We travelled to scarborough on friday 21 to 24august we were booked into the grand hotel the room they allocated us was unfit for human habitation when you open the door the smell of urine hit you and the bathroom was worse the full room was filthy with dust and ring marks on table and window sills I complained to management they gave us another room on the same floor which was no cleaner than the first one only differance it didnt smell of urine iwent back to management and said we were checking out I asked for compesation and was told I had to claim through yourselves we checked into the royal which was 100 percent cleaner which we paid for ourselves which was 409.15 I phoned yourselves on the saturday to let you know what had happened we have photos of both rooms

Claimed loss: 484.15 plus emotional stress that we both suffered

I wish to commend our driver, Jamie, on his professional approach to an incident at the Royal Bath, hotel in Bournemouth, on Friday 11th. One customer was late by 35 mins. to comply with the departure time for the journey home. despite having to remain parked on double yellow lines, the individual who was sat on seat 1A, showed no remorse or apology to delaying our departure. Passengers on the coach had to contact their family and friends that they would be late home. Unfortunately on arrival at our scheduled stop, Jamie was required to comply with a coach and document inspection by VOSA officials, adding extra pressure to meeting the drop off times. His conduct was exemplary and a credit to maintaining client satisfaction, an employee dedicated to maintaining the standards and reliability of the Company. As for the individual concerned, she should be banned from any future travel with Caledonian, as she caused unnecessary frustration and delay. Well done Jamie! J.E.Downing
