Banfield Pet Hospital review: My dog passed away, and I still have to pay for the insurance

I used Banfield for more than 12 years. On October 01,2025, they advised me that I needed to renewal the plan in order for the blood work to be covered even though I paid $418.02 plus $42.45 for the renewal. Unfortunately, my dog was not getting better so I had to take her again to Banfield and I end up paying $403.04 including putting her down on 10/18/2025 almost 2 weeks of renewing. I called them to cancel the insurance, and they advised me they couldn't cancel it. I only had 2 options either pay want I owe for the remaining of the year in one payment or have it taken out of my account every month until next October 2026. I have called corporate and no one will call me back [protected]. This is cruel and inhuman I don't understand why I need to keep paying plan if my dog pass away. This is pure a simple corporate greed. Beware of this and please don’t use Banfield!
