Burger King commercial content bad for kids

I believe that the new commercials that contain the idea to 'off the king' are awful. They convey to children that it is ok to commit violent acts which is bad enough but on this commercial it is for a trivial reason. They are just children and they can't always decide what is supposed to be just a funny commercial. We can choose what we have our children watch but we cannot choose what kind of commercials pop up while they are watching TV. I believe they need to be stopped immediately since we cannot control that part of TV viewing for our kids.

The "King" commercial with the "square pants" dancing and reference to "bootie" is appaling. We will not let our granddaugher watch the commercial no will we take her to burger king for her "special meals". We will do business with McDonalds.

Burger king always has controversial commercials. They have one where a very sexy lady appears to be horny for a sandwich...not appropriate 4 kids, either.

I agree. The Burger King commercial should be pulled from airwaves. It is extremely irresponsible of this company to have a child's major role model (their mother) involved in trying to murder someone. They should not be promoting violence. I will not support such a company and I hope that their sales go way down until they show better judgment.

Burger King aaaargh!

Aaaargh! just went to the king in milwaukie oregon on McLaughlin Blvd. ordered the loaded steak house burger... its great when you actually get it. For the sixth time in a row, was given the wrong burger. Furthermore, the young woman at the window was using obscenity's to the manager about customers. They then asked me to pull around to the parking lot to wait... i was the only person in the drive thru! This is more difficult than it sounds as you exit onto a four lane highway, then have to cross traffic again. When I asked "are you serious?" the young woman rudely replied "YES!" in my defense, i was very nice to the woman and still cant figure out what her problem was! My action is to tell every friend i have to stay away from that location.

I'm done with Burger King. As everybody knows, they started doing their 24hr drivethru while back.

They are not pulling it off.

When I use their drivethru in the morning, noon, it's great. No matter the location, I receive a great, speedy service.

Their night shift people(on two different location) are borderline (excuse me)###s, and/or they don't speak english. Don't get me wrong, there are plenty of people with limited english who does more than great. It's just that ones I 've seen working in Tigard(schollsferry&99w) at night are dumb as a rock.

I would call that "1-800" number on the back of the receipt and complain about what happend with my order this time, but the guy didn't give me a receipt either. Smart.

Burger King appalled with the service

Today I went to a Burger King located in Florida, Nobhill Rd and Oakland park blvd. to be exact. I was appalled with the type of service I received. As I passed through the drive thru I noticed I had been charged for a happy meal in which I did not receive. I told the cashier whom promptly alerted her store manager Liu John. The manager told me if I wanted another happy meal I would have to pay for it. I tried to explain to him as quickly as I could that I had not received my happy meal which I already paid for. He rudely asked me to get out of his drive thru and threatened to call the police, he also asked the cashier to write down my license plate number. All of this could have been avoided had he listened to what I was trying to say. I was terribly inconvenienced and so were all of the other customers waiting behind me.

This past saturday I went to the Burger King located in Willamantic Ct. I totally lost my appetite when I saw one of the girls working behind the counter wearing her pants half way down her butt, not only was it offensive but totally disgusting ! I will NOT be eating there or any Burger King if this is an acceptable practice for Burger King

I also recently had a bad experience at a Burger King in Hagerstown, MD. The order was taken in a timely manner but I waited 20 minutes for my food. Some in my group of five had to wait even longer The worker and manager spent an inordinate amount of time flirting with each other. We could see our sandwiches sitting there, but no one would fill the orders. There was not a huge line when we went into the restaurant but while we were eating I counted 20 people waiting in line. Unbelievable...and I like Burger king .

Yesterday my husband and I visted Burger King #3181 in Aiken, SC at 1:29 PM. I was totally apalled at the service we received. While taking our order the cashier was constantly smacking bubble gum, poping it loudly, and blowing bubbles. This was offensive and unbelievable.

Burger King food quality, service, workers...

I was in Burger King today Sept. 3 07. I was hungry so I was apparently out of my mind. I ordered two cheap burgers and a small fry. I know people have other things on there mind...but I first would have to learn english to work in any other country than this for a customer relations job.(cashier/dirty hands food server)
The burgers are the worst thing I can think of eating besides something out of a burger king dumpster. And the fries...what a bad idea. They were so gross. Greasy and greases... And just plain a shame.
yeah I had to spend a minute telling the order clerk that I just wanted water. It wasn't on my sales receipt so he had a hard time deciding if I should be able to have a water!
I hate eating at Burger King. I have had bad experiences in the past. I swore off Burger King along with many other festering e coil breeding grounds. After I order, wait, get upset and eat I just want to throw up! What kind of people would let restaurants like these stay in business?
Why can't we shut them down, or make them give us our money back?

All Fast food have problems with help, esp. at drive thrus but BURGER KING is just plain NASTY. How do people eat this CRAP? I'm amazed at what people will ingest. These must be the same people that smoke and on drugs- just dont care about tearing up their bodies. I can eat McDonalds and some items at Wendys but the last 2x at Burger King, it went straight to the trash- I was pissed. Their fries/hamburges taste like ###- greasy ###. The only thing I like is their desserts but they are over the top in sweetness so must be taken with sugarless coffee. Lets just put BK out of our misery and replace them with decent FOOD like Panera Bread.

