Caledonian Travel review: Day trip to Beautiful Windermere & Lakeside Steam.

We spent 10 hrs yesterday sat on a Caledonian coach and 2 hours off the coach at Windermere. The day trip we booked told us we would go straight to the steam train have our ride then come back into Windermere and have time there to look around etc. However this was not so. we arrived at Windermere at 12pm, and told we had to be back on the coach for 1 30 to go to the steam train and the we would come back and pick up the people who had not booked the steam train at 4pm. By the time we had to listen to the boat sailing rep trying to get us to go on the boat on the lake it was 12 30 pm. This left us with one hour to get lunch and look around Windermere. Which was not what we expected to have to do, At 1 30 we went off to the steam train which was a 55 minuet journey. We the train came back we were given 15 minuets to go to the toilet and the back on the coach again, We then went back to Windermere to pick up the rest of the people. CaledonianShould have informed us off this change to give us the chance to cancel, I have had several trips with your company know and nearly every trip has been a big dissapointment. I would like to have my money back from this trip. We went on the 23 july 2026. It cost us £39 95 each. I think this is the least you can do after the day we had sat on the coach all day. The trip you advertised was not what we got. My booking number was T782598. I am looking forward to hearing from you.
