We think there might be reasons for the company's actions (like not knowing about the complaints), and we would be happy to see them among customer-focused businesses that easily solve customer problems. Costco hiring seasoned senior workers

I have been applying since August 2016 at Costco's and was advised to apply every 90 days, finally when they did ask to interview me for Membership Services I was ready to work.
I have a strong background in banking. I am 68 years old and needed a job badly. I was interviewed by two managers in the customer eating area and answered all my question to the best of my ability knowing that I had the job.
The two managers told me that I would need to be interviewed again by another manager by Thursday or Friday of that week. They told me I did great on the interview as well. On Friday I got no call from the Sugarland store in Houston. Finally I called and was told the on that Monday they had emailed me and found someone better suited for the position.
They could hired me in vault services or a food tester. Somewhere within Costco they could have to hire me "it was my age".

Costco water ridge faucet

I bought a warer ridge faucet and because of leak problem and took it back to Costco warehouse to return because it has lifetime warranty. My membership number [protected]
And my name is merzad Ramjou.
I was told they have no records because they can check only back to2009. My question is what is my fault I paid dearly at the time it was $200 and they do not return my money.

Costco swiss cheese and raisan bran

Just left your store in manchester, mo.
As usual commodity items are no longer being stocked.
When management was queried by me, they said, "well our buyers could not get a good price, and we don't like to raise prices.!"

Nice answer but totally invalid.

I buy the same commodities bi-weekly, eggs, cheese, salsa etc go up yet you dropped land o' lakes margarine for a much higher priced product.
You no longer carry plain old raisin bran, substituting raisin bran crunch which has far more salt and sugar than plain raisan bran.

Now you do not have swiss cheese. You replaced finlandia for a sampler package, which has a small amount of swiss but 4 other cheeses.

You picked up an unknown brand of swiss for a month.

You cannot tell me that cheese is going up in price, since kraft has a $3.00 manufacturer's rebate on it's american cheese.

Either your buyers don't give a damn about the costco member or they are blithering idiots. Either way, I am very disapointed and upset.

Costco why is there a huge display of roundup in my costco

I purchase my organic produce, products etc. At costco who I see as very progressive... Why would there be a huge display of roundup, which is a known cancer causing agent? I could not believe my eyes... Omg... Costco, you know better.

I just watched a commercial on tv last night advertising attny's who are taking the national class action lawsuit against monsanto for the many deaths of gardeners etc who have used roundup.

Please know your customer and get that out of there!

Costco employee had signs of being under the influence of substances

I went a few days with a few friends to shop for a few items & as I walked up to place an order. The female employee her eyes were dialated and she gave me bad body language which made me feel real uncomfortable. She did not smile either. I decided to not place an order, I refused and walked out. The female employee her name tag says Dounia. I don't know if employee can be under the influence of substances in a work place but for me it is very rude and a bad presentation in the food court. I love Costco I been going for years this isn't the first time I ran into the same employee under substances. Costco needs to do a better job at doing a different drug test to hire employees. I am not satisfied to come back till the employee gets checked at.

Costco rude employee at food court

My roommate and I were picking up a pizza, that we placed an order for over the phone. Not having ordered over the phone before we unknowingly stood in the wrong line. As we walked away to the other line, she said "you should learn to read the sign". Her name is Rachelle, she works at the costco on hesperian in hayward ca. I thought that comment was very unnecessary and rude. She clearly had an attitude with many of the customers before us. I have worked in customer service for many years now, and understand how some customers can be but that does not mean the employee should be rude.

Costco bagels and la brea bread

I purchased these items only 1 week ago. When I've purchased these items at other grocery stores they have lasted longer than 1 week. This morning I wanted to enjoy a bagel and create a sandwich for lunch but instead I now have to throw away about $30 worth of food product that I didn't get to consume. This hurts someone who is on a budget and did not plan on having to purchase new bread products within 1 week. Please see attached pictures.

Costco customer service

I purchased a spa finder at Costco. I went to pick it up at the merchandise pick up area. Jessica, one of the employee at merchandise pick up, was very unfriendly. There was no one in line and she wasnt helping anyone. But I felt as if I was bothering her by being there. It was all about the attitude. Ironically, under her name tag, it said something like "#1 customer service." She needs some coaching to give off some friendly vibe if shes going to wear that tag.