I visited a Burger King location on Boylston St in Boston, MA to be addressed by the young "punk" who referred to me as "pops" as he served me my food. Not only this is an act of total disrespect to older gentlemen such as my self. This idiot does not even speak English well. The yyoung punks name is "Ceasar". He has long hair in a pony-tail. Burger King really must be despirate if it needs to hire such rude yhoung people.

Burger King burger king employee & screams & at customer!

Burger king: cut off rd, coushatta, la 71019

On [protected]:14pm we stopped at the burger king in coushatta, la at the drive thru to try burger kings new oreo sundae shakes, and as soon as we ordered the 3 sundae shakes the burger king employee yelled at us "we don"t sell sundaes!"

I then said to her, we would like 3 of the oreo sundae shakes, the one on all the posters hanging in the store and on the windows.

She then"screams"at us,"I just told you""we don't have sundaes!"we can also hear someone laughing in the background, she refused to give me her name so I then asked for the managers name, she would not give us the managers name, all she said was how many shakes do"you" want?.

We decided to just drive away because anyone that will treat you like that, will also spit in your food or drinks before they give it to you...

I called burger kings consumer relations number [protected] and told them what happened, they said someone from the burger king in coushatta would be calling me... No call, nothing...

So I called the the burger king in coushatta, la, talked to the manager and they said the night manager would be calling me, that was 5 days ago and still no call, nothing...

Burger King twisted meaning slogan

Burger King Corporation
5505 Blue Lagoon Dr.
Miami, FL 33126

Burger King continues to make its own definition of what have it your way means. Yes you read that right. Since the 1970's you could order your whopper with extra mayonnaise cut in half. Due to internal reasons not really know it seems the company changed its policy based on my first inquiry because of an employee injury. Their insurance companies threaten increased insurance cost if the practice of cutting was not stopped. There solution was to offer a knife to customers to cut there own. I suggested they try to find a piece of equipment which could cut it safely. Making it an employee and customer win situation. I guess they forgot who holds them in business. After two years from my direct complaint. They continued the practice and advertising. After my second inquiry thru the Better Business Bureau why they continue to advertise 'Have it your way' and they had made no changes to meet their advertising slogan. Their written response to me was. 'Have it your way' means the addition or deletion of condiments on their products. Of course we knew that is what 'Have it your way' means, Right? To further insult me they included a free Whooper card redeemable at any Burger King with the words on the bottom of the card. 'Have It your Way'. I say to Burger King either give it to us our way as it has been the tradition of Burger King for years or stop using the slogan with a twisted meaning to suite your needs.

We live in Port Charlotte FL. There are 2 Burger Kings that are franchise owned by someone named Mohamed, one on Kings Hwy and one in North Port which is the next town over. My kids wanted to change out there UNOPENED toys for a different one that they got from a different Burger King, first we stopped at the one in North Port as we were passing by that one and one of the assistant managers gave us a hard time about changing the toys they said we had to talk to the owner Mohamed because they didn't have that toy at that particular time, well my kids pick to eat Burger King when they see a certain toy advertise that they want and when I take them they don't always have the toy they wanted so they keep them unopened so they can trade them out when we get the opportunity to. McDonalds has never given us a hard time about changing an unopened toy, yet these two Burger Kings have. I went to the one on Kings Hwy today after work to change them out and Mohammed was there himself he would not do it, what happened to pleasing the customer especially the kids. My daughter left from the one in North Port upset. It's only toys how can you upset kids like that, they are the reason we go there to begin with. In the future I WILL NOT VISIT THESE BURGER KINGS AND WILL TELL AS MANY PEOPLE AS I CAN NOT TO VISIT THESE BURGER KINGS. In a time like this when the economy isn't so good its clear to see that McDonalds and Wendys will be the better choice.

Frieda,

Are you sure this is why they're letting him go? Check your facts and then if your son can, have him sue for discrimination.

Not saying your son is a bad guy anymore, but unless you go to work with him and sit there with him, you don't know how good his work really is, other than what he tells you.

BK has rules and regs. My question is, did he franchise the BK he was working in? He was the owner? How can they let the owner go? They have to buy him out. Your story is a little "fish sandwichy".

My son is an employee of a BK in Omaha, Ne. He has had his own store for a year and a half. The BK corporation has purchased all BK's in Omaha. They told my son this coming Wed 7-16-08 will be his last day. 8 yrs. ago he had a felony for drug use. He has been a changed man and has done BK good. Hard working, trustworthy but I guess they don't believe in giving him a chance. Burger King supervisor has not had the training it takes to be one!

In La Grande , ORe. At the local Burger King, there is a Woman working there as a Supervisor, who has not had the training it takes to be one. All other Supervisors have had to take the classes and all that to be out on the floor doing their job. But not Amber Ovalle, she seems to have the Waldrops in her pocket. I don't think its fair that she can Thumb her nose at all the regulations of BurgerKing while others are taking all the classes, doing all that is required to get the supervisor job legit. That and her people skills suck. I believe that something should be said to the Head office but they make that hard to do. I guess they don't want to hear bad things about their Franchises and how some owners are abusing their privileges.

Beware!

Burger King poisoned food!

My daughter ate lunch yesterday at the Burger King on North Avenue in Melrose Park, IL. After a few hours she became violently ill with symptoms including stomach pain, nausea, diahrea, vomiting, dizziness, etc. This lasted for about 10 hours. She had the Italian Chicken sandwich at Burger King. Someone needs to take a closer look into how the food is prepared and handled in this restaurant.

