Aurora Village Dental Group

On 12/17, I received two onlays from a dental clinic at H3337 Village. My insurance, Delta Dental, paid $678 total, and I paid $810 out of pocket. Post-procedure, I experienced severe tooth sensitivity and found a sharp point on one tooth. A return visit on 1/27/22 for adjustments revealed a hole in one onlay. Seeking a second opinion, another dentist found open margins and predicted a potential replacement need. The hole was temporarily filled, but by April 2022, it reappeared, larger, with increased sensitivity. A third dentist discovered a crack, recommending a crown, which my insurance won't cover due to a 60-month policy for the same tooth. After consultations, I believe the initial care was substandard, leading to the crack. Delta Dental suggested requesting the clinic to cancel the initial claim to cover the crown, but the clinic refused and was non-committal about a refund for my out-of-pocket expenses. A week has passed without a response, leaving me unable to chew on the right side and unable to afford the crown costing over $1,000.
