Children's Place cheap quality

I decided to buy some baby clothing from this website www.childrensplace.com. First of all I really liked the products and found many cute things there. And I also liked the prices, everything was rather cheap.
When I received my order I was very disappointed with the quality. Everything looked very cheap and poorly made. So I actually received hat I paid for. Will never order anything from them again. And when I asked for a refund they refused and said that there was no reason for them to do that!

Children's Place customer service

I just wanted to say that the customer service is horrible at your store. The store manager is very rude and your associates don't want to be bothered with. The quality of your clothes is cheap and they fall apart after one wear. They don't allow you to bring back with a receipt. They say your kids are too hard on their clothing.

hi, i made a order september 4th or 5th, and i still haven't gotten my order. Please do not turn in any of my packages without me signing to let you guys know i have it, so this wont be a struggle for me.

Children's Place the place credit card

Please do not register for a "The Children's Place" credit card, also known as "The Place" credit card which is operated by Citi credit cards. I opened an account with The Childrens Place online because you recieve 20% off your first purchase made with the card and I had a substantial order since I was purchasing school uniforms for my son. I recieved my order without issue but it took almost 4 weeks to recieve my credit card in the mail. This was the first piece of information I received regarding my account. I did not recieve any statement, etc. prior to this. A few days later I set up to view my account online and to my surprise my first payment was past due and they charged me a $25 late fee and a minimum balance charge of 2.99 on a 35.00 balance. I sent a message to customer service via their online email and after 2 days it was still listed as "unread" even though it states they will be read within 2 days. I then called their customer service number and was directed to 'Citi' cards which operates their credit cards for them. That person could not help me get rid of the late fee because it was already in "collections". Per that persons advice I had to call back thru customer service and pretend that I didn't have an account so that I could be directed to someone that could help me. The next person I spoke with did delete the $25 late fee and the $2.99 min. charge but despite me telling them that I never received a statement because it was a new account they just continually told me that 'yes in todays environment with so many credit cards it is hard for people to keep track when things are due." I told them that I only have 3 credit cards and once my payments and credits go thru I will definately be cancelling this one. They never even apologized for the inconvenience. I will still purchase items from The Children's Place because as far as the clothing goes I have been relatively happy, but from now on I will use my own card.

First of all, I feel scammed into this card. The only reason I opened an account was because at checkout I was offered 30% off of an order if I signed up. My purchase was significant enough to make it worth the hassle. I clicked to sign up, put in all of my info, only for it to tell me I already had an account with them and they would just use my current card at check out. First of all, I was like what? Because I didn't even realize I had an account. Then I get to checkout and there was no pre-filled card info as promised so I proceeded with my purchase and checked out. Fast forward to a week or two later to find a brand new Place card in my mail welcoming me to a new account. I already had one, remember? So not only did they lie about me having an account already, denying me 30% off of my order but sent me a new account info and card. I called furious as I did not get the $90 off of my order. The person that spoke to me was so inept it is hard to even describe how pointless the whole conversation was. He kept saying he would give me a 30% off code for a future purchase. Why would I need to make a near future purchase when I had just purchased $300 worth of items? He said I could return the items and then re-purchase, but I would lose all rewards I had used on that purchase in the return and they wouldn't credit them back. So BEWARE when signing up for a card during checkout and beware of this company altogether. I love the clothes, but the service and rewards program is horrible. If I earn a $10 reward and use that $10 reward on a $11 item and then return that $11 item for an exhange or store gift card, I will only be refunded $1. They will not refund your $10 reward cash earned.

Lol I have been I a battle with them for months ! I can not get a bill from them! I don't use it often about 2 a year for kids clothing . I have good credit I just bought a new car and house this summer! I have tried to get email billing they won't set me up - I have asked for a paper bill to be sent to myself they told me that they can't send me one because I have moved ? But they want money . I origally made a purchase of under 30$ I got dinged on my credit - so I called they are soon as I got notice I asked what address they were sending my mail to they told me they couldn't tell me. Lol but my mail had been returned to them I talk with someone in collections because I was sent there! I have never had anything on my credit :( so very upset about that - after weeks of trying to get them to send me my bill I still don't have one even tho the collection agents have my correct address! Why won't they send me a bill . I have asked them to send me one or give me dates--- of sent back ones they would not . I have called the bbb on them and a online credit authority still nothing except the collection department calling me telling me they hit another month late on my credit they want almost 200 $ for fees if they sent me a bill and fix it I would pay! What I owe not fees for them not sending me one . One customer agent that I told I was unhappy and would be closing my act once I get a bill told me if that's how I feel to bad but I still owe wtf I have had this card for 4yrs - I also have other credit by citi homedepot ex.. And have no problems with them or getting my bills from them- don't get this card it a joke mostly there customer service it's sad when the people in collections are nicer then customer service.

i just had the same thing happen to me. i have never been late w/a payment w/them. iam disabled & having been having some problems. dec 2013 bill i was enable to pay my 25 payment so i paid 20 got a call about it being late the lady told me that if i paid the 5 she would wave the late fee. jan 2014 i pay 25 get a call saying i have a late payment to pay i said why because i didn't pay it for dec charge. they said they took the fee off my balance. my bal is 700 the lady said the balance is for the charges & fees. well i was told it was taking off my balance so what is the min. due. when i owed more it has been 25 for the last six months. i really do not understand but i will never be a customer of this company again. i will let others know how i was treated & not helped. every other credit card co takes the fee off if u make the payment. so done w/citibank & childrens place.