My husband and I both had a whopper at BK around 1pm today, after about 5-6 hours I started feeling extremely nauseous and had a terribly migraine headache so I went to bed early. 12 hours after consumption we both we violently ill from both ends, diarrhea was like a water jet.., must have gotten sick about 6 times so far and still feel extremely ill with painful stomach cramps and sore kidneys. It's not the food we had before as we hadn't eaten anything at least 18 hours prior nor do we always eat the same foods on a regular basis. I also made pasta for my young children today after we adults had it before picking them up from school and they aren't sick... And just for arguments sake, I practice healthy food preparation practices and no one has ever been ill from my cooking, not in the 30 odd years of I've been cooking, and I do all the cooking at home. Btw for those of you who think that it's impossible due to your so called research on food poisoning, I'm an RHN and every single person on this planet is biochemically different from each other, you can't claim a study to be set in stone because of this diversity. It's also a known fact that your body will purge things at a much faster rate than digestion if it feels the need to, due to bacterial infection for instance. Some people digest within the average time span of 18-24 hours but many have an accelerated track. If I eat kiwi for instance, within a few hours it's already passed through my bowels cuz I'll see the million undigested seeds etc. Same goes for corn or any other digested foods. I also found that the healthier someone eats, the quicker the response time will be when foreign food and bacteria come into contact with our immune system.

Fact is BK is very unsanitary and uneducated, half the people working there look like they are on something, most are teenagers.. But the biggest issue is where all these fast food outlets get their products from and are they really 100% food based... Not likely. Take Little ceasar's pizza for intance, I know there's something wrong with what they make it with because I end up with a lung infection every time I ate there. McDonald's has the least digestible meat (which btw is 100% beef there company name and not the actual product) and I feel like I'll have a heart attack the instant I eat their food it's so salty. Greco is like eating a pound of grease with each bite you take.. I could go one but the fact is home cooking is probably the only way you'll stay healthy, with obvious food choices. But the healthy restaurants you should be weary of as well, I've been served rotten or moldy veggies on multiple occasion at fancier vegan or vegetarian outlets and restaurants as well.. Trust your gut guys.

Just an FYI, ginger kills gastroenteritis bacteria amongst other things, if you want a quick way out of the sickness, put some fresh or ground ginger root in hot water and drink it. You'll feel mild better faster, I usually squeeze half a lemon in it as well.

I used to go for flat soft drinks especially ginger ale when I was younger but now that I know what's actually in soda, I wouldn't touch it with a barge pole ... As far as the strength of ginger, just dilute it more or don't add as much to begin with. I freeze mine and just grate it as needed, it seems less intense in flavour after its been frozen a while. Anyway I too some hour ago for the first time and expelling from either ends stopped since and I'm almost back to normal, now I just have to wait for the soreness from vomiting to go away.

Ate at this Burger King: 918 E Bloomingdale Ave, Brandon, FL 33511... and the place was disgusting! Tables not wiped, sticky and nasty! We should have left, this was our first clue. Instead we ordered 2 Whoppers with fries and me and my husband both tasted a metallic taste or maybe it was moldy meat taste, something was off and we both tasted it! When we got home we had violent hurling and bowls and this went on for hours! We knew it was from this establishment so we thought it would be best to warn others so they don't get sick too.

Barbara Hazlett: Food poisoning takes about 24 hours for its symptoms to rear their ugly little heads. So, unless your daughter had Burger King the previous night as well, chances are that it was your beans 'n franks that caused your daughter to spend the night on the [censor] with the squirts. I do not know about all these claims about food poisoning, but I have been witness to employees NOT cooking food according to cook times that are specified. There is a reason for all this though, and it is the unreasonable demands of those managing the burger king and the owners. They expect everything to be perfect, and should be done faster than humanly possible, and so do unreasonable customers. I am sure there are many people who complain at these places who have no idea what those employees have to do on that minimum wage job. If you ever eat in a Burger King, just watch the cashier who took your order and might have even filled it for you. Well, after she or he does all that, they have to go out into the dining room and clean all the tables, sweep, mop if it needs it, clean up the drink center, make sure there are straws and everything stocked over there for her rude customers, and then make sure the bathrooms are clean. And if you ever notice that monitor over the drive thru, it is timing the person who is taking orders in that drive thru. They are expected to not let a customer be in that window more than 45 seconds, although some of the time, they are having to take the orders, fix the drinks, take the money, fill the orders. Next time you want to complain about how long it takes your order to be ready, think about those people who are having to do all this alone. The people who are trying to make the food who are being rushed and getting their hours cut because they are "slow". Burger King does not treat their employees well, and there are many who work hard in those places, and actually do care about their job.

Pleases provide evidence that supports your claim that food poisoning can occur in less than an hour, beyond your anecdotal statements. I supplied mine, backing up my statements and claims with hard evidence and facts.

Here is my evidence, again, for those too lazy to actually do the research

Yes, food poisoning can affect an individual within a half hour. The "expert" on here saying it takes 24 hours has noclue what he's talking about.

I too had an issue recently at burger king in Bath ME. I bought a strawberry shake and bacon double cheeseburger. Within 3 hours, I had the squirts. Three hours after that I felt dizzy and yaked in the toilet. I'll never eat that junk again. If you think those kids at fast food restaurants give a damned about you, you're smoking something good. They could care less about your well-being. You need to start taking that into your own hands.

