On September 9, 2025, I made an online purchase of two tickets for the National Theater (Washington, DC) presentation of Mark Twain Tonight. The tickets arrived electronically via Ticketmaster, for adjacent seats A7 and A9. One of the tickets (seat A7) was legitimate; the other was for a seat that did not exist – A9! The theater was unable to provide satisfactory seating for this sold-out performance.
When I contacted Box Office Ticket Sales for a refund, they suggested I get proof from the venue and forward it to them. In other words, they sold to me a fake ticket – I called them on it – and they said, “prove it”.
Recommendation: I failed to vet Box Office Ticket Sales. Do not make my mistake.
