Failed root canal
Had a root canal in Dec 2018. Came back for cleaning in March and told the dentist that treated tooth was sensitive and throbbing. Dentist x-rayed tooth and probed and told me it was fine. Dentist said it might be a slight gum infection. Came back in May with the same complaint and told Dentist it was throbbing every night and waking me up. Dentist did the same as before and told me it was fine. Returned in July withe the same complaint as it was getting intolerable. Doctor said it looked good and referred me to a specialist. Specialist did a 3D scan and said the root split off and there was an affected void the that the dentist did not see because an x-ray would not pick it up. Specialist said he would re-do it for $860 out of pocket or get it extracted (Also said Bight dental could not do a redo because they would not have the equipment to see the problem). I made an appointment with bright Dental to get the tooth extracted. I had to wait a week to get in with excruciating throbbing pain. Showed up only to be told all appointments were cancelled since computers were down. I left and went to a private dentist. He took one look at the tooth and said it very very infected at the bone level. Dr. Shultz was shocked that Bright Now did not give me any antibiotics and did not check my bight on any of the visits. He told me the infection had pushed the tooth up and it was hitting the tooth above. Dr. Shultz put me on antibiotics and corrected my bight. I go tomorrow July 16th to have the tooth extracted by Dr. Shultz. I am out of pocket around $1000 and will have no tooth. I want the $1000 for this botched root canal returned to me (root canal fee, office visits, Specialists fee, and private practitioner fee for extraction). I am not includind money for the 7 months of pain and suffering and loss of sleep. But will do so with my lawyers assistance if I do not recoup this money from Bright Now Dental. Jim McCullough
Extraction of wisdom tooth and dry socket treatment
On January 24, 2019 I called the Bright Now Dental Office located at 1764 Bruce B Downs Blvd., Wesley Chapel, FL to inquire about the need for my wife Kathleen Weeden to be seen because of a possible impacted wisdom tooth. We were scheduled for an appointment at 1:00 p.m. for evaluation, x-rays and determination of next steps regarding Kathleen's issues. Kathleen was examined by Dentist Maryam Habbi and was referred to Bright Now Dental office in Citrus Park to see an oral surgeon regarding the extraction of her #17 tooth which was identified as semi-impacted.
Our appointment at Bright Now Dental was scheduled for Friday, January 25, 2019 @ 3:30 p.m. with Dr. Fernando Jimenez. Dr. Jimenez after examination determined that the #17 tooth must be extracted and provided nitrous oxide to Kathleen to assist her in the process of this surgery. Dr. Jimenez extracted the #17 tooth and via his dental assistant provided us with instructions as to the after-surgery care, prescriptions for pain and recommendations for instructions of wound care along with after hours Emergency Contact Information. (See the attached document provided to us on Friday, January 25, 2019.
We obtained the prescription immediately after leaving Dr. Jimenez office and started the after-care process upon arrival at our home.
Kathleen experienced severe pain throughout the night Friday and the entire day on Saturday, January 26, 2019. During this time, she continued to follow the guidelines as prescribed by the Dentist.
On Sunday, January 27, 2019 Kathleen was still in extreme pain, so I attempted to call Dr. Jimenez as identified in the Emergency Contact Information. The phone number provided just rang and rang with a voice prompt that indicated this cell phone was not set up to receive voice mail messages. So, I attempted to call this cell number several times before calling the Citrus Park office number where I was finally connected to a call center for Bright Now Dental at 2:15 p.m. I informed the call center of my wife's situation and was assured that they would contact the Dentist and that they would call me back.
After waiting 30 more minutes I called the call center again and provided the information about my wife to the call center. They assured me that they would notify the Dentist and I would be contacted shortly. By 3:15 pm I had not heard from the Dentist nor the call center so placed another call only to find out that the call center was growing in frustration as they had not heard from the Dentist either. At 4:15 p.m. the call center called me and informed me that I should try to call the Dentist at the cell phone number provided.
Why do I need to call the Dentist when I had provided the call center with all the details on how to contact us? Why wouldn't the Dentist call us directly?
I called the cell phone number and was surprised that Dr. Jimenez answered this time at 4:20 p.m. over two hours since I had attempted to contact his Emergency Phone Number. Dr. Jimenez could not recall my wife's situation as he explained he had numerous surgeries and should not be expected to have total recall. He informed me that there was nothing he could do and offered not any immediate regarding a concern of taking care of my wife's situation.
