I am writing this letter to formally lodge a complaint against the Branch Manager / Branch Staff - (Mr. Vijay & Mr. Nirmal) of Canara Bank, Budhana - Muzaffarnagar, located at Budhana, regarding an incident that occurred on 19 May 2025.
On the said date, a senior citizen — Mr. Charan Singh S/O Late. Bharat Singh, aged 73 — visited the branch to complete a mandatory KYC update. Instead of receiving courteous assistance, they were met with rude and unprofessional behavior by the Branch Manager / Branch Staff – (Mr. Vijay & Mr. Nirmal). Despite being a senior citizen, Mr. Charan Singh was spoken to in a disrespectful tone, subjected to unnecessary delays, and was made to feel humiliated in front of other customers.
This conduct is not only deeply disappointing but also goes against the values of respect, care, and dignity that banks, especially nationalized banks like Canara Bank, are expected to uphold — particularly towards senior citizens who have contributed significantly to society.
Such behavior reflects poorly on the institution and causes distress to loyal customers. It is imperative that bank staff, especially those in managerial positions, maintain a professional and empathetic attitude at all times.
I request you to take immediate and appropriate action in this matter. Kindly investigate the incident and take steps to ensure that such incidents are not repeated. A written apology from the concerned manager and a reminder on customer service standards would be a fitting response.
