November 1st, 1:30 I had an appointment with Dr. Janeeka Benoit of Internal Medicine. Immediately had a closed off demeanor when she entered the room. All of what happened between me and Dr. Benoit was witnessed by my partner, who was also in the room with us, sitting in. Despite me explaining what I was concerned about when making the appointment (there was a note being written for the doctor to review when I made the call), when she came in she was very confused and kept asking what I came in for. When I tried to explain, she made it feel like I didn't have enough time to sit and explain my symptoms, and I had to keep pushing that my symptoms were different than what she was assuming, because she wasn't letting me fully explain what even happened. On top of that, I had talked about being sick over an entire year, and how it had progressed in summer, and was now bad enough to make me miss class this school year. Her response was that I am fine and that it is probably just covid, since it is viral season. I had to keep saying that what was wrong with me started before that. In one instance I said that a specific symptom had started early summer end of high school, and she waited until I finished saying that and then responded with an explanation that was far off of what I was feeling and what other doctor's have said to me. I proceeded to question her and she turned around saying that I had told her that my symptoms had started during this year's flu season. Completely different time period, and even after I corrected her very clearly after this, she continued to talk about flu season. Only after I corrected her would she type something, but she kept talking about anything but what I wanted to address, and kept telling me I was fine. I was concerned about having vitiligo because I match all of the symptoms and it is presenting itself the same way it presented in my dad (who has gotten a diagnosis on it) have white hairs all over my head and when I asked her why that was happening she couldn't explain and changed the subject back to covid. She only seemed to care about if I was dizzy, but my biggest concern was the fact that I keep getting sick, my allergies now occur every day, I have had moments where my vision goes black and sometimes I fall into doors (never passed out though, which seems to be all she cared about). Also I caught covid once in the beginning of October. I went into Urgent Care on October 31st, after this, and was administered multiple tests. While I was taking this test, the nurse told me that my covid test could come back positive since I have had covid and it can show positive for up to three months after, and she told me not to be surprised. The biggest result of that visit was that a had a high white blood cell count and something else that Dr. Hancock (Incredible doctor, really knew what he was doing, very thorough) said indicated an infection. I was specifically given a strep throat test and it came back negative. I mention this because the next day at my appointment with Dr. Benoit, despite having my file information pulled up right in front of her, she told me that I currently have covid and strep throat. When I corrected her and told her what the nurse told me yesterday, as well as my test results, she looked me dead in the eye and said, "Well you're on amoxicillin, and we use that to treat strep". I told her multiple times that I tested negative for strep just the day before. It was like whatever I said to her she would not listen to and would respond with whatever she could to get me out of there. She seemed to be in a rush and hurrying to leave. At the end I was almost in tears because I know what is happening to my body is not normal and everything I told her, instead of expressing genuine concern, she kept telling me I was fine and talking about flu season. At the end I had to press and ask, "Is there anything I can do to test for vitiligo, or to find out what is going on in my body?" And she shrugs and goes, I can order a blood lab and metabolic panel. Which I obviously agreed to, because I was hoping for something productive to come out of this doctor's visit. I only lived four days on campus and none of my roommates have gotten sick, I also do not spend a lot of time with people as I attend a small institute, and my campus is actually an apartment building with Covid-19 safety rules. She also had me lay on the table, and when she was doing a physical examination, she prodded me a couple times and then immediately sent me back to my chair. I had been examined by Dr. Hancock the day before, and I had been examined for at least a few minutes. She simple gave my stomach a couple of half-hearted presses and then sent me back to my chair. I also have developed eczema since my symptoms have gotten worse. I also talked about how sensitive I am to the sun, and without sunblock, it hurts to be under the sun's rays and I burn within an hour, and last time I got tan, there were parts of my skin that remained pale. I have poor vision, and my hearing seems to have gotten worse, none of this was heard out by her. My father has vitiligo and his disease presented as white hairs starting when he was a teen, and he didn't start showing skin patches until over forty. I told her this, nothing was heard out. After the doctor left us behind in the room, my partner insisted I ask to be seen by someone else, but I was so afraid of having this same experience, I went to the lab and then went home distraught. Now I am making this complaint because I am tired of having to come to the doctor constantly because I am constantly getting sick. It is not like I am getting sick with other people. I am catching things while other people I am living and staying around remain completely fine. I told Dr. Benoit this as well. On top of that, I told her that in the past few months, I have fallen ill to two colds that were so bad I missed school, and then covid, and then this infection, plus allergies everyday? Even with flu season I have never gotten sick this frequently and severely before. She couldn't even keep track of what sicknesses I had come down with, and was unable to properly refer to my lab results. I had a witness who can also corroborate with what happened at this appointment.

Claimed loss: I have missed so much school, and they are waiting to hear back from me why I am sick so much. The failure to apply effort at my appointment could get me a penalty for my attendance record.

Desired outcome: To see a doctor invested in discovering what is up with my body, covered by my insurance. I would also like to never be seen by this doctor again, and offered compensation for the mental anxiety inflicted upon me by this appointment.
