I have spent thousands of dollars with this company and ordered another carport i Needed. This time it was 3900.00 order . After two months of waiting and calling asking there installation manager about my order I cancelled it . Now the order was placed on 6/21/2018 I cancelled at the end of August still no delivery time. Here it is October 19th and I still have not received my 624.00 deposit back ! After calling and talking to Christine. She calls me today and says they are refunding my deposit in 5 to 7 business days. And will be holding a 25.00 dollars cancellation out of my refund. 10/19/2018. Do not use these people they are not loyal to there customers and will ask there customers to pay for there own problems and mistakes. I have spent over 30, 000 dollars with these folks and will never spend another dime.
carport.com customer service
do not purchase anything from this company, they lie and do not provide any customer service. purchased 2 carports from them at different times and none were delivered after taking my deposit, both were canceled due to not showing up for installation after many calls and rescheduling and now I have to fight to get my depsits back. be warned, they are crooks.
carport - barn installed
Beware This Company!
Doing business as Barns.com, carports.com and also TNT carports, this company will make you promises, take your money, and then not deliver and ignore you.
They were very responsive to all my inquiries during the sales process. The moment I gave my down payments, it all changed.
I received the drawings after giving my down payment, but needed a signature from the contractor in order to file my permit - several weeks of emails and phone calls got us several promises but no actual signature.
I was promised delivery and installation before the winter, but couldn't get a response from the scheduling people. Seven weeks later after multiple calls and emails I finally got Courtney, the scheduling person, on the phone. She proceeded to tell me I missed the deadline for before winter delivery, and how behind the installation people were because of the weather. When I told her I had documentation from the sales person that I had met the deadline, she offered to transfer me to the sales manager.
I explained the situation to Fidel Martinez, the sales manager, including the fact that I was over $1000 into the site prep and permitting, all because I was promised delivery before the winter. He promised to "have my back' and speak to scheduling immediately and get back to me. Two days later after not hearing back and leaving messages, I got Courtney from scheduling on the phone, who told me she had never heard anything from the sales manger, and then transferred me to his voicemail. I left him another message.
The next day I called and spoke with Kim, the customer service manager, and explained the situation. She promised to speak with Courtney and Fidel and have someone get back to me. Of course, no one did. The next morning I called and left a message for both Kim and Fidel telling them that I wanted the courtesy of a return call to let me know the situation by noon, or I would consider that I was the victim of fraud.
At 12:30p, I filed a complaint with my credit card company to get my deposit back. Around 3pm Fidel left me message to call him, which I did, got his voicemail, gave him my home and cell phone number, and of course, never heard back.
There were any number of ways they could have handled this to resolve things, starting with acknowledging that they had made an error, and trying to make it right. Instead they lied, delayed and hoped I would just go away.

Lied to on phone several times.
Ordered a metal structure on 10/01/2014 was told it would be installed before Thanksgiving. Received an email saying there install widow for my area was 2-6 weeks. When I called to do a follow up on my install I was told " sugar that aint gonna happen" it will probably be the middle of next year before it gets installed.
Why not be upfront with the customer if you're having scheduling issues instead of lying to get their money and pissing them off later.
If I had it to do all over I would have done my research and went somewhere else.
No Response!! 12 weeks later!
I initially placed a order with Carports.com on 6/20/14. After several phone calls for weeks, all initiated by me, they were going to install the carport, 11 WEEKS LATER. FINALLY, I drove down 4 hours to be there when the job was done. After getting down there the day before the install, I received a phone call telling me that they were NOT going to install...

Their website says delivery in 2 to 4 weeks. They will lie to you. I ordered a garage from them 10 weeks ago, march 28, 2006, with a 10% deposit. 6 weeks later, it was installed on 5/13/2006, a day late, and without installing the 10x8 foot garage door. When i called them on friday, may 12, the day it was supposed to be delivered, and they said they were running late, i asked if that meant they would be there saturday. The reply was "i'll call you and let you know." they didn't call and since they close at 4 pm on friday and are not open weekends, i couldn't contact them. I live 4 1/2 hours away from this property. They did show up saturday but said they couldn't install the garage door because a bracket was missing. What good is a garage without the door? The installer said they might install the door monday, may 15. The garage was constructed using 14 gage frame, and i had specified over and over to both companies that i wanted 12 gage. 4 weeks later, they have yet to install the door, because they don't have anybody going up that way.
