On Friday 21st February at approx. 3.15pm, I stopped at Caltex, Williams for coffee and I also bought a Chicken Schnitzel. I continued driving but about 20km out of town I realised that the Chicken Schnitzel was not cooked properly. I pulled over and tried to call the store but the phone number on your website is not correct, the number listed is not...

I would like to put in a complaint regarding the managers at the Caltex in Cobar. Half the time you go in there to pay for your fuel and you are waiting as there is noone on the till, very frustrating when you are at work and fuelling up. Also I was informed by a very good friend who works there that on a day last week the safe was left open and money lying...

Caltex sacking of james latta

I was shocked to hear the story of James Latta who Caltex sacked because of his attempt to manage an aggressive customer in Bateman's Bay. A warning would have been appropriate not a sacking in this situation. You need to get better HR professionals if they make blanket decisions like this without consideration of the situation and circumstances. I would have done the same if I felt threatened and was trying to protect other customers. You have no idea the impact this has had on this individual who was a real hero during the fires. You should be giving him a pay rise and award for his commitment and loyalty. Unbelievable the stupidity of Caltex's decision. My family and I will not use Caltex products until you reinstate this man. Give him a break.

Caltex loss of property/ poor service

Email sent to Rick, filling station owner on fasbou@mailbox.co.za on Thu, 30th Jan 2020 @ 11:43
Dear Rick
This is just a mail to let you know that I eventually got my petrol cap from Renault in the 2nd week of December.
I would like to let you know of the wonderful service experience I have received from you and your obnoxious manageress, Theresa from the minute I reported the missing petrol cap.  She was hostile towards me from our first engagement.  No apology for the inconvenience even after Thomas stated he filled my car the evening before.  She said she would look into the cameras to see what happened.  She said she needed the petrol slip, I asked if she didn't get a daily batch report, she just shrugged and pointed to a box of reports.  I said I had a bank statement she could see.  This was not enough for her.
I went to 4 scrapyards in  Van Der Hoff road looking for a 2nd hand cap.  About 3 weeks after the incident, I spoke to you about the lost cap while I was filling up my vehicle.  You stated that you thought the matter had been sorted out.  I told you about the scrapyards and that I had been on leave.  You said that I should go ahead and order the cap from Renault as petrol could be wasted without the cap.  I asked if I should get a quote and you said no go ahead and order.  I said at the time we could look at splitting the cost.
When I presented the paid invoice to your managaress she lost her temper and stormed off to the back office saying that there was no way I was going to be paid.  She left me standing like the village idiot in front of your cashiers for about 10 minutes.  In that time, I presume she phoned you and then googled Midas as I saw Midas and petrol caps on the computer screen.  I said to her that I have a Car Wash and have insurance for such instances of staff mishaps but my excess is R2500.  She snidely told me that you have insurance and there is no excess.  If that's the case, what's the big issue.  If my staff damaged vehicles, I apologise for the inconvenience and try to sort out the matter speedily with minimum inconvenience to the customer - after all the customer did not cause the damage that now inconveniencing them.
My inconvenience of having to drive around, using my petrol and time looking for a secondhand cap and then having to drive to Renault twice to order and then collect the cap made no impression on your manageress - not a hint of an apology for the cap or my inconvenience.  She again repeated that there was no ways she would allow payment and that she, and not you, run the business.  You are just the banker I was told.  I see now that that is the fact.  I phoned you on a Friday and you said that you would get back to me on Monday and that perhaps we should have a few Jack Daniels discussing the joys of owning a Car Wash and Valet.
Well, as we know, that never happened and I phoned you the following Friday when you told me dismissively it was Friday afternoon and you were at home.  I apologised to you and that was that.  I've never heard another word from you.
I was brought up in such a way that my word was my honour.  In all my life, I don't think I've ever forgotten my fathers words or let him down by deviating from his philosophy.
I do know that after filling up 2 cars at your filling station for the past 15 or so years, you will never see me again.
I now fill up at the Shell garage on Old Johannesburg road which is more convenient for me  - I should have done it 15 years ago.
Lastly, I would like to apologise to you for filling my vehicle on that day wasting your time and for bringing Thomas's mishap to your attention.  I remember how you shaking your head when I told you who filled up the car.
I wish you and your boss all the very best for the future - Life is funny!
Regards Richard

Caltex poor service

I am so use to bad service in South Africa and in Cape Town that I normally don't really bother anymore saying anything but this morning at one of your service station (Ladies Mile Service Rd, Bergvliet, Cape Town, 7945) I had reach my limit of poor service.

Today, on 13th January @ 6:40am my first day back to work after the holidays, I attempted putting air in my Tyre. At my first attempt I notice that instead of inflating my Tyre I was deflating and immediately realize the air pump is not working.

I moved to a secondary air pump keeping in mind when I attempted the first time my Tyre was flat already and to no success further made my Tyre deflated. After using the second pump and further deflating my Tyre because that one was also not working. I asked one of the four petrol attendees that casually never even bothered to assist me or greet me and has been walking by me while I was struggling said that the pumps were not working.

After asking them why not one single one of them bothered to tell me that the air pumps were in fact not working they did not even respond. Clearly to them it was not important keeping in mind now that I have completely flatten my Tyre and I am running late for work and now have to drive on a flat Tyre to the next service station and don't have the time to change to my spare Tyre.

