AutoNation Toyota Fort Myers Don't do business with Christian B

Don't do business with Christian B., the Customer Financial Service Manager at AutoNation Toyota Fort Myers. My uncle recently went in to buy a new 2020 Corolla for $25K. They appraised his Yaris for $10K and he put an extra $3K cash down. However, he later found out that he still owed $25K for the car. What happened to the $13K credit? My uncle tried to resolve the issue with Christian B., but he replied, "you already signed, theres nothing I can do". When my mother called him to find a solution, she got yelled at when she asked how much they paid for the 2020 Corolla. I hope people read this and warn others not to do business here. He took advantage of my uncle, who may not be the smartest person, but is very humble and hardworking.

AutoNation Toyota Fort Myers I red they're online ad featurin' a variety of cars for sale

I red they're online ad featurin' a variety of cars for sale. The one that caught my eye was the lead entry on the display. The ad mentioned to call prior to comin' in to verify they had the car usin' their specific reference number provided for each car on the ad. I did that and they confirmed they had the car. I drove a half hour to get their and waited 15 minutes to be helped by a rep in the lobby. After checkin' the lot I was informed they did not have the car. They said it was bein' worked on at a different location and should arrive later that day. It didn't. I called the next day and the next. Nothin'. Finally decided to shop somewhere else. 2 days after buyin' a car I received a text from the salesperson sayin' the car was now available. Really? What a farce.

AutoNation Toyota Fort Myers After my wife died, I sold her 2021 Venza back to AutoNation Toyota

After my wife died, I sold her 2021 Venza back to AutoNation Toyota. They agreed to pay off the loan and give me a check for the difference between the loan amount and the car's value. But, the check they gave me bounced! My bank said AutoNation's bank returned the check. My bank called AutoNation's bank and fixed it after a few days. No explanation was given for why the check was returned. I received a letter from Southeast Toyota Finance, expecting a check. Instead, they told me that my wife's auto loan account (which should have been closed) was overdue! I called Southeast Toyota Finance and they said the payoff check from AutoNation was returned! So, AutoNation Fort Myers still has my car (if it hasn't been sold) and Southeast Toyota Finance wants payment. My credit rating, which I worked hard to build, is being ruined.

AutoNation Toyota Fort Myers I traded in my 2018 Toyota Camry XSE on 11/30 for a 2022 Toyota Avalon Limited Hybrid

I traded in my 2018 Toyota Camry XSE on 11/30 for a 2022 Toyota Avalon Limited Hybrid. They said it would arrive on 12/17. But guess what? Today (12/15), I got an email from Nicholas S, Sales Associate Plus, Eqty Mng #XXXXXXXX saying he was off yesterday and just found out that my car got delayed by 45 days. Can you believe it? They blamed it on some transportation issues with their 3rd party transport company.

I already put down $2500 and signed a contract. When I made the deal on 11/30, they said it would only take 17 days to get here. Now they're telling me it's gonna be an extra 45 days, making it a total of 62 days to get my new car.

I think they're not happy with the deal we made, and now they're trying to back out of the contract. I even paid off the rest of my Camry and arranged to pay cash for the Avalon. Can someone please help me get my car?

AutoNation Toyota Fort Myers I got bad service from the service department at Autonation of Ft

I got bad service from the service department at Autonation of Ft. Myers, FL today on my new 2021 Camry XLE. Even though I had an appointment for an oil change, it still took the service department more than 2 hours to do a simple oil change. This is only my second time getting service here and the first appointment was bad too with the service department doing service on my vehicle without talking to me first.

Like many Toyota owners, I had to buy the Toyoguard Maintenance Program and the service department at Autonation Toyota in Ft. Myers, FL is awful. (Making customers buy maintenance programs should be against the law).

Besides the long wait time even for an appointment, the service department didn't even wash my car when they were done after I waited over 2 hours. Like I said, bad service. I want my money back for the oil changes and I will get my oil changed somewhere else.

AutoNation Toyota Fort Myers I had a service experience with Autonation Toyota

I had a service experience with Autonation Toyota. I found the staff at Autonation to be professional and efficient. Even though I went to the dealership years ago for an air bag recall, after reading the reviews here on ComplaintsBoard.com I was hesitant to go to Autonation. But because I had an urgent issue, and this dealership location was the most convenient, I gave them a try.

I had an issue with smoke and sparking coming from the dashboard near the bottom of the windshield, just to the right of center. This happened when I was driving on a Saturday night; I was able to get my Toyota Highlander to my home in South Fort Myers. I went online to get an appointment with Autonation and found there were appointments available on Monday morning.

I went to the dealership on Monday morning, where my appointment was honored and my vehicle was taken in right away. Dreading what I was worried may be an expensive out of warranty repair, I was happy that they were quickly able to recognize the problem as a problem with the windshield that was repaired by a local auto glass company.