Today is june 9, 2006, and they are supposed to be up next week to resolve this. I've heard this crap before. They are supposed to call me this weekend, according to gabriel ortalaza at carports.com. This is a lie because i know carolina carports is closed on the weekends. My advice is stay away from these businesses, unless you like to wait and wait and wait and be lied to.
June 10, my neighbor in indiana calls me to inform me that my atv was stolen from the garage. The atv was double chained into 30 inches of concrete in the ground, inside the building.
June 12, 2006, gabriel ortalaza from carports.com emails me. He is very sorry my atv got stolen from the garage, but it is not his fault and that i will receive a call this week about installing the door.
Today is june19, 2006, no call from carolina carports.
June 22, 2006, we are now at 12 weeks after i ordered building and after almost 6 weeks with no door on it. Brenda, from carolina carports mississippi office, calls to ask if my carport has been repaired yet. She tells me it will be done tuesday, june 27, but i must give her directions again on how to get there. I can't email it, because they have no computers there. I told her the directions.
June 27, 6:15 pm javier(i don't know his real name because he doesn't speak english very well, so i will call him javier) calls to tell me he is there to put up door. Hoooorah
June 29, i call javier to confirm the door is installed. He says yes, door is up, send check to company. The balance is to be paid when the job is finished.
July 1, 4 pm my neighbor calls and asks if i had been down to the property. He is standing inside my building and there are tire tracks in the driveway. I said it was probably the guys installing the door. He tells me the door is still lying on the floor not installed.
July 1, 4:30 pm i call javier and ask why he told me the door was installed if it wasn't. He said he had no generator that day and the road was closed. Liar liar. If he didn't have a generator, why did he show up at all? The original contract stated they would need one. They need one to put the building up. It is now 7 weeks since the building was put up and it still has no 10x8 foot door.
No Carport Delivery, No Customer Service
Talk about two companies with no concern for delivering what you paid for! In the second half of October 2010, I purchased a carport from LostValleyCarport.com, who apparently is a rep company for Coast to Coast carports. Lost Valley carport was very quick to take the 10% down payment and I was told it would be 2-3 weeks until it was delivered and installed. Well, it is now 9 weeks later and I still have no carport!. After waiting four weeks and not hearing anything I contacted Lost Valley carports. No help. I was provided a phone number for the scheduling manager at Coast to Coast carports and was told to call them. Why am I doing this? Left three messages for this person at Coast to Coast. No return calls whatsoever! Five weeks after placing the order (end of November 2010) I received a call from Coast to Coast carports scheduling my installation for 12/7/2010. I arranged my business trip around this and said okay. At 5:00 PM the day before the installation I received a phone call from C to C canceling the appointment with a reason of "the material truck didn't show up". Give me a break. What reputable company schedules an installation without having the materials? The company then wanted me to rearrange my schedule to support an installation on Thursday that week instead (12/9/2010). No can do, I'm on a business trip. I told them I needed this installed during the week of 12/20/2010, and they said okay. At the last minute that week C to C called to schedule the installation for Thursday, 12/23/2010. Within 24 hours they had called again to cancel and said they would be there Wednesday the following week (12/29/2010). At that time I asked for a discount for all the inconvenience and was offered 5% off. Oh gee! Hold me back on that one! So, the next week when C to C is supposed to be there I get a call on Monday 12/27/2010 canceling again and re-scheduling to Friday 12/31/2010 with the same lame material truck not here excuse. Two days later I get yet another call saying they can't make Friday and will be there Saturday 1/1/2011. Since I'm very tired of re-scheduling my life around these people I requested another 15% off my order and told them I do not believe for a minute that they will be here on Saturday. C to C denied the additional 15% discount for my inconvenience and promised they would be there on Saturday. Yesterday, 12/30/2010 (Thursday), I get two calls from this company. The first is from some guy with such bad English that I can't even understand what he said. The second is from the scheduling office stating the crew refuses to work the weekend so we won't be there until until Wednesday, January 5th 2010. Who runs this company, the equipment installers? Good grief. At that point I asked for the owners name and I spoke to the scheduling manager. I asked the scheduling manager if they even care about customer service. The answer was yes, but as usual there was nothing they could do, and they would not offer any additional discounts for the (5) cancellations. At that point I canceled my order, and I'm here now sharing my experience so no one else will make the same mistake. When we asked to be put in contact with the owner we were given the run around about the owner is never there and hard to contact. When we asked to be duly compensated for all these cancellations the supervisor we spoke to at Coast to Coast (Gail) told us that the owners attitude is to lose an order and a customer rather than do whatever is needed to make it right for their customers. When I'm done here I will be sending links to this complaint board to Coast to Coast so they can see what kind of reputation they are building.