Burger King overcharging!

I was recently went to a BK in Louisville, Ky. the Dixie Highway Location... when I placed my order like I had done in the past several times before. I get the same thing almost everytime. This time the total was different. I ask why my total amount was so much, the manager said they were charging for small waters now. In the past I usually get my meal and 2 small waters at no charge to go. This time she wanted to charge. 41 cents each. I ask why so much... I would have given a dime or maybe even a quarter... I know they have to pay for the cups sometimes. But I thought this was a little excessive, so I ask why. The manager said it was a new store policy. So I have a question... is this a scam or what... is this store manager trying to make up some loss's? I sure don't think it's fair to charge such an excessive fee. If there trying to loose my business... they've succeeded at this store anyway. I planned on reporting them to the management of BK, but guess what... they have no complaints dept. that I can find on their website and no email address that I can send them a complaint to either.. Is this deliberate on there part. I don't think they give a damn anyway but they should know whats going on at this store anyway. So if anyone has the address for the complaints dept or wants to forward this to them... I'd appreciate it.

I stopped at the Drive Thru this morning and ordered a bacon egg and cheese biscuit. The girl asked if I wanted it in a combo and I stated no.
She said that will be $2.82. I could not believe a single biscuit cost that much! Was I being punished for not buying a combo?
Also, some time a ago I told a BK employee that BK is encourging people to over eat by trying to get them to supper size their order. The employee told me if you don't want the extra food just throw it away. My reply to her was, and be wasteful!?!? It always ticks me off when an employee tries to get me to purchase a combo or super size my order. If I wanted more food I would order it. However, I don't appreciate having to pay more because I didn't choose a combo or a super sized meal.
I should have told the girl to forget it but I was in a hurry. BK owes me some money back!

I ordered a Jr Whopper and small fry off the dollar menu in the drive thru and with tax the total came to over $2.80. I thought I had misunderstood so I drove ahead to the register and the $2.80+ price was quoted again. I told the cashier that I was ordering items off the dollar menu and he told me there were no fries on the dollar menu and that a small fry cost $1.50(?). I didn't have time to argue so I removed the item from the order and paid for the burger only. (I can afford the difference but I hate being ripped off!)

I went back by the drive thru later and sure enough there are small fries on the dollar menu.
How many people are over charged because they don't remember the prices from the time they leave the menu/squak box to the time they get up to the payment window?

I just want to warn everyone to be very careful when ordering a kids/combo meal. I recently went through the drive-thru and ordered a kids meal (advertised price of 3.60) and a small fry. They gave me a total price of over $7.50. I had to request a manager before they were able to see that I was being overcharged. When they ring up the meals they show up item by item on the receipt (for example the kids meal shows up something like cheeseburger, small fry, kids drink), but when you add the amounts they are charging you for each item, they don't equal the menu price. They had to refund my drink price AND the price of a toy to get it to equal out.

I don't know if it was just the way this employee rang up the order or if it usually happens this way. I usually order more than a small fry with the kids meal. The high price as compared to the number of items ordered is what made me notice it.

yea! i hate burger king! i was in the burger king in san antonio tx on south ww white road and i went inside to buy a burger. i was pressed for time cause i had to get back to work. first the employee took long to take my order then they took long to prepare my order. 15 min passed and my burger was sitting there ready and wrapped, all they had to do was put it in a bag and give it to me, but, that was too hard for them to do. so i got upset and i told the cashier, loudly, to give me my money back now! she just stood there staring at me, so i repeated myself, loudly. the dumb girl still just stood there. then a ghetto thug looking female manager comes out from the back yelling at me and acting like she was going to kick my butt. so i told her loudly to give me my money back and she yelled at me and she refused to give me my money back because i was being loud, then she said she was going to call the police if i didnt leave. i wanted to leave but i also wanted my money back! she never gave me my money and she kept on demanding that i leave the store cause i was talking loud. well she was yelling very loud at me. she was louder than i was. all she had to do was giving me my money back instead of engaging in a yelling match with me, the customer, who suppose to be always right!

Not really sure what you mean, iitsskatieee. I don't have a problem. It clearly states in my post that "I just want to warn everyone to be very careful...". I usually don't look at the receipts unless I think I'm missing something and I definitely don't sit and add up the individual items in my combos to make sure I'm not being overcharged, so I just wanted to bring it to everyone's attention. I didn't rant and rave saying that I would never go back or that I would never order that item again. I don't feel that telling people to pay attention is overreacting.

I went to the Burger King at 9803 19th ave SE Everett, WA 98208 and when i got there was a kid that was his first day. He asked for help to fill the order but no one came. He charged me twice the amount of the order on my debit. Well total was 6.21 and he charged 12.21, So i received an over draft fee of 35.00. I asked them to put the money back on the card and the manger there named Stephine on 1/13/2010 @ 8:30pm was very rude and said all she could do was give me cash back. And could not return my money on the card. I was very upset but agreed since i had no choice, then i asked for a comp on the meal cause i had just paid 35.00 for there mistake. She said no they could not do that she said pay for your order or leave. I said thats fine i will pay cause at this point i was starving. I had to wait 23min for 3 double quarter pounders. They had my mothers order done in 2min. I was in shock not only did i get ripped off but i got home. And was so hungry i ate it well it was ice cold and the meat was hard. and there was no way that was a double quarter pounder not only that, i threw up and have been sick ever since. I think they gave me the patty's that been sitting in there all day cause they were mad. So now i have food poison an over drawn bank account. I bought my mother dinner and she is also sick. If you can avoid this store do so at all costs. I will never return and i mean never!

