Was told on first visit I had periodontal disease which surprised me as I had no history of that. They did a “deep cleaning” and applied local antibiotics. I paid $300 even with insurance. On subsequent visits my cleanings were routine like any other patient. Was still paying $300 out of pocket for having a “history of peridontal disease”. As an RN I know it’s wrong to charge by patient history. Billing should be according to actual procedures. Feel cheated over last few years.
Claimed loss: $300 out of pocket for 6 cleanings that should have been free with insurance. Total $1800.
Desired outcome: Refund of $1800 overpaid.