My advice: DON'T EVER DEAL WITH COAST TO COAST CARPORTS OR ANYONE SELLING THEIR PRODUCTS. YOU WILL BE SEVERELY FRUSTRATED AND DISAPPOINTED.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
I had a carport installed in March of 2020 by Lostvalley carport and was very pleased, I was also concerned by the above comments but I talked with John and felt comfortable using him and I am glad I did everything went just as we agreed upon . He was very helpful with answering my questions and had making useful suggestions . I would highly recommend him and his contractor .
I have read the complaints and am somewhat confused. I contracted with Lost Valley Carports to install a 12x45 carport over my 40 foot trailer. John of Lost Valley scouted the best deal for me., I chose the Coast to Coast carport because of a sale price that saved me a few hundred dollars and gave John the required deposit. John followed through getting all the permits and worked with Coast to Coast to assure a prompt build. I have nothing negative to say about the whole process. Lost Valley was prompt, courteous and handled all details in an expeditious manner. The Coast to Coast crew were also courteous, efficient and cleaned up everything including using a magnet to assure no screws were left in drive or yard. I am very happy with my carport and would recommend Lost Valley and Coast to Coast to anyone.
"Ditto" the above two comments. I too cannot get a response from BRITT SCOTT or anyone else at Lost Valley Carports. They got their $178 deposit and their job is done. Emails are ignored and six months later I am still waiting. Too bad for me I guess. Two of my neighbors intended to purchase carports, waiting to see mine, but it never happened for me. Now we have $169 Costco carports and two of us (not me) saved getting $crewed out of the "deposit". I'll contact C to C next to FAX them my contract just to see their response? ANY offers by them can go to hell...
Well I can say that after the person you purchase the carport from he will blow you off and not return phone calls, they just want to get your money and then the hell with you, had to go through Coast to Coast for the rest of the process, in fact CC was more helpful then Lost Valley Carports, so to "HELL" with Lost Valley just go thrugh Coast to Coast, got additional panels and an upgrade to 12 g. Would not recommend LOST VALLEY CARPORTS but do support Coast to Coast.
Customer service stinks/install problems
Customer service stinks! Had 2 appointments to get the carport installed and they never showed up. I live 100 miles from the install site. After waiting all day Monday (8 AM Appointment) TNT carports calls and says the installers truck broke down. She said it will have to be rescheduled. She calls Wednesday and says it will be installed at 2 PM Friday. After waiting all day at the site I drove 100 miles home. The installer calls at 8 PM and says his truck broke down. He says he wants to install Saturday. He says he'll call back in 90 mins. I'm waiting. Can't call customer service because they don't answer the phone and never return calls. It's a pain waiting all day at the site and holding my cell phone wondering what's going on. Sick twisted uncaring ###! Stay away from these people!