He suspected that it could be a dry socket which was causing her pain and that she should contact the dentist who referred her to him to schedule a visit as any dentist could assist with relieving the pain associated with a dry socket. I informed Dr. Jimenez that his cell phone was not programmed to receive voice messages and perhaps he should program it to allow future patients to contact him via his cell phone.
Kathleen went through another night of pain and still following the care instructions and prescription medications as prescribed by Dr. Jimenez. On Monday, January 27, 2019, I called Dr. Jimenez office to inquire about having my wife revisiting his office as her condition had not changed. The receptionist informed me that we could not see Dr. Jimenez until Thursday, January 31, 2019 as that is when he is in that office.
So, we decided to wait another day to see if her condition would improve or not.
On Tuesday, January 29th at 9:29 a.m. I texted Dr. Jimenez to give me a call as his cell phone still had not been programmed for voice messages.
I called the Bright Now Dental office in Citrus Park where I provided an update on my wife's situation and they suggested I call Dr. Maryam Habbi at the Wesley Chapel office as she could see my wife, identify the situation as a dry socket and provide the appropriate care.
So, I called the Wesley Chapel office and made an appointment for my wife at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 29, 2019 with Dr. Habbi.
I finally received a call back from Dr. Jimenez at 12:30 p.m. after sending him a text at 9:29 a.m. and he repeated the same information that any general dentist could see my wife and provide her with assistance if this was a dry socket. I informed him that we were seeing Dr. Habbi at 1:00 p.m.
Upon seeing my wife Dr. Habbi informed my wife that she did not have a dry socket and would provide her with an additional prescription of Ibuprofen to assist in providing a means to reduce the pain. Dr. Habbi was very rude and not compassionate at all regarding my wife's condition along with informing her she should not use Ice or Heat to assist in reducing the painful situation. During this visit to Dr. Habbi's office I was approached by a staff member asking about our experience with Bright Now Dental and I informed her of what we had experienced to date. She suggested that we post a complaint in a review about our experiences.
Later Tuesday, January 29th around 4:00 p.m. I received a call from Maryann from the Bright Now Dental Office of Citrus Park and was concerned about what she had learned regarding my wife's situation and offered to have my wife seen at the Citrus Park office on Wednesday, January 30th @ 10:00 a.m. Maryann was very apologetic and emphatic towards my wife's consist painful experience. However, she informed me that Dr. Jimenez Emergency Contact Number was a cell phone and preferred to receive text messages as I informed her that it was not set up to receive voice mail messages. No where in the contact information does it tell you to text Dr. Jimenez. She also stated that on weekends Dr. Jimenez travels to Puerto Rico to assist patients there. So how can he provide Emergency Services if he is out of the country? So the After Hours Emergency Contact Information is misleading in our eyes.
On Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. my wife was seen at the Bright Now Citrus Park office by a Dr. Hecht where he identified that she did have a dry socket and provided medication to affected area.
As of today, Monday, February 3, 2019 my wife is still in much pain and we are uncertain as to who do we contact as the overall care with Bright Now Dental has been very suspect to say the least
Have an infection large abcess waited an hour and 10 minutes doctor came in was told has a full schedule wrote me a prescription and sent me on my way
I scheduled the appointment because I have been up in severe pain I noticed I have an abscess bump on my gum. Thoroughly explain this to the lady when I made the appointment that I need to be seen for this infection not a cleaning or a full exam. I explain that I didn't want to go to that office have them see me on Friday afternoon not do treatment and have me stuck Friday evening with no office open to see me and that's exactly what just happened to me now I have an abscess a toothache excruciating pain sat in the dental office for an hour and 15 minutes and was handed prescription and a referral slip. When I made the appointment I told them that if that office couldn't guarantee to address the issue at hand the no problem I wouldn't schedule and I would I would try another office and they said they could and scheduled my appointment now it's 4:42 p.m. on a Friday afternoon and I'm in excruciating pain in my car driving home. The dentist who came in diagnosis and what she was going to recommend before she even saw me. She put gloves on checked my tooth real quick with an Explorer looked at my abscess and told me she was going to give me antibiotics and I have to come back for treatment I asked her why she couldn't do it now she said she had a full schedule told her I was in pain she told me that antibiotics will help and pain meds will help I wanted and needed treatment done. She told me I need an extraction the tooth is not savable and that I can make an appointment for Tuesday for the extraction they released me to the front room then the assistant came out with my prescriptions and a referral slip told me that they can't do the extraction there that I would have to call the oral surgeon thank you goodbye and didn't make me another appointment for the other tooth that was hurting me that I asked her to look at didn't collect any patient portion fees nothing it blew me off like don't come back good riddance and I'm going to call the dental board Dental Society I'm going to find out how to file a complaint. I'm an RDA of 23 years I worked in three Private Practice dental offices very productive very prominent dental offices I got sick with rheumatoid arthritis had to take a few years off that's why my teeth are the way they are but right now was a great option for dental care because they took payments and I heard they were good genuine office but I'm now questioning whether they're even licensed, they didn't seem very knowledgeable. They let me leave with a massive infection in my mouth and blood pressure of 146/109 without even telling me my blood pressure was high. The reason I knew it was High's because I asked the assistant what it was when she took it. Wondering if that's the normal practice at that office? If she was referring me to an oral surgeon because of blood pressure or any other issues she was supposed to discuss that with me but she did not she told me I could schedule an appointment with them on Tuesday for the extraction but had her assistant come out and let me know I had to go to an oral surgeon for reasons unknown. Thought that somebody should know what's going on at this office very very very disappointed I would never recommend this office to anybody ever being an RDA and seeing what went on do not take your families there don't risk their lives.