AutoNation Toyota Fort Myers This place is a disgrace

This place is a disgrace. They've always been slow but don't advertise it, probably 'cause they don't wanna pay for rental cars. I made an appointment and when I got there, there must've been 20 people in the waiting room, lookin' exhausted. After 20 minutes and no one had acknowledged me, I had to go across the street for coffee 'cause they didn't have any in the waiting room like they said. Over an hour passed and still no meetin' with the service advisor for a routine oil change. I came back 'cause I had to get back to work and had only scheduled two hours like their website said. They really need to provide rental cars for more than that. Tried to talk to management 'bout my concerns, and they accused me of bein' hostile. Over the years, oil changes have never been quicker than two hours and they've never given the free cleaning they advertise on their website. There must've been 25 people workin' there (way more than the customers.) They literally didn't care when I said they lost my business. I don't have any idea how they have any customers at all.

AutoNation Toyota Fort Myers The people who work at AutoNation Toyota Fort Myers are so rude, it's unbelievable

The people who work at AutoNation Toyota Fort Myers are so rude, it's unbelievable. They act like you're bothering them by simply doing their job. I had my first scheduled service for my car and since I live far away, I decided to pass the time by having lunch and taking care of some business nearby. Before leaving the area, I called to check on the status of my car and save my chauffeur some time. The lady in the service department was incredibly rude and even hung up on me when I told her she didn't need to have an attitude. When I arrived at the dealership, I went to the service desk and was greeted by another rude woman who didn't even bother to look at me. She just pointed down the hall and said my advisor was there. I found my advisor Denise's office, but she had no idea who I was or anything about my car. She tried to send me away dismissively until another employee stepped in and found my car. They confirmed that Denise was indeed my advisor. The lack of professionalism and basic care is truly disgusting, especially considering that this is the dealership where I bought my car and spend a lot of money. It's ridiculous that this kind of behavior is allowed. On top of that, there are service guys who yell profanities while you drop off or pick up your car. This dealership and their service are trash. They really need to improve!

AutoNation Toyota Fort Myers I traded my vehicle into AutoNation in *** and bought a "used" 2022 vehicle located at AutoNation Fort Myers location

I traded my vehicle into AutoNation in *** and bought a "used" 2022 vehicle located at AutoNation Fort Myers location. The vehicle had been advertised from *the dealership'ssubmitted information, to have minor front end damage consisting of a scuff. By phone calls and photos, the dealership claimed the damage was repaired and "looks great and ready to go for purchase." The dealership intentionally (I have video of, what I was told was the General Manager) admitting to intentionally defrauding and actively deceiving customers used false information to report to Carfax, intentionally uploaded false photos of the car's condition, intentionally relayed false information between his AutoNation dealership and the AutoNation dealership in *** about the condition. The damage his dealership tried to cover up was a major front end collision, which he labeled all as a "scuff." The total "scuff" damage that was not disclosed on a "used" 2022 vehicle was: 2 broken headlights and headlight mounts, a bent hood, a broken grille, engine mounts at the fairing broken on BOTH sides, entire front bumper destroyed needing replacement AND the interior rear seat was COMPLETELY stained. All. Labeled. as. a. "Scuff." As well, as intentionally hidden with pictures of a pristine and new looking car, showing NO damage at all, as it was relayed to myself, my *** manager that the "scuff" had been repaired. He also refused to give me the dealership license number for reporting, I have video of this as well. I also have video of him yelling and saying that he "does this with every used car he brings in, I label all damage as scuffs and send them out of the door. Good luck saying otherwise." They only reversed the deal after I threatened legal action despite having a 5 day window. This transaction despite being reversed, still cost me out of pocket expenses, opportunity loss & legal fees.

AutoNation Toyota Fort Myers Our 2015 RAV 4 got serviced late last year, 2022

Our 2015 RAV 4 got serviced late last year, 2022. They did the brakes and put on new tires. On the way home, we noticed a weird noise when we hit the brakes. We called a couple of times in the following days and weeks to tell them about it. Their people said it was normal after getting new brakes and that it would go away after a few weeks. Strangely, the noise wasn't there the next two times I drove the car. Since it's just a spare car and doesn't get driven much, my wife probably didn't notice anything. But when I drove it, I heard strange clunking noises even when I wasn't braking, like when I went over manhole covers. Then, on February 25, 2023, I heard awful sounds when I turned a corner and terrible clunks when I hit a bump. I rolled down the windows to figure out where the noise was coming from. It was coming from the front driver's side. When I got home and looked at it, nothing seemed interesting. But when I checked the top of the brake caliper, I saw a piece sitting on my steering arm. And then I saw something that scared me. The caliper wasn't screwed in at the top or bottom. It was just hanging loose over the rotor. I went to the local auto parts store to tell them what happened and got some new screws. I put them in and saved my family from potential disaster. Your dealership doesn't prioritize safety in repairs. It scares me a lot. My family of four drove that car at high speeds for hours to go to soccer tournaments and stuff. YOU COULD HAVE KILLED US. If that brake caliper had shifted or tilted just right, it could have gotten stuck against the tire rim and locked up the driver's side tire while we were going full speed on the highway. We wouldn't have been around to complain about it. I definitely don't recommend getting service at this dealer.