TNT Carports aka Carports.com
Still no Carport
I purchased a carport from Lloyd Johnson on 06/18/10. He e-mailed me an offer which I accepted and gave him a 10% deposit over the phone the same day. On 07/06/10 I finally received the color samples he told me were sent on 06/19/10. They actually had to be sent a second time according to Mr Johnson because I never received the 1st ones. I don't believe the first ones were ever sent. I had also been waiting for a receipt for my purchase which I did not receive until 07/06/10. When I got it it was not for what Mr. Johnson had sold me. 18 days after I made my purchase from Mr Johnson he tells me over the phone he will get the receipt corrected and e-mail me a correct copy. 6 more days go by and today on 07/13/10 I received an e-mail not a phone call that states he made a mistake and he is going to contact customer service to see about getting a refund. What a guy. The carport should have been installed by now. It has been over 3 weeks. You can't tell me that in over 3 weeks he did not know there was a problem. Just no guts to tell me until the e-mail today. He wasted over 3 weeks of my time and many frustaiting phone calls being passed from person to person with no help. These people don't care. I wonder if the owner does. Doing some research I find that Carports .com Is owned by TNT Carports and They also own Coast to Coast Carports. When you call any of the phone numbers they go to TNT in NC. To the owner of these companies you have quite the crew working for you. Not one person out 6 people I talked with cared one little bit. They have no good work ethics. I just wonder if their installers work as good as the office personial. My advise after this wonderful sales experiance. If you are thinking of buying anything from these people it would be more enjoyable to hit yourself in the finger with a hammer. Not that you should do that either. From one HAPPY customer NOT!
Ordered June 10th, still waiting. After threatening to call owner and post info on line asked for a 2 week grace until today, last night guy calls says his brakes went and cant be here by 8 a.m. . The company had called earlier in week to schedule telling me they were sending a crew and foreman from NC to MA warehouse to pick it up and deliver just our carport to NJ. The guy I called hardly spoke English last night ... wonder if it will show up today? Of course when you call the numbers you get the recording and no person. Going online now to pay for the owners info to call him personally and post all the info for anyone else who might need it to post. This company has an F rating with NC BBB. 55 complaints in the last 2 years that's is as far back as they post. ICE might want to check their employment records to see if their people are even legal. Deport if not.
Three guyts came to build my 24x24x10 Shop, they did an excellent job, they got to my house a little after lunchtime on a monday, and worked till 10:00pm. arrived at 7:00am the next day and started working, a bad thunderstorm rolled through and rained for about 4hrs, and they worked through it, soaking wet. they did excellent work, They were very nice people, and i never heard much from them, only when they had a question. Then when they were done, they asked me to look at it, and if i had a problem they would fix it before I paid them the money. The shop looked great, through the whole storm, nothing leaked, when they were done they picked up all trash, and asked if everything was ok through their broken english, before they left. I am very satisfied.
I have had equally bad luck with all 3 of these companies. No shows, cancellations, phone messages ignored. It wasn't until recently that I became aware of the fact that they are all the same outfit. Customer Reps, if you ever get thru, are extremely rude! Its been almost 18mos now and I still do not have a carport! AVOID THESE PEOPLE AT ALL COSTS! I have filed complaints with my State Attorney Generals Office and the NC BBB.
You get nothing for your money
I placed an order with a Harry Folger at Carports.com for a steel carport to be erected on my property in Texas. I have his emails assuring me that it only takes two weeks for delivery and that they would erect it in one day. Now, I am not stupid; I heard him when he told me that his company gets 10% of the total order in exchange for writing the order, however after three weeks I have not been contacted by T-N-T Carports who are identified as the manufacturer in the emails from carports.com. For the past week I have called T-N-T daily and left messages at every extension on their voice-mail system. There are no humans there and no one has ever returned my call. I then tried to contact Carports.com, but it's the same story. It's been a month now and nobody returns my calls or emails. Why do they think I'm going to pay them for this 'service'?
Fortunately, I paid the down payment to Carports.com using a credit card, so I'm going to challenge the payment with my credit card company. Perhaps that will get them to respond.
My advice to others is DO NOT place an order with Carports.com; go directly to the manufacturer.
Wednesday 1/6/10 11:00 am I called their NC office. 'Rose' answered ; will get Laura; Laura, "Let me call my installer and I'll call you right back." She calls back and says they will be on site in an hour, that would be noon. I took the afternoon off from work and went out to the site. At a little after three o'clock a truck and trailer pulls up with three nice young mexican fellows who didn't speak a word of english. I pointed to the 4 stakes I set where I wanted the carport and less than 2 hours later it was done and they were gone leaving a large oil spill in my driveway from their poor old truck. Lots of aggravation but a nice product when they finally showed up.
