I signed up on 18th November and paid £9.90, had a look around the site and realised it was full of fake profiles, I tried countless times to cancel my profile but the cancel button does not work so then emailed them who replied saying I had to cancel via fax, I don’t have a fax machine so am unable to do this, 18th December I had another 39.60 taken off my credit card which I didn’t sign up for this to be taken neither did I have a repeat subscription set up, luckily my credit card has expired since and therefore they don’t have my details anymore, but in the meantime I have read all the bad reviews on here about this company and it seems like they are doing it to everyone, anyway on Friday 18th March I had an email from them for payment reminder of 39.60 and a handling charge of 10.00 totalling 49.60 which says is payable by 24/3/2022,

I am not paying this but have seen countless other people saying the are getting letters from debt collectors through the door, I am now worried the same will happen to me, please can someone confirm what my next step should be? do I just ignore this as it’s a fake debt collection agency using bully boy tactics or will this actually harm my credit rating going forward?

I have never registered on the site, my computer does not access this type of content because it is blocked directly by the SKY internet provider.

The registration was done through an email that I haven't used for over 2 years, and now that I've opened the email to start using it again, I come across several billing emails that I don't even know what they are about.

They're charging me almost 200 pounds for something I've never used, saying that even if they couldn't debit a card they keep charging you the monthly amounts, that doesn't exist, that's absurd.

I've been trying for a week to get in touch asking how to solve the problem and make all kinds of cancellations with them and with that billing company, but no one answers me directly and clearly, sending only empty answers without any concrete attitude to solve my problem.

I could even pay some amount to get rid of this headache, but never the amount they are asking because I don't even know what it's about.

I hope that by this means the company will contact me to actually resolve the situation, otherwise I will be taking legal action with a lawyer. I'm tired of chasing a solution.

The c-date doesnt have a cancelation option

I signed up in January at 9.90 a month for premium, I’ve only realised that in February and March it’s been charging me 39.60 a month. I don’t remember agreeing to that. I have not used the site since I made the account. I have looked at cancelling membership and apparently you have to fax them which is impossible these days. I tried to delete my account and it says it’s not possible at this time. I wish them to completely remove my account and cancel the subscription. I have removed my PayPal as a payment method through PayPal. It would be nice to get my money back but I am willing to accept the cost so far and settle for no more account and no more payments. This is a very dodgy site, I’m surprised I fell for it.

The website provides no way to cancel subscriptions, all the customer service emails advise I download an online cancellation form which does not exist. I have taken screenshots of the webpage that customer services direct me to. The form is not there.

Giving customers no way to cancel results in the company trying to charge for future and subsequent months of membership. This led to them threatening me with a debt collection agency, which in turn led to me paying the trumped up charge.

I have since researched more and found that they are getting many innocent people this way. The advice they send via email states:

To get the cancellation form:

1. Click on your circular photo icon > Settings

2. Click on Your membership > Change

3. Save the document and reopen it in PDF, JPG or GIF format before sending to us

As you can see from my attached screen shots there is no button to "change" membership and there has never been.

I registered on the website as website was claiming about genuine profile and paid the membership fee. This website looks complete fraud and when try to cancel there was no option to cancel the membership. There was a fax number. I was shocked to see that I was not given option to cancel my membership. I don’t have access to fax and there was no UK phone number to call them. When I checked online (on Trustpiolat and other social media websites) there’s endless complaints regarding this website and taking peoples money. I had to cancel my future payment and then I got email threatening to send my case to debt collection. I am constantly asking UK contact but they are not providing any thing. How this company can openly exploit people and we can not do anything. I am sure I will not get any UK contact to take legal action but I will get a letter from debt collector. I need to know what are my options. Thanks

I have paid payment through PayPal you will receive amount £49.60 till 15 March now please cancel my membership. This is not a way of threatening. And forcing people to pay. I wrote to many emails but not answering

I opened an account with this site on 4th March 2022 - took the 1 month subscription offer of £2.99 only to discover the payment taken was £9.90 when I check an hour later. I have cancelled the payment card from which this was made and blocked its use.