On a last note, I ended up now having to replace my Tyre completely so thank you Caltex for an unforgettable experience and losing a customer for life. Michael

Caltex cigarettes

Charging over $30 for a pack of 20 cigarettes, it seems when a particular staff member is on duty and that staff member is on duty today 1/1/12020, better do something about the problem or you wont have smokers filling up at your station, I really don't think it's the company it's this particular staff member lining her pockets, other staff members at this caltex don't charge as much and are on par with most other shops

Caltex langa phumlani petrol attendant

On the 18th November 2019 at around 17:30 pm I filled petrol of R100.00 at Caltex Anton Lembede St, (former smith street) Durban Central, Durban, 4000. I used R200 note which the petrol attendant (Langa Phumlani) and gave me back R100 change. I assumed he filled the R100 petrol and I drove off. I had 2bars on the petrol gauge left which is why I went to fill in the first place. While driving I noticed the bars where still the same and had not increased to show that the petrol was filled. I then returned to him and explained that I am noticing that the petrol was not filled. He said he filled but I was not satisfied so I asked him to call the manager and he said there is no manager present at this time. When I asked so who must I report to he said the supervisor. I reported this to the supervisor then said I must drive off because the bars will eventually increase to show petrol was filled. He the said this has happened to him before when a lady filled petrol and the petrol gauge did not increase he then gave the lady his own money to cover the lady should her petrol gauge not increase. I found that service unfair as I was not given the very same service. I then left while driving I took pictures of my petrol gauge at every 10km intervals that I drove to ensure I have proof. The petrol did not increase at all which proved that the petrol was not filled. I have the pictures of the petrol gauge as well as the speedometer readings, which I showed Mr Langa Phumalni and my three colleges I was with in the vehicle. I then returned the following day on the 19th of November 2019 to the petrol station to follow up with the manager who was not present the day before. I found out that he was not present again on the 19th of November 2019 I then got frustrated as I was not getting any assistance I returned to the petrol attendant (Langa Phumlani) who initially assisted me. He gave me a very bad attitude and said he has nothing to say to me. I left very angry and decided to phone the garage again later at 4:30 pm when I finished work the same day. I spoke to a lady by the name of Faith who informed me that the manager is still not avialible and she said the managers name is Mpumelelo Hadebe. She then took my message and said she will give the manager (Mpumelelo Hadebe) who was unavailable the pass two days. I am now extremely angry as I have given the employees at this petrol station 2 days to solve my query and they still have not assisted me thus far. I lost an amount of R100 and still not receiving any assistance and the staff is not concerned about this. I am going to take this farther and also going to use all avenues availible for me including but not limited to, legal, social media etc.

I am trusting you will resolve this matter at your earliest convenience as your staff at this petrol station cannot assist me including the petrol station manager (Mpumelelo Hadebe)

Caltex workplace discrimination

So I have proof of all what he said to me so I am planning to post that video to all social platform so that the world could see how bad people are threatened at caltex.

Caltex cashier (petrol station)

Located at Caltex Guar, Kedah. The cashier was so rude when he insulted me, which he did not notice that I was still there. This is my first time paying for fuel, and worst and bad service experience ever. He just took my money, and never say anything, then after seeing i still standing there, he asked me do u need receipt? I just answer him, what do u mean? then, he did not reply me, and I asked him, so can it be used now? because I don't hear you say, done or anything which can direct me to the next step. He just said Yeah in a very annoying voice. After that, I went into the shop for drinking water and clearly heard that the boy complaint to the other staff about me asking such thing and insulted me by imitating the way i asked. Such a bad customer service. Complaining here, just in case u need some improvement, maybe can improve customer service experience.

Caltex caltex garage r62 barrydale

The R62 are a worldwide attraction and the Caltex garage, the only garage in Barrydale, are a sight for sore eyes. The cafe are even worse, sell expired products and prices are even higher than any other convenient store. Not sure if this building or caltex belongs to the owner, but seriously needs a upgrade. Please look into this matter as Caltex brand name are seen al over the world and does NOT look good at all.

Your petrol attendant literally molested my coworker. After calling him out, his friends all thought it was very funny and tried to incite a fight.

Aside from the fact it's covid and people shouldn't be that close to each other, your attendant is a sex crime waiting to happen and his colleagues clearly don't care.

Caltex dirty petrol

I filled up my old car that has been recently restored and petrol tank cleaned out at Caltex station in Rural View, Mackay on the 23/08/2019 and it's the only place where I have ever got petrol from since the restoration. After about 50km of driving, suddenly, I have masses of grit coming through, blocking the filter so engine stopped. Had to clean filter 3 times before I could get home. Now have 3 filters on the system and first one has got grit in it already and only driven 50km.

Caltex lpg refill

On 17 July around 6:50PM we went to refill for LPG gas at Caltex Monument in Otahuhu, Auckland, New Zealand.

We were served by an arrogant staff Mr. Gagan.

He has been rude throughout the interaction.

He rudely told me to put my phone in my pocket despite phone not being used.

He turned us back saying he will not fill the gas unless I keep my phone in my pocket.

I understand phone usage is not allowed but carrying a phone in pocket or hand does not matter.

Customer services at Caltex Monument in Otahuhu Auckland is dead when there are rude and self Centre's staff like Mr Gagan.

I would not compromise safety by using phone at gas station.

I would like to know why your lpg is 89.9 cpl at most outlets near Noarlunga but 75.9 closer to the city. some of your opposition are selling for 63 cpl. i have shopped at Woolworths for years but i will be if this is how you treat customers. if its the service stations that are the problem maybe sort them out. Please do not send a template as that just means you don't care.