12/28 One week after placing this complaint on complaintsboard.com I got a call from Harry Folger. He said that 'the boss' just told him I had posted an online complaint and that he would get to the bottom of it right away. He called back a few minutes later to tell me that he had spoken with 'Laura' at the manufacturer (TNT Carports) and that she says they never got my order. Carports.com charges 10% of the total cost for one service: to pass your order on to the manufacturer. I got my credit card bill and there's a charge for the 10% down payment ($180.) plus $70. shipping for the 'free side covers'. The covers came and it's just a couple of yards of fabric cut off the bolt. The credit card charge is made out to "TNT Carports, Inc", not Carports.com, the name on the reciept.
Later in the day Laura calls to tell me that they will be delivering my carport in one week on Monday, 1/4/10.
On 1/4/10 at 8:00 am 'Maria' called to say they were not able to load on Saturday so they would not be there to deliver the materials until the next afternoon with construction to be completed on Wednesday. 1/6/10.
On 1/5/10 I took the afternoon off from work and went to the job site. No one showed up or called my cell. Today is Wednesday 1/6/10 and I'm still waiting for that call.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
OMG... I was thinking of getting my carport from them since they had a style with the utility building on the side that no one else offers.. Today is 10/10/12.. Well guess I will check out Eagle Carports or Carolina Carports. Thanks for the heads up.. Will definately check out BBB.org on all these outfits Before I order.. But I heard they can take 1-6 weeks from the time they get your $ before they actually send a crew out to build them. Wonder if they are deliberately extending the date out to 60 days so you can't challenge them on your credit card.. (You only have a 60 day window. ) Maybe getting one pre built from Lowe's is a better Idea... Lowe's I can trust with my $
Beware of them
I submitted a quote for a patio cover at my house, Mr. Dampier from the company called me and we made an appointment to meet at my house, after agreeing on a price and signed a contract he asked me for half down payment 750 dollars and was told somebody was going to deliver the materials in 5 to seven days, that was October 20, 2007. Is now June 2008 and guess what? That was the last time I heard from them. Mr Dampier cashed my check and never called me or came back, never answered any phone calls or written letters.
Just to let you know buyer beware, never do business with Mr. James Dampier. He just stole $750 from me, money I gave them in good faith, may he rot in ***. Go ahead call [protected] to get a rip off.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Had similar problems with them--changed my schedule 3 times to deal with bad attitudes, poor workmanship. Now stuck with off-square building that has warped roof and leaks--exploring legal options at this time.
I googled the phone number you posted and it came up carports unlimited of Texas not carports.com.
I ordered a 20x21 carport from carports.com on September 9th, finally received delivery of the unit on October 19th. Allow two to three weeks delivery my ###. A group of 4 Mexicans delivered the carport, one of the four spoke english and it was broken at that. I showed them where to put it as I am constructing it myself and as I did I noticed a bottle on the ground and asked the english speaking guy to please pick his bottle up out of my driveway. he said "ok" and I left to go back to work. I came home on my lunch break to find what looked like they opened the doors of their truck and kicked all the garbage from the floor of the truck to my driveway. After I cleaned up their mess I went and checked out the pile of carport parts and noticed that the sheet steel for the gable ends were missing. I got back to work and called the company was transfered to a voicemail to which I left a message. Never got a return call. Called again the next day three times and left messages all three times. On the last message I told them if I did not receive a call back by noon the next day I was calling my bank and cancelling the check I wrote to the driver. Low and behold I got a phone call. The woman told me that she would check into the problem and call me back. The next day my check cleared the bank and I received a call from the woman saying all of the pieces were delivered and there was nothing that they could do about the problem and she hung up on me. Nice people. Spend some time researching the companies before you call them, it will save you time and aggravation.
I ordered a carport from these people two weeks ago. theye said they would deliver it and two illegal mexicans showed up form their office, unloaded their truck and a border patrol car passed and they immediately started re-loading their truck and asaid they would be back. I have had to call them several time and they never will return my phone calls. I have a deposiut with them that I am trying to get back. beware of this company. All talk, No followup and excuses. I wil be going to the Texas Attorney Generals Office.