My sons girlfriend went to the Burger King in Villa Ridge, Mo to apply for a job, she told the counter person she had a 2 month old little girl and needed to get a job. The counter person proceeded to tell my sons girlfriend that she would be wasting her time because they would not hire her because she might steal from the company to feed her kid. That was rude, unacceptable, unprofessional and completely un-called for. This is a form of discrimination against teenage mothers and serious stereotyping. My sons girlfriend began to fill out the application then decided to forget it and walked out, and decided to never eat at that facility again.

I went to Burger King late last night to grab some food with some friends for their kids and because of a rude comment that was said to an employee after poor customer service, we threw the meals that we brought away soon after we paid. Im not too sure what this employees title was but she brought a bad name to Burger King that night. This employee felt disrespected but instead of handling the situation in a well-mannered way, she said " Y'all might wanna watch what y'all call people when they are the ones making y'all food." Now , there was no need for that comment! Yes we thought it and told our friend to watch what she say and sure enough we were proved right. It was really upsetting to see how low a "professional" employee would scoop and degrade a company they work for. As a former employee of a fast-food restaurant and a well-educated psych. major I do understand the pain that is felt at times when dealing with all types of individuals and I do feel that we are well prepared for those encounters through the trainings.

Sincerely,
a concerned customer.

Burger King unfair charging

Recently we ordered breakfast at Burger King at 7133 Dempster in Niles, Illinois or the corner of Harlem and Dempster. To our surpris, the mexican-woman there charged us $1.19 plus tax on an orange juice that's part of the dollar-breakfast-menus. When we complained and asked for the manager, the manager told us it only says on the advertised-menu that those breakfast items "starts at one dollar" but they're not actually the dollar items! But it clearly states there that 10 items start at a dollar each and that includes the orange juice that we ordered and they're showing clearly on the picture they advertised.

Also of all the burger king stores we have visited, this one is specially hostile to the minorities that come there which is ironic since they themselves belong to the minorities being of mexican decent.

It's unfair for them charging us $1.19 when it shows that this item only cost $1.00.

Thank you so much for your time,
Benny Martin

Burger King worst service I ever dealt with!

Service at this burger King near my house is the worst I've ever dealt with. They always have a ton of people running around waiting on people but no one seems to be cooking! Drive through is a park and wait. Inside is easily a 20 min wait.
Orders are rarely right and they never can make change! It's a running joke at work if we go to burger King is what did you end up with or did you make money on it.

I love their product but it just isn't worth it. I think these places should be spot checked and rated more often. Well it's either Wendys or McDonalds then, their loss.

The Burger King located at 1201 E. Ridge Rd. night team has horrible customer service & the managers customer service skills are just as bad if not worst than the cashier's. I purchased a grilled chicken sandwich that was burnt & looked like it fell in charcoal with dirt all over it! When I took the food back to them, they act as if I was in the wrong and refused to service me. I thought the customer was always right! According to that Burger King apparently not! When a Burger King gets the toys on Monday and by Tuesday they are out that is a problem. How is it they can have plenty of those awful comic books and Spongebob toys but never have the ones they advertise.

I am fine if you run out but the fact that they come in only once per week they stocked amount should last more than 1 day. The sad part is they don't even make it through a weekend rush before they are out.

McDonald's and Wendy's rarely if ever have this problem

Burger King is the worst at never having the toy they advertise. They only order a few and when they run out they don't send any more until the next week. Then your kids scream and throw fits because they don't have the toy. We went to Burger King tonight and all the parents that were there were outraged. You go there expecting a treat for your child and in return you leave more pissed off then you would have been if you would have just taken them to a restaurant and waiting an hour for your table. You would think since they are supposed to be catered to children that they would be equipped with the proper amount of goods.

As for Tiff you must not have any children, or you work at burger kings corporate office. Just think of this...you walk into a store they advertise this thing that you have been dying to get, but in order to get it you have to buy these other things to get it. So you go to the counter pay for your stuff and they say oh I'm sorry we don't have that any more. Then you are stuck with what you bought in order to get that thing you wanted, but you maybe it was something you really didn't want, but you just bought it to make someone happy. Now you leave with an upset stomach and a very unhappy child. Yeah that seams real fair and your telling people to DEAL WITH IT...WELL YOU DEAL WITH IT. I would like to see you handle that

The Burger King in Aiken, SC on York St. also has horrible customer service. We always have to pull up and wait for our food, and rarely is the order right. Today, both of my toddlers received dolls, even though one is a boy, and they were supposed to have Simsons toys, my oldest son ordered a plain chicken sandwich, but it was loaded with everything, and we weren't even given napkins.

Ok so you don't like this one, but don't compare EVERY Burger King with the one you go to. To the 1st person who commented, you're not the only one in the world that is after these toys. NEVER expect a toy from these places to ALWAYS be in stock. If they run out, they run out. DEAL WITH IT, and come back when they do have them again. I'm also getting tired of reading people's complaints only to see they continue to go there anyway. If you don't like their service so much, why the hell don't you go somewhere else?