Customer service
I made an appointment a week before 12-30-16 to get my annual check up & cleaning before the new calendar year. I received 2 emails and 1 phone call verifying my appointment. 2 hours before my appointment I received a call from their office saying that their hygienist was out of the country and would have to reschedule for the 4th of January? Horrible company! I'm just glad they never had a chance to butcher my mouth like some of these other reviewers.
New dentures
On my first visit to Bright-Now Dental, the Dentist and one of the office girls told me that I would have to pay an additional $800.00 to get a better quality set of dentures. I was skeptical because I felt like they were just trying to make more then what my insurance was paying for new dentures. Then on my last visit (on 6-13-16) the dentist informed me that the reason I was paying the additional $800.00 dollars was because he had to use more materials to make the dentures. I fill like I have been lied to and that the doctor was taking advantage of me. In the first place I had informed the doctor that I was on Social Security and that I couldn't afford the extra $800. They have a contract with Care Credit and that's how they arrange to get you a loan to help pay the charges over and above what your insurance pays. I want charges filed because the doctor is practicing fraud, taking advantage of senior citizens. I would also like to have my money back. The mid line is off by about an eight of an inch and I want this fixed.
New dentures
Bright Now Dental told me on my first visit that I would needed to upgrade for a better quality set of dentures for an additional cost of $800.00. At the time of my first visit I felt like I was getting the run around about the extra $800.00. The office clerk was also pushing me for the extra cost. They so conveniently had a program with Synchrony Bank called Care Credit. I explained that I was on Social Security, the extra co-pay for out of pocket expense in the amount of $800.00 was more than I could afford When I returned today 6-13-16 the dentist told me something totally different as to why I was paying an additional $800.00 this time it was because he used extra materials to make my dentures. I believe
Not honoring my scheduled appointment
I was there last month for my sons ortho and the orthodontist advice us to have some of his teeth extracted before putting the wire in. So we made an appoinment at that time. They gave us 4-6-15 at 4:00 pm. I, ve tried to make a re-appoinment twice, the last one is friday (4-3-15) but with no luck. I wanted a reschedule so he can play for his game and at the same I dont have to get a days off at work. So we showed up today 4-6-15 as scheduled. They told us right away that they can not bring him in. I believe that somebody gave favor for our expense, or they not even put us on their schedule. I have the card where they write my appointment. Any suggestion what can I do right now
Horrible dental office
I have healthy family /Safeguard HMO. they assigned me to this nasty horrible office BRIGHT NOW DENTAL IN VENICE. the dentist there (I don't want to mention the name at this time since I think she is a victim of this office making her do whatever she did) said my daughter has 3 cavities and the assistant doing the cleaning made my daughter cry while she never had this kind of experience with any other dentist before. She was extremely rough handling her physically and verbally while I was in the room present.
I asked for referral to a pedodentist who works with kids. They refused. The staff were extremely rude specially the woman called Jocelyn. I changed my general HMO from them to another. They told me she only has 1 cavity on her baby tooth which was a baby root canal and all other teeth were perfect. they refered me to a pedodentist and he said the same thing and he worked on 1 tooth only.
It is so sad that this office wanted to drill the permanent teeth of a 8 year old which just came out a year ago for money. When I complained the manager "April" said they don't do this for money since they work for free and they don't get any money!
I will do everything in my power to stop this for the sake of other innocent patients ... (the sad thing is that the tooth that needed a baby root canal, they wanted to do a normal filling so they would get paid once now and once in few months when she would suffer pain again because they failed to do proper job and get paid again !)