Did some after the fact research and discovered this is common practice and that many people have had trouble with this company.

Can't seem to find an way of closing the account on the site and I have fired of 2 e-mails to the company lodging my complaint and also requesting that my money is returned and the account closed and that I am fully prepared to involve the authorities.

This company should be avoided by all means but sadly, if you are reading this it may be too late.

I signed up and tried to cancel but whenever you go to the page, it says, not available, come back again in a few days. This is a delaying tactic to get you to pay a months subscription that is hidden in the small print. When you eventually realise what is going on, the cancellation process is hard and involves sending a fax.

When you stop the payment with the bank, the email and write (post) to you in order to bully and frighten you into paying ridiculous fees, bearing in mind, the site is fake. Profiles are fake, everything is fake.

I have a firm of solicitors looking into their scam, at a cost far greater than they are wanting but this is out of principle. I can imagine a lot of vulnerable people have lost a lot of money here.

Debt collection letters come from Germany and poorly written so clearly not legit if so, very unprofessional.

I subscribed in good faith and as soon as I realised it was probably a scam I could not cancel my subscription

I've tried to cancel my membership and there's no way to as whatever link it says will appear doesn't, so I'd like to cancel my membership now.

I’ve had to cancel two different memberships in regards to your website, I was signed up to other websites even after saying on the phone I would like everything cancelled and wish no further memberships.

To resolve this I want the payment taken out today refunded and what ever websites you guys have signed me up for without my permission cancelled please.

I know longer have any account details as I assumed everything was cancelled after the second phone call.

I signed up to C-Date in November 2021 to see what it is out of curiosity. I cancelled it later as it wasnt what I wanted. However, months later I realised I was beeing charged on an account I dont use normally. As with others online I can see it looks very hard if not impossible to cancel as their cancelllation policies are very specific and hard to interpret, if they work at all

Just received an email from Ecollect AG harassing for more money,im totally gone with this nonsense now,my mums just passed and I'm trying to get back to work then this,I've passed last complaint to PSNI,now I'm getting a solicitor and suing them

Total scam website. Fake profiles, automatically subscribed to expensive premium service that seems impossible to cancel. Absolute criminals, 2 months ago I logged on to your site paying only a month to see just how the site is, I tried countless times to deactivate my account but it does not work, it started every month you take money from your account please stop and Please deactivate my account,I would like to inform you that the United Kingdom is covered by Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Supplementary). Taxes) The 2013 Regulations that apply in this case. I will notify the Police if you do not stop the threats and do not return my money taken from the account without my permission, Thank you

Complicated process to cancel membership. Request to send a form to a fax ?!?!?

No one uses fax anymore!

Absolutely useless, you have no way of ending your subscription with them as theirs no option on the mobile app and they threaten you with legal proceedings of you stop the payment.

And they will not contact you if you file a complaint with them

They make you wait days to even try and cancel premium membership, I have emailed these people asking for my membership to be cancelled they are stating they require a fax, who the hell deal with faxes a email should be sufficient, to cancel just goes to show that they are trying to get money out of people who want to cancel and make it hard as they can to even consider cancellations.

I signed up to a membership on 22/10/21 and I sent a cancellation letter via email on 29/10/21 stating I want to cancel my subscription and have heard nothing back since that date forcing me to cancel at my bank as my emails were being ignored no number for me to call and now getting emails threatening debt collection agency this is anti consumer and wrong.

I have had three illegal payments taken from my bank account, I have stopped the payments through my bank and have know received a invoice for £49.00 .
I would like this so called " member ship, "that I didn't sign up to cancelling with immediate affect .
I will not pay another penny to this company, there is nowhere on the site to cancel and haven't actually used the site since Initally went on the site ! I will be approaching the relavant authority's, the police and my solictor .
