How responsive is Camper's customer service?

Very poor 🤒
We don't know much about how Camper handles customer complaints outside ComplaintsBoard, but what we see here, on our website, is quite disappointing. We think there might be reasons for the company's actions (like not knowing about the complaints), and we would be happy to see them among customer-focused businesses that easily solve customer problems. But until that happens, we ask reviewers to be cautious when dealing with Camper and using their services, and to carefully read the experiences of other customers on ComplaintsBoard, because who is warned is armed, you know! 💪

Camper Shoes London covent garden store

I bought a pair of boots in store (London, Covent Gsrden). Since they didn't have the right size in store, I proceed to pay and order a delivery from their warehouse to the store for pick up within 3-5 working days (order number is T00QBA1000074904).

Ten days later, I had emails from the local courier as they couldn't deliver because there was nobody in store to accept the order. They tried twice. After the third attempt they would return the item to the warehouse.

I tried calling and emailing Camper, but never got a reply. I contacted the courier but I couldn't change the delivery address as I didn't place the order.

So I went to the store, which had no manager at that time!, and the staff couldn't solve the issue.. I spent an hour trying to find solutions but the manager over the phone didn't offer anything realistic (for instsnce, they found I could pay 'again' for the boots and get them from another camper store!?). I wasted an hour of my time with no solution.

Now they want me to go back to the store but I can't possibly spend more time and money on a product I paid for more than 10 days ago.

This service is a joke, and they don't care at all about customer service.

At this point, I paid over £80 ten days ago, for boots I'll never see. help please!

Desired outcome: compensation

Camper [CASE:1175718] 4003368441 Product Complaint (17408-124-42) Photo

Hello
It is almost two weeks since I received a defected shoe.
I bought 2 pairs of Camper Pelotas.
One of the shoes has a defect. It has a "high stitch" inside.
I contacted you immediately
I sent pictures (couple of times)
I sent many reminders.
Nothing on your side.
Is it the normal way of conduct?
I. Porath

Camper In store service

Today is the 13th December 2021 and I have just been to return two pairs of shoes in your Covent Garden branch in London.

The service I received was absolutely awful. After 25 minutes and no apology one of the pairs of shoes managed to be returned however the second pair I have taken home as the two shop assistants could not work out how to process the refund. A shop should not be left alone with two new members of staff who cannot process a refund.

While I was waiting for my refund a huge line of costumers was beginning to form, whom some of them left their items and left the shop.

This really isn't good service. And I am left feeling extremely annoyed by the situation, which is still unresolved as I will have to go back to the shop to process my return.

Desired outcome: I would like this complaint to be passed onto the Manager of the store and I would like to be compensated for the inconvenience caused.

Camper The customer sevice is doing nothing. Totally useless.

Don't buy anything from this website if you live in the US!

I have wasted so much time to get just a shipping label to return my order since last week, but I don't get anything from there yet.

I already called the customer service 4 times, and they said they would send or was going to send the label. I also sent email over 100 times, but they never gave me any reply.

I will call the credit card company to report this company as a scam and request the dispute. I have done everything I could do as a customer, but I can't help doing it since they keep ignoring communication.

I'm a over 20 years Camper customer since I lived in Japan, but I won't buy it anymore. As a long time customer, I can say the customer service in here has been so far so good, but now I know that it's getting worse and worse and time to remove this brand from my shopping list.

Desired outcome: Just send the shipping label to drop it off UPS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Camper Peu [protected] GLC 44# 24/20

I have been trying all year to get Camper to resolve this issue but they will not reply. Full details below:

As a follow-up, I am happy to purchase insoles, just tell me how to. I just want to wear these shoes again and I have hardly worn them since buying them as the insoles both failed. To repeat, this has never happened in 15+ years of wearing Camper and I just want a resolution.

--------------

I emailed the following to you on the 11 June but I have had NO REPLY:

I am following up on this complaint.

I picked up the insoles you made available at Regent Street but the replacements they have give me have also failed. I attach images here for info.

It looks to me as if ALL these newer red rubber insoles are inferior. The rubber is split underneath and where my hells strikes the insole it is starting to fragment and pull away. I have a blister forming on my heel where this hole is appearing.

To make it clear: I picked these insoles up in the 23rd April and it is 11 June and they have failed already - that is not even 2 months wear. I wear the shoes just 2 hours per day (I work from home) so this feels very odd. Something is definitely going very wrong with these newer insoles.

Could you mail me a new pair of insoles, perhaps the right ones this time. The ones they gave me in the shop were from a slightly different model of shoes, still Peu, but a different style. They admitted that no-one told them what they should be giving to me and they ran about for a while trying to find something suitable. At first, I thought they would be fine, but it is not even 8 weeks and the black fabric is worn out and the rubber perishing. So, this time I would ask that you mail the right insole for my shoes this time.

I really don't want to have to resort to buying third party insoles just because your own Camper ones are now failing so frequently.

Can you resolve this for me? I am pretty disappointed because as I mentioned I have worn Peu for 15 years non-stop and this is a new development and never happened in previous years.