I signed in, paid my bill, and signed out. I then attempted to sign back in and it told me that the ID or password I used was incorrect (I cut & paste them, funny how it worked only minutes before). Their site is extremely difficult to find- you can't even get to it from Children's Place online. They never sent me a bill. When I signed in, the payment was due in less than a week. Of all my cards, this is the most frustrating one to pay. The costs far outweigh any benefits. Although I wasn't late paying, it was only because it seemed like quite a while since I paid on this card, so I decided to look at when my last payment was. I'm going to cancel this card as well.

I had this credit card for 6 years and I still have the same credit limit as the opening of the account. I have a stellar payment history paid in full every month for years. I have excellent credit and many other credit cards 2 of which are also Citibank cards. I do not understand this i had cards less than a year and received credit limit increases... ironically this is my oldest credit account and the lowest credit line.

Anniecat, I also feel this card is a bad bet. I cancelled mine today. I have had the card for a few years, but rarely used it as my kids are getting older. However, I used it and to my own fault the bill was mixed up in our tax preparations. I admit to our payment being late. However, I have always paid my bill in full and have an excellent credit rating so I called to see if they would consider waiving the $27.00 fee. (My original bill was $29.xx). I was told there was no way they were waiving my fee. When I expressed my suprise based on my credit history, I was told that since I was not a frequent user of the card there was no way they were going to waive my fee and Jonathan the customer service rep was rather nasty. I cancelled my card on the spot. The extra savings is not worth the hassle, especially since their customer service hours are very limiting to those who cannot wait on hold during the work day.

anniecat, I work for Citi and read your complaint. Let me be the first to apologize for the inconvenience we caused you. What you were told about the reason for not getting a statement being the fact that you had a new account is a poor excuse. So, I apologize for that, as well. I'm glad that we credited back the fees, but I'm sorry to hear you won't be a Citi customer anymore. However, I do understand your frustration. Please send me an email, because I'd like to see what can be done to try to keep your business. Please use both addresses below, let me know that you came from this site, and copy in your original post or link. Thank you.

Children's Place rude manager

I was shopping in the myrtle beach store on tuesday may 3rd, and overheard a loud conversation on the phone. the person on the phone was yelling at the customer on the other line, i felt this was truly ridiculous and unprofessional. ive never seen anything like this before at any other retailer the manager on the phone really needs to go. i cant believe the childrens place would employ someone like that .ive worked in retail for almost 20 years and ive never spoken to a customer like that.just thought someone should know!ive shopped at this store for over 5 years and honestly wont go back to this location!

I recently went to Children's Place in Sarasota, Fl with my children. First of all, every time I enter the store the new manager follows my children and I around. When we go into the dressing room, he goes into a room at the back of the store. When we come out he comes out. While my daughter was perusing the jewelry section he sent an associate over to tell me " your daughter likes jewelry" and that she thought that the bracelet she was wearing belonged to the store. Luckily the bracelet was very distinctive and had OBAMA written on it. I told her this. As we checked out she addressed my daughter and asked my 5 year old if she could see the bracelet. I just feel uncomfortable there. I won't be returning to the Children's Place in Sarasota again. I will definitely be making my purchases online from now on. The manager there moved their probably about a year and a half ago. Before he started working at the Children's Place, shopping there was very enjoyable.

Children's Place 2 1/2 hours to order 9 items

I was very upset today I was trying to order items for a New Grandbaby on-line for Childrens Place. I ordered 9 items the website shut down 6 times I made 3 phone calls and in the end still had to call again to make sure 1. the order went thru and 2 that it only went through once. Phone service confirmed that Yes it was only one order however, I issued a complaint to the customer rep. and asked to receive a phone call back. I will be very surprised it that happens. I don't think I will order on line again. 2 1/2 hours I could have drive to the store bought the items and sent them myself.

