Katie Picco / Ripped off

This woman ripped me off when dealing with my wedding flowers. I paid her a lot of money up front and the day before the wedding i rang her to check that everything was in order. Having paid for Chocolate and cream colored balloons she informed me that she didn't have any chocolate balloons and was going to do gold ones instead. I then had to go and get the chocolate balloons for her to blow up as part of my table displays, she has refused to reimburse me even though I had already paid her to supply the balloons. I paid her £100 for chocolate colored chrystals to go in the bottom of the vases and again on the day before the wedding she informed me that she didn't have the chrystal and offered me two other options which I didn't like but had no option but to accept. She was over an hour late delivering the flowers on the day and had not supplied the right amount of buttonholes, it was too late to get any more because of her lateness, she lied about why she was late and when challenged about the 'accident' by someone who had taken the same route she backtracked on her story. The flowers were very poor quality and didn't last very long at all and when I went in to ask her for some money back she became very aggressive and threatening towards me. I have since spoken to a lot of people who have suffered very similar situations with her often with funeral flowers. She should not be allowed to stay in business.

    This woman has been ripping people off in Hemel Hempstead and surrounding towns for years now. Her attitude stinks and I think a boycot of her flower-shop (so called) in in order. She over charges for services that never get done or finished, she lies to her clients about why she is ALWAYS late for appointments, and the makes up all kinds of excuses. Our wedding was completely ruined by her and I would advise any bride to avoid this awful woman and her shoddy business practices.

    She is a vile creature! Horrible, aggresive and rude. Does not mind that there are children around. Revenge is sweet :-)

    She must be doing something right as she has been in business for over thirty years. I have brought flowers from her for over thirty years and have always been treated well by her and her staff. Perhaps its you who is the problem

    I worked for this so called florist for around 6 months (part time) and had to leave, I am a fully qualified florist and was appalled at her behavior towards her customers. Please be wary if using her, she barley keeps record of her customers orders, hence why so many get forgetten/neglected and her flowers are of poor quality. I am sickened that she has passed herself off as a florist because it is people like her who give florists a bad name.

    I couldnt disagree more! Katie and her team worked wonders for my Wedding and everything she did for us was perfecr. I also bought my dress, shoes and tiara from her and I did feel beautiful on my Wedding Day. All my bouquets, buttonholes, flower and balloon displays, and centre-pieces all looked amazing and everyone commented on how great they looked. She delivered everything on time and I always found her very friendly, polite and helpful. I have some wonderful photos of all her hard work for our Wedding and she could not have done a better job for us!

    Just had some flowers delivered (inter flora)
    They looked like they were leftovers from the bin!

    I had chair covers with lovely burgundy sashes
    Flowers were brilliant everyone loved them We had them hanging from the ceiling
    Pea lighting trees of flowers and candelabras
    and my wedding Gown was absolutely beautiful
    The service from start to finish was fantastic
    Katie and team were all brilliant I'm just so pleased that my sister is getting married this September so that we can all go back !!! Xxxxxxxx

    I can not thank Katie enough for my gorgeous flowers and stunning Ronald Joyce gown, Katie has a heart of gold and made my Wedding day the best day event. We had so many compliments about our flowers and I truly felt like a princess in my gown! Thank you again Katie xxx

    I am absolutely positive that the comment above beginning "WE HAVE JUST HAD THE MOST BEAUTIFUL CHRISTMAS WEDDING THANKS TO THE WEDDING CENTRE AND KATIE PICCO" is actually from Katie herself, pretending to be a bride leaving positive feedback. The way she words her emails is identical to this which rang alarm bells for me as soon as I read it. There are a few distinct things... A lack of full stops and correct sentence structure. Poor use of uppercase letters, ie. when beginning a new sentence and randomly the word 'gown' with a capital G! These are all things absolutely typical of Katie, along with the telltale long rows of kisses and triple exclamation marks, all of which can be seen in this fake review! It is an embarrassment! A very poor effort Picco...

    @Bride2014 OMG - She's then edited the fake review, changing all of the points I've called her up on. Could that then make it any more obvious?! Again, I'm so embarrassed at this lady's desperation and underhand behaviours.

    Katie Picco is a rip off merchant. she borrowed shoes from another nearby wedding company and sold the same shoes a minimum of £30 more expensive and well above RRP. I wanted a particular wedding gown, knowing the rrp and what it was, (due to be discontinued and knowing they had stock) I needed a local stockist. I ordered my gown, she ordered it in the wrong size, and didnt order it until 3-4 months AFTER i paid her the money and only a month before it was due to be collected in Feb2012 i got it in the June. I had called up the company she ordered it from to keep chasing as I had heard rumours about her. She was rude and verbally abusive over the phone. When trying the dress on she pulled the lace and broke 3 of the loops, and refused to fix them.

    She has appauling customer service, rude and agressive. I think if im honest some of the positive comments here either she or her friends have written to try and give a positive against the many negative reviews ive heard.

    Please lets get all the brides and customers she has ripped off and let down and make official complaints

    Well MummaBear1, how shallow of you to make an anonymous posting. Hiding behind anonymity. How would you like to have a posting like this made about you? You should have gone to trading standards. You are despicable.
