I already gave feedback to CTP Director Logan Gelzer about my experience with the Certified Translation Professional Program. I purchased the Translation Portion only exam over the phone on 2/8/18 and was scheduled to take it on 3/7/2018. Gelzer assured me that he had added my name to the spreadsheet and would email me the test initiation form and password on 3/5. However, despite receiving a generic receipt, I had to send an email requesting an exam confirmation as per our discussion on 2/8. Unfortunately, I did not receive the test initiation form and password, nor did I receive a response to my email or my voice message on 3/5 and 3/6 respectively. It wasn't until 3/7 at 9:34am EST, after I called Gelzer again and spoke to him on the phone, that he finally emailed me the test initiation form and password.

Initially, Gelzer informed me that I had until 3/8 at 1:00am EST to take the CTP exam. However, since he sent me the necessary information to start the exam over 9.5 hours after the exam window was supposed to begin, I requested a full 24 hours to complete the exam. After all, that's what I had paid for and what everyone had been promised. The narrower time constraints were beyond my control. Thankfully, Gelzer agreed to allow me the full 24 hours to complete the exam.

The customer service representative promised to honor the price that I saw last week. She mentioned that she would send me an email regarding this matter. They don't even bother to respond to my emails, and if you dare to call them, be prepared for the worst customer service you've ever experienced. It's a complete scam, I tell you!

I really hope you can send me a proper receipt for my payment. I've asked for it three times before today, but I still haven't gotten one. It's important that the receipt is accurate and includes the time, date, and the exact amount I paid, which was $99.00 USD. It should also clearly state what I paid for and who I paid it to.