Also, I had an appointment with a Orthodentist in the same office. I called and wanted to make sure I don't have to deal with the same staff. They assured me that the staff is separate. When I showed up on my appointment which they gave me, they told me that I can not be seen. They apparentley did not want to make another issue for themselves since they knew they can not mess with me.
Sadly all their patients are people who have no money with no choice to have governmental insurance. They do this to all the patients who don't know what is going on. I read another location had 22 bad reviews with not one good one.
PLEASE STOP THEIR CRIME !
We had an appointment at 3:30. It's now 4:25, we've been waiting for an hour and we still haven't been called in. This is a ridiculous. What is the point of making an appointment if they're going to keep us here an hour over?! I'm so frustrated and will never be returning back.
This seems pretty bad, I think you should call the main dental health organization of California and tell them what happened. These people are hurting patients and do not know what they are doing, they need to be told by someone of authority that what they are doing is terrible and inhumane. I do understand your experience, a dentist of mine kicked me out of his clinic in San Antonio, Tx because I was inquisitive and fearful of an extraction, plus wanted my x rays and his staff called to scream at me on the phone that I am not welcomed in there clinic anymore. Don't go back to that clinic ever again.
Kill for money

Neglecting to give care
The most important complaint, bright now dental (michelle) called me and informed I that my daughter didnt have coverage and I can pay cash so i asked for the insurance coverage information number so I can call. I did so and was informed that my kids have dental coverage with no end date at this time. My daughter has een complaining about tooth pain for 4 days now. This company already took 2 months to give me an appointment and then one of my kids appointment gets cancel and no one calls to inform me. It also took one hour and half to see the dentist after set appointment time.

Bait & switch
Bait and Switch tactics used blatantly, especially with the regular cleaning offer advertised- almost ALWAYS pressured by false statements into a "deep cleaning". I did not let them get to this point with me, thank God, because my root canal billing mess made me fed up before we even got to the cleaning. Anyhow~ I have insurance, check for local dentist...

I recently moved to Florida and was looking for a dentist for my biannual cleaning. I received a flyer in the mail with coupons from Bright Now! Dental offering $39.00 for x-rays and 50% off a regular cleaning so I scheduled my appointment for both. When I get to the office I am taken in the back for an unusually high amount of X-rays. I am then told that I will not be getting a cleaning today as it is state law that a patient must receive x-rays first and then schedule a separate appointment for cleaning, which to me sounds shady. The x-ray girl was surprised at my reaction and said I should've been told this when scheduling my appointment. I was not told this, if I was, I wouldn't have gone to this dentist. After my x-rays the dentist takes a look in my mouth for a few minutes and we talk about a small crack in one of my fillings that I would like to have repaired. He said my teeth are in great condition and he could take care of the crack when I come back for my cleaning since it was such a minor problem. The x-ray girl comes back to talk to me about my cleaning. Now, I have gone to the dentist regulary since I have teeth ( I'm 41 years old), with no problems whatsoever besides the occasional cavity when I was a child. I take great care of my teeth (pre-rinse, brush, floss, use my own scraper for in between dentist visits etc.) and am quite certaun that I will only need a regular cleaning but the x-ray girl keeps talking about this "deep cleaning". I bring this up and she says I need a deep cleaning because I have a small amount of placque that showed up on one of the x-rays. So this is the way they get out of the 50% off "regular cleaning" . She asks if I have insurance, which I reply I do not. I ask her how much the cleaning is going to cost and she says a lot. I'm wondering to myself how much is a lot? $300.00? $500.00? My previous dentist in Pennsylvania charged about $90.00 a visit, which included scaling/scraping of the teeth, flossing, polishing and a look in the mouth from the dentist to make sure everything looked alright. I go out to the front office and almost have a stroke when I am told it will cost $1, 000.00! This, to me, is an absolute outrage. I am including a copy of this bill so you can see for yourself. The bill also includes the fixing of the small crack in my filling as well, bringing the total estimate to $1, 478.00. AVOID BRIGHTNOW DENTAL at all costs...they are a rip-off!

I recently had the complete opposite experience with Dr. Balch and the Brite Now staff in Satellite Beach! My root canal and crown, plus deep cleaning, were done with upmost care and precision, not to mention the calming attitudes and informative nature regarding my teeth. I didn't even need NO2, which I have always had in the past. The price was very reasonable. Dr. Balch and staff are the best and I plan on seeing them regularly. Highly recommend! Kate B.
