Frigidaire refrigerator

I purchased a Frigidaire refrigerator (model LFTR2032TF) that has required multiple repair calls on the new appliance. The same problem, where the bottom refrigerator part stops cooling, keeps occurring. The temperature is about 60 degrees or higher. Various new parts have been installed in the appliance with the repair lasting less than a month. I need a working refrigerator.

I feel your Pain See Below what I have been through with Frigidaire

Can you at least forward the attached Pictures over to Mcglaughlins Service, Hoping that maybe someone for Mcglaughlins is smart enough to determine a suspected part that could resolve this issue. As I mentioned
several times I have missed 4 days of work and now what looks to be another 2 Days. Feb. 12th PM would be a Good Day because I am already off for a Doctors appointment in the am.

My last correspondence I sent on Jan 29th with Pictures of how the Ice Maker was making ice and again I resent on the 30th because your reply from the email on the 29th mentioned nothing
about the Pictures I sent and next steps ? I have re attached the Pictures please forward to your Tech support on a cause and repair solution. Also Could you forward this to Valerie Money.
She had left me a Voice Mail to ask how the Repair went on January 28th as you can see from the Pictures something is still not right. I had mentioned this to the technician at two of his visits.

Jan 29th Email with Pictures Attached (No Comment from Frigidaire)
Received a voice message asking about the repair. (Valerie Money)They replaced the Fan. Too early to tell 100% if the repair was successful.
The fan was replaced yesterday. This is the second fan replace since early December. See attached pictures on how it’s making ice. Brought this up to technician twice this was also issue.
This is not how it should be making ice.

Bought Last Spring. Broke down Late November early December. Took over 8 Days to have repaired . Broke down again Christmas Eve again. Over 23 Days and still not repaired. Think it’s time Frigidaire step up to the plate and replace refrigerator. Don’t recommend anyone to purchase Frigidaire Products. Days lost at work exceeded what I paid for refrigerator and still need to lose more time from work because it’s still broken. Frigidaire should at least extend the Warranty on this product at no cost instead of sending me notices to purchase extended warranties. Not a happy customer. Very inconvenient not having a refrigerator over 2 months.

Update on Poor Customer Service / Relations: Since Late November Early December I have been with out a refrigerator for Over 33 Days. First Repair it took over 8 days to repair. A week or so later it broke again and took 20 Days for a Service Tech to show up and Look at. Parts needed to be ordered, 6 days before service center received part but its going to take another 12 days before they can send someone out to replace part. Frigidaire need's to step up to plate and make things right and replace the refrigerator and have delivered from a local appliance store which could have me up and running in a day. All They have to offer is extend the warranty for 6 months maybe a $20 Value. I missed 3 days work plus will need to miss another day in 12 days again. I would not even rate Frigidaire a star but you have to put something their in order to submit a review. Looking at their extended warranties 3 year full coverage extended warranty is listed at $103.00 and all they offer me is 6 months for the loss in pay for having to take off and inconvenience of being with out a refrigerator for so long. Don't recommend anyone to do Business with Frigidaire.

Frigidaire microwave

My husband and I bought a new house in June of 2017. All new Frigidaire appliances. We had a problem with our microwave at the 10 month mark. Every time I boiled anything that created steam, the steam would leak into the door of the microwave...not inside the mircrowave but in the door which created about 50 cracks all inside the door. I was actually afraid to cook because I thought the steam would blow out the door. After many calls with Frigidaire, they paid for a new door but not the cost of installation by one of their recommended repair services. The repairman said it was definitely a defective door allowing the steam into the inside of the door.
I am very, very upset with Frigidaire not paying the $80 repair fee. The defect created a cosmetic problem so because the defect caused a cosmetic issue (50-60 cracks in the door) you wouldn't pay for the repair? Come on now, the door had a defect that actually stopped me from going anything on top of the stove. Frigidaire couldn't affor $80? The product was defective, did you get that? DEFECTIVE. Now that I have a new door, the problem hasn't happened again.

I am looking for the $80 refund. That is a weeks worth of food for me but a drop in the bucket for you.