Costco tire service center

I purchased tires for my son in laws truck under my membership, he paid me back for them. The Tire & Auto manager at the time said since my son in law does not have a Costco membership he can come in for service on the tires with the paperwork provided by Costco. My son in law has been in several times for scheduled tire rotations with no problem. This last time on 5/2/17 the employee working the counter acted like a complete ### towards my son in law because he was not a member and this has not been an issue in the past. He refused to call my son in law when the truck would be ready and said he could only call me. In his statement at my son in law he can only deal with Costco members with a scowling look. The only reason my son I law does not have a Costco membership is because he has a Sam's Club membership. We go to Sam's under his for things that Costco does not carry and Costco under mine for things that Sam's does not carry. We bought the tires for his truck at Costco because of the sale on Bridgestone at the time. I feel this behavior of the employee is very unacceptable in regards to me and my membership with Costco.

Costco insect found in bag of greens

Hello,
Yesterday we were about to prepare a salad with the Earthbound Farms Organic Power Greens, which we bought on Saturday, April 29th at Costco Rego Park.
Upon putting the salad into a bowl, we discovered a HUGE grasshopper/cricket. See image attached.
We were disgusted and shocked, especially since we already utilized 3/4 of the bag on a big pot of beef stew, which we were hoping to freeze in batches. That entire pot is completely ruined; we wasted our time preparing the batch, and we wasted our money on the meat and other vegetables in the stew.
This is unacceptable and unsanitary. Please let us know how this can be rectified.

Costco unethical behavior

Incident Report: Sunday, April 30th, 2017
Location: 3250 Vernon Blvd, Long Island City, New York (Queens Location)
Description:

As a loyal premium Costco member and business owner myself, I have observed your staff at the Astoria Queens location and am shocked by the way a some of the food sample staff have treated your customers. In particular there is a man on your staff in the 3250 Vernon Blvd location who passes out food samples (white older male 40-55, brown curly hair with beard, glasses) and repeatedly snaps and insults customers with a shocking attitude that makes it clear he is angry, aggressive and mentally unfit as an employee. This is actually a report of several observed occasions over the past year of this staff member engaging in similar conduct and finally we decided it would be in the best interest of the company to bring this to light. Certainly we do not know of the working conditions, but your customers are no place for employees to take out aggression and it's extremely unsettling to see his interaction with children as well. As a loyal customer and business owner, I feel a responsibility to report this. From a management perspective, it seems there was either a misstep in the hiring process or lack of education on company philosophy to their employees, especially those in customer-facing roles. Each member of your staff is representative of your company as a whole, and believe the rest of the staff at this location deserves to be appraised of these kinds of incidents to move forward and provide the kind of service their customers pay for and deserve.

Costco kirkland chicken breasts (frozen and individually wrapped)

Hello, I purchased a bag of frozen, individually wrapped chicken from Costco about a week ago. The next day, I defrosted some chicken breasts to make for dinner and I found a long strand of hair in one of the sealed individually wrapped bags of chicken. Yesterday, I went to Costco Fairfield ca and returned it. I also purchased another bag from a different lot. Although it was good to be able to return it, I'm more concerned about the food safety part of it where a long strand of hair was able to get into a vacuum sealed bag and on the actual chicken breast itself. If there was one chicken breast which was contaminated, there is no evidence to know if it was an isolated incident. An object being found in the chicken is a result of cross contamination and should be investigated and appropriate corrective action should be taken. Please see the photos attached.

This is gross! I totally know where you are coming from...I just opened the same chicken and found a 3 inch black hair on it! So gross! I'm truly disgusted by their health/safety inspections (or lack of)...

Costco bring back the berry smoothie!

So disappointed to learn that Costco has replaced the berry smoothie with a new "fruit" smoothie that is supposed to be healthier, low-sugar, etc. Well, this new smoothie tastes AWFUL, like rotted strawberries. It also costs more than twice as much. Shame on you Costco! If you want to have a healthier alternative, go for it but don't take away the original berry smoothie. I've been a Costco member for more than 20 years, but this just might be what pushes me across the street to Sam's Club. Not a fan anymore. Please bring back the berry smoothie!

Agreed. My son loves the berry smoothie, its a great sometime treat and he often saved up an brought his own money when we went to COSTCO. He went to order and was a little short, I thought the price just went up, no big deal still a decent deal. But they I see my son crying as he drank the new smoothie, I told him to throw it away if he didn't like it but he said he didn't want to waste my money. My family does not like the new smoothie at twice the price no less, tasted curdled. I appreciate healthier options being available but this one does not make the cut. The difference in calories and sugar is not that significant. Serve the new one but give us the option of the good old berry treat.

Costco peanut butter filled pretzels

My friend gave me some a couple months ago. I was instantly hooked and loved my new go to snack. I bought it once and was in love! However, when I went to buy my second jug I was completely turned off when I read on the back that they were genetically modified! Bummer, Costco! You have so many great organic choices, this is very disappointing! Unfortunately I won't buy them anymore. Please reconsider your ingredients and make these without GMOs so my family and I can enjoy them again!