I was taken for over almost $500 on first visit. I live with debilitating pain and I literally bust my ### to make ends meet. I feel completely taken advantage of by this office. I'm all about giving folks a second chance, however I should've found another office as soon as I had my first experience. I had an appointment which I made 2 months prior after many hours on the phone with office manager and my insurance company, I took off work show up, no appointment. No apology from anyone. The office manager remembered our conversation yet she just said there's no appointment. I worked in a very busy Dr.'s office before and it happens, you are supposed to do the right thing apologize, OWN UP TO IT and make it right! I wasn't able to get in 3 weeks after that! Even though they are the ones that made a mistake. I've given them my new phone & address 3 times. I was charged $450 for a cleaning of only half my mouth and that's with insurance! I truly feel like I was completely ripped off and I now have an abscessed wisdom tooth which is making me very very sick I called after hours (Friday evening about 8pm) no one called me back. The person who answered the phone had nothing but attitude. It's a shame because I liked the Dr. when I met him and I liked the hygienist, however it is very obvious that they are highly understaffed at front desk and all they care about is making big money. There are plenty of other places to go. Save yourself the hassle.
Brought my children in for cleanings and they couldn't do them they need special cleanings. Which they go every 6 months and never been told this. The wait is outrages and the girl up front is very very rude. We will be changing for sure.
THE DOCTOR AT THE ALEXANDRIA, VA -- DUKE ST..--- OFFICE REALLY CARE BUT WHEN IT COMES TO THE FRONT OFFICE.. THEY WASRE WONDERFUL.
I HAVE BEEN A LONG TIME PATIENT. THERE WERE SEVERAL PEOPLE COMING AND GOING. BUT THERE WERE SEVERAL I WOULD LOVE TO SEE WHEN I ENTER ALL WERE VERY FRIENDLY AND NICE THOSE WHO LEFT WERE ;
MONA / SUSANNA / NORA / YARNIA / -- AND NOW I GO AND SHARON IS GONE.. THIS WAS AN AWESOME TEAM.. ALWAYS MADE MY DAY TO GO TO THE DENTAL OFFICE..
IM NOT SURE BUT THE OFFICE MANAGER THAT THEY HAVE NOW IS AS ### AND SHE LIES AND SHE TRIED TO SALE THE TREATMENT. I HAD TO FIND ANOTHER DENTIST, BECAUSE SHE I COULDN NOT DEAL WITH...
AND I CALLED TO SEE IF SHARON WAS THERE TO JUST SAY HELLO AND WAS TOLD SHE NO LONGER WORK THERE.. I NO NOW BRIGHT NOW DENTAL DONT VALUE THERE EMPOYEE AND IF THATS THE CASE THEY DONT VALUE PATIENTS...
GOOD BYE... BRIGHT NOW ---
EVERYONE PLEASE DONT GET HOOKED BY THIS EVIL PERSON...
SHE LOOK LIKE SARE PALIN...
Ahhhhhhhh! Do NOT, Do NOT, go here! I lived in Cocoa Beach for several years and at that time, this was the only dentist I was allowed to go to through our insurance, that wasn't more than 10 miles away, so I had a lot of work done there. I knew something wasn't right when I continued to have lots of pain long after my root canal. The pain was excruciating even after taking heavy duty pain medication. I went back to the office about 3 times with this problem. Each time, the dentist, Dr. Balch, said I should NOT be having any pain since the nerve is now dead. Finally after a couple months, the pain seemed to go away on its own. Why didn't they recommend someone that specializes in endodontics? Recently we just moved back to California and have seen a dentist here who recommended I see an endodontist. I just had a root canal today and will have another one tomorrow, both on the teeth that I had problems with at Bright Now Dental in Satellite Beach. My endodonist told me I probably have an infection and or an abscess in these teeth due to they were NOT sealed properly in the first place! So, great...now I have to pay for root canals again, in the same teeth, that were not sealed properly in the first place! Also, every time I had my teeth cleaned there, they said I HAD to have the periodontic deep cleaning, which yes...costs a lot more. They told me, once you have HAD the periodontic cleaning and even though your pockets have improved, you will ALWAYS HAVE TO HAVE the deep cleaning! MMMMM? I have had my teeth cleaned here in CA and I told them this and they said: NO, my teeth are fine and there is no need to have the more expensive cleaning! So, back to the previous complaints...YES! Its a big SCAM! I also would NOT recommend any cancer screenings either! That is probably a scam too! Stay away from this place!
