Capitec Bank filthy attitude

This morning I spoke to an extremely rude busisiwa, collections department at capitec. She wanted to argue my pay date and kept on insisting that I get paid on the 24th. She is rude, has no listening skills and no people skills. She didn't even give me a chance to speak. She wanted to make sure that she has the last say. She ended up the call by hanging up on me. I strongly suggest you fire that busisiwa person. She doesn't belong there. I am now more frustrated that I was before I made that call

This morning went to capitec to open another account for my savings. I was met by a very rude lady who gave me attitude as I was speaking to her, this is not the first time it's happened and I dread going to birch acres mall capitec because of her. She is the lady that stands at the door and meets clients she doesn't have customer skills. I walked out because I was angry at her attitude didn't open the account, they laughed as I walk out! Ridiculous attitude

Capitec Bank xoli

I was at capitec bank in malrvel, submitting my proof of address. Xoli who help me at the door, took the proof of address and the copy of the id of the person the house is registered to and said it does not look the same. On the proof of address only one initial was written whereas on the id there two names. I was turned away because of that and she gave me attitude of which I complained to her about, she was dancing while speaking to me.

Capitec Bank money stolen by capitec atm -

Absolutely worst customer service from capitec bank

Please help! Me and my wife did several atm deposits on sa*ay 4 june. The atm took r26000 and never credited it to my account. The assistant branch manager witnessed how the atm "swallowed" my money. We then spent more than an hour inside the bank logging the complaint. The assistant branch manager then promised us that they will have it sorted the following monday when the security company attends to the atm as they have logged a service call with them. I phoned the branch manager on tuesday and we basically told me that it is not his department and that capitec will get back to me in 14 days regarding the issue. For the entire week absolutely nobody of capitec bank contacted us, despite promising us that it will be sorted! I then logged a complaint with their complaints department, which in turn promised that they will get back to us within 3 days, which they never did! I was the 3rd person that morning that lost money at that atm. I advised them to disable that atm as it was faulty, but they then allowed other customers to use it which resulted in another 2 people losing money at the atm. I logged several complaints with the branch and complaints department and no one has gotten back to us.

My name is jason lumbala. I am a south african permanent resident working as an rf engineer.
I went to open a new bank account with the idea to also open a business account but unfortunately capitec bank consultants in [protected]@red in centurion, said my identity document is not good and they came up with excuses that they customers service told them that my identity document is used by someone else simply because they see that I am not a south african. When I went to home affairs, they told me that my identity documents is only used by me. I am surprise that even at the bank, people are still applying xenophobia again foreign national and especially toward black foreign national and this type of behaviour can push foreign investors form investing in south africa. Therefore, I would like to advise business owners of capitec bank to monitor south african black employees who are working at capitec bank. Bad things are happening there again black foreign nationals. The same identity document is used for many of my investments and bank accounts and only at capitec bank where they suspect fraud with my identity documents. Please let foreign national live in this country because many south africans are also in our countries investing in minings. Please. My email address is : [protected]@hotmail.co.za.

Capitec Bank changing a date on personal loan to coincide with my salary date

I received a personal loan from capitec bank in march this year. I did not notice on that the collection date was wrong. My salary date is the 22nd of each month but what was captured was 21st of each month.
In april a family member deposited cash into my account for a family function that I was going to attend. To my surprise when I wanted to withdraw the bank had prematurely deducted the loan repayment amount. They paid it back, apologised said that the bank usually put a 7 day prepayment and that it should not happen again.

It happened twice again after that. I discovered that the wrong date was captured and reported it immediately proving proof of my salary date and still they did not change the date. I had also opened a savings account and the correct date appears but still they are refusing to change it.

In addition it has transpired if other cash gets paid into your account - whether it is your salary they also deduct your loan repayment from your account. I reported the matter 4 times including to their complaints / client care office and with promises to come back to me but up until today, they have not returned my calls or rectified a date that is to their benefit. All I was asking is change the date so that my loan does not default to ensure payment on a loan and they are refusing giving me lame excuses.

