General Motors cracked dash on my 2011 chevy avalanche

Recently heard a rattle in the dash and upon looking under the dash cover I found a crack from the front to back of the dash board.
I have since discovered on the internet this is a major complaint Chevy SUV / truck model since 2007.
Customer relations informed the the bumper to bumer warrenty had expired and it was up to me to cover the repair. Although I had seen cases that GM had covered some repairs in the past.
My Alanache has the protected dash cover and had been garaged. It appears that care I had taken delayed the GM defect until the warranty had expired. Now I being unfairly treated in the $1000 repair cost.
I would like GM to own up the to the well publicized defect and replace my Dash.
Thank You

General Motors gm does not stand behind their products

Rotors were corroded at just 22k miles! The dealer did all they could and gave me repairs at employee discount price, but pads were at 50 percent still and rotors were corroded and had gauges in them. they said they were considered wear and tear and gm would not warranty them. I paid for the repair and called GM corporate to file a complaint. They took my info and called me back saying "they were sorry but it's a wear and tear item! I guess all rotors corrode at 22k miles! That's not even enough miles where you're supposed to have them checked! GM does not stand behind their product. A nearly $60k high end vehicle with low grade cheap parts!. So now for $340 Gm has lost a customer. SO SAD! I am lucky i can just trade it in and buy a new ford or toyota for cash, which makes me feel bad for others not as fortunate. REF #8-[protected]

I have a 2015 Chevy Silverado with 40k on it . In September I had to replace a cracked discharge line to the tune of $483. GM told me sorry. This week it was back in the shop to repair a wheel speed sensor to the tune of $413!
Quality of parts is poor. Have owned chevys all my life. This will be my last. And they wonder why we buy foreign cars

I totally agree with you. I have had several problems with my 2004 GMC Envoy. Each time I have contacted GMC about the problem and part they told me they were sorry the part had to be replaced, but it wasn't anything to them. My late husband was Service Director for a Nissan Dealership and they always we're willing to help the customer with the cost of parts and labor on their product. This is my first experience with buying American and will be my last!

General Motors cracked catalytic converter housing

I have a 2014 Chevrolet Silverado. It has been a great vehicle until recently. It developed an exhaust leak in the Catalytic Converter Housing. I contacted the Feldman Chevrolet by phone, in mid March to ask if the Catalytic Converter is still covered under warranty, since the vehicle has 76, 000 miles on it. I was told by the individual that I spoke with that he wasn't sure, but would find out and call me back. A couple of weeks went by with no return call, so I called the Okemos Michigan dealership, which resulted in pretty much the same situation. Today, May 12, 2017, I called Sawyer Chevrolet. The individual I spoke with told me the same thing. The difference was, he asked me to hold and he would find out. He also was the first individual to ask about the vehicle, the VIN, the mileage, my name etc. He was very professional and friendly. Unfortuantely, he said, your emissions warranty expired 655 miles ago. I find this very disturbing. Had I not been put off, the stalled off, the problem would have been corrected by now... under warranty.

I feel that this should still be covered simply because of the situation that I just described.

General Motors dealership versus gm employment-not a complaint but seeking help?

I have been trying to locate the person(s) responsible for the sales bonus programs at GM and the relationship with not only a specific dealership but a specific employee. For some reason the investors on a particular type of mortgage loan refuse to recognize sales rewards as income, creating an issue for me, a loan officer, in completing my work. I would appreciate a discussion with the appropriate human resource person if I could find him or her.

General Motors 205 gmc yukon

Air conditioner stopped working and technicians stated it was a leaking hose that needed to be replaced. I paid for the repair on March 29, 2017, but not even two weeks later, the same issue occurred. At this point, the diagnosis was the condenser needed to be replaced. My vehicle has been at the dealership for three weeks and there is still no word on when the repairs will be made. I have been told that the part is in high demand with no manufacturer. I have been given three different loaner vehicles that do not compare to the Yukon. This has caused major disfunction as I have a sports family who travels a lot. I am requesting a full refund and a part recall. I can not go without my vehicle for much longer. I need it repaired and returned to me.

General Motors 2015 chevy tahoe

Purchase date April 2015 and Air goes out June of 2016. I was told by the dealership that there was nothing they could do. It was discovered my compressor and condenser were out. This malfunction is not due to driver wear and tear but instead faulty parts. I finally save enough money to get it fixed while making a generous car payment each month, and take it to my local dealership on May 9th 2017. On May 10th I receive a call from the service manager and was told the part is on back order due to heavy demand. He informed me it will be 4-6 weeks before the part will be in. He went on to tell me this is huge problem General Motors is dealing with. So much so a special assembly line has been created to help produce this part at a rapid rate to satisfy the huge demand. Every dealership I contacted has giving me the same answer. This is totally unfair to me and I should not have to go an entire summer with no air because General motors refuses to recall this product. I did not qualify for a rental car because my mileage was too high. My wife and I both commute to work and have no idea what we are going to do for 4-6 weeks. Internet bloc's are full of complaint about this problem with your Chevy Tahoe's and GMC Yukon's. I

General Motors recall notice

My 2008 Silverado 1500LTZ recently had the Fuel Control Module fail and I'm aware of recall 14515B but my VIN for some reason was not covered. The recall specifies [protected] vehicles and mine falls right in the middle of that. I had pointed that out to the service tech and he explained my pick up wasn't covered. I think it should be and I'm seeking reimbursement for the service at Heinrich Chevy dealer in Lockport NY. Customer #74468, invoice #377298 for $732.30.