AutoNation Toyota Fort Myers I went to AutoNation Toyota in Ft

I went to AutoNation Toyota in Ft. Myers on 1.20.2021. I bought a new car and agreed to pay $0 Down $420 p/month x 72 months financed through Toyota/World Omni. I said no to ALL products in the finance department with Keith C.. He said he had a "coupon". After a few minutes on the computer, he said he found a coupon that would save me $4 per month (from $420 to $416) and that it would "include" all the products. That's why I signed all the documents because he said it was included. At some point, he told me to check my address and that's when I noticed he had it wrong. He started printing new documents with corrections and asked me to verify the address, probably to distract me. Later, I found out he didn't correct the one for the lender (Capitol One), so I wouldn't receive any correspondence. I'm not exactly sure when the terms were changed, but I know Keith changed everything to benefit himself. Eventually, I got an invitation from Capitol One asking if I wanted to link my Auto loan with my other account with them, not World Omni. I was shocked when I saw that the payoff was about $5,000 more than what I agreed to with salesman Paul C.. Then I looked at my paperwork and realized I had been tricked into signing documents with an undisclosed term. Keith C. added 12 months to the term without telling me, along with the new amount. He manipulated the numbers electronically to match a similar payment amount ($420) and didn't mention that he was adding a whole year of payments. I immediately went to the dealership and Scott B. canceled the products and promised me a credit. It took Keith C. 4-6 minutes to increase the price of the vehicle by adding products I had previously declined. I feel really ashamed and humiliated writing about this incident. I'm embarrassed that I didn't catch it sooner and I hope something can be done to stop these bad business practices. Keith C. didn't provide full disclosure on the loan and manipulated data for personal gain. There still hasn't been a credit posted on the auto loan to this day.
Financial Services should disclose payments and terms. In this case, there was A) Failure to provide full disclosure & B) Electronic manipulation of data.
I talked to Capitol One to explain that the loan terms were changed without disclosure and they told me to go back to the dealership and redo the loan for the correct term. I went back to talk to the General Manager John C.. They didn't rewrite the loan because it would be "too much trouble". John and Scott couldn't give me a specific amount either. I contacted Toyota and spoke with Kia. This is where you complain about a dealership. She put me on hold and when she came back, she said Keith would call me with the figures by the end of the day. I never got a call from either of them.
It's 3.10.2021 and there still hasn't been a credit posted to the Capitol One account.
Unfortunately for me, this might lead to possible repossession because I haven't made a payment on this loan while waiting for Toyota to keep their promise. This loan was "designed" to benefit Toyota and its affiliates who let this happen as "business as usual".
I filed a complaint with the office of the Inspector General. I encourage all of us who have been victims of AutoNation Fort Myers Toyota's bad business practices to come forward and share your story to protect future customers. Don't stop here. There's also The Florida Office of Financial Regulation and the FTC, among other agencies, that are interested in investigating and stopping companies from taking advantage of their customers.
Also, look for consumer protection lawyers and interview them. Call the credit agencies to let them know. If the time I've spent on this prevents it from happening to the next person, then it *** have been worth it. I hope I can get some help somewhere.

Sincerely,
Senior Lady next door

AutoNation Toyota Fort Myers I purchased a 2016 BMW X3 on September 4, for $29,000

I purchased a 2016 BMW X3 on September 4, for $29,000. I was told at the time that the license and registration, which I paid for as part of the purchase, would arrive within 30 days. It has not, nor have I been able to reach any solution with the dealer. I've called multiple times and been assured that it would arrive overnight, etc., etc., and haven't received anything. I also contacted the dealer about an "optional" gap contract that was included on my contract, in the amount of $895, asking for that amount to be refunded since I didn't opt into that coverage. (I didn't receive a copy of my contract until a week after the purchase.) I have received no response regarding that issue, either. At this point I've been overcharged $895 and am driving a car that is in violation of the law because it isn't registered.

I purchased a used vehicle from Autonation Toyota Fort Myers on 11/20. I was offered the Vehicle Protection Plan, Vehicle Care Protection and Tire and Wheel Protection for a total of $4,2111.00. CFS Manager from Autonation said I could cancel at any time if I no longer wanted the Vehicle Protection Plan. I did purchase the vehicle with VPP. The VPP was a total of $4,2111.00 On November 26 I called CFS Manager to inform that I no longer want the VPP plan which he said he cannot process the paper work at that time. I called CFS Manager on November 29 did not answer, I left a message to call me back. Called again on December 13 no answer, I left a message asking what is the status on the cancelation of the Vehicle Protection Plan. On December 18 I wrote an email to CFS Manager and General Manager. hoping that General Manager could provide a better service and solve this issue. I have not received any response from either. I have called Autonation Toyota Fort Myers via phone on several occasions, all I get is a transfer to someone that will not answer their phone or my messages. I have also requested to talk to the General Manager but is always unavailable. I am requesting to cancel the Vehicle Protection Plan, Vehicle Care Protection and Tire and Wheel Protection and refund the remaining balance due as soon as possible (as agreed by the dealer).