Capitec Bank bad service

My diabetic mom cillapsed so she had to be taken to a private doctor quickly and money was needed, I was called and asked to urgently deposite money at capitec bank for my mom's consultation. When I arrived at the bank there was a guy at the door giving out numbers so told him what im here for and he gave me a number. I waited on the q for about 30min and when it was finaly my turn (I was 1st in the q) when I arrived at the cashier she told me she didn't call my number I must waist for my number to be called, I was surprised cause there was no one she was servicing at that moment, then she started servicing people who were behind me. All this time my mom was waiting for this deposite at the doctors waiting room. I would have easily been too late. To think I was thinking of opening an account with capitec and start depositing my salary in it because of their low charges, but I really wouldn't recommend capitec bank to anyone, even though the charges are less the service is very bad.

Capitec Bank negligence

Sunday 17th, I went to new germany branch to withdraw money, my card was jammed and 5000 was withdrawn from my account, I called help line for the card to be closed I gave my identity document of which I feel that the consultant took his time assisting, while answering all his questions the money was withdrawn.

Monday 18th, I went to the branch, of which it was not helpful instead I was told making phone calls gives time for thief don't you have internet banking off which you could have stopped your card yourself.

Crime it is high and as customers we do our level best to safe guard our money, the branch doesn't have security on sunday, making it easy for people to be robbed, at the branch I was not even told that I will get my money back just that investigation will be conducted

Also upon panic one is not sober minded, negligence towards customers money needs serious attends,

Capitec Bank below average service level

Good day,

On 28 march 2016, I deposited r3000 via an atm using cardless service (tygervalley mall branch). The machine accepted the money but no receipt was produced and no reference number was asked. Subsequently, I called the call centre and reported my case, I was told the issue will be investigated and I will be contacted in 2 days time.

On 30 march I went to the tygervally mall branch (where I deposited the money) to follow up on the issue and to deposit the "lost" money again because payment due date was 30 march 2016 (so I had to pay the money).

The service I received at tygervally mall branch was the worst service I have ever experienced. The consultant was so disrespectful and patronizing. I was told that the money will be paid to the account it was intended for. I explained to the consultant that I have already paid the money because it was due today (30 march) and the consultant dismissed me and was very rude. She said its the process and they are following it.

How can you follow a process if its your atm that was faulty! It is definitely not my fault that your machine was faulty. Secondly, no one apologised to me and no one followed up. I expected to be treated with dignity but I was treated extremely badly. The service at this branch is so appalling.

Capitec expects us to migrate to them and leave our banks and yet they cannot even solve simple queries. No sms was sent to me to confirm the case I logged, I have not received any follow up call to confirm or to give feedback. Words fail me to express my disappointment with capitec! I want my money!

Capitec Bank retrenchment cover

Retrenchment cover not assessed due to retrenchment assessment letter that is missing. The arrangements was for me to pay certain amount from november 2015 which I did. Capitec garankuwa consultant confirmed that, those changes were not communicated with them on time by retrenchment cover office. They only knew about retrenchment assessment letter on a later stage. Both retrenchment cover office and capitec garankuwa failed to communicate this with their clients. I can't be held responsible for capitec offices miscommunication and continue paying for another 3 months. That wasn't initial arrangement. Please sort out, i'm very unhappy

Capitec Bank retrenchment cover

I submitted retrenchment documents in november 2015 for retrenchment cover and was told to submit payslip asap for documents to be processed and I did exactly that. Made an arrangement to pay certain amount from november 2015 for 3 months.in february 2016 a consultant at capitec wonder park mall called retrenchment office to know about my retrenchment cover status and was told that retrenchment assessment letter is missing. I went back to capitec ga rankuwa branch where I initially submitted my retrenchment documents. The consultant who submitted documents last year, also called retrenchment consultant on the same day who confirmed that retrenchment assessment letter and payslip are missing. I submitted the payslip but I don't how come it went missing. The consultant confirmed that retrenchment office failed to communicate with them on time about retrenchment assessment letter and that's the reason I didn't get it in november 2015. They only knew about retrenchment assessment letter on a later stage. Capitec retrenchment office failed to communicate with branches and clients. The retrenchment consultant said it'll take them another 3 months to assess retrenchment and I have to continue paying for the mistake that they did. I'm still unemployed and cant afford that. I cant be held responsible for lack of communication from capitec retrenchment office and continue paying. They should have communicated this with other branches or at least with their clients on time to impede complications theyve created now and hinder clients payment background to have bad effect.