Frigidaire warranty issues

In July we plugged in a brand new Frigidaire refrigerator and after 2 days it was not cooling. I called Frigidaire and they gave me a # to call for service. AAA TV Cincinnati, Ohio. At the first service call they said it had no Freon and the service tech told them what needed to be done. The service person said it was not something he wanted to do because it was a 3-4 hr. job. After speaking with a Frigidaire customer service person they said it was what had to be done first. After waiting 2 weeks for the repair the service person could not make the repair work. He said it would be escalated to the next level and they would contact me within 2-3 days. I did not hear from them so I called both a Corporate manager and service dept. They said they only knew that it had been escalated to another dept. Tomorrow will be a week since that happened and we still have not heard anything about the replacement. We have been without a refrigerator for 3 weeks.
I consider this a health issue because there is no refrigeration.

Frigidaire refrigerator

LOWES sold my 80 year old mother a DEFECTIVE refrigerator and will not replace it. Frigidaire sent a repair person who identified that the unit was defective and probably dropped. My mother did not purchase the extended warranty and noticed the issue with the unit after 30 days and LOWES response was ... " sorry, call Frigidaire". Frigidaire said sorry... deal with LOWES. DON'T BUY APPLIANCES FROM Frigidaire... they are the LOWEST quality and they take advantage of 80 year old ladies.

There is no way anyone can determine how the unit was damage and neither LOWES or Frigidaire will do the right thing!

Frigidaire frigidaire

I purchased a refrigerator model number FFET1222QS and serial number KA62315658 in December of 2016. The compressor is broken and an authorized service person came to look at it. I brought it from Home Depot. I am told the compressor cannot be fixed. I have the receipt. I did not purchase an extended warranty but I'm sure that the compressor should last more than 18 months on a frig. I would like to have this one serviced or a new refrigerator. Frigidaire refrigerator/freezer (side by side)

10 days out of the extended warranty, a part failed, costing me $500 (June 2016). On July 1, 2017, oil clogged the compressor lines. The repair guy said it wasn't worth fixing as it would fail in 2 years anyway. So, after paying $1200 plus $500 (total $1700) for this POS appliance, I am having to purchase a new unit ($1800) after only 7 years. I am NEVER buying another Frigidaire product again. Oh, did I mention that one of the shelves broke after 1 year but wasn't covered by the warranty?

Frigidaire microwave

Only 1 year and 9 months and my microwave has stopped working. Someone came to fix it, still does not work. I call the company and nothing will be covered or replaced without a warranty. The product is worth 100 dollars more than labor costs. This does not make sense and I am very disappointed with this company, service, and product. Not even 2 years but of course it is more than 1 year so your company gets a customer to have to buy an entirely new product. I will not be using this again if this is how your products work.

Frigidaire customer service/repair

Freezer quit 4 weeks ago, called customer service multiple times, 3 appts scheduled for repair, 3 days taken off work, 3 no shows. Every time I call back they tell me it will take another 3-5 days to find a new service company! I had to give away all my food. I paid over $3, 000 for this set, stand alone refer and freezer. Want to give it back and get a new one. Customer Service rep hung up on me when I asked to speak to a supervisor. Worst customer service ever! Still without a freezer and no one to soeak to about it. So dissapointed.

Frigidaire frigidaire gallery microwave

This is model # FGMV175QFA MANUFACTURED JULY 2016. I received this as a wedding present over a year ago. It remained in the box until a week ago. When it was installed all the display works, clock keeps time, but after you push a setting or a cook time, It will not start to cook. Nothing but beeps and says push start button. But after you push it, it still does nothing. I have no warranty in this noe, but it's brand new. I don't understand why, I thought FRIGIDARE was a quality company. Could you please tell me my options. I had it installed by an electrician and now I can't even use it and am out 150$ installation fee. Thank you David Minyard

Frigidaire frigidaire / electrolux - fghb2866pfja refrigerator waste of money

We purchased the Gallery line of appliances two years ago during a kitchen remodel.
I will say we've had no problem with the built in oven and microwave but the fridge is another story. Almost from the beginning the ice make was defective, the freezer door gasket needed replacing and interior temperature will not get below 40 degrees. The ice maker was replaced by a redesigned unit and is now working but it makes an awful knocking noise that sounds like someone is breaking into the house. However the thing that irritates me the most is the water that is dispensed from the door is warm. My owners manual says the door water dispenses chilled water which is incorrect. At some point the holding tank for chilled water was removed from production, I'm sure to save a few dollars. This might not sound like a big deal but I've owned five refrigerators in my life that had cold water in the door. Who would ever think room temperature water would be dispensed. I spoke with Regina an Escalation Specialist yesterday and all I got was stock comments, "You unit is working as designed, there is nothing we can do for you" I responded with but it's not working as advertised, she could not have cared less! Frigidaire has the worst customer service imaginable. I'd like nothing more than to load up this piece of junk and deposit it on the sidewalk at their corporate headquarters in Charlotte NC, but I'd probably get arrested for littering.