Costco defective product

I purchased a loaf of Udis Whole Grain bread on 4-25-17 at your Thomas and 44th ST store. It has a considerable amount of mold. This is the third time I have had an issue with this product. I have responded by e mail in the past to Costco regarding this product.
You are carrying a product made by a company that is poorly manufactured. It has been prevoiusly brought to your attention and the attention of Udis and you continue to carry it. I will by filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and social media. Word needs to get out that Costco isn't tuned in to their customers. Costco sells products that receive complaints with no regard to customer inconvenience. Costco isn't concerned about individual customers, only volume.

Costco costco tire service

I dropped in for a tire purchase at Costco Tore in Temecula, CA. The particular tire I needed was not in stock. I was advised to purchase the tire so they can order it and it would be in at 1200 or 3:00pm the next day. I was also informed I would receive a call from Art at 12 or 3 to notify me the tire arrived and to bring in my vehicle. I called at 1205 the next day since I did not receive a call and Kyoshi answered the phone and told me I would receive a call when it arrived and a very rude manner and no customer service what so ever. I called back to ask him what was wrong with me calling inquiring about a tire I had already purchased and not received. He was apologetic and told me the tire would definable be in today and I would receive a call around 3:00 pm. Well it is 5:00 pm now and I am at Americas Tire getting my tire replaced for $50 cheaper and great customer service. Costco will be my next stop for a full refund on my purchase and a lost customer for there tire shop. Very very disappointed and completely unregular for Costco in my experience. I guess the tire department is different...::

Costco poor customer service from a cashier

We were shopping at the aloha oregon store on baseline road. Cashier was checking us out and through a item on our flat of eggs. I told her please dont do that and i removed it from the top of the eggs. She proceeded to to do it with the next item again and i adked her to stop doing it. She rolled her eyes at my wife and finished checking us out. We we removed the cover of the tray of eggs when we got home wr found severlal crackef eggs. Not happy with het customet service. I have included a picture off eggs and the reciept.

Costco management of charleston sc location

I know that management knows how to do the job. I can tell when people from corporate are due to arrive since it store suddenly becomes:
1. clean
2. all cash registers are open
3. several people are working the food court.

since I know it can be done, and management is sufficiently motivated to run the store properly when the 'suits' arrive, it must be that management is just not motivated at all other times.
Just a question. don't you think you would learn more if you just showed up, and not announced your arrival?/
Today took the cake. Opened 10 minutes late on the first day of coupons. unacceptable. store "manager" was at the front door explaining to the members that were close enough to hear her. but otherwise, just the usual bad management. We have been to at least 50 Costco's, but this is the worst Costco that exists in the NATION. If you are going to open a new Costco in Mt. Pleasant SC, DO NOT move any managers from the Charleston store. we have been members since around 1992. Membership number is [protected]. the number on my card is [protected]

I also noticed that there is no category for the store itself, so I picked other.

Costco service... rude employee in honolulu pharmacy dept.

I am a long time executive member. A relatively junior senior citizen who frequently shops at Costco. Today, I was looking for sardines and was told by an employee it would be by the tuna. So I went back there to look again. Not having any luck a nice customer suggested that I try the Pharmacy as they seem to know a lot about where things are. So I approached the section, from along the side. As I approached I saw a sales clerk (female Filipino or Chinese I think around 40's) ringing up a customer. Actually he was the customer in that section. As he began to leave she turned to me and said, "may I help you?" So I responded, "do you know where the sardines are located?" As she turned to look through some papers, an oriental guy (perhaps the Pharmacist) around late 20's early 30's interrupts and says ..."sir next time you need to wait behind the sign because of the privacy law" My response was she asked me what I needed so I responded. I guess he did not want to hear that so he bascially repeated himself again. Now as he mentioned that I turned to the sign he was referring to. It was in the aisle near the register perhap 10-20 feet away facing away from us. How would I even know about the sign when I walked to the Pharmacy from the aisle that had no sign or could see it since it was facing away from me? Anyway, frustrated and upset I then reported the incident to management and was told they would followup and coach the Pharmacy on being more sensitive to customers.

Costco rotisserie chicken

On Tuesday, April 25th, 2017, I purchased 2 rotisserie chickens at the Greenville, SC store around 1:45PM. I always check the time stamp on the chickens to make sure they are fresh. We live 45 miles from Greenville and make the trip a couple of times per month to buy food items.

When we got home, we found the chickens to be significantly undercooked and not edible without further cooking.
