I ordered a patio umbrella on Hayneedle ahead of the summer sun hitting us. When summer did arrive I decided to open the new umbrella when we had guests over. To my utter surprise, I found a rope hammock!! I called Hayneedle and was asked to return the hammock and a sales effort to sell me another patio umbrella!! Nothing that would have made me feel that Hayneedle actually regretted the fact that I was not sent the product I had ordered!!
Someone like an Amazon on the other hand, not only sends you the product you actually ordered, if they make a mistake but also offer a discount or just ask you to keep the erroneous product or have a gesture that reflects that they do actually care for the customer experience.
Very frustrating and disappointing.