On 3/4 I purchased a new car from this dealership. At the time of purchase I was up sold a bunch of services I did not need. We paid cash for the new car. When we left the paperwork we were told to sign was blank and that is still what we have , blank paperwork. After reviewing the additional warranties, I called 2 business days later and said I didn't want it, and wanted to cancel it. After numerous calls, I received emailed paperwork of what ,I wanted to cancel. There was 4 items I had requested so I tried to talk to someone about this. My calls were screened and t9ld the guy was busy etc. Finally on 3/25 The paperwork was submitted and I was told my refund would 2 to 7 weeks. Beyond that I have not gotten license plates transferred for this new car. I finally got out of someone the paperwork had not even been submitted to my home state of Illinois till the 30, or 31- of this month. The temporary plates I was given has expired and I now have no valid plates on my vehicle. Why would it take almost 4 weeks to file paperwork for a new car purchased for cash?

AutoNation Toyota Fort Myers Purchased Vehicle protection Plan from AutoNation 6/30 for a 2018 Toyota Prius & traded that car for a 2020 Toyota Rav4 on 6/18

Purchased Vehicle protection Plan from AutoNation 6/30 for a 2018 Toyota Prius & traded that car for a 2020 Toyota Rav4 on 6/18. No refund yet. After the trade in of the Prius I submitted all requested paperwork to Scott B. at AutoNation (XXX-XXX-XXXX) on 6/18. The reference # for the refund request is RITMXXXXXXX. I have made several phone calls B. & AutoNation's shared service center XXX-XXX-XXXX. They indicated that a long delay will occur for a refund to be completed. As of today I have waited 60+ days for a refund. This is in contrast to a refund request to the Naples Cadillac dealership. The refunded for that auto occurred within 2 weeks. I would like to apply the Prius refund to our new car loan leaving the loan balance and interest higher than it should be. AutoNation needs to speed up their pocessing of refunds. Not fair for consumers to had to wait for more than 60 days for a refund. Maybe more staff is needed to process these requests.

On Feb 8th,I left Auto Nation Toyota after bringing the car in for a recall involving a problem that causes a fire in the engine compartment. After more than an hour I was called and told they did not have the parts and would have to order them and it was suggested that I buy a new battery. The car has 14000.miles on it and was only serviced by Toyota. I feel that they caused the problem originally and should replace the battery to insure that I have a safe auto

I used auto nation online to receive a quote for the purchase of my vehicle. I filled out the form honestly and received from them a quote for 16,500 for my vehicle. Later I received an updated offer from them for $17000 Which was to expire in five days from that date. The information indicated that if I came in with my vehicle for an on site inspection there was a good chance the offer could be higher. I traveled to their location and the offer dropped to $14,500 so it was a total scan to get me there and take my personal information. My vehicle is in great shape with no issues as I had indicated. They said they didn't have to honor the quote because the offer expired which was not true either

AutoNation Toyota Fort Myers I purchased a Rave 4 XLE in Sept 2020, while driving home from work on May 17th , I got a flat tire and tried to take the flat tire off as there

I purchased a Rave 4 XLE in Sept 2020, while driving home from work on May 17th , I got a flat tire and tried to take the flat tire off as there was no key or tool to take the locking wheel lug nut off , I called Venice Toyota along with Fort Myers , while sitting on the side of the road to see where the tool could be. I was told by the spare tire, I explained I didn't have one, After trying for an hour to get in touch with someone I called Triple A , the wait time was three hours to get help. I finally got towed home and the next day , I called Toyota( Fort Myers) to get help with getting a key to get the tire fixed, Toyota ( Fort Myers ) played ping pong with me against Venice ( Toyota ) saying take it there to Venice as Venice would take the locking lug nut off but what am I doing driving down the road with no other lug nut and if Venice put it back on how am I getting it off to change the tire on the flat is fixed . I called several times to Venice and Fort Myers to get help .

AutoNation Toyota Fort Myers We bought a used car from this autonation in 11

We bought a used car from this autonation in 11. We bought gap coverage at the time but decided to pay off the car loan quickly (by January ). We were told that the cancellation of gap coverage would be automatic and that we would receive a refund on the remainder in the mail. We waited for 4 months without receiving any word from Toyota, then went to the dealership. After 3 visits to the dealership due to lack of availability of a finance manager, someone finally filed a cancellation request (5/1). He said the refund could take up to 4 months. We received no mail or phonecall and returned to the dealership in September. They said they had no record of cancellation and apologized, stating that they would contact the financial department to resolve the situation. We received multiple reassurances and the cancellation was resubmitted. The experience has been extremely tedious, with the dealership strategy seeming to be avoidance and deferral. In the last conversation with yet another finance manager, I was asked to email him with the previous paperwork, saying there was no way to look up the previous cancellation request. This has been nearly a year of going back and forth to resolve this situation, with no end in sight.