I am not sure if Dr. Balch is still there but if he is, I would stay away from him. Along with the root canal problems, I have had problems with a couple of crowns he has worked on as well. In both cases, they fell out after only a couple days!
We just left the Satellite Beach office of Bright Now Dental and they totally ripped us off.
We made an appointment to see about the cost of having my teenage daughter's two front teeth repaired - they both have minor chips. We were told the consult was free and she would need some x-rays before getting an estimate. They did her x-rays immediately when she walked in. When the dentist entered a few moments later he looked inside her mouth for about 5 seconds - said there was nothing he could do to fix the chips because she had a "cross bite" that would need to be repaired before any other work could be done. Then he told her he needed to take more x-rays - even though he would not be the one doing the "cross bite" repair, she would need to go to an orthodontist. At this moment is when the alarm bells started ringing!
This man should have taken the 5 seconds to check her mouth BEFORE performing completely unnecessary x-rays and - then he had the audacity to inform he "needed" to do even MORE completely unnecessary x-rays even though he could not do the work!
They just scammed us out of the cost of these x-rays and would have taken us for a lot more if we had not seen the scam unfolding in front of our eyes. It's outrageous! Do NOT go to this office!
I was told by Bright Now Dental that I had seven deep pockets and that I would need to spend extra money to get my teeth cleaned. At my last cleaning in Colorado 6 months previously I had no problems at all. I decided to go to another dentist to get a second opinion being told I had 7 deep pockets by Bright Now Dental and you guessed it I had NO pockets that were of any concern. I told Bright Now Dental in Ocala about my experience and they just said they do things different at different dental offices. I do not trust Bright Now Dental and think they have a scam going on.

Terrible dental service
I have been seeking Dental treatment for several years at this the location. I had temporary crowns put on in 2009. I still have on temporary crowns. I went back four times. and sat in the chair for up to four hours at a time. The Dentist was unable to seat the crowns. Was told over and over the crowns needed to be redone. This group has placed my health...

Unprofessional and deserving to be investigated
Bright Now Dental in Kent was one of the worst experiences I have ever had at a dental office in my 47 years. Besides having to wait, I had to witness the Russian lady manager yell at the poor assistant which brought her to tears, in front of an entire waiting room of people. I have never seen someone treated like trash on their shoe, in front of an audience of people, like it was nothing. Her face was stone cold. I mean really, you are a manager? I was so upset by witnessing this harrassment that I had to take my anger to the internet. I doubt they care much. They seem like a dental "fast food" chain that doesnt care about their patients, or their employees. They just want your money. Steer away from this place located on 108th and Kent Kangley by Rite Aid, Bank of America and Walgreens.

The best office in federal way
I usually do not write reviews, but I was appaled to read some of the previous reviews about Bright Now Dental in Federal Way.I have been a client with Bright Now Dental in Federal Way since they opened in 07They have been nothing but nice to me and my three kids. They are very amxious seeing a dentist but when we go to the clinic, we are treated with such kindness and understanding that they've almost become part of my family, starting with the receptionist that checks us in to the dentist that always takes his time to work with the kids through their anxiety and the check up.
As far as being overcharged, ON THE CONTRARY! The manager always tries to make sure that we are charged correctly and assist us in anyway needed. They are always able to explain what I am being charged for and why.
I would NOT GO ANYWHERE ELSE for my families' dental needs.
Traumitizing my son
Never ever take your child here! My son is eight years old, and was going in for a cavity. He was prepared, he knew what was going to happen and why it needed to happen. When we went in he asked the tech assistant( who i don't know her name- she's the only asian girl in the office) to tell him before they gave him the shot. (so he can be ready!) She told him he was not getting a shot! Then he freaked because he thought he was going to feel the cavity being filled! Then the imbecile told my son she should give ME a shot! At this point he was terrified! This little GIRL has NO business working with children- especially in the dental or medical field! I don't know who allowed her to obtain such a job, but they should be repremanded along with her! The office manager showed no sing of compassion or that she cared about the well being of children either. I will never take my children there again! If you love your children- don't take them either!