WE TOO BOUGHT FROM CAROLINA CARPORTS. BIG, BIG MISTAKE. SO FAR THE BUILDING LOOKS OKAY, , BUT THE DOORS DON'T WORK RIGHT. WE ARE OLD PEOPLE AND IT IS ALL MY HUSBAND CAN DO CLOSE AND LOCK THE DOORS. I WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO DO THAT. WHEN WE DISCOVERED THIS PROBLEM, I STOPPED PAYMENT ON MY CHECK. I TOLD THEM I WOULD PAY WHEN THE DOORS WERE REPAIRED. THEY CAME BACK, AND TOLD MY HUSBAND HE WOULD HAVE TO SPREAD HIS FEET 4 TO 5 FEET APART TO GET THE DOORS TO LOCK.. THE LATCH DOES NOT LINE UP AS IT SHOULD. I WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO LOCK THESE DOORS AS IS. I HAVEN'T GIVEN THEM ANOTHER CHECK YET. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE. I WISH I HAD READ ALL THE COMPLAINTS FIRST. I WAS TOLD THEY WERE IN GOOD STANDING, THE BEST, AT BBB. NEVER BELIEVE ANYONE, CHECK FOR YOURSELF.
On May 9, 2014 I ordered and paid a down payment on large carport building. They promised to install in a few weeks. After several months and complaints to the BBB, they have finally installed it. But, I yet to receive the 'free' weather blocker sides, for which I paid $49 for shipping.
My Carolina Carport Inc. (CCI) purchase was a positive experience for a top quality product backed with great customer service. My CCI building is the showcase of my neighborhood in looks and quality. The (CCI) team was first class, friendly, organized and very helpful to ensure my building was scheduled and completed to my satisfaction, they are very accommodating. The CCI team helped me with any permitting questions and coached me through the inspection process to ensure everything passed. I researched carports for months to find CCI carports are top quality, promote excellent value, and provide the best customer experience to ensure you are completely satisfied with your purchase.
I also wanted to share that CCI has many brokers offering their products and in some cases the broker may not return calls etc… please do not let this be a reflection of the CCI customer service, they returned calls ASAP.
Same experience. Waited from 10/2014 - 03/2015. Constant phone calls and promises of delivery on their part. They've got it down to a science. Finally cancelled my order for non-performance and have been waiting for a month for my refund - several calls and more promises. Check's in the mail. My problem is that they deducted 70% from my checking acct for my down payment instead of 10%. Since they promised that I'd have the carport in 4-6 weeks I foolishly told them to keep it and I would have less of a balance to pay after installation. Spoke with a couple of honest people toward the end of all this who told me that most employees are not even there over the winter months and that independent contractors do their installs - they don't have emplyees who do that. If I don't see the check in the next few days it's time to file a consumer complaint with the NC Atty Genl's Office. After that it's time to file a civil suit and take them to a jury trial where I will be going for the refund, damages for my aggravation and atty's fees. As long as I've spent this much time and aggravation, I'll see it through to the end. A little extra effort and a trip to NC is no big deal. You'd think after using over a thousand dollars of my money interest free for 6 months they'd be ready to send it back but I guess it takes all kinds.
Although my complaint may not seem as bad as the preceeding complaints, I feel after reading these prior reviews that I must express my experience with this company as well.
During January of 2014, I went to a local private Carolina Carport dealer. My very first experience was that of poor customer service, nonchalant, "it is what it is" personality. I did place the order with this dealer and waited, as instructed, for a call for installation. It should be noted that I was told at the initial order that they were out of the color to put a door on the end of this building and that I would have to give them a few weeks to get that color and order the door separately. I was quoted a "$300.00" price at that time for the door and installation. When the call did not come within the time frame promised, I called the company number that was given to me by the dealer. (The dealer had been very specific at the time of the order and down payment of 10% that it was "out of my hands" after the order was placed.) When the call was answered, I explained my order and was basically told "oh yeah", as if they had forgotten to call me. They then told me that someone would be returning my call. I waited a few more days and did get the call wanting to schedule installation.
On the day of installation, I must say, the guys installing were expeditious, polite and appeared to install a quality building. When completely installed, I inquired again about the door. The installers told me again that they were out of the material in the color that I needed and that I would have to call them back at a later date. He also confirmed the $300.00 price tag.
