Citibank review: Loss of loyalty incentives as citi issues family cards with different account numbers

Recently, Citi issued additional cards with separate account numbers for authorized users. This immediately caused loss of points and incentives when used by various companies. It isn't possible to add multiple credit card numbers with various perks programs. I complained to Citi and they said they are working on that problem. I asked that all users in my family be issued cards with the same account number as the primary. I had to get more cards from another credit card company and re-register the new accounts with multiple companies.

Recommendation: If you are enrolled in loyalty or perks programs with multiple family members, us a credit card issued by a different bank