General Motors chevrolet malibu 2016

I purchased this car in April 2016 since then I have had continuous problems with this car. Had it for two days engine light came on something about the pedals in the car. The weather stripping was separated from the car had to bring the car in more than once for that. Then I had an issue with the air conditioner. Then I had an issue with it raining in my car from the high mount light. Now I am in the dealership again with the engine light on and the car struggles to go past 20 miles an hour. I need to know what can be done about this this is taking time away from work because I am always at the dealership I believe this car was defective and the quality assurance department did not do an efficient job of checking this car before sending to the dealership

General Motors a service problem that even mechanics cannot resolve.

I own a 2008 Pontiac Montana SV6. Just after I purchased the vehicle, I experienced difficulty starting the engine (turn the ignition key with no results). I had it in at Mills/Pontiac, Oshawa and they informed me that it was 'a loose connection'. The vehicle served me well until recently when I started to experience the "same" problem. I have had two mechanics look into my problem with no results. If I wait 30 - 90 minutes, the vehicle decides that it will run and everything 'seems' okay but today I experienced the same difficulty. It occurred last Wednesday, May 3rd., 2017 on three different occasions and it is upsetting me to no end. I would appreciate someone contacting me to help resolve this dilemma with information as how to resolve my problem. Thank you for taking the time to read this email.

General Motors isuzu 2015 kb 250 dteq ectended cab only 50 000 km, clutch problem

Bought this vehicle on 45 000 km, with full service record. Previous owner used it, for long distance travelling, as I'm a REP, I'm using the vehicle on the same condition.

All of a sudden there is an shatter on the clutch..I phone Delta Frankfort Immediately, only to hear, that I'm reliable for any fixing needed on the clutch. After they said they will find out from GMSA, for a so called "good will" option, that they explained to me, its for vehicles with low km on.

Please come back to me, ASAP, as I'm definitely not gonna leave this case.

General Motors 2011 chevy cruze

I own a 2011 chevy cruze with 54000 miles on it and the ignition switch went bad on car. Causing car to completely shutdown while my daughter was driving it. She had no control of car due to steering wheel locking up causing her to almost loose her life! In all the years of owning a car I have never seen anything so unsafe! I believe there should be a recall on ignition switch and I feel general motors could at least send a new ignition switch that works properly to insure me that this will never happen again!

General Motors 2015 chevrolet malibu

I bought this Malibu new in September of 2015. In November of 2016 it took me 5 times before the motor would turn over. This happened several times over the next 3 months. I had it into the dealership--Bergstrom Chevrolet of Madison on Applegate Road in Madison a couple times and they could never find anything wrong. The last time I took it in on April 27th I was told I needed a new battery. I've never heard of a car 19 months old needing a new battery.
It cost me $285.00 for a new battery & diagnostic test. I missed a day of work on that day & another day when I brought it in to be checked a few hours that day (when they found nothing wrong with it). Never was a loaner car available.
I also had bought the extended warranty that I paid approx. $3, 000 for. The warranty didn't cover this issue.
I would like to be reimbursed for my time & the cost of the battery & test.

General Motors 2015 2500 hd

The passenger wheel fell off and the whole suspension came off, GM denied my warranty due to my torsion bars being adjusted. I've spoke with several mechanics at 2 dealerships and countless others who have never seen this happen befor. I'm done with GM forever. I've spent 200k on GM products and this is how I'm treated😡 I've spent 3 weeks at 2 dealerships and one person seems to be in disagreement, Jay Townsend, zone manager for GM. I've had 2 service managers agree this should be warrantied. I do not understand why I've been mistreated by this individual. The resonong doesn't make sense to anybody I speak with. My future purchases will be with Dodge or Ford.

General Motors 2016 silverado 2500 high country - customer service issues

We had purchased a 2016 Silverado 2500 High Country back in July, brand new. My husband took it for break issues and service end of January 2017, ever since we took it in the first time we cannot drive the truck more than 14 miles before the breaks start to burn and we have no more breaks. Our engine also seized after an oil change, and while GM replaced the motor, we are having continuous problems with the truck. We told them even if it is fixed, at this point we are interested in the trade assist program due to the car having so many issues, and we wanted to avoid filing a lemon law and suing them. They were talking with us at first about it, and now going on a month, we have heard nothing. GM's customer service will call my husband at 4:55-4:58 pm (so right before they close) and he will call back within a few minutes and get no answer. We call multiple times a day, no answer from our customer representatives David or Karen, and no information given to us. On top of it, not only are we paying on a $60, 000 vehicle, the dealer gives us a chevy cruz or mailbu...so we are paying for their lowest line cars while driving their top tuck. It is disappointing to say the least. I have never experienced this bad of customer service for anything, the lack of communication and regard for what we are going through is incredible. We loved our GM vehicles, but now we will be filing a lemon law since they are refusing to work with us, and will no longer be purchasing from GM. Such a disappointment