Children's Place lousy exchange policy

This company has the worst return/exchange policy of any children's store I know. Their policy states items must have "tags attached" in order to return or exchange them. I can understand that policy for a return, but an exchange is another matter all together. Here's what happened. I purchased a pair of pants for my son for Xmas. Sometime after receiving the gift, and unbeknownst to me, my son went to try on the pants and removed the tags. He then came to me and said the pants were too small. Knowing the exchange/return policy, I thought surely they would understand this situation. He's a child. Please. Anyway, I went to the store with pants, tags, and original purchase receipt. They would not exchange the pants. I didn't want my money back. I simply wanted my son to have his Xmas gift - and one that fit. They would not exchange the pants. "Company policy". Everyone should know how little this company cares about customer service. DO NOT SHOP AT THIS STORE.

That is actually NOT the company policy of The Children's Place, that's just an employee being lazy. The only way a return/exchange would be turned down was is the product had been washed/worn, more than a year old, or damaged(not due to manufacture defect). Yes, an associate would PREFER the tags be attached so they won't have to make a new one and attach it, but 80% of returns come without tags. So that experience can't be blamed on the company as a whole. Just one associate too lazy to up hold the, "Yes, I can do that." attitude required by employees.

Children's Place very poor management no leadership

I'm an employee working as a Team leader in management our so called district manager Becca. Has no clue how to run this store appropriately we have over 50 employees at this location .With a total management team of over 10 different manager's who don't set rules for the worker's . This store is so Bad that we have 3 shifts running 7 days a week. Due to the day and evening manager's that possess laziness and lack of leading the Team and our store to be more organized. The nightshift was just added to our store for month's now and it's pathetic. This is because of the manager's who dont mind worker's calling sick EVERYDAY. We have had scheduled employees call in numerous times an hour before their starting shift saying they are not coming in today 8 people 5, 4, 10 people sometimes it's BS cause management allows this regularly. Since I've been there for month's now coming from another location I've never seen such Poor Management in life since working for Children's Place ( Canada ). We have 5 manager's who are men at this store who constantly harass the ladie's sexually with comments on our clothing wondering eye's and hands. Wearing heavy cologne flirting with customer's and worker's it's getting to the point where nobody wants to come in .
Please can you make sure that head office trully DOES SOMETHING for this store and set stronger rules for the management team to obey and observe the behaviour to employees regularly. We have half the employees that will take this straight to the ontario labour board A.S.A.P if actions don't resolve soon .

Children's Place consumer beware - poor quality of clothing

I purchased 4 pairs of pants (2 jeans and 2 cords) for my teenage daughter 3 weeks ago on 10/23/2010. I have the original receipt, but my daughter removed the tags. I washed one pair of jeans and discovered 2 medium size holes in the back of one of the legs. My daugther wears a uniform to school, so she only wears the jeans on weekends. I expect better quality from my clothing then 3 weekends of wear. I am extremely disappointed in the quality of these pants. I want the consumer to beware. Children's Place great prices come with a price. I guess you get what you pay for.

Children's Place system went down at the end of sale

Children's Place's website goes down right before the sale is over? How convenient, right when I want to buy something on the last day of the sale (9-12-10), your system is down for an upgrade. Why couldn't this be done the day after the sale. I was gonna buy 2 of these expensive jackets at the sales price of $39.95, regular price $49.95. I had to speak to a supervisor because customer service reps have no power or authority. I spoke to a supervisor and after arguing with her i finally got a 15% code: cstf15vqryk8a or code: h2c2010, after all this, I don't want to buy anything from you, no sale.

I purchased a $125 gift card for a family member who lives in another State. After 1 1/2 weeks, the package wasn't received. I went to the store & contacted customer service to have the card camcelled. I was told there's nothing they can do. This makes no sense, the numbers are on the receipt. The gift card was swiped for activation.

I ordered a bunch of Christmas gifts online on December 7th. They didn't ship until December 19! And the estimated delivery day is Dec 29th. What did they do in that 10 days? And received email "GUARANTEE TO DELIVER BEFORE CHRISTMAS". Will be return everything because they are now useless.

I made a purchase on Dec. 19th. Even though web site says free shipping. They charged $5. for shipping! I am looking for $5. credit to my account. I called company and talked to Andra G. Case# 3749997. Andrea G. emailed me back and confirm to me that will be credited to my account! Where is my credit?

Hello I just bought joggers for my 8, 7 and 1 year old boys and after two wash they all ripped. I spent a lot of money on these clothes and it shouldn't rip after two wash. I lost my receipt and I need a refund on these pants. I bought 4 each for my three boys and almost all of them rip

They refuse to refund my money or clothes, I have ordered from here from years I called them several times and spoke to the representatives who where very rude and would not help me at all I had spend over 200 dollars in clothes it was my children's soring wardrobe

i made a big order the same day for picking up in the store since i was leaving the country that day. and for some reason one of the items were pushed for shipping, well i left the country that day so i have nothing to do with that item. this was not my bad so i ask to be refunded.

I will never shop there again, i received an outfit for my daughter for her birthday. Well of course they didn't give me a receipt so I cant return it so I'm stuck with something that I cant use and money is being wasted not cool.
