Auto Europe review: You charged me twice for a car rental and you customer service is terrible

auto europe charged me twice for a car rental in messina italy april 14 -18. The hertz office I returned it to in Palermo charged me when I returned the car and I paid $240.23 at that time. The bill showed up on my bank statement april 19. Auto europe charged me $224.50 almost a month before I took the trip and rented the car. The bill showed up March 23,2026 on my bank statement. I did not get to italy until april 7. I rented the car april 14. I understand I am not supposed to pay until I return the car. How did you know my rental dates before I did? Your rental process has been very suspicious and you are difficult to contact. I am starting a fraud investigation with my bank.

Claimed loss: $224.50 for the unauthorized duplicate rental charge.

Desired outcome: Please refund the full $224.50. no apologies necessary but give me contact information that works. your website doesnt
