Approximately 18 months ago I purchased a high-end computer system and wanted to use my Discover card for the purchase. The salesperson talked me into opening a BestBuy CitiCard stating that I would receive a gift card for about $288. I never received it, called in June and they said it would be mailed and take 6 to 8 weeks. I called today to check on the status, and they said I wasn't getting the card and that was the end of it. It's not the end of it; I work in law enforcement and will advise all my friends and colleagues to avoid BestBuy and Citcards.

Recommendation: Run from this store.

About 18 months ago, I purchased a high-end computer system. I wanted to use my Discover Card, but the salesperson talked me into opening a Citicard with the promise of receiving a Best Buy Gift Card. That never came, I called in June (2026) and they said it would be mailed and to give it 6 to 8 weeks. I called today for the status and they informed me I would not be getting this card (approx value $288) and that was the end of the matter. I'll make sure that I and my fellow law enforcement colleagues avoid using Citicards.