I purchased a new 2020 car back in September. Keith in finance signed me up for extra protections that I decided I didn't want. A week later I went in and asked Keith to cancel the VPP in the amount of 3816.00 The safeguard in the amount of 359.00 and the dentguard in the amount of 651.00 for a total of 4826.00. It is now February and this amount has not been removed from my loan total. In the meantime I believe I am still paying interest on this added amount.

I never received the license plate for the vehicle Very poor follow up. I purchased my vehicle in cash on 2/11. They gave me a temporary plate for 20 days and said they would call me when they received the plate. 19 days later I called them and they did not know where the license plate was and had to give me another 20 day plate. When I send an e-mail to Lisa C.(sales person) she just forwards it to Brandon W. (Business Manager) and nobody will get back to me. It has been 53 days and I still do not have a plate

Purchased a vehicle for cash online. Wired money. Was told the vehicle would be delivered to my address in Pennsylvania with a full tank of gas and all of the title transfer and vehicle registration paperwork in the glove box. I received the vehicle 7 days ago with ZERO gas (almost didn't make it to the station to fill up) and ZERO paperwork. I am not able to register or have the vehicle state inspected to make it road legal. Emails to sales reps at the dealership were not answered withing 24+ hours. No assistance thus far despite paying over $900 in "Paperwork processing fees" that were added to the sale price.

AutoNation Toyota Fort Myers I came to trade in vehicle, and pay the rest of balance for new vehicle with cash

I came to trade in vehicle, and pay the rest of balance for new vehicle with cash. I nagotiated remaining sale price with 2 male employees to $19,000. They told me to apply for financing due to financial benefit( a lie) even if I want to just pay out my car. Next day, I came to Keith C.,finance employee, who went over extra perks included, then I put my signature electronically, then he providedd envelope and I went home. The due amount was now $26000. I immediately contacted dealer and I met with Mr. C. and put my preliminary signature to cancel extra warranties( that dealer piled up without any previous explanations or my knowledge) and he says he will call me on 11/23 to finalize this. He never called! My emails to sales person ended in promise Keith will call. He never did! In meantime, SETF was waiting for my payment, while I was waiting for corrected amount to do payout and be done with this all. After more than 2 months, Keith's supervisor Scott helped me. In meantime interest accumulates and I was FORCED to make a payment, because I was pass due, while waiting for corrections to be made. I never wanted financing, I never wanted payments. I was lured into this web of lies, interests, payments, extra warranties. I am still waiting.

AutoNation Toyota Fort Myers Ignored our pre-approved application and ran to 8 creditors lowering our credit score 120 to pad their warranty sales commission Absolutely no

Ignored our pre-approved application and ran to 8 creditors lowering our credit score 120 to pad their warranty sales commission Absolutely no way. Scammers! Don't agree to a warranty or their financing. I got 8 hard inquiries on our credit report because even though we were pre-approved by Capitol One, we were sold a warranty and somehow ended up with "a better deal with the warranty" with another bank and 12 months more in payments. To boot, the financial guy, Bill, waited until my husband was at the coffee machine, away from me, to make this offer. Yeah, great way to be sneaky and pad your commission! Now after our 7 day return period, we get all these rejection letters from all these different banks and find out our credit score has dropped 120 points. Way to go, screw up not only our chance to cancel, but ruin our credit so we can't get anything else and are stuck with this. And within days, sure enough, wouldn't you know some big problem comes up that isn't covered by warranty and costs $700+ to fix. This told after car is there 3 hours and is still apart. As my husband was on the phone, I said "absolutely not!"We will have the work done elsewhere. Long story short, the part is not $168 , but $48 on Rock Auto, and the three hours of labor was complete in 7 minutes on youtube. Smoke and mirrors, lies and deception every step of the way, in every department we dealt with. Anyone with similar experiences, don't hesitate to contact me.

AutoNation Toyota Fort Myers I purchased a new 2020 Toyota 4Runner in January and am having paint issues

I purchased a new 2020 Toyota 4Runner in January and am having paint issues. I purchased a new 4Runner Venture on January the 24th and have had it about 9 months. They were selling it for about $46k. Around June I started to see the paint chipping and scratching. The vehicle only had 2551 miles on it.I took it in and they buffed a few minor scratches out. I then started to see more and more. I took it back several times because of the history of Super White is documented through years as having issues with peeling. They told me to go through Toyotas headquarters. I got no satisfaction and the dealership finally said they weren't going to do anything. I even have an appearance package that I purchased separately that doesn't cover it. I have been to outside body shops and they all say they arent rock chips as Toyota claims, but the paint job is bad. Today I had the paint tested at Autonation and they claim there isn't anything wrong. A friend has a Limited leased new in May in the Pearl color with similar issues. These have historically been the two bad paints if you research the internet. Ive even had one of their employees tell me they traded a truck back because their paint was coming off in car washes. Im at a standstill with them. I either want it painted properly, a new vehicle, or all money back including payments made. I'll be submitting paperwork to the Attorney General of Florida on Thursday. I know how that system works with arbitration and so on from there.

