I have been a Dubai First customer of your credit card for a while however a few months back I wished to close the credit card. I made the call to Dubai first and requested them to close the card, they informed me that someone would surely get in touch with me to close the card. No one got back to me. I called back a while later requesting to close the card however I was informed that I had decided to keep the card active which is not true and requested them again to please close the card. Once again, I got no call from anyone. I called once again requesting to close and was informed that someone tried to call me but I know for a fact no one had attempted to call me, anyhow I made the request again to close the card. Until now, no one has called me. I am honestly sick and tired of this and in between all of this, I got charged for the card plus 2 non payment fees. I will not pay this amount as I have requested time and time again even before I was charged to please close this card but no one would close this card for me. Instead I got charged close to AED 1000 for the lack of service from Dubai First. I request to please waive this amount and beg you to please close this card at the earliest possible. I used to enjoy using the card but would surely not recommend this to anyone anymore. Once you get in, you dont let the person get out without charging them all sorts of fees. Would appreciate some assistance on this at the earliest possible.

I have an issue with closing my credit card, tried to send a complaint from your website Contact Us page, it does not work. I get a support number and asks me to call. Is this your way of keeping people at bay from submitting complaints? Atleast maintain your website, make sure no links are broken.

I have been calling the Dubai First to close my card which I already paid all the outstanding . They told me that as soon as payment receive they can close the card. Now I need to call them and ask it to be closed, they want me to visit the branch which is impossible for me due to the timings of my wok and bank timings and they only have 1 branch available and is very far from my office. I called them again today and I can't even place a complain regarding this.!

I too have similar experience from Dubai First. Card expired, and not provided with replacement card, charged annual renewal fee for the card which is no more valid, late payment fee for not paying renewal fee. Requested to cancel the card several times but the result was not favourable and finally lodged a complaint with the regulatory authority which payed off. Now, customer care confirmed my card is closed, still I have to wait 35 days to request a clearance letter. Mate, never go for any business with DF.

I have exactly the same situation I contacted them on the 3rd of September and still waiting for their call. I called them several times and they said they tried to contact me which is not true and they are not able to put me in contact with anyone that can help me.