I go through the drive threw window at least 3-4 times a week in the morning on my way to work. The young man that takes my order never says anything other then "can I take your order?' When I pull up to the window he doesn't even tell me how much I owe and then when I finally get my food he never says thank you, have a nice day, nothing. I would rather drive 5 miles out of my way and get better service than to tolerate this rude guy first thing in the morning. If he was at least appreciative that would change my mind about him but at this point I will have to take my business elsewhere.

I took my to sons to Burger king for Big Kids meals specifically because the commercials said they had Transformer toys. So I ordered two Big Kids meals, when I pulled off, the boys found that they had two little tikes (baby toys). I turned around and went back and I was advised, we are out. I explained I would not have purchased kids meals for baby toys. They were no help I then called and asked to speak to a manager and he was no help, I explained that the least they could have done was put up a sign on the drive through or explain over the intercomm that they are out of the advertised product, he said they do not do that.
I will be in contact with a district manager.

Burger King poor costumer service

We own a locally owned business in Hamlet, NC and eat from the local Burger King on a regular basis. I am not sure if the management has recently changed but all of a sudden I must sit and wait on my order (placed at drive thru; this is why we stopped attending the local Hardee's) Today my order was 3-8 pc. chicken nuggets and 2 salads, 2 frozen drinks. I was waited on promptly at the drive thru, I paid, received my frozen drinks, and was ask to drive up and wait... 15 min. later, the drinks are melting... anyway I finally received my order but no receipt was ever given to me (makes me think it may have been on purpose so not to know who was on at this time? Today is Monday, May 14, 2007 time was approx. 1:30 PM) I do hope the next visit is a better experience, as this is the 3rd wait this month. I do hate to stop going to Burger King as we like the food, but we are a small company and time is important to us. Thank you, C. Parnell

Burger King victims of false advertisement!

On April 22,2007 my girlfriend and I went through a drive- through at a Burger King located in Chicago,Illinois on Chicago Ave and Western Ave. I ordered my food and payed for it and pulled off due to the long line of cars behind me. I then noticed that the associate didn't give me a receipt. His name was Mauricio. I immediately went in to notify the shift manager of the situation because Burger king advertise that when you aren't given a receipt you get a five dollar coupon. When I told the cashier of the matter she immediately started to laugh at me. She called Mauricio whom claimed to be the "manager". He told me that because I didn't notify him at the window he wouldn't give me the five dollar coupon. It only took me 30 seconds to walk in. He then admitted he was at fault. He then walks to the register and hands me my receipt and changes his story with a smirk on his face. I asked him for a customer service number and I got a useless survey number. i swear to never again to eat a burger king restaurant again. At my job theres a Burger king located a block down. On any given day at least 30 associates from my job eats there. Thats going to change once I write a memo to all my co-workers and tell them of my experiences. I hope it gets ran out of business. Thank you so much for listening.

Plano, Texas: 12/30/08 Location: Park & Coit Rd. Near Elliot's True Value Hardware. First and foremost is the promotion of "APPLE Fries" is a complete misnomer, false lead-on placement next to the French Fries and Onion Rings in the Menu Banner. I initially thought, wow! how'd they do that? I then asked the counter person, what the Apple Fries were? She was poliet (A+) and explained that the "Apple Fries" were merely apple slices shaped like french fries. I asked are the apple slies fried? She replied "no, they only look like fries"
I then asked if the apple slices were hot, warm ? Her reply was they come with a warm carmel sauce. For a $1.49 or something like this amount I was willing to try this. Nothing really terrible per se, however, why does not BK simply put this fruit desert with the deserts? Secondly, I did order a double whopper, and based on my instructions, the restaurant made it exactly the way I ordered the whopper. No complaints here for following instructions. Having fast food experience, I know meals have to be seasoned to have any flavor detectable. I used my usual salt/pepper combination. My experience: I have yet ever to encounter a sandwich totally, completely, and utterly devoid of ANY TASTE whatsoever! The mustard was there, the lettuce, the onions, the pickles, and the tomatoes along with two (from apperances) well done hamburger patties. TOTALLY, ABSOLUTELY, COMPLETELY WITHOUT ANY RESERVATION A TRULY DEVOIDED TASTE ABSENT OF SENSATION. I even asked myself, why waist the calories for absolutely no taste sensation. I will not eat at BK anymore. Last trip for me.

Visited Burger King on E. Carson St. in Pittsburgh. Workers were milling around as I had just ordered a Sprite and no one else was in line. I kindly asked for my Sprite and 16 year old worker started to give me excuses why I did not have it yet. I kindly said to her simply that I just wanted my Sprite please and explanation was not necessary. Instead of getting the Sprite she stood there trying to continually give me an excuse about her doing something else. To make a this story short I will say that I did not loud talk the little ghetto pigeon nor use profanity. To my surprise she stood there and called me stupid and yelled out loud "F*&% you you ugly b%$ch" The manager was present and did not seem to care. BTW the ghetto pigeon had on horse hair covering her real hair. Have it your way my a*&. Not unless having it my way is the ghetto way.

We ate at the Burger King on 8775 Washington Blvd in Jessup, MD. My chicken sandwich was room temperature and dry. The fries were also dry and only slightly warm and tasted like its been sitting around for hours. I told my husband that I don't remember BK ever being so horrible as this time. he said what did i expect from a fast food. Ha, that's not all. My 2 year old son had a Jr. whopper sandwich and had acid reflex after a few bites. He pushed it away and my husband finished it. That wasn't the worst part. When we got home, my son complained of stomach pains and had a sour look on his face. He then threw up all over his bed. My husband had diarrea and sat on the toilet for an hour. What did I expect from a fast food restaurant? I could deal with luke warm fries but the getting sick part was just unacceptable.