I waited over 9 months and called the company again in November of 2014. I spoke with "Haley". She stated that she would handle my order and call me back. She also confirmed the $300.00 price tag. I waited for over a week for Haley's return call and never got it. I called the company back and was able to get Haley on the phone. She stated that she had my order on her desk on the "to do list" and would call me back. I waited another week and got no return call. On November 18, 2014, I called again and when I asked for Haley, I was told that she was with another customer and would call me back. NO CALL AGAIN!
On December 30, 2014 I called back AGAIN...and AGAIN, asked for Haley. The lady I was speaking with stammered, not really commenting whether Haley was available or not and I then reiterated this entire sequence of events. After my book full of events were dispelled on this lady, she stated, "well sir, Haley doesn't even handle orders such as this...you need to be speaking with our ordering department". OK, WELL CAN I SPEAK WITH THEM! I was then transferred to Javier. Well, fun, fun, fun. I repeated this whole library of books of events to Javier. His immediate response was "sir, we don't ever run out of colors...you must have been told wrong". I replied, "well, let's get this order going since you obviously have the color of the door that I need". He hammered around in the background for a while saying that he was still trying to look me up. After a while he said he found the order and again, asked what size building I had. I figured he should know that since he had just confirmed that he'd found my original order but told him anyway. His response was then that one door for this building was over $700.00. I argued this as I'd been told numerous times that the price was $300.00. He went into a whole litany of reasons why the one door was over $700.00 for a building that cost just over $1000.00 total. After all of this, I decided at that moment that enough is enough. All I can say is WOW!
To sum this up, it will be a cold day in Hadez before I EVER call this company for anything again. The customer service from the private dealer to the reps over the phone is outrageously out of step (to say it lightly) and not at all practicing kindness, satisfaction or "please come back to see us" mentality. I've lived over 49 years of my life practicing the principle of "treat people the way you want to be treated...especially those who help pay your bills". I expect nothing for free and always expect to pay for service rendered. A business is built on reputation of good service, honesty and ethical treatment of others. I'm not sure how this company has grown to it's current size, other than maybe they started with the right principle and lost their way at some point. To Carolina Carports, I say this, "keep up the good work and see just how long you stay in business".
My experience is the same, horrible customer service, delays and lies, finally canceled. Be careful they operate under several names
We too have had nothing but lies and disappointment from Carolina Car ports. We purchased a carport the first of August. They said it would take 2-6 weeks to deliver. It is now Dec., four months later and still no carport. They have scheduled delivery 3 times and didn't show up. They have our money and have refused to give us a refund but still no delivery. Spoke to a lawyer, he said to speak to a supervisor, explain the situation and tell them that if they do not make the scheduled appointment and install the carport today or issue us a full refund, we will file suit. I called them, told them what my lawyer said and they assured me someone would show up today to install the carport. Waiting to see what happens. I would never buy from this company again and would not recommend them to anyone!
I am so aggravated! We place an order in September with the same 10% down. And have been patient with waiting...Now after several calls and 10 weeks later, was lied to two weeks ago they stated that we were in the Que for next week. LIE last week called to find out when...Lied to and said that they are really backed up due to WEATHER! (really... what weather? "rain") Was told Friday 11.21.14 that she "the lady that deals with the scheduling" that she would call me back by 4:30 Friday...LIE, because that call never came!
I am sick and tired of their BULL____! I have tried to find a manager/owner to file a real complaint with. but can not seem to find anything!
Wish I new a better place to do business with, because these people do not know the first thing about running a good company, let alone any costumer service!
I ordered and placed 10% deposit for 18x22 carport from independent dealer. Was told 4-6wks for delivery. Company rescheduled delivery date 4 times and showed up on a Saturday October 18th 2014. Company did not have all support beams, short one for set up. Today is 22 Nov 14, have not heard from Company since 18 October. My wife took two days of work off for previous delivery dates that were rescheduled on short notices. Company is not open on Saturdays, yet they have there service technicians on the road. Recommend not doing business, I am canceling my order and hope to get my deposit back, we shall see how that works out.
