Barclays US Credit Cards review: Balance transfer check scam

Beware of Barclay credit card balance transfer check scam.
It happened to me several month ago, they send me checks for 0% APR, 5% transfer fee which I used 2 checks. After I received the statement, they claimed the checks have been expired therefore they charged 5% transfer fee + 29% interest charge. What a Bait & Switch !

As I called and talked to 2 representatives and 1 supervisor batch # GTRJTO, The 1st representative transferred the call to the supervisor, she could not solve the case. She claimed the check I used was 6% interests. However she'll submit to her boss.

So I called again the 2nd rep. she found the check was expired but the post date was the due date. Somehow I got charged by 29.9%. She said she'll submit a case.

Overall it looks like a scam to me.

Never use Barclay Credit card transfer checks!
