I had an appt. at St. Lukes to get a stent in my heart for a 100% blockage. I arrived and was told that I had a $500 co pay, which they could have told me before so I could have made arrangements. I told the representative that I did not have $500 right now. The representative took my identification arm band away from me and told me that I would have to reschedule my surgery. I told her if I leave the hospital, I could have a heart attack and die, she replied that it wasn't her problem. She was very short with me, putting her hand up motioning for me to go away. Someone seriously needs to look into how they are treating patients. My brother finally talked her into taking $100 as a down payment for me to get my surgery but I cannot believe that they would have me leave and put my life in jeopardy for $100.
Recommendation: Do NOT deal with this hospital, no one monitors their customer service.