AutoNation Toyota Fort Myers On February 17, 2022 I went to AutoNation Toyota in Fort Myers to purchase a vehicle

On February 17, 2022 I went to AutoNation Toyota in Fort Myers to purchase a vehicle. I signed the papers to buy a vehicle that was in transit. I put a down payment of $2500.00 to hold the vehicle for me. At the time I told the salesperson that the sale would be cancelled if I didn't get what I wanted for my vehicle that I was trading in. They would not appraise the trade in until Seven days or Five hundred miles from when the new vehicle arrived at the dealership. The salesman told me that the deposit would be refunded if I didn't get the trade in money amount that I wanted. I went to the dealership five days before the vehicle was to arrive. The appraisal was done and I was not please with the monetary amount offered. I told the salesperson to cancel my order and return my $2500.00 deposit. The salesman went to check on getting my refund. He told me " there was no one to put the credit through that day and I would receive the credit it 24 to 48 hours ". On the second day of my waiting I check my credit card close out date and it was on that second day. I called my Credit Card company and put in a dispute to assure that I didn't have to pay the $2500.00 from the deposit. I went back to the dealership a week later to talk with the salesperson and they assured me I would be getting my money refunded. This was on Sunday March 27, 2022. It is now April 6, 2022 and the money hasn't been refunded. The way that this situation has been handled by AutoNation Toyota of Fort Myers is a disgrace. This is what customer service is not about in my mind.

AutoNation Toyota Fort Myers We purchased a Mercedes E350 convertible from AutoNation Fort Myers on Nov

We purchased a Mercedes E350 convertible from AutoNation Fort Myers on Nov. 18th, 2020, for approx. $28k. The dealership deceived us repeatedly. We looked at a 2014 Mercedes Benz convertible at AutoNation Fort Myers, and the dealership promised they would fix a few small items on the car prior to us taking delivery of the car if we purchased it. (Some small chips on the front end of the car, a blemish on the front bumper, and scrapes on the front wheels.) The car was approx. $28,000. The salesman, McCartney F., encouraged us to put a deposit on the car so that we'd "get moved to the front of the line" for the repairs. We agreed to purchase the car and put a deposit on it, but when we arrived at the dealership one week later, none of the repairs had been made, even though we had been told on the phone that the car was "ready to go." We agreed to move forward with the purchase, approx. $28,000, with the understanding that we'd return the car to the dealership on November 23rd, and have it back 2 days later, on or before Thanksgiving, for a trip we had planned. The repairs should have taken 2-3 days at the most. The dealership has had the car for over 2 weeks now. It's been one excuse after another. On November 30th, I told the rep that we wanted to pick up the car whether it was finished or not, to which he agreed. When I texted him that we were leaving for the dealership, he responded that the body shop had just removed the front bumper, and it was being primed and painted, so we couldn't pick it up. Five days later, my wife and I went to the service department to check on it, and a manager with whom we spoke said the car had not been there for any work, nor was there a record of any work requested. We haven't heard from the salesman for over a week, nor from his manager, Jeff Y., that we left messages for last Thursday. They have our money, and our car, and refuse to return either.

AutoNation Toyota Fort Myers 4/23 We went to Auto Nation Toyota to fix a leak in the transmission on 2005 Toyota Sequoia

4/23 We went to Auto Nation Toyota to fix a leak in the transmission on 2005 Toyota Sequoia. I explained that the leak is causing the transmission to vibrate because of the loss of transmission fluid. They charged us $2237 for supposedly fixing the problem, but the problem still existed after I took the car home. I then called them and told them that the problem was not fixed. They then instructed me to return the car to them. I also had to rent a car for 1 day the first time they made repairs ($40), and also rented a car to return the car to them the second time for 2 days ($80). After returning the car the 2nd time, they called us 2 days later and explained I needed a new transmission or suggested we purchase a new car from them. I took the car in to Lee County Transmission for a second opinion. They diagnosed the problem within 5 minutes of being there, which was a hose leak that's directly connected to the transmission. The cost of the repair was $106.50. The problem was fixed and I did not need a new transmission or a new car. I was very upset that Auto Nation Toyota (the manufacturer of the car) did not fix the problem and charged us $2237, and tried to get us to replace the transmission for $6000. I immediately - after the hose was replaced - went back to Toyota and requested to speak to the general manager, *** K., and complained to him that I was unfairly treated and charged for unnecessary repairs and incorrectly diagnosed with needing a new transmission. I requested a refund of the money spent. He said that he would look into it and get back to me, which he never did until I called around trying to find the Toyota Regional Office to report this. He then called and offered a "credit" towards future repairs in the amount of the hose repair done for $106.50. I truly believe some of those repairs done for $2237 were not necessary because they did not correct the problem. I have not had any issues since the hose was replaced.