I went to the BK on Twin City In Port Arthur Tx. on Saturday @ 7:30 am the 8th of March. The 3 women behind the counter were upset and cussing another employee's excuse for not being at work that morning, I sat down to wait for my order even though I was the only one there. There were breakfast sandwhiches already made up sitting under the heat lamps which I thought usually it is made when you order like mine was supposedly being done since I had to sit and wait. I started to sit at 2 different tables but they were dirty and had to have been from the night before because there were french fries on one of the tables. I sat down to wait and noticed the floors had not been cleaned since the night before also because of the frech fries under several tables and on the seats. There was a salt shaker turned over on a table, trash left on several tables. When I got my breakfast the sandwhich was cold meat , egg and chesse, and the hash rounds were dark brown with stuff on them from being cooked in old grease and you could taste the old grease absorbed in the cold hash browns. There are only 3 Burger Kings in a 20 miles radius from where I live and I have to drive that far to any one of them. I love BK but I am beginning to understand why they are closing and have had financial troubles in the past. I got onlline to find some connection to let them know about the experience so that it could be corrected and this is the only place I could find to vent.

I went through the drive thru at the Burger King on Connelley Drive, Hanover, MD location. I was trying to place an order for a breakfast sandwich that I had a buy one get one free coupon for. The russian/german lady which is always in the drive thru advised me to pull up to the window so she could see the coupon. This coupon came out of an entertainment book which was purchased through my nieces elementary school. Once she saw the coupon she asked the manager if okay to use. He said yes. I proceed to try and order the new homestyle breakfast melt which she asked the manager if okay to do. He said yes. I requested not to have sausage on them instead I wanted one with bacon and one with ham. Saugage gives me heart burn. She advised they come with bacon and kept closing drive thru window on me before getting my complete order. When she went to give me the total I finally was able to order the BK Mocha Joe I also wanted with little ice. This time she got the order complete and took my money which was $5.09. I gave her $5.10. She gave me back my 1 cent but no receipt. I got my BK Joe with no straw and was handed my bag of food. After driving away I realized she never gave me my receipt or a straw. Once I got back to work and was able to check my order, both sandwiches had sausage. I seem to always have trouble ordering when this same lady is doing drive thru. I use to go in and order but she seems to work both areas because I also get stuck with her evening when I go into the store to order. She seems to act as if she is rushed when not even busy. I feel that she does not speak or understand english very well either. I think maybe she should not be taking orders if she can't seem to get them right. I do not have this problem when visiting other Burger King locations.

I feel that the commercial where some women want to run down the king is promoting the wrong message. Just because that king comes up with a better sandwich means you've got to run him down? That is crazy I think the commercial should be taken off the air. Definitely sending out the wrong message to the young viewers.

I would just like to say that the Burger King store #4835 has the most ### service and the food is not much better. Every time I go to order Im always interrupted before i can tell the person who is on the intercom what I want. Then when you do finally get your food it looks like a bunch of damn 1st graders made it, its never right but you eat it because you are in a hurry. On any given Sunday morning McDonalds is so crowded that you cant get a parking spot and their drive thru is backed up to the road its because they have great service. BurgerKing looks like a ghost town, one car in the parking lot. Well i stated my complaint I wont eat there again, its not like its the first time I have been eating here for close to 15 years.

I went in nothing happened like should have. I got my food 45 minutes later the place was f#cked up and the employee's were lazzzy. The manager seemed to be more worried about his boyfriend and had no control over the employee's working if that's what you want to call it. I want into this Burger King located in Baltimore County, 165 Belmont Avenue. Baltimore Md. 21207. [protected]. Store Manager Linda Diggs but she wasn't in on June 24, 2007 at approx 11:11 hours. The Snap Dragan was there looking lost as ever. Maybe if his boyfriend would have stopped buy to pump him up things would have been better for the customers.

Burger King for breakfast they never have biscuits!

I frequent this Burger King location on Union Ave in Haskell, NJ very often. Unfortunately, the food is mediocre at best, but its convenient so I reluctantly continue to go there. My complaint is that 7 out of 10 times I visit this location for breakfast they NEVER have biscuits. This has been an ongoing problem for months that no seems to be addressing. The manager simply offers a substitution and the excuse is always that they are in the process of cooking. If they can't supply the items on the menu, then maybe Burger King should take them off instead of baiting and switching.

Burger King rude service and horrible food

I usually don't write these letters cause nothing ever gets done about it..but today this really pissed me off...

I was at Buger King Drive thru
Castor and Aramingo
WEd March 28th at 13:45:29 2007
#16 - Server # 5

Not only did I wait in the drive thru line for 10 minutes for a salad , but when I got to the window, the Lady was soooo freaking rude, No Hi, No Thank you, No nothing! Nothing like getting your food though at you from a drive thru window... Not only was she rude, but she was also dirty... Does no-one see this. A manager? No One? How could you let someone soooo rude and dirty work there and treat customers like crap? If they don't want to work in fast food, then they should not be hired... So I get back to the office and open up the bag with my salad in... and guess what... the lettuce was slimy and turning brown. Got a bag with the grilled chicken... no lie... 3 freaking pcs... and they charge 5.45 for this... I WILL NEVER IN MY LIFE GO TO ANY BURGER KING AS LONG AS I LIVE AND WILL SPREAD THE WORD ABOUT THE CASTOR AND ARAMINGO BRANCH... Your managers should see this and correct the problem, or maybe the managers are the ones you should take a second look at...

