I have been trying to get in touch with API alarm for the first time since the takeover in Oct 2025 since January 4th 2026. I have called the 18002672001 number and I have called the API number provided on their site. Each time, it's answered by AI taking me in circles. Regardless, I do leave a message each time, so in total there are more than 4 voice messages left. I have also went on API's site and used the contact page to ask for a call back. Today is the 6th and to me, it is zero tolerance and completely unacceptable for an alarm company that is supposed to provide a sense of safety to not be available as needed. With that, I am going to cancel my service with API. I cannot accept any reason(s) at all for an alarm company for 2.5 days of no contact! If I had an emergency (of course I can call the cops), but what is the point if I cannot get a hold of my alarm company?
Recommendation: DO NOT EVER go with API Alarm unless you love dealing with AI and no sense of safety.
I do not even know why it is called a security company. you call them no answer, after holding you for 30 min it asks you to leave a message. but no body calls you back at all. you email them no answer more than an auto generated acknowledgment. the worst of all they do not monitor the alarm but very good at collecting the money. this is my true relationship with API since they bought AAA. I really felt as if it is a ghost compony that dos not exit physically. never ever seen this kind of busses
