Maytagscratched glass top

Purchased glasstop range MER8680BB. It was floor model. It looked to be in perfect condition. After only 7 weeks scratches began to show up on the glasstop. I spoke with customer service and I was told since it was a floor model and the issue is cosmetic, there is nothing they will do. She told me that often times the dealer will clean it up and put it out and after use the scratches will show up...there are more scratches showing up and this is with regular use. This is not the first glass top have owned..the Kenmore I had for 17 years with no scratches and I am using the same cookware. Obviously this is a junk top. Of course the appliance store denied that any such thing took place
