My car loan application got messed up real bad at Automax Of Las Vegas. They illegally changed the information I provided about my employment and my spouse's employment without asking us. They made it seem like we had been working for 6 months when we had actually stated 3 months on the application. They even went ahead and changed the 3 months to 8 months without our permission. The bank found out about the 6 months and rejected our loan. They told us to give the car back right away and charged us $500 for restocking. But here's the kicker, Automax wouldn't give us the remaining $900 from the $1400 we gave them unless I signed some voluntary surrender form. Can you believe that? And to top it off, Automax lied to the bank about us giving them a $2000 down payment, which was totally false. They also messed with our lease agreement by removing a name and making copies before sending it to the bank. I just want my $500 back and I also lost money on insurance, gas, and had to deal with a whole lot of inconvenience.

Fals advertisin' and horrible customer service. I bought a car from Automax on February 23rd. The sales rep, DJ, sold me the car and told me to refer people to 'em. They said I'd get $200 for each person I referred. So, three weeks later on March 12th, my girlfriend and I told 'em that I referred her. They said I'd get my $200 when she paid the rest of her down payment. She gave 'em $4,500 and asked if I'd get my $200. Brandon said yes and told me to bring my ID at 3pm for the check. So, on March 25th, I went to the office and talked to Brandon. He was rude and sarcastic, didn't care at all. He told me to wait in the front and rushed me out after 30 minutes. He said he wouldn't give me a check. I asked why, and he said the referral had already been paid to the right person. I asked who that was, and he said it was an OfferUp account. I told him I referred my girlfriend and I should be paid. They were rude and told me to leave when I mentioned the ComplaintsBoard.com. I'm really upset with the service I got from 'em and the lies and false advertising. It's a pandemic, and my family really needed that money. The salesperson, Chris, lied on my girlfriend's application and put his own name to get the referral fee. That's shady and deceivin'. My girlfriend cried because of the service she got when she came to verify that I referred her. That was the only reason she bought the car. She paid her car note a month and a half early. She only had the car for 2 weeks, and if this is the service they offer, she didn't wanna deal with it. She asked if she could return the car and pay the $500 restockin' fee stated in the contract to get her money back. Brandon laughed at her and said he'd take the car back but wouldn't give her a dollar back. She's been askin' 'em to check her car 'cause it shakes and makes noise. They promised a warranty, but they won't service her car or look at it. This really affects her feelin' of safety. We went to Automax 'cause her last car's engine blew, and they assured her she'd be taken care of. They said all the cars come with a 3-month warranty and they'd be happy to service her car. We have 3 small kids, and she doesn't feel safe drivin' this car or doin' business with this company. If she can't get her money back and return the car, that's understandable, even though they told her about the $500 restockin' fee and gettin' her money back. But then they denied it. We just wanna be treated like equal human beings and respected as customers who bought two vehicles. I want my $200 referral fee that I was promised. I put down $1,500 on 2/23, and she put down $4,500 on 3/12. I've never had such horrible service or felt so belittled.