Very pissed ex-customer!

Burger King lewd commercial

The Burger King Ballet was a fantastic idea until they came to the end, when a ballerina reaches into a mans pockets and makes obvious sexual motions while removing a dollar bill from his pocket. it was truly disgusting and completely offended me.

i don't think i COULD eat at Burger King after watching that.

I want the Burger King Commercial I saw last night to be remove because of the physical violence it promotes. A woman standing over a man hits him several times. The commercial was offensive and sends a message that physical violence is "ok" in society. We have a big enough problem battling the ignorance of physical violence but to mainstream this is appalling. I think you need a lot more creativity in your commercials and to make more thoughtful decisions in how you will be received by the public because believe me I'm sure I'm not the only one that plans on avoiding spending my time or money at Burger King because of the poor decisions they have made with commercials. I hope this changes soon.

This company should fire the idiots that are creating these stupid commercials. Then fire the idiots that are overseeing the creation of the commercials and oking them to be watched by the public. Constant gay undertones with the nasty, scary "Burger King". Dont you people watch the commercials before letting them be seen? Newest commercial, the "Burger King" is in a bedroom yet again with guys. Your commercials give night mares. Fire and rehire!

I'm not a right-wing conservative, but I am concerned about the well-being of our children, and the Burger King commercial is indeed inappropriate for Kids Meals.

As a side note, the world would be done a favor if BK went bankrupt. Their stocks are falling and good riddance. This company does nothing for communities, nothing for aesthetics of cities, nothing for our health. Thank God Whole Foods is right up the street and it is always busier than the fast-food contaminant.

I personally am quite appauld by your square butts comercial. I thought Burger King is trying to appeal to children of all ages. Where a teenager or adult might think this is an appropriate comercial, it is not geared at all for little ones. They like Spongebob and The King but the sexual inuendos could have been left out. I will have to give some thought to taking my grandchildren into Burger King from now on .Penny in Lingle

We usually eat at BK at least once a week with our Grandchildren. I saw your new square pants commercial. Goodbye to BK and hello McDonalds or Wendys.
The commercial was totally offensive. When you have to answer a question like, "Mawmaw, what's a bootie" from your young grandchild...shame on you. You are helping to destroy this countries younger childrens' youth.

Grab your crotch a few more times and then remove your commercial. At least someone should enjoy it, have at it.

I saw the "square butts" comercial tonight, which is promoting their Bob SquarePants deal for children.
Have they lost touch with reality?
I hope that anyone who loves children and the future of this country will send a strong message to those idiots and stop going to Burger King while telling everyone they know to do the same.

The only people I see complaining are parents of young children. Instead of pointing fingers, maybe try looking in the mirror first. What goes on in your children's minds starts with you. Not the TV, not the radio, but you. If this commercial promotes violence, then Popeye the Sailor Man promotes smoking tobacco out of a pipe. And for some reason, people thought Spongebob Squarepants promoted homosexuality.

Turn off the TV or change the channel if you don't like the things that are on it. There are 500 other channels available nowadays. Choose one.

Burger King no one knew how to do a gift card!

Today, February 6, 2007, I went to Burger King located in Greenfield, MA 01301, I wanted to purchase a gift card for a friends birthday. I went inside the restaurant and asked for a gift card. The cashier did not know how to do a gift card, she proceeded to ask another employee and they too did not know how to do a gift card. She then asked the manager for help and to my shock the Manager DID NOT know how to do a gift card either! Not a single person in the restaurant knew how to sell a gift card. I feeling that this is pretty shocking I can understand an employee not knowing how to do it but for a manager not know how to do it is ridiculous!

Burger King very offensive commercial against women!

The commercial for this item on the menu is very offensive to women. As a female i feel as though it is not fair to say that by eating this burger it will make you more of a man. I get the impression that it is saying that only a man could possibly eat this burger.Well I can challenge that theory, I can eat the whole burger plus a medium drink and fries. Also this commercial makes the assumption that all women eat small servings of basically nothing, which is not true. Women can do just about everything men can do.

Some people have too much time on their hands, and not anything worth living for. Why not get involved in something like volunteering in a school, helping deliver meals to elderly, etc. If you are this obsessed with an ad, there is something missing in you. I opened the site, because I was intrigued. I am trying to help scanned senior citizens recoup money they were conned out of by Royal Holiday Club.

Remember the goal of advertisements is to reach a certain market. Think of all the salad ads or ads promoting healthier food choices. Those ads usually feature women and children because that is who the target market is. But put out a wimpy salad ad for guys and it is like ho hum... where's the remote? So to get the attention of those macho guys who think they are are more carnivorous than a pride of lions... they put out a big juicy burger ad.

Get real! That commercial is not at all offensive to women! It is simply stating that in usual statistics, men do tend to eat more than women! That's a proven fact. If you can down the burger, the fries and the drink, more power to you, but you really shouldn't be reading that much into a BK Commercial!
