Our project started in August . He originally said it would be done by the end of October , but then he stopped responding to our calls. I called from an unknown number and he quickly picked up and said it would be done by January 2022. We tried to get him to sign an estimated completion date, but he refused. He was also avoidant of phone calls. Eventually, he just stopped showing up altogether and sent his son instead. The worst part is his dishonesty. Both of us went to buy the pool equipment, and an employee told me I needed cash. I returned with cash and was given an invoice stamped "paid." Long story short, the employee was instructed by *** to use the cash to pay off his own balance, and my parts were never ordered. *** kept my money. Months later, I went to the pool parts store, and the manager told us what had happened - no parts were ever ordered. *** then called and delivered the wrong equipment. If I hadn't personally been there to check the *** PUMP, they would have installed a much lower quality one and kept the extra money. I specifically paid more for a higher quality pump. After months and hiring a lawyer because we gave *** the money for concrete, we got served because he never paid the concrete company. And as of today, he still owes them. I finally got the equipment I purchased with my lawyer's help. I also found out he was operating without a bond when he worked on my pool. I tried calling him again, but he didn't answer. June is just around the corner, and I still have a hole in my yard! This leaves me wondering why *** is so untrustworthy. Why does he seem so incompetent? Why does his word mean nothing? Does he not have respect for his clients, or is he mismanaging his company to the point where he can't deliver on his promises or even pay his employees? Who knows? But as a customer, I am left with all these questions. I feel utter disappointment and regret about hiring him.

I hired this pool contractor for a backyard remodel over a year ago. The total contract value is $165,000, and we have paid 90% of it. However, there is still about 40% of the job left to be completed. This contractor has not agreed to the timelines for completion and has been acting in a really bad way towards our agreement. They don't respond to our calls or emails, and the last conversation we had with the son *** of the owner *** was that they ran out of money and can't finish our job. We even have two contracts, one handwritten and one official that we had to create ourselves, and the owner *** signed it using Adobe Sign. We have plenty of documentation and proof of payments if you need more details. We are dealing with heavy rains here in CA, and their incompetence and poor workmanship have compromised our exterior drains.