Capitec Bank defrauded r3000.00 from my account

I was defrauded r3000.00 by someone who claimed to be a consultant of capitec bank early february last year (2015). I was only having a month or so with activated cell phone banking. They use to call me before about any unusual debit order from my account and they never speak about sorting out such problems over a phone. But once after being encouraged one consultant from menlyn park branch to activate cell phone banking then they started telling about reversing debit orders using my cellphone.

Capitec Bank service and bad attitude

Tanya de klerk is arrogant and ignorant
I contacted capitec to obtain a settlement letter on my. I received the letter. However the amount made no sense to me as I previously (9 months earlier) received a settlement letter. Long story short. Below is my response to tanya of which she completely ignored it and did not even entertainment. She went and changed the letter as it was incorrectly dated but failed to answer my question. She did not even bother to say, i'm looking into this will revert shortly. Nothing! I'm obviously not important, she is way too busy to explain to a capitec client what she deserves to know. She did not even apologize for the error. She just forward the letter without saying anything. Who am I to expect her to apologize to me after all? I'm just a number! I want someone who has people skills to explain to me how the below is possible

The last time I checked, will attach settlement letter which was april 2015 the 22nd. My settlement amount was r67711.42. Since then i've made 9 payments. R2480.00 x 9. Now 9 months later it's only r4551.43 less?

Please can someone explain how that is possible? Makes no sense to

Capitec Bank credit application

Capitec Bank unauthorised withdrawal at another atm other than the one I was using

On 27 november 2015 at about 05:20 am I transfered an amount of r600 from my savings account (named amber) to my savings account - we were on bellville station waiting for our train to work. My husband then went to the fnb atm situated on the station within eye view from the capitec branch with was obviously closed and so were the 3 atms (2 located at the branch and one at the tick office on the station directly opposite capitec bank). He frantically called me moments later telling me that the atm had swallowed my card and it sounded like the machine was counting money but no money came out. I went to meet him there and saw that the atm had prompted to enter card for a transaction. No money and no card. He did mentioned that someone was at the other atm but none when to the one he used and no one came while I was standing there either. I was too scared to allow anyone to use the one where my card was swallowed. My husband went to capitec and got the number for their call centre which I then called to have my card stopped. I was assured that if it was an error the bank would reverse payment bank into my account with in 24 hours and if this was not done the consultant then logged a request (ref: [protected]) which would take up to 30 days for my refund. A few days later I received and sms confirming that the refund request has been declined. I then called the call centre and even after I visited the branch in kuilsriver I left with the conclusion: 1) my response time (5 mins) was not enough to stop my card 2) most clients calling to stop their cards and claiming money is stolen is lying 3) my card and pin was in fact used at another atm when I went to the branch in kuilsriver they showed me that on my statement it indicated that m my money was withdrawn at an atm located at 51 durban road bellvill almost immediately after my husband tried to withdraw money from the atm on bellville station. He either needed to be superman to get there and get the money or that had to the be the only atm we tried to withdraw from! - the investigators on this request did not do a thorough investigation (my personal opinion) 51 durban road is where the old nedbank building is... I doubt there is still an atm there. What is strange is that I received an sms message confirming that I transferred money from ambers savings to my account and anothe one confirming transfer again and the amount left in her account but no sms with regards to the r650 that was withdrawn form my account! Needless to say i'm still short r650 and my bank is not will to assist in a thorough investigation because they suspect I stole the funds myself. I'm outraged at the mannerism at which the situation is being handled. I in fact changed from fnb to capitec... Which makes me kick myself. If I hadnt changed I would have had that money today. It might not seem much to capitec but it means a lot more to my family. If anyone really cares to assist we would really appreciate it.