General Motors pcv valve replacement on a 2011 chevrolet cruze lt 1.4 turbo engine

I have a P0170, {0171} code car running lean and l was told that a defective PCV valve was the problem. When l looked under the hood l was surprised to see that the PCV valve is a physical part of the engine valve cover. That, of course, means taking off the valve cover and replacing a whole new valve cover/PCV plus getting the ignition coil pack out of the way. Why was this done? I'm no mechanic, but l can take my time and do the work myself as a new GM part comes complete with the cover, the gasket, and the bolts. Is 12-13 Torque pounds on the bolts sufficient?
ln future vehicles, can the PCV valve be mounted in a user friendly replaceable manner ?
Other than my little problem, l like the Cruze very much -styling, decent tires, comfortable ride, FABULOUS interior, especially the front dash-A real winner

General Motors general motors

I purchased a 2017 GMC Denali 3500hd 4x4 dually at the end of February. Since the first week of purchase I've been experiencing problems with the service engine light coming on. I took this vehicle back and forth to two different dealerships trying to resolve the issue in which all has failed. One of the dealerships was working exclusively with GM's engineers giving the dealerships tech specific instructions for testing and replacement parts in which has failed. The vehicle is currently at the dealer for the six time in less than two months. I am out of work because this vehicle is used to run my business and GM has not shown me an ounce of concern. I've been told that an GM duramax engineer will come to work exclusively on the vehicle but GM doesn't know when that time will come. I mentioned the S.C LEMON LAW to GM but has yet to get anywhere with them. The vehicle is not drivable and has been in the shop over 3x's but yet GM is not providing customer satisfaction as they so advertise. At this point GM doesn't stand firmly behind their products, intergrity or customer satisfaction. Not to mention they don't care that I'm out of work due to this vehicle.

General Motors service department - bob bell chevy baltimore (kane street)

I had my truck in the service department 4 times in the past 3 months complaining of a problem with the transmission. Each time, they have told us that there is nothing wrong with the transmission. Fast forward 4 months and the truck stops running on the side of the road 150 miles from our home. We had to have the truck towed to the nearest Chevy dealer and of course, it needs a new transmission (covered under power train warranty). Bob Bell was also supposed to service the recalls on our truck while they had it and they never did that either. We own a roofing company and I feel that this has caused us to lose serious money in our business as this problem could have been taken care of during the off season in the winter the first 4 times we took our truck to the service department. We also had to have our AC compressor replaced (not under warranty) so I asked Bob Bell Chevy to foot some or all of the bill for causing us to be without our work truck during the prime season, and they have offered to do nothing. We had all the work completed by the dealership in which our vehicle was towed (Weimer Chevy in Cumberland) . Bob Bell is such a disappointment to the GM name.

General Motors 2016 yukon xl denali

Vehicle was purchased new. It has 6011 miles and while driving Thursday April 20, 2017 on vacation thru Columbia, SC the sunroof suddenly exploded. A horrendous blast followed by glass falling onto myself and my wife, all while traveling 60 mph. I first thought that we were under attack by gunfire due to the incredibly loud explosion followed by the shower of glass. Amazingly, control of the vehicle was maintained. OnStar connected me to a GM dealer in Blufton, SC. I was instructed to arrive at Hilton Head Motors at 8:00 am Friday, the following morning. After one and a half hours I was told that everything checked out ok with the operation of the sunroof and therefore was not a warranty issue. I was told the sunroof could be ordered out of Michigan but would take 10 working days to get to the dealership. I have a huge hole in the roof, on vacation for 1 week and the best GM will do is tell me 10 working days to replace the sunroof? No offer to do anything since they deemed it not covered by warranty, even though they admitted they could not find any external cause for the sunroof to fail. After doing extensive research and speaking with a retired automotive design engineer, it is apparent that sunroof explosions occur due to the use of substandard glass produced under extreme pressure. I am appalled that GM will not do anything for a loyal customer. MSRP on this vehicle was $83, 000 plus and for probably a $200.00 part and correction of a clearly flawed sunroof seems to be a no brainier for this company. This is my 6th new GM vehicle purchased over 23 years. The most amazing fact is that a sunroof replacement company, Sunroofs Express, was able to order OEM sunroof, also from Michigan, have it priority shipped to Hilton Head, coordinate the install thru one of their 5000 nationwide dealers, H and H Auto Body, all by Monday, the next business day. Needless to say that after such poor customer service by GM, I will be sure to let everyone know thru social media that GM does not and will not stand behind their product. So BUYER BEWARE when purchasing from GM, you clearly DO NOT get what you pay for.

General Motors service at motor inn of knoxville ia

I took my vehicle in for service at motor inn of Knoxville Iowa, after refusing to do the specific repair I wanted, Chad Smith, the service advisor, attempted to make me accept unneeded service and became condescending. He then follows me to my vehicle swearing at me after I told him about the company's poor reputation, after I asked him if he had a problem, he and a salsesman said they would kick my ###, and then THEY called the police on me and said I was the problem.