3rd machine delivered today under warranty in 5 years. Machine came dented and ice make not installed as promised. Over 30 service calls and loss in pay. I want compensation or resolution. Can contact BBB and Attorney General. $3500. Machine. Where's my satisfaction or justice. Contact me ASAP. I'm very upset [protected]. Your company has no respect for consumers only want our money

Frigidaire refrigerator

I purchased one of your refrigerators 09/26/17. I needed the hinges to be changed to the left side. The holes drilled by the manufacturer were drilled in the wrong place. Both doors are not level and do not shut the same at the top and the bottom. Their position cannot altered because of the location of the holes. The fridge door slopes to the right and is getting worse. I have contacted your customer service department in Canada trying to get this problem taken care of. You sold me a fridge with a manufacturers defect in. I want either my money back or a new fridge to replace it. Your customer service required me to get local companies to come and see the fridge. I had 2 of them come, Your customer service people got the information and did nothing but lie to me about it. Your customer service department employees are a waste of space. I want my fridge replaced. That is my right by your warranty.

Frigidaire dishwasher not get hot

I purchased a Fridgidare Dishwasher Nov 2016.

The dishwasher no longer heat the water. I've opened the washer mid cycle and the water is tap water temp.

On most dishwashers, the heating element is a separate part and costs about $35 and is easy (two nuts) to replace. On this washer the heating element is built into the water pump (which otherwise is working) and I've been quoted $160 for the part but labor to install. That adds up to half the price of the dishwasher.

First it's only 2 years old and I don't understand why this should fail. (I have been advised that the part has been redesigned and has a new part number. Was the redesign because it kept failing?) I asked for a repair guide so I could see what was involved to do the repair myself and I was told that none was available.

I also complained to the agent I spoke with who said she would escalate my frustration but I've never heard back.

I would like to get this dishwasher fixed. I would like it not to cost an arm-and-a-leg. I am willing to attempt to do the repair myself but I need guidance in the form of some directions

Frigidaire advertised rebate

We purchased 3 new appliances for our kitchen in January 2018. We specifically chose these items because Frigidaire was running a rebate special, which we found on their website. We purchased 3 of the specificed models from the promotion. We purchased the items from Sears, as they were able to get the models in quicker than Home Depot & Lowe's. Ont he rebate form, the only retailer specification is "Must be an authorized Frigidaire retailer". As Sears sells the Frigidaire line, they are considered an Authorized Retailer. After I sent in all required information, I was informed that my rebate was declined. After spending an hour on the phone with their customer service deparment, I found out it was declined because I purchased at Sears. I asked if Sears is an authorized retailer. The woman said yes they are, but they are not one for this offer! I asked how I was supposed to know this, and she stated that I should have called Frigidaire first and asked! No where in fine print does it say to call Frigidaire and find out if the authorized retailer you are purchasing from is "one of" the authorized retailers. This "rebate" is an unfair ploy to entice shoppers to buy Frigidaire products and then refuse the rebate you were advertised. I will NEVER purchase Frigidaire products again. This program is a scam!

Frigidaire failure to respond

I purchased the Frigidaire Gallery french door refrigerator 18 months ago and it has now flooded my kitchen twice over the last seven weeks. The first time was on 3/4/18 and I contacted customer service regarding repair and damage to my home. Frigidaire sent a repairman a week later and said nothing was wrong. I contacted the repairman again after 10 days and reported that the fridge was not making ice and something was definitely wrong. The company failed to return my calls until, after a wee, I once again left a message for Frigidaire. The repairman returned again and again said nothing was wrong. One week following this visit the refrigerator flooded the entire kitchen again. By that evening, the refrigerator stopped working altogether and is not repairable per a Frigidaire licensed repairman.

The machine was full of water in its interior walls and yet again the water poured out as we removed if from our home.

It would seem to me that Frigidaire should buy this back from us at a reasonable price.

At this point Frigidaire customer service has ignored calls made and emails sent. I am shocked that I paid over $2, 000 for an appliance that lasted less than 18 months.