Capitec Bank money taken, only to hear I must wait 31 working days!

I ask myself, how did I change from my bank to coptic? By hearing how great coptic is. But what happened to me with this few days, i'm thinking twice. How can coptic transfer money from my account to another, then when I query, only to hear, they will lock the query, and I will wait 31 working days. Being a single mom with 3 kids, 3 days before school start, how can I wait. What happened, my youngest son broke his wrist on the 29 seep 2015, swiping my coptic card for the doctor's fee, where it went off direct, only to receive a sum's on the 06 oct 2015, 10:08, the some amount taken again, 10:14 money paid back in my account. But this morning 09 oct 2015, 02:59, the money were taken again, phoning and asking coptic account dept, what now, so many calls later, and only to say it's 16:03, and no feed back from my bank, no sum's, no money, only a r0.00 account balance. And end of this month, to keep in mind the transaction fee's. Thank you, coptic for really helping me. I will keep in mind that I must think twice about keeping my account with you, and sadly to say, my 3 kids also have accounts with you.

On Sunday 8 November 2015, my wife wanted to withdraw R2420 that was left after al debits etc was paid. There is 2 atm's at the bank, she tried the one and punced in 2420 and it declined. She then went to the other atm and inserted the card, waiting to punch in her pin nothing happened. Then she received a sms R2420 withdrawn, R2420 reversed and again R2400 withdrawn, R2400 reversed and then R1000 withdrawn and again R1400 withdrawn, the last 2 amounts was drawn at another atm, whilst she is standing at the very same atm she tried the second time at the branch. This other atm is at a place far away from where we were. Now panicking she phones the USESLESS customer number, where they hammer on stopping the card and will escalate the case and it will take up to 30 days. They have the odassity to get arrogant and just say that it happens to lots of people and all the banks. I was with Standard bank for 15 years and my wife with FNB for 8 years and this criminal behaviour from them never happened. Unfortunetly we were forced to change banks but this piece of crap Capitec was the worst decision ever

Capitec Bank poor service and uneducated personel

I always thought highly of capitec. Me and my husband have all our accounts with capitec. But today I lost all respect for capitec! We had a problem with money that was not reversed to back to our account. We explaining everything to the consultant at the louis trichardt branch. She was so uneducated and could not speak or understand english or afrikaans. She did not know how to help us. We asked for the manager and explained to her that the consultant are uneducated and could not even understand our problem, let alone have a solution for us. The manager was not very helpful and we left the branch with no solution to our problem! I am very very very disappointed at your poor service and lack of education! And we are thinking of moving all our family accounts and business to another bank that have better service with more educated personal that knows what they are doing!

Capitec Bank lack of cooperation

I have been banking with capitec bank for the past 4 years and also opened accounts for my children. Including my 5year old son and I have been using his account. I needed a bank letter confirming that I am the main signatory on the account and for the past 3 weeks they have not assisted me. At cresta they have printed the contract for me and client profile but cannot supply me with a bank letter. Surely if its an account for a 5year old who do you think is using that money and transacting on the account? Emails go unanswered and they promise that they will get back to me and there has been no communication to date. The call centre agents are not helpful and I don't understand why I cannot get a simple bank letter in this regard! Capitec may be cheap but customer care is terrible

Capitec Bank cash withdrawal after debit card stopped

Today the 30-05-15, I called in to cancel/stop my card. Spoke to melisa in the call centre this was 07:09am, she confirmed that she has stopped my card, yet after an hour 30minuts I received two withdrawal notifications. How is that possible after confirming my card was stopped. I didn't punch in my pin or amounts. This is completely daylight robbery and a scam. Management, check your staff, are they being loyal and faithful to your brand and its clients? This is unacceptable. If this is not resolve or be reimbursed, I will make it a point to drag the brand name/ image into the mud. I will go to the media and whatever social platforms to alert all innocent client banking with capitec bank... Pr team i'm sure this is negative image of the brand, kindly resolve this for me! Highly disappointed client.
