." I showed up at the store 20 minutes later and there was one customer in front of me that was getting new tires . It took about 10-15 minutes for the counter person to serve him. During that time two other customers joined the line behind me. Just before it was my turn to get served the Manager walked up to the counter person and said to him in a rude manner, " I don't want you to help that guy, tell him that we don't have any time. When the service person told me this the manager was still near by and I said to him, " t I called in and was told that it was okay to come in. The Manager yelled to me and said who did you talk too? I said the counter person. He said to me you need to call and speak to me, the Manager. He had a very mad look on his face at this point and looked like he might come at me for a moment. I started to walk out of the store and noticed that the counter person was helping the next person that was behind me. As I walked out of the manager was walked out behind me and was heading for another car. I mentioned to him one more time probably in a rude manner on how poor his customer service was he became very angry and I just walked away. I contacted NTB Customer Service on Monday Morning and informed them of the situation. They apologized for what happened but that did not make me fell much better. This is a new store and it appears that it sets a bad example for NTB as a whole. I will never purchase tires from NTB again because of what occurred at the Olathe KS Store.

    I used the NTB on 153rd in Olathe and got about the same kind of service. I made an appt. for Saturday understanding i was to be the first, and had a lengthy detailed conversation with the manager that i couldnt be there long due to work. I arrived on time, there was one shop person and the manager. The garage was full of cars, and two people in line, he recognized me from an earlier appt. and got my paperwork, 45 minutes later my car is still outside, i went to find him he was in front of the building, i said hey is my car gonna get in soon he said oh it's gonna be a while. So i refreshed him about our conversation, which he remembered but started to blame it all on somebody else for making too many appts well i was the first of the day so ????? how is that my problem. And they only had one service person, so if you've got that many appts. why only one person. And if there that busy why wouldn't he pitch in, the managers at the NTB stores must not work on cars, because this one never lifted a tool on either occassion I was there, he only talked to the employees and actually slowed them down. I caught them on a few occassions having non work conversations, away from the shop. Thats pretty professional. I would never go back to this store or any of it's affilitates. HELLO CUSTOMER SERVICE KEEPS EM COMING BACK.

    It seems I jumped the gun on my complaint, i assumed i was dealing with the manager, when in fact i wasn't. The manager called me and he was more than accomodating. His customer service was top notch, i should have waited before posting the complaint out of anger. I will definitely use this NTB location for all of my service needs. Once again Thanks NTB on 153rd in Olathe. You guys know how to take care of your customers.

    I really dont know, but I have just purchased a vehicle that had them as the service store. However, I must say that they really have done a baaaaad job. Is it for lack of technical expertise or just out of total disregard for clients? Well they say you are what you sell and they sell ###!!! NTB you really suck

    I called the NTB store in Lilburn, GA and asked for an appointment to get an oil change. The person who answered the phone did all they coudl to diswade me from bringing my vehicle in since it was the weekend. I called back and another person answered the phone. I asked if I could drop off my vehicle and have the oil changed. He said, "Yes that will be fine. Bring it on in." When I arrived I had to wait for a few minutes and realized that the person who came came out to help me was the "Service Manager" who tried to diswade me from coming in on the phone. When he took my information, he said < "I guess you know that you may not be able to get your vehilce back until we close or at least almost until then?" I said, "That is ok, I still need the oil change." You could tell by his attitude that he was not wanting to bring in any business, His attitude is terrible. I work in a service oriented business and if I had that kind of an attitude I wouldn't have a job long. They need another person for that position!!!

    Iwent todayto ntb and had a price of 360.10 for 2 tires oil change and radeator flush, then i need a battery, ok price was fair 140 instaled, then i need a top rad hose, ok he didnt give me a price, trucks done 650.00 hecharged me 40.00 for rad hose and 82.00 to put it on and i waited over 1 1/2 hour for the hose and it took 3 1/2 minnets to put it on i checked th price on the hose was 18dollars 120 dollars to put a hose on that took less time then it took to run my credit card am done ill never go back, EVER

    Poor service, incompetent mechanics and lots of lies. This place should be demolished and a McDonalds put on the property. Would not change my oil because I had an oil leak that has been repaired. Every thing they tell you is make believe. I was only service customer and only 2 old ladies with bargain oil change coupons from grocery store were in the business.