AutoNation Toyota Fort Myers They added additional warranties without my knowledge

They added additional warranties without my knowledge. Agreed to remove them but have only returned a partial amount after waiting several months. Purchased the 2020 Corolla Hatchback car in 2/12. Agreed on a price including to cars in trade on scrap paper. Later all paper work took place on a small tablet. Signing space show as the flip through page explaining as he went along. The card says Frank S.. Never saw the paper invoice until the nexr day when I opened the glove box to look at it and noticed they added three warranty programs that said I did not want. Went to the dealer that morning to request they be removed. After much arguing the agent either Mr. R. or Mr. M. agreed to remove all three. I signed the three documents requesting the removal but was told I would receive copies in the mail from the corporate office. They never came. I called every week asking when I would receive my refund and was advisd that it *** take at least 8 weeks and that the money would be not come to me but credited to my Toyota loan. When the three weeks were up again was told the check is being held up at coroprate. I then filed a complain with Visa for the amounts. $3293.00, $699.00, $529.00 plus taxes applied the charges. Three weeks later $3490.58 was credited to my loan. I refiled a complain with Visa but they say I timed out with them and they can no longer help. Now I seek your help to obtain the remaining amount owed me by Toyota. At least this proves that I did in fact request removal of the additional charges. Why else would they be refunding money to me. I should have been suspicious when I asked for a copy of the invoice to take to my bank for the loan they suddenly agreed to match my banks interest rate. When they said the best Toyota could do was 3.5. My bank was 2.9. It was another lie because I later read on the web about Toyota was offering 2.9 for loans all along. I got played, using that tablet was the gimmick. Getting me to sign it to use to transfer to the invoice I never saw at the dealers. This is not a rare occurrence my lady friend suffered experience at a Nissan dealer months before. Assume old people are the targets to this practice.

AutoNation Toyota Fort Myers AutoNation Toyota is tricking its customers into services that are not needed

AutoNation Toyota is tricking its customers into services that are not needed. Subject: Scam of Services from AutoNation Toyota Dealer to its Customers On September 27 I was called by Toyota dealer AutoNation Fort Myers to bring my Toyota Camry 2018 to replace the Low Pressure Fuel Pump parts (re-call). As the car was going to be inspected, I asked the clerk that if the mechanic could check my car's gas pedal because it was tough to push down. The clerk mentioned that maybe the reason was because the Throttle Body needed a cleaning service and added that it not only would help with my car's pedal but also would improve my gasoline miles. He kept saying that my car was three years old with accumulated 18,000 miles and that it was time for my car to get that service, so I trusted the clerk and approved the service. As soon I got at home I checked on the Internet to learn about Throttle Body Cleaning and found on different websites (Mobil.com, Thedrive.com, autoblog.com, testingautos.com, etc.), that the throttle body cleaning is only recommended for cars that have accumulated more than 60,000 miles. So, the next Monday I went back to the dealer and told them that I felt taken advantage of with the Throttle Body Cleaning Service and wanted my $155.64 dollars back. They refused to refund my money. I asked them to show me where in the Toyota Owner Maintenance Guide Book stated that cars with 18,000 miles needed a Throttle Body Cleaning. They couldn't find anything about it on the Toyota Owner books. Instead, they showed me their AutoNation's policy stating that all cars with 15,000 miles and over needed the Throttle Body Cleaning as preventive Maintenance. The next day, I went back to the dealer and talked with the General Manager, who then called a Service Manager. They both told me that BG, a lubricant distributor, recommends that all the cars with 15,000 miles or more should have the Throttle Body Cleaning Service. I told them that Autonation and BG recommend Throttle Body Cleaning on 15,000 miles because it is good for their business but not good for the customers because it is not needed. I feel that I have been taken advantage of and my research indicates the same. So, the reason that I'm writing this letter is to see if you can help in some way. Thanks.

AutoNation Toyota Fort Myers Purchased a 2021 Corolla SE Nightshade for little over 20,000 and received no floor mats