MY DETAILS:

Model: [protected] GLC 44# 24/20

Size: 44

Mark Foster
Flat A
16 Gloucester Terrace
London
W2 3DD

Desired outcome: I just want insoles. Personally I believe I an entitled to free replacements that actually work and don't fail after just a few weeks, however, if I have to purchase some I will, just tell me how I buy them.

It is not my first experience with camper shoes, expensive brand but very good durable products, but this time, surprisingly, one of the two heals is completely broken, I can't believe it, am pretty sure such a big brand and company will not accept what happens, I need another same shoes or my money back please, btw it was broken while normally walking, no accidents.

Camper never received my shoes. no refund. no response.

Very unresponsive to a rather serious and absurd issue with my package. I ordered two pairs of shoes which were being shipped separately: "alright" never got delivered and I received a package that was supposed to contain "bowie" had a dirty pair of worn shoes (some other brand) instead!
I spoke to the customer care service and was promised action and a couple emails giving me details and a return label. I've written to them multiple times but got no response other than the automated e-mail. I've called the customer care again several times but have always been kept on hold. It is extremely unfortunate that I should have such absurd problems with my packages and on top of it not to have them respond to it!
I urge camper to understand my impatience and annoyance, the shoes are not exactly inexpensive and I was really really looking forward to receiving them. The least they can do is respond or refund!

Camper disintegrating pu soles

I'm a long term Camper customer. I bought a range of Camper products in 2017, and am horrified to find that many of them have become unwearable in such a short time thanks to the PU soles disintegrating. Sandals I put on today, for the first time since last summer, are falling apart around the heel as I wear them. My expensive winter boots split through the ball of the sole when I was not wearing them, rendering them no longer waterproof. There was no information from Camper regarding the need to regularly wear PU footwear to prevent moisture build-up (hydrolysis) - I've found plenty of sites now explaining the cause of this disintegration, but nothing on the listing pages or with the care info of my purchases. I'm devastated. Barely worn shoes, and unworn sandals, now broken and worthless. The shoes were bought in the Melbourne store.

Camper pursuit (boy shoes) not durable enough!

To whom it may concern i would like to inform you that i recently purchased a pair of Camper shoes for my son. I bought it from the store LAPIN HOUSE in Athens Greece (the store is irrelevant to my complain). The pair of shoes cost me 75 euros which is a lot of money for a pair of shoes that will be worn only for a few months since my son is 2 and a half years of age and as we know kids are growing up very fast at this stage of age.

After only a week of regular use like walks in the park and the usual activities that a toddler can have i notice that the leather on the shoes started fading.
The result was that a few days later the shoes started looking old like second hand, surely didn't look like a new pair of 75 euros.
Though the shoes are (were) pretty and comfortable but they look very old and used. My problem here is the value for money. I would like to know what could i have done differently to prevent the damage of the shoes otherwise i will consider twice to purchase again a pair of camper shoes
I have attached some photos of the shoes and the receipt of payment.
Thank you for reading my complain

Camper camper shoes

I bought Camper shoes from Barcelona one year ago, model 2016 season, 160 euros.
These are my next pair because i find Camper comfortable and fit to my style.
They are spot style means made to last and not change shape, color in time. That's why i paid so much money.
But the first day i got a blister on my right foot. I thought is temporary, need time to adapt to my foot. But unfortunately the shoe develops blister every day i wear them.
Although i was avoiding wearing the shoes both have deformed sole now. They look old, not stylish.
I am expecting a compensation.

Camper abusive prices with poor quality

I bought a pair of boots almost 3 years ago. I didn't wear them a lot because I have other pairs at home. They cost me a lot and it took me a bit of time to decide because of the price: 180€ but I did it because they looked nice and I thought they would last as my shoes always last up to 15 years if they are very good quality. Last week I felt my left foot wet and I discovered the problem. It was wide open at the end of the boot. I claimed on the Camper's website and had an answer but they just said that the model was too old. I insisted and they finally offered a voucher of 30% discount on another pair! As if I would agree to spend more money on their brand! I already had problems with the soles of other Camper shoes but they were quite old so I didn't claim. But this time ti's too much. I realize that the price really doesn't justify such a quality and that their customer service is just outrageous.

Camper received counterfeit item

I purchased a pair of shoes from because they claimed that all the products that are on sale in their e-shop are genuine and high quality. But when I received my order it became clear that pair of shoes I paid $150 for is counterfeit. I emailed them asking for refund but this company didn’t admit my accusations and denied me in refund. Avoid purchasing anything from Camper Shoes Sales Outlet.