TOTALLY UNPROFESSIONAL...HAD TO WAIT 2 HOURS IN THE WAITING ROOM, THEN THEY STICK ME BACK IN A ROOM FOR ANOTHER HOUR...TRIED TO BE PATIENT ...BUT WITH A FIVE YEAR OLD KINDA IMPOSSIBLE WOOOWWWW PEOPLE HAVE LIVES...SO WE LEFT WITHOUT BEING SEEN
Scam
I asked for a specific dental treatment and was given something different. My insurance covered 90% of the bill I had already paid my 10% and they drug me thru the mud for 2 weeks trying to get my tooth fixed. I was told that I would not have to pay anymore money and when I finally got my tooth fixed they then proceeded to tell me that I owed them more money, and that if I did not pay them by the end of the business day they were going to send me to collections. To top it all off the actual dentist burned my cheeks and gums all up. Please for the sake of you and your loved ones do not use this dentist office. I would rather let my teeth fall out then get scammed again

Brightnow Dental is an awful group. I went to them over and over again to have crowns put on several teeth.
Two years later I still have temporary crowns and a chronic abscess. They have caused me nothing but anguish.
Avoid this group...
WOW I too have been dealing wth the Bright Now dental in Pinellas Park. A year ago I was told I needed a root canal and a crown on a tooth that did not hurt, just a filling came out. I held off becaue I really did not believe I need that work. Now I am told it can be filled. A year later.
I have no choice but to go back there. Our insureance is running out but I really am not hppay with needing to go there.
I agree Bright Now Dental in Pinellas Park Fl is a big scam operation. They claim to take your insurance but make up their own prices as they go. Worst bunch of crooks I'v ever delt with.
Scam
This place has been a nightmare. All we wanted was our family to have cleanings. our insurance pays this 100% including the x-rays. We get a bill for everyone that we owe money! The office manager tells us what kind of services we need, isnt that the job of the dentist? or us? she has been giving us a more expensive cleaning so that we pay...even though we ask for the regular, free one. now I've gone in to ask for our x-rays (which again WE paid for) there are 4 or us. she wants $25 per x-ray to release them to us! I paid for one, and she hands me a black and white photo copy she just printed up...paper and ink must have really gone up. DONT USE BRIGHT NOW IN FEDERAL WAY! They scam you into more expensive cleanings that are not covered by your insurance. then charge for everylittle thing they do
i had a little chip on my front tooth. he sawed down both my front teeth and then “fixed” them letting me leave looking like a rabbit. this doctor and his daughter were so evil
A class action is needed. Bright Now Dental uses shady practices and tried to pressure me into spending $1, 000 while I was in the chair. When I refused they resided me service. I went in to have 2 teeth pulled. I was told I would eventually need to get bone graphs done but the teeth could be pulled without. I went in for my appointment and was told I needed the graphs done that day and would have to pay $500.00 per tooth, a total of $1, 000.00. The doctor, Dr. Hackman told me she would not pull the teeth unless I paid. I expressed my confusion and frustration, in a polite manner, did not curse nor raise my voice. First I was told my appointment would need to be rescheduled. Then the story changed and I was told I would need to go get a second opinion before the doctor would do my procedure. Then the story changed again and I was refused service completely. I was in severe pain and Dr. Hackman refused to see me. No compassion or bedside manner. She is a crook, and Bright Now supports her ways, I have found a handful of others with the same exact complaint about her. Something needs to be done to stop her tyrannical practices.
The front teeth they gave my fiance was too long, and that made all off his bottom teeth grind down to half. They don't carry about customers, just money. We were hoping to find other people they are messing with for a class action. You can contact me at lisastarlite@gmail.com
I am replying to your comments about Bright Now Dental I am interested in a class action they charged me thousands of dollars to put an upper permanent bridge in my mouth the bridge was in less than 2 years fell out of my mouth and broke all my upper teeth down to the gums along with it! I was left with just gums and no upper teeth whatsoever except for one molar on either side of my mouth when I went into the office they tried to blame me and say it was my fault when that absolutely was not true then they asked me for $41,000 to fix it when I told them absolutely Not that they need to fix the damage to my mouth they tried to send me home holding the bridge in my hand with just upper gums and no way to even eat food when I threatened to sue them they glued it back to my gums holding on only with my two molars that were left in my upper mouth and told me it's probably going to fall out again in a few days I could not begin to tell you the stress and anxiety I have been feeling and the fear of eating anything as they told me to only have soft foods like soup and mashed potatoes, they are responsible for the negligent work and I am very interested in the class action suit if someone will answer me back with the way to directly get a hold of them I would be extremely grateful the office I went to was in Los Angeles the Pico and San Vicente office thank you
I'll do one with you they literally destroyed my mouth
I will do one too they completely destroyed my mouth in disregarded Me and every single way
Bright now dental in norwalk, ca needs to be investigated. I have already filed a complaint against the office. beware of the office manager, liz. she is a scam artist and tells you false information. I went in for a root canal consultation and before I could even see the endodontist she handed me a bill for $1300 dollars. this included the root canal procedure and the crown. when I questioned her about the large amount, she told me she would remove the crown off the bill. the crown was listed for $100. there were also two very large charges that I asked her about. one was for code d3330 - rct obstruction for $593 & d3999 - unspec endo proc. she told me the obstruction is not covered and the other charge was for medicine used during the procedure. medicine! needless to say I contacted my insurance and they told me the obsbruction wasnt covered and the d3999 unspecified procedure, they were not aware of. my insurance company suggested I get a referral from my dentist so that I could get a second opinion. this is when liz told me, they do not give referrals due to they have an endodontist on site. another lie! I have the right to get a second opinion. ultimately, I was able to get the referral after I walked into the dentist office and asked him. I went to have a new consult with another specialist and they charged me $360 for the root canal and $100 for the crown. bright now dental was charging me $1300 for the same thing. beware people and always get a second opinion. it may save you thousands of dollars...