Purchased a 2021 Corolla SE Nightshade for little over 20,000 and received no floor mats . Dealer refused to supply them and admitted they knew . Purchased a 2021 Corolla SE NightShade in 12/16 From Brie (salesperson) at Autonation Fort Myers ! Me and my father who is a retired Army veteran went half on a new car to use for his dr appts and errands . Worked a deal from home and had to wait two days as the Sales lady was off the next day . Asked her to please have car ready when we arrived as my father was old and had dr appts . She ran around wasting people's time for over three hours before we were finally able to leave . There was a paper floor mat protector on the floor board and once we were home I removed it . To a great surprise there were no floor mats anywhere in the car . I contacted Brie who sold me the car . She stated the car doesn't come with mats ! Then she goes on to to say none of the corollas came with them . Then goes further to say she tried to get some for a different customer earlier and they are all on back order . So she admitted she knew there were no mats for the car but then said I can let you know when they come in . I asked are you charging me or do I get the ones that are supposed to come with the car . She Informs me I now have to pay for them . I have purchased three brand new Toyota's in last two years and have to say this is the worst dealership and salesperson I have ever dealt with . The sales lady "Brie" was deceitful and purposely withheld the fact that she knew they did t have the mats in stock or so she says but never seen a 2021 or any other new Toyota come without mats and then have the dealer try to sell you them when they arrive . We were cheated and lied to by this person . Worst experience with a salesperson and dealer to date . Amazing she could say she knew but didn't say a word . Must have been really hard when they laid a piece of paper over the empty floor to hide the fact there none in the car . My fatter is bet and put down half the money as it will be used for all the dr appts at the VA hospital and his errands . He's 90 as of last month and I don't have the heart to tell him we were scammed by "Brie" at the autonation dealership ! Anybody honestly believe her when she says the Corolla SE doesn't come with floor mats ? Feeling deceived and received u professional service from her and autonation . Clearly says in pic corolla see comes with. Mats ! Deception at its finest and sales at its worst ! Horrible experience and please avoid the saleslady "Brie" and autonation. All together . Gettell toyota in Punta fords neve tried to do this on two previous purchases . Avoid Autonation at all costs , best advice I can give as a three time new car purchaser of Toyota cars . First and last dollar I will ever spend at autonation Toyota fort myers ! Wow ! Amazing she is trying To not give floor mats with a 2021 purchase ! Disgusting attitude to go with it ! She was horrible !

AutoNation Toyota Fort Myers AutoNationToyotaFt MyersFL did oil change on my 2020 Sienna, then the engine light came on, the oil had leaked out, due to faulty filter

AutoNationToyotaFt MyersFL did oil change on my 2020 Sienna, then the engine light came on, the oil had leaked out, due to faulty filter installation. While on vacation, I took my Toyota Sienna in for it's 1st oil change to AutoNation Toyota Ft Myers on 3/3. That afternoon, I picked-up the car & drove it back to Sanibel Island, where we were staying. That evening, we starting driving to dinner, & the engine light came on, stating we were low/out of oil. We immediately stopped & called AutoNation. They would not help us, stating they were closing in about 1 hour. They instructed us to call the 800 Toyota Service. Under the car, we could see the oil leaking. We called 800 Toyota & then waited 5 hours for their tow truck. We were stranded, taxi services were closed. We had not had dinner. We had to rely on total strangers to get us back to our condo at 11:30pm not a safe thing for 4 women to do. The car was serviced & returned later the next day. There was no offer to do anything for our inconvenience, duress, or their MISTAKE. This took place on Tue & Wed, day 3 & 4 of our vacation. The rest of the week, we were all very concerned about driving, so we limited it, putting a big damper on our vacation. We also worried about our drive home to Ohio, after this serious filter install error. On 3/21, I wrote AutoNation Toyota Ft Myers a letter with copies of the expenses I incurred because of their mistake. As of today, I have not received a response, and have not received reimbursement for my expenses, or received any compensation for the duress, inconvenience & unsafe situation that they put us (myself, my 87 year old mother, sister & niece) in. We are self-employed & work long hours...this incident ruined our vacation week. Due to Covid, I have given them more than enough time to respond, almost 7 months. I have called them numerous times, with no response. This dealership has treated us - women & out-of-towners very badly. Do they do that to other women & tourists? When I got home to Ohio, I had the additional inconvenience of scheduling & paying for my Toyota Dealership to inspect my vehicle, to make sure there was no permanent damage to my new (5 month old) car. My dealership said that they would have definitely followed up with me, responded to my letter, my concerns & also compensated us. They also told me that AutoNation Toyota did not clean up all the oil that leaked out in the area & there was alot of oil & mess, so they cleaned it up. The total amount is $612.31 ($86.63 oil change, $80 Tow fee, $6 Sanibel Bridge Fee/SunPass, $139.68 Toyota inspection, & a meager $300 for the missed dinner/duress/unsafe situation/& their mistake). In addition, I will say that this dealership is HUGE, and 7 different people handled my car check-in & pick-up alone. That's not typical here in Ohio, one person is assigned to check-in/pick-up & 1 mechanic to do the oil change... for a total of 2 people. So perhaps they are too big to provide good service or take care of their customers, or prevent/follow up with their mistakes. FYI...My letter was addressed to the General Mgr-Michael S., he did not respond. I called & left messages for Tom Cresta/K., Service Mgr, as he was never available. I also left messages with other people in the Service Dept. Recently, I got an email reminder that I had a service coming up at AutoNation Toyota, I responded to that email stating that I was waiting for a response from my previous service, & soon received an email stating my upcoming service was cancelled, but they still did not address the mistake. Again, this is a huge dealership. They made a serious mistake and they have not been accountable for that mistake & the expenses I incurred due to that mistake. My complaint is valid & they need to pay this amount. While it may be a small thing to them, it is certainly not to me. I work very hard for my money & to buy a new car, & to have this happen is unacceptable. If you should need copies of the 3/21 letter & my receipts, I will be happy to provide them. AutoNation Toyota was send receipt copies with my 3/21 letter. Thank you.