It was purchased on 9/26/16 and purchased at Lowes. I did not purchase an extended warranty (lesson learned). I do have the receipt at home but I am at work at the moment.

Hi Tanya.

I wish I had the ability to do something directly, unfortunately I don't. But I might be able to provide you some ways to get some additional help.

If you haven't already replaced the fridge, try contacting Frigidaire at [protected]. They may be willing to help cover the costs of another Gallery fridge for you. For what it's worth, they really do make some great appliances.
Also you might try contacting the local Lowes store you purchased the unit through. Speak to their general manager and he/she might be able to throw some additional discounts your way in providing a new fridge.

That has to be really frustrating. No one expects a fridge to go out in such a short period of time. I wouldn't be surprised if either the manufacturer or retailer wouldn't do what they could to assist. Neither company wants to disappoint a customer.

Hopefully all will turn out well. Please take the time to post back and let us know how things turn out.

Frigidaire french door refrigerator

I have been trying to arrange for a repairman to come and repair a defective water filter in my new refrigerator. After several missed appointments due to miscommunications, I stayed home two weeks ago to wait for a repairman that was scheduled to arrive between 8-5. At two pm I decided to call to see if they were still on schedule. It was then I was told that the appointment was cancelled and a new one was made for two days later. Only problem is no one informed me of that! I could not take another day off two days later! Another appointment was made for today, and once again the repair did not happen. This time a call was made to my husband who was at work and was unable to answer the phone immediately. Ten minutes later he called back when he heard the message that the repairman would be arriving in 20 minutes, only to be told, too late, I left and Im not turning around. What is that about?
Is that customer service, if it is, then understand I will never buy another Frigidaire product!
How is it a company as big as Frigidaire can only contract one company in NJ to fix all of their issues.
What a frustrating, disappointing and futile effort is has been to try and correct this problem.

Appreciated reading your concerns.

Normally, service calls are not made on a water filter as they are a consumable with a value of about $35. You should be able to pick one up anywhere Frigidaire products are sold.

Assuming everything is addressed to your satisfaction, there is absolutely no reason to reply to this text.

This is my third attempt! We have had the above since 12/19/15 and have had two repairman come, one shortly after one years time of our date of purchase! One for the ice maker, then for control board! Now the ice maker does not work again! It is a very poor design with the ice maker located in ther regerator! We are asking frigidaire to make this right somehow! We did not want the exterior ice maker in the beginning, but were encourage to purchase it at Orville's to receive Galaxy package price! Repurchase four appliances at one time! We would have had to pay $100's more to get another refrigerator without the exterior ice maker! Please help us!

Let me make sure I understand your issue(s).

You purchased this four piece appliance package at Orville's in December of 2015. Instead of 'Galaxy' package, might you be referring instead to Gallery package?

You're having an issue with the ice maker, which is located within the refrigerator. I'm assuming this is a French door model, as all french door, front dispensing ice makers are located within the refrigerator.

Did you purchase any form of additional warranty coverage from Orville's or Frigidaire?

Please note, if everything is already been addressed to your satisfaction, there is no need to reply.

Frigidaire refrigerator

We received our new refrigerator on 3/3 the delivery company was over 3 hours late delivering it, and when it showed up with dents in it. We went out to dinner that night when we came home there was frost in the freezer so we called the company the next morning and they advis d they would send us a new one and that we would receive it on 3/23 as that was there next available day. We get a call the night before the delivery that they will not be coming due to weather. We wait another week and another vacation day today and still no refrigerator.

Frigidaire washer/tub bearing has failed after only 2 yrs. & 3 mos. of use

On 11/28/2015 we bought a Frigidaire stackable washer/dryer at Home Depot. The company would not sell just one unit even though we only needed a washer. The washer has begun to fail after only two years of use. It still works but the noise is so loud that we have to go to the other part of the house when the machine is spinning. The worst part is that the clothes are still wet.
We had Frigidaire appliances for ten years before we had problems and we believe that two years is unacceptable for an appliance to malfunction in such a manner.
We expect a repair or replacement of our machine. Model FFFW5000QW

Frigidaire front loading washers and dryers are some of the best within the industry. At one point these units were known as Affinity products, although that brand has now been retired.

Initially these units are sold with a one year limited warranty, however most retailers, along with Frigidaire, offer additional warranty coverage at nominal amounts. Did you elect to purchase this additional coverage when purchasing the units?