Camper deformation

I am writing from Turkey.
As for my problem: in January 2012 I bought a pair of “Camper” shoes. Seeing that they are comfortable my wife bought a pair as well. Both pairs were water-proof. But, around two months after the purchase, in a rainy day my wife’s feet were soaking wet wearing the very same shoes. When we looked carefully at the shoes when we got home, we saw that there was a hole in the joint point in front of the shoe. Immediately we went back to the store where we bought the shoes and they took them in for examination. While we were at the store I noticed that my pair had the same problem but not as big. After a week they called us back and told us that it wasn’t a faulty product and it was consumers’ fault. But we insisted on that it was not our fault and they told us that they would send our request and complaint to Spain for further examination. Around three weeks after that we were told that Camper center office in Spain also agrees with them and has refused our complaint and the shoes were given back to us. We accepted and went to a shoe repairer since we wanted to use the shoes. A day later the shoe repairman called us and told us that while he was examining the shoes he realized that the shoes were actually faulty and told us that he would call the Camper office in Istanbul in order to explain the situation. His complaint was also refused and he advised us to apply to consumer court. We talked with our lawyer on how to proceed. He told us that we would need to have written refusals both from Camper Turkey and Camper center office in order to apply to consumer court and we requested the refusals on paper from Camper office in Istanbul. But she told us that she could not share the written refusals with us because they are classified. After hearing that we started to have doubts about Camper Turkey really communicating with central Office in Spain.. We wanted to hear first if there was indeed a communication between Camper in Spain and Camper Turkey on this matter. If they did not communicate with them should the shoes be re-examined? If they really communicated with Spain, we would like you to send us your refusal on the matter.
Thank you for your understanding.
P.S.: Several times I sent e-mails and post mails but till now I have not recieved any positive or negative answer.
thank you

Camper is a company to be avoided. I returned a pair of shoes and although I provided proof they had received the return they told me they did not. When I went to return the shoes, they said that I could print off a UPS label which was not available. I did not receive it in email and when I tried to print it from the website, it was empty. So I paid to return the shoes myself and told them with proof that I had paid that as well. In the end after I protested with American Express they finally refunded the shoes except for the mailing as they still insist that I used their UPS label. It is clear and was clear on the package and in the receipt of my email that I had not used their label. They NEVER answer their phone, NEVER return phone calls and take 5 weeks to respond to an email and then do not follow up. If you want to keep your sanity in dealing with retail, I URGE you NEVER to buy from this company. Their product is not very high quality either.

Camper scam

Bought a car from CamperUK based in lincoln, the sales person was so nice to me and i was taken in by their service and actually bought the car for 750! they promised 6 months tax and a fresh MOT on it. told them i wanted to pick up the car on the 16th and they said no problem..called me back the next day told me that could not pick up the car because of the MOT and works needs to be done. Said ok..and waited..(needed the car badly because mother-in-law from malaysia is visiting for two weeks from the 16th april till the 30th april). On the 23rd Camper uk said car was ready with MOT and travelled there to pick it up. (it takes me 1 hour to get there as i live in nottingham). No petrol in the car so decided to fill it up, drove less than 3 miles to the nearest petrol station and filled up 40 pounds worth of petrol, imagine the horror when i saw a pool of petrol under the car (there was a lot of petrol). Already pissed, drove back to talk to the sales person but not available. Left the car, he called back said will check the car. He checked the car and told me i need to pay 75pounds extra to get the car fixed (other half to be bourne by them)! mind you thats 10% of the value of the car and i do not make much money monthly as my wife does not work and a is a student. i've collected this money over the period of 3 months! Told them that i'm not gonna pay as it was supposed to be done under the MOT, they said that it was "sold as seen"- this is an unfair trading standard(to those who dont know) and had the nerves to say that the petrol leak is not covered under the MOT!..what rubbish, for a car to pass an MOT there must be no leakage of fuel and must be safe to be driven! having a petrol leak on a car defies having an MOT in the first place! CamperUK refused to fix the damage, and when i told them i reported to trading standards, they got mad and told me will give refund but not the full amount!... again why would anybody be doing business with them?(poor me!). another pointer for the others, it could amount to a criminal offense if the car sold to you is unsafe.

until now not replying to my mail, will take this matter further, would be grateful if you could spread the word to be careful when dealing with traders selling on "sold as seen basis" and of course camperUK. In the end all i wanted is a car that can be safely driven but camperUk has failed even to provide that. i dont mind the wear and tear, but petrol fuel line leak? come on! even a 10 year old kid knows that's dangerous!

Camper took advantage of elderly parents

The first week of March my 78 father, with a respirator, purchased a camper from Camping World in Byron, GA. He could barely breathe. He made a comment to the salesperson that he was afraid he would die before the camper was paid. The salesperson said if there was trouble to let him know, and the manager back up the comment. Three days later my Father passed away.

Camping World was one of the first to be notified and we were assured that the manager would try to stop funding on the camper. This was Friday... we later found out that the manager did, in fact, contact the finance company... but asked that they RUSH the funding. Now my mom is stuck with a $674 a month payment with only $1100 coming in from SSI a month. The jerks have done exactly opposite of what they promised and have been real ### about the whole situation.

Bought the shoes from Camper, in Lisbon while I was traveling. By chance I've stored there and just bought them. 2 weeks later they were shredded on the sides. Sent them a complain, and nothing, they've simply ignored my worries and lost. Really bad support. A respectful brand should never act like that...