Hello, we had a similiar circumstance at brightness. I am looking for other people with similiar experience to bring a class action suit. Im a former dental office manager and can help you get a refund as well. Contact me at Brianbartczak@hotmail.com please title email as BrightNow
Well I was humiliated by a office staff and she tried to snatch the bib from around my neck! You can reach me at +[protected]
Bright Now Dental should be investigated! They are crooks. I just finished from getting a deep cleaning that they recommended. They told me $380 for the whole mouth and completed my whole mouth in 1 hr. Then when going to pay, they told me $380 is only for half of my mouth. I told them I was under the impression $380 was for the whole mouth. I also have insurance. The front desk lied. I told them if you told me it was for half of my mouth why am I so shocked right now? And why didn’t you have me sign two $380 contracts or just one with the complete total of $760?
I’m furious! They need to be investigated, return money to everyone and be shut down!
I am not paying anything. More research needs to be done.
Not knowing much about dentures, I went to Bright Now Dental to get dentures for my roommate. They gave me an estimate for the extractions and then when my roommate was in the chair (drugged) the surgeon told me it would be a bit more for the teeth pulling because the teeth were deep. Well, it ended up being nearly 4, 000 to extract her upper teeth! I was shocked when I went to the check out! And that was supposedly with a discount from the surgeon. Absolutely outrageous! That, of course was not including the temporary upper plate or the permanent denture which added up to another 1, 000. These people are scammers, cheats and along with it, unfriendly and unprofessional. Don't EVER go this low quality dental chain. It's the McDonald's of the dentist offices.
We've been using Bright Now for the last 2 years, mostly for cleaning and cavities. 3 months ago I needed to see a dentist right away for urgent needs. I was told that the next available time would be in 3 months. I told them I had an urgent situation. Their response: Sorry but the next available time is in 3 months. So I called another place and had to wait just 2 days.
Today (Oct I5, 2013) I needed to reschedule my son's visit because of school conflict. I talked to them and was told that the next available time is in February 2014.
This place takes on more customers than it can handle. So if you are ub an urgent situation you will be left in the cold.
So I am taking my son to the same doctor I am seeing even though it is 10 miles away.
This place books customers as a cheap airline.
Agreed, Brightnow dental is a rip off and a group of liars in simi valley, ca as well. the receptionist won't even give me the # to the corporate office so that i can call and get a proper refund of all the services i was overcharged for. !.
Boulder Colorado: I also was told that I have a "serious bone or gum infection" and would need "deep cleaning" at extra cost and they refused to do a regular cleaning and charged the usual fee of course. No other dentist in 20 years ever said that and I brush and floss every day!
I am going to report them to Aetna who has them on the recommended list of dentists.
I wanted I dentist closer to home, so I thought Bright Dental... BAD MISTAKE! The staff is so unprofessional, they are rude to each other and the patients! I went for my cleaning today and it was about 10 mins, they just kept talking about how stacked up they were, so I was just a number because they had me out of there so fast! They would let me sit there drooling and uncomfortable while they argued about other patients. I was even told, you have some polish around your mount, "you might want to stop by the bathroom on the way out to clean it." Seriously?!? I thought tha was their job.
I went to the office in Aurora, CO. I will not be returning. I called my old dentist and asked if I could be put back in their files, I'll drive the extra miles to go to a nice office and caring staff.
This place is committing insurance fraud, they will charge one more if one has insurance. Their response: Don't worry you only pay a small percentage and the co-pay. I don't think that is ok, they claim more money to the insurance company than if one paid out of pocket. I don't think it is right to rip off the insurance providers.
