I belong to a church congregation in Sharonville, OH and with the Holidays approaching, we try to help as many families as we can to have a decent meal for the holidays. This particular family has no way of cooking for themselves, nor do they have money to purchase a meal and are in the Covington, Ft Wright Ky area. Our Pastor called the Bob Evans in Ft Wright, KY asking if we could purchase meals for the individual to pick up on Thanksgiving. He was told no and that the meal would have to be ordered on Thanksgiving Day. But he was welcome to call back and speak to the General Mgr the following day.
He called back and the General Mgr could not be bothered to come to the phone but instead was yelling across the restaurant to the person on the phone. (Unfortunately, he could not get the name of the Gen Mgr). Pastor was told that any dinner would have to be ordered and paid for when picked up and that basically they could not help us, even after explaining the severity of the situation. Pastor offered to purchase the meals on a cc and let the individuals pick the food up close to them and was told that could not be done. I am at a loss as to why this could not happen and will not be recommending patronage to Bob Evans any time soon. The slogan "We treat friends like family" fell extremely short, in this case and I and my Pastor and the individuals we were trying to help are appalled at how this situation was handled.
